Love the video! You should do more location shoots. Would love to see a "people of Tokyo" type video where you showcase different peoples' fashion styles and stuff. I've been to Japan a few times and have barely scratched the surface
Top tip to those planning to thrift in Tokyo: the vintage menswear section at 2nd Street Harajuku (down in the basement) is an absolute gem if you can't fit Koenji/Kichijoji to your schedule. I couldn't believe such a place existed and I quite literally bought LOADS of Japan exclusive North Face Purple Label stuff, Patagonia outerwear and vintage collegiate sweatshirts all for very reasonable prices.
I've always been curious about how you approach vintage shopping when looking for a look. A video series about how to vintage shop with a style in mind could help those not only know where to shop, but what kind of characteristics in clothing items to look for. I'd really like to see you take on a Yohji style for this kind of video.
RAGTAG is a dream, especially the big one in Shibuya and even the smaller ones like in Shimo-kitazawa. Plenty of mint condition items that have been cleaned, categorized and curated. Plus they have a really good mix of brands, styles and prices from just 2000 yen onwards.
MISSED YA. I'm already planning another trip to Japan because what I experienced earlier this fashion wise was crazy. Ngl I "wasted" so much time just strolling through Jingumae for a few days
thumbs up for showing those Wang's at 2:55 - man those are well worked over. I have lived here for 20 some years and I think we are on the same page. My advice is hit the streets watch the styles and from that work out what you want to take away.
this video was super helpful! Im studying in singapore right now and super interested in going to japan, especially for the fashion culture! more videos like this please :)
Hey, guy, I just got to Japan and I've also been getting into the idea of street fashion. I'd love to see you do videos on the fashion scenes of different cities like Kyoto, Osaka, Okinawa, or even somewhere just outside of Tokyo like Saitama! Keep up the good work, man!
Love your work always Reggie! Keep up the awesome work. I always go to your channel for fashion inspiration. Will have to try hit up your Airbnb tour when I go back to Tokyo next year.
1:59 LostHills store I saw them on insta but came across the shop randomly. It was like "Lets go there. Oh they sell a brand I like!" Brilliant shop. Really good staff. They might have a problem with scaling their own brands and having a constant amount of stock coming into their shop though.
I found H&M in Japan had a lot nicer items than here in Sydney, was a lot more organized and categorized too, I really liked it, it's a fucking mess here and I never shop at H&M
Yo Reggie, would it be possible to make a video on differences between Tokyo and Osaka street style, or something similar? Personally lived in Osaka for a few years, would love to see my city get some love
Planning to go next week. Definitely following this guide. Thanks Reggie! Btw, where's the best place to shop accessories? like the one you're wearing?
I went to big shop when I was in tokyo , not having Uniqlo in Canada back then. I think giant shop like the flagship store in Ginza is worth visiting but yah you problably won't find anything special. I spend two full nights just walking around in thrift shop I still feel like I misses out on a lot of them
Love your show! Where do bigger guys (US XL, XXL; 36-40 waist) shop? Bigger guys in Japan do exist but where do they go? That would be a very helpful episode if you haven’t done it already.
Wish be at Japan and miss Japan badly~ miss the Foods and Shopping~ Hope the COVID-19 pandemic getting well soon... Luckily I still can shop my snack, figures and Japan vintage stuff from hoyoyo Japan Proxy web~
Hey Reggie, great video and love the channel. I have a question for you. Planning a trip to Japan and have been watching a ton of your shopping videos. I wear a US men’s XL (got a taller torso), I’m not heavy but I have a bulkier frame. Would you say it’s hard to find secondhand finds in that size?
I've never heard anyone say they went shopping in japan just to brag about going to western brands they could've shopped at back home... never. And I know tons of girls in my age range (20s) who've been there, including me. Usually they'll shop at japanese ff brands like Wego or POC (the o is actually a heart) or go to those major shopping centers like Shibuya 109 if they're in Tokyo. And also Shimokitazawa (I think, if I remember correctly)... it was a trendy place with tons of vintage shops. I bought a kappa jacket there, but I'm still not sure if it was real.
Hey, im going to Japan in less than 1 month, and i was wondering if its possible to find clothes that fit for some one who is 185cm ? ( Especially for the Japanese brands ) Nice video dude :)!
I went to Japan, and yeah 6”6 will be tough, but that being said, so many clothes are super baggy. Oversized is Japan’s thing, so these oversized clothes might fit regularly on you. Japans “medium” is an international “small” from what I remember, so it can be difficult to find XL or XXL clothing. Worth sussing either way, look hard enough and you’ll find stuff
carmeister it is even ahead of time. But a cheat code to that is that you should book your flights from lax to japan since its more expensive to fly out from the bay. If you’re from the bay, spend that cash you saved on a roundtrip to and from lax
Depends on how you get there. I live in the Bay Area and my options usually boil down to either SF or San Jose airport to Narita. Though I’ve once had to take a flight from SJ to Haneda since it was cheaper that way. Also, turning cookies off while looking for ticket deals should help to find better prices because depending on your location, tickets will be cheaper or expensive.
I'm trying to stay longer than 3 months but me and my gf ain't married yet and we don't want to necessary be English teachers just cuz that's what they hiring for.
Love the video! You should do more location shoots. Would love to see a "people of Tokyo" type video where you showcase different peoples' fashion styles and stuff. I've been to Japan a few times and have barely scratched the surface
For real because all of the attention seems to be fixiated to Harajuku and I know there are way more interesting shops to visit.
😏
@@THECASUALco is it coming? 👀

you missed an important one,Reggie. For foreigners, ask about value-added tax (VAT) excemption upon paying for your copped products.
Is that different from the Japan Tax Free program
Gonna be in Tokyo for a month. I cannot wait to blow all of my money
Japan…japan…japan…. I love everything about Japan! 🥰
Yo Reggie as a black man in Japan, who cuts your hair?
Key I don’t know if your trying to clown him or not
Love JD Well, Japanese people tend to have straighter hair as opposed to Africans so I think it’s a pretty reasonable question to ask.. 🤔
Jeryll Lee I was implying that he doesn’t have a nice haircut. That’s all
I’m sure there are other Black people in Japan like him that can cut hair.
100% every time I go deeper into Tokyo I discover gems
Dude you forgot to mention Mode Off for vintage/thrift shopping. Best chain vintage stores imo.
Shimokitazawa is suuuuuuch an amazing town to visit and just explore. Sooooo calm and so many thrift stores.
RAGTAG is a dream, especially the big one in Shibuya and even the smaller ones like in Shimo-kitazawa. Plenty of mint condition items that have been cleaned, categorized and curated. Plus they have a really good mix of brands, styles and prices from just 2000 yen onwards.
Be fearless! Great advice to the Tokyo newbies and those looking to change up their fashion game.
Man this is such an underrated channel
Definitely deserves to be out there
MISSED YA. I'm already planning another trip to Japan because what I experienced earlier this fashion wise was crazy. Ngl I "wasted" so much time just strolling through Jingumae for a few days
Can't wait for my month long trip next year after I graduate!
Looking forward to traveling again... been too long.
Thx for posting. Keep it coming.

Love this! The last tip is precisely why I look forward to my next trip to Japan.

And Riggie, one point about the vintage clothing, Japanese are fxxking small. I just cannot find pieces in my size...
1:59 LostHills store
I saw them on insta but came across the shop randomly. It was like "Lets go there. Oh they sell a brand I like!"
Brilliant shop. Really good staff. They might have a problem with scaling their own brands and having a constant amount of stock coming into their shop though.
Love the vid! Been waiting a few weeks for your upload~
I found H&M in Japan had a lot nicer items than here in Sydney, was a lot more organized and categorized too, I really liked it, it's a fucking mess here and I never shop at H&M
bro the H&M here sucks. When he says to not shop for fast fashion we might as well lmao. We've got nothing down here :'(
I agree. Definitely worth taking a quick look as the style isn't the same.
Dope video. Keep up the good work.
2:52 Omotesando in front of the Apple Store

Hey Reggie, great video and love the channel.
I have a question for you.
Planning a trip to Japan and have been watching a ton of your shopping videos.
I wear a US men’s XL (got a taller torso), I’m not heavy but I have a bulkier frame. Would you say it’s hard to find secondhand finds in that size?
I rl want to travel to japan, whole different culture
I've never heard anyone say they went shopping in japan just to brag about going to western brands they could've shopped at back home... never. And I know tons of girls in my age range (20s) who've been there, including me. best vintage store & place to see in shibuya???
Yo reggie. U make me wanna live in Japan really.
Cool info bro.
At 6:15 there’s a Nike sweater with a big collar. What is this style of neck called/where the hell can I get something like it?
What was the second suburb you mentioned for vintage? I've spent time in Shimokitazawa but I didn't catch the other one you said.
1:37 is it me or did he flip you off just before you cut into the next scene xD
Love it man! Trying to get rich first so I can shop 'til I drop when I get there haha
Is Tokyo accessible for bigger sizes like American sized XL? I heard the sizing of clothes is different out there whereas they make them smaller.
Ugghh editing so guud
I love the channel man,I’m looking for proxy’s i really want to get in touch
Tokyo looks so fuckin beautiful damn
Can you do a video on thrift store in Tokyo?
Reggies back!
Never left!

Like it all 👋🏼🙏🏼👍🏼💨
Hey, im going to Japan in less than 1 month, and i was wondering if its possible to find clothes that fit for some one who is 185cm ? ( Especially for the Japanese brands )
Nice video dude :)!
5:12 i spot the koya bag :,)
I really regret not buying vintage when i visited Japan.
Is there any good techwear shop you can recommend in Tokyo?
I stay looking for good vintage and thrift stores in my city. I'm starting to think there aren't any.
I was wondering. Does anyone know of a good vintage shop in San Antonio or Austin TX?
I feel like I’m way to tall to shop in Japan or any Asian country since they have some of the shortest people on Earth.
Anyone know where I can get those trousers the guy in the blue is wearing at 1:06
Bro thank you so fucken much 😭😭
What are your thoughts on WEGO?
Oh lol I paused the video and commented right before you said your thoughts on WEGO
Anyone know any good thrift stores with like skate brand cloting and sneakers?
Whats the name of the intro song?
Fresh undercover shirt
Is it hard to find 'western sized' clothing. I'm 6,6 should I even bother shopping for clothes in Japan?
if you're 6'6, that might be tough
I went to Japan, and yeah 6”6 will be tough, but that being said, so many clothes are super baggy. Oversized is Japan’s thing, so these oversized clothes might fit regularly on you. Japans “medium” is an international “small” from what I remember, so it can be difficult to find XL or XXL clothing. Worth sussing either way, look hard enough and you’ll find stuff
Is it expensive to travel to Japan from california
carmeister it is even ahead of time.
