My dishwasher make ans model was different (inglis) but this still helped give me the confidence to replace a faulty control board - thank you! It really was quick, too. Spent $5 on that #15 torx instead of $1000 on a new dishwasher! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
I have an Amana ADB1100AWS4 and the start button has worn out. It doesn't work most of the time unless you press it at different angles and get lucky. All other buttons work. I've been given conflicting information by other parts stores. One says to replace the control board and one says to replace the buttons between the front shroud and the control board. I've also been told it could be the user interface control. Any thoughts?
Thanks, all I need to know is how to put back the little gasket that is in the door. I saw a video about leaking they said to check that!! It just pulls out. I couldn’t believe the crud I had to clean. Now I can’t remember how to put it back?? Any help??
I can see the light on the touch pad is on, by can not be controlled. Does this mean pad is ok, and the problem is the control board, not the touch pad?
Unfortunately for me, a bad control board and a bad start switch (control panel) give similar symptoms. I have done the light test by pushing hi temp / heated dry - hi temp / heated dry. All buttons lit up except Steam Sanitize. As it runs through it's test cycle, should the Normal Wash actually do more than light up? I don't hear a valve opening to allow the unit to add water for a wash. Other items click and whir and blow. I have had to replace the control board once before and the unit is no more than 3 years old. I have determined the dual door closed momentary switches both have continuity (as long as I was in there I also checked the fuse).
hi 1gladiator888. The control board controls all functions of the dishwasher. A faulty or malfunctioning control board could display an array of symptoms, from not filling, not draining, or not washing. These symptoms, however, often require a simpler repair than replacing the control board, so I would recommend heading to the Partselect Dishwasher Repair Page and troubleshooting some other possible causes before considering control board replacement: www.partselect.ca/dishwasher+repair+repair.htm. Best of luck finding the problem, and with your repair!
Hi Steve- I have an Amana dishwasher that is just over a year old (out of warranty). Within 3 months several buttons stopped working. The control panel was replaced and that solved the problem. Now the light that lets you know that the cycle is complete "clean" will not illuminate. Dishes are getting clean and the washer appears to be working fine otherwise. Your thoughts please. Thank you.
Whirlpool dishwasher DU1145xtpq1 FR5109057 does not work, normal light flashing, I have tried the heated dry, normal but it still blinks when power is on
Juanita Fields I am a bit confused by your symptom description. Perhaps our diagnostic page for your model will help you pinpoint the problem and solution! www.partselect.com/AdvancedModelSearch.aspx?ModelNum=DU1145XTPQ1&mfgModelNum=&fkMfgID=3

I changed the control board but start light still blinking. Is there a reset process?
I have this exact dishwasher and followed your great instructions exactly, but I've still got nothing! Suggestions anyone?
How do I put the small dishwasher gasket
What would be symptoms of a bad board and how would you confirm the board is bad or good
