Hey guys just want to say love the meal preps you do and all the great ideas you've given me to continue my weight loss journey. I started out at 180kg and on my own I got to around 150kg. However when I found you guys a few months ago, it really helped me get more of a handle on the numbers and what I was doing right and what I had to change. Since August 1st I've lost an additional ~30kg and am now under 120kg for the first time in the last 8 years. I'm trying my best to reverse type 2 diabetes and get on my way to another 50kg loss to reach my goal weight of 70kg. You guys don't know how much your channel has helped and I just wanted to let you know that you really do help initiate change through your content and the education you provide here. Please don't ever stop
CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!! We are both absolutely elated for you!!!! Thank you for sharing your story with us!!! You are on your way to reversing it -- KEEP GOING!!!! Keep us updated! =)
Will definitely do so! I feel super confident now that I actually understand how the numbers work and I have a definitive way to track and calculate macros and calorie goals. I feel that it's this fact which has set me up for nothing but success. I'm not afraid of my scale anymore and every time I weigh in I'm confident in knowing I'll have a loss. Some weeks I don't get as much of weight loss but I then measure myself to find I've lost inches instead! So I no longer stress out about if I'm doing it right. Your myth busting and education videos have really helped me just power forwards knowing I am doing it right and that I can achieve it every single day! Will snapchat you guys some of the delicious breakfast yoghurt cups I made following your guide soon!
Wooo! This is so amazing!!! Again, thank you for sharing!! Never be discouraged if you step on the scale and haven't lose as much or if anything. Your body is just adjusting and you're totally right that you're checking inches!!! That is GREAT! It's not always about the number on the scale!!! :) And if you gave us your info to calculate your macros on our video, let us re-do them if you've lost 20-30 pounds since then! They will get lower now as you're losing weight. :)
Oh sure! Thanks so much. Height: 170cm, Weight: 118 kg / ~260 lbs, BF%: 46.8%, Female, 30 years old :) I also average between 4000-7000 steps per day and I'm a graphic designer, so I spend most days sitting.
Your total calorie goal is 1900 calories per day, aim for 150 carbs, 120 protein and 90 fat! Try that for at least 30 days and see how you go :) We recommend adding in 30 minutes of walking a day to get up your steps. 10,000 should be your new goal!! And PS - VERY cool that you're a graphic designer, any chance you know how to do thumbnails and stuff like that??! Send me an email at fitcouplecooks@gmail.com :)
Not only I lost 3 kilograms in 2 weeks, my knife skill is a lot improved! Whatever you guys did in the video, even the little details, i always paid attention to. Thank you for your passions, guys!
Omg..i really love your channel. Easy to cook and simple. Not forgetting the one pot meals! Thanks for creating such easy and simple food to prepare. 😍
I love how personable & educational you guys are! I've been working with a nutritionist for nearly 20 weeks now and I came across your videos and plan to try some recipes in the coming weeks! I'm VERY excited!!! I would love to see more vegetarian recipes!
You two are sooo funny! just ran into you tonight...ive been married 19.5 years and its important to have fun with each other. On another note. Great meal prep ideas!!! you make prepping fun! Thanks for the giggles!
made this a couple of days ago, wasn't sure if there would be much flavour since few ingredients were used but omg so tasty, good honest home cooked meal! chicken skin was nice and crispy.
Tip: Although it might take a little more elbow grease, you can also peel the skin of the pumpkin with a carrot peeler! That way, you don't lose so much of the pumpkin meat!
Hey guys! I love your meal prep videos, they are so simple and delicious. I would love if you could make like a teriyaki chicken video or a stuffed sweet potato meal prep video!
Have this in the oven right now (subbed butternut squash for pumpkin for convenience), and you're not kidding. It smells great! Found your channel only a week ago, and this is the third recipe I've tried so far. Thanks for the great tips and ideas!
I'm so glad other couples are weird too lol. Did the chicken fajitas over the weekend, turned out awesome. This looks great too; slowly but surely getting over my fear of cooking chicken!
Another awesome recipe to make this week! Love the extras at the end too :D Would you guys be willing to go more in depth about what you eat for lunches? My mom and I always wonder since we only use these meal preps for dinner time.
love you guys... you are just awesome... meal you prepare is awesome... every meal is so yummy and so easy to cook... you made my life easy... with you meal preparation recipe's... love you guys😍😍😍
I cannot wait to try this Meal Prep! I love Fall foods and I love squash! I am not sure about making the pumpkin, so I may just use butternut squash. This looks delicious!
HI, I love to see both of you. I want to cook for myself a whole week so, give me some trick for frozen meal. After re-heat by microwave its not good like cook fresh. Thank you
Two questions, totally unrelated to the food, haha. Where is that awesome oil bottle and your metal bowls from.? Love them (and you guys.! haha.!) :) Thanks.!
Hi guys i stumbled across your videos last week and thought wow this is what i need. I need to loss about 30kg to get to my goal weight. So thanks to your amazing videos I'm going to do it. Your meals are simple to follow and not fancy which i like they are normal foods lol, well i have been shopping and brought everything i need to make 4 of your meals for the week and a few for the freezer. I will keep you posted on how i go but thank you again. From Melbourne Australia.
Yay, Rebecca!! You can do it!!! Make sure you check out our videos about macros, that will help you as well. Send us pictures when you make everything!! :)
Hi guy's thanks for another great video y'all preparing all my favorite veggies 🤔one thing tho can I use butternut squash if I can't find the other pumpkin, and oh yeah the shirts are cute ,I gotta get mine's😎
Hey Shantay, you don't have to get a green one, an orange one will work too! And yes, you can also use butternut squash, but there will be more carbs in BNS than pumpkin. Send us a picture when you get your shirt!!!! :)
Love this recipe. As usual. In love with everything u show on this channel. Secondly the 'fitcouplecooks' tshirt is. Super cool. Especially with the. Dumbbell on the right side. Thank u
I used to have a dog (Debo) like Jack but could never figure out what breed he was. Some would say he was Peekapoo or a Poodle Bischon mix. I miss Debo. Anyway this recipe looks good.
Hi, guys. That chicken looks amazing. What do you love about potato and tomato recipes? Have a good day, guys. By the way, Stefanie, your ring is really beautiful.
Dogs generally love pumpkin and sweet potato, just be careful with pumpkin.....it gets digestive things moving....rather quickly. :). I feed my fuzzies dried sweet potato as a treat, they get pretty stoked.
LOL we didn't give him too much, so he didn't have a problem. But thanks for the warning! I made that mistake giving him too much coconut oil once, haha! Do you have a dehydrator that you dried them in?
+Fit Couple Cooks I do use a dehydrator. Coat them with a little olive oil, or coconut (if previous results haven't put you off) and dry them til they're still bendy but pretty dried. There's a little experimenting to be done with original thickness so you don't end up with sweet potato shrapnel.
Regarding to eat the skin or not, for me it depends on the variety of pumpkin you're using, some taste much nicer than others, some stay tough while others soften. Make sure you use a very sharp knife when cutting pumpkin as they are very hard and take a lot of pressure to cut through them regardless of whether you are using a sharp knife or not but the sharper your knife the less pressure required to cut and the greater control you have of the knife. BE VERY CAREFUL, pumpkins are not easy to cut safely depending on variety.
Lol!! I love your little side commentary "ohh that was has to share his rosemary" .... "that one is green... and we have all those orange ones back there" 😂 Also love your added helpful tips 😊
Congratulations on the 100k :) Jack is very cute.... Every morning when I'm making my smoothy, "accidentally" a leaf of spinach falls to the floor and one of my dogs just happens to be there to clean it up for me :)
Thank you so much!!! and LOL... accidentally! We haven't tried giving them spinach. Is spinach good for dogs? We 'accidentally' dropped lots of pumpkin after we figured out he loved it!
A dog would have to consume large amounts of spinach to be a problem, even for humans too much spinach can cause kidney stones. Strawberries are safe, but Grapes, Onions are not, for example. Raw chicken bone is safer vs cooked chicken bone as cooked bone splinters and can puncture the dogs stomach, raw bone can also cause chips on dogs teeth, especially older ones. So we dont give ours any bones. We make our dog food and we use 100% canned pumpkin for fiber not the pie filling kind. Pumpkin is good for dogs too.
how would you guys recommend taking these and storing them on the go? I'm a college student and its difficult for me to keep my meals in a cold area and by the time I eat them they're already lukewarm and nasty. Any tips?
Hmm, you could bring it in a bag with an ice pack in the bag! Like a lunch bag, I see them at TJMaxx a lot. They just have little handles and come in all different colors and such. Then just buy some ice packs to keep it cool.
So I have a random question, is your oven a convention or convection oven? I have an oven that can do both and I use the conventional mode and a lot of my meals don't come out as tasty looking as what yours does.
My sister and I used to make this sometimes after she started watching this channel for keto/lowcarb recipes but it's been at least a few years since we watched this and I was checking the video for the ingredients. I was very confused by 'green squash' and was like WHAT'S DAT???? So I fast forwarded to through the video and was like 'Oh... It is zucchini/courgette.' 😂
GOOD VIDEO.....SMH....THIS SEEMED LIKE IT TOOK LONGER THAN THE OTHERS....YOU PUT ALOT OF WORK INTO IT. GREAT TEAM WORK. COOL SHIRTS. CTFU @ OUT TAKES LOL
Yeah that's pretty common. Some people limit the more starchy vegetables such as sweet potatoes, corn, peas, pumpkin, zucchini and a few others because they're much more caloric than the non-starchy veggies. Non-starchy veggies include broccoli, lettuce, spinach, mushrooms, and some others.
hello fit couple please I have a request for you with what can I replace the yam as its not available in my country?even wheni find sweet potatoea they re white inside not orange and extremly solid !when baked they have a nutty flavor and short time after wont be ablento eat more! all this maybe yoir videos are meant to USA but someone here from far away "Algeria"is following you since a while now and planning to start tomorrow with Mealprep ;)
Very cool you live in Algeria! And congrats on starting your meal prep journey! Any root vegetables will do! What about regular potatoes? You can add things like brussel sprouts, beets, broccoli, yum!
I HATE Zucchini. I've yet to taste some that isn't battered and fried that I liked. besides more pumpkin or potatoes what could I substitute that wouldn't get burned in the oven?

Thanks you worked out my macros for me but I dont really understand how to use them lol, but im working on it.
First, yum! will be trying that for sure. Second, what's the scoop on Himalayan salt, please? What does it do that sea salt doesn't?
good video. i like the basic kitchen tips. always helps :D
Awesome!!! Thanks for letting us know :)

curiosity: "rosmary" in Brasil is alecrim , unpkin in Brasil is abobora :D
cooking and learning. loved. Namasté
Wow!! Very interesting, thank you for sharing, Paula!
Is it advisable to just reheat it in a microwave with the container? What kind of setting should I use if its ok?
I don't want to lose weight, I want to put on healthy muscle by eating good quality healthy meals.
Hi, guys. That chicken looks amazing. What do you love about potato and tomato recipes? Have a good day, guys. By the way, Stefanie, your ring is really beautiful.
Thanks so much, Byron!
What should I preheat the oven to? I thought mybe I missed it and I have watched the video 3 times!
lol we always preheat the oven right in the beginning of the video -- 400F or 200C
You should roll a length of foil to create a separator in your baking dish.
Wow! That's a GREAT idea!!!!!
Cool! Thanks for the tip!
What size are your fit packer trays??
By the way love your show, food always looks fantastic. Thank u
There is a link to the ones we have in the description. And thanks! Glad you're enjoying our channel!!
Where did u get the black with white baking tray 🙏🏼❤️️
What temp did they cook they cook the chicken?
400F
How do y'all wash your vegetables? You left the skin on the sweet potato and I have trouble with that because I never know if it's clean enough 😶
hi new to your channel and liking what I see so far but is Himalayan sea salt the only salt you use? Is there a noticeable difference
Yes Himalayan salt have essential minerals. You should not eat table salt or iodised salt.
BE VERY CAREFUL, pumpkins are not easy to cut safely depending on variety.
this looks delicious.
It really is!! We just made more for dinner :)
ah, horse shoe pumpkin! Looks funny. I'll keep them in that shape to serve my friends.
lol, it does look like a horse shoe!!
a peeler also works for the pumpkin skin
great idea!
Lol!! I love your little side commentary "ohh that was has to share his rosemary" .... "that one is green... and we have all those orange ones back there" 😂
Also love your added helpful tips 😊
haha! Thanks Rebecca! :)
What's a good substitute for the sweet potatoes? I'm not a fan of the super sweetness of them and a lot of these meal preps use them
For this recipe you can use more pumpkin. Or you can sub for brussel sprouts!
Hello, sorry but may i ask after you prep them, do you put them into the chiller and microwave when you want to eat them?
You can do that or you can heat up in a pan on the stove or you can eat it cold =)
Fit Couple Cooks alright, thanks for the quick reply!
Awesome!! Great info, thanks for sharing!
FIT PUP!!! He needs his own channel :)
LOL yes! he's such a cutie :) You can see him a lot on our snap chat!! :)
would you suggest these more for lunch or dinner, in size?
It works great for both =)
how would you guys recommend taking these and storing them on the go? I'm a college student and its difficult for me to keep my meals in a cold area and by the time I eat them they're already lukewarm and nasty. Any tips?
Hmm, you could bring it in a bag with an ice pack in the bag! Like a lunch bag, I see them at TJMaxx a lot. They just have little handles and come in all different colors and such. Then just buy some ice packs to keep it cool.
I love you guys
my four year old son was watching your video with me and he said, "Mom, we need to get a keezer." (lemon squeezer.)
AWWW! So cute!!
So I have a random question, is your oven a convention or convection oven? I have an oven that can do both and I use the conventional mode and a lot of my meals don't come out as tasty looking as what yours does.
hey Chris, Convection is always better =)
I will give that a shot for next weeks meal prep!
"Round the outside, round the outside." Tee hee haaaa😊
Where did you guys get your lemon squeezer. When I was working as a bartender it was my favourite way to have lemon water! ❤️
Yes! Totally! The link is in the description box :)
Fit Couple Cooks yay! I'll have to check it out! I miss the convenience
LOL!!!! Too funny. Glad you got that sorted out. HAHAHAHA
I love your accents. I also love your videos.

YES! It's so yummy :)
What degrees was that over on 425 or what??
Love jack's hoodie! Go blue hens 👍
WOO! Fellow Blue Hen? :)
You guys live in Delaware??
Iv read from a few nutritionists that leafy greens, herbs, and most spices can be considered "free." Thoughts?
Yeah that's pretty common. Some people limit the more starchy vegetables such as sweet potatoes, corn, peas, pumpkin, zucchini and a few others because they're much more caloric than the non-starchy veggies. Non-starchy veggies include broccoli, lettuce, spinach, mushrooms, and some others.
you guys're so sweet
yummy...
Just ordered a purple FCC shirt!!!
AHHH! YAY!!!! Send a pic when you get it!!!
hello fit couple please I have a request for you with what can I replace the yam as its not available in my country?even wheni find sweet potatoea they re white inside not orange and extremly solid !when baked they have a nutty flavor and short time after wont be ablento eat more!

Very cool you live in Algeria! And congrats on starting your meal prep journey! Any root vegetables will do! What about regular potatoes? You can add things like brussel sprouts, beets, broccoli, yum!

I wonder if you can't find pumpkin other times of the year if you could just sub it for more sweet potato or zuchinni?
