You guys put a huge smile on my face. I just love you guys, the conversation and your energy in general. Listening from South Africa. Looking forward to part 2 of this trip. Enjoy and stay safe ❤ Carlize de Castro
Listening to you both is the highlight of my drive home from work. I spend a lot of that time laughing and agreeing with so many of your comments Your trip away sounds wonderful and relaxing except for the blue bag incident. 😢 So pleased that you found it. Sometimes you just know deep down that you'll find your lost items. Good on you for not giving up on it. Looking forward to listening to the next chat. 🙂 Take care
Thank you so much, Susan ❤ How lovely to know that we are with you in your way home from work! We appreciate you very much, thank you for being you xx Ps: I hope I’m in the front and Bri’s in the back??? 😂🚗😘
Omgoodness, you two are soooo brilliant together, guys, we LOVE you!!! We laughed so much listening to your podcast. 👍🤣 I almost had heart attack over that freaking blue bag! 😜 We were over the moon that you found your shopping, Liz! It restored our faith in the goodness of people. 🙏 We were dying laughing🤣🤣🤣from Liz's "free girls" and Brian's "free boys" 🤣😜. Pricless👍😜 And wooow, the prices there are incredible!👍 Words can’t describe how much we love laughing with you guys. 🤣💖 We definitely feel your laughs, energy, and humor are back.😘 You guys went through a lot in the recent months. You needed this break. You deserved it💖 .....and the shopping too!😜👍 We are really happy for you. Lots of love to both of you. 💖💖
Great story about the found duty free perfume. That is amazing that you found it all. The stories about being free are hysterical. So many shared laughs. So glad that Liz had the girls out free and Brian was enjoying freedom too. 😂 Wonderful to see you both so happy and relaxed. 😊
Thank you my friend! I have been thinking of you when we released this episode, I know you had said you were looking forward to it and I hoped you enjoyed it! 🥰 Much love, Liz x
Liz and Brian, I just LOVED this! I laughed out loud, it felt like you're back! Nothing can change what has happened, but I'm so glad that going away was the right thing to do, and Brian was right Liz, in spite of your reluctance! Go on having a relaxing chilled time, and thank you for sharing.xxxx
Hello, my lovely friend, 🥰 Thank you! We are so glad you enjoyed it! The break has been lovely. Truly a breath of fresh air (Bri always knows best) ❤️ Much love to you, Chris xx
I love your funny banter. You both deserve to put your feet up while your house is being cleaned. I've had times when I've needed home help and all I wanted to do is show them how to clean correctly (that's a whole other story). I quite enjoy cleaning and once I start I know that I will spend hours on one thing which is totally unnecessary but I figure it's better to be that way opposed to having a dirty house. You have both been through a lot this past year and deserve a break away. You are well loved not just by family and friends but also by your RUclips family. Everytime I watch your video's I end up laughing and I've learnt a lot about who I am as a kiwi from listening to both of you. It's smart to be aware of your environment and possible tourist traps. Thank goodness you were able to go back and get your special perfumes. About 10 years ago I went off to England to see my sister and her family for three months. I spent a week in San Francisco on the way and then Vancouver on the way home and to Paris and Italy while I was in England. My parents and sister were worried about me going on my own with my health and being on the spectrum and I told them I'd be perfectly okay. I stayed in San Francisco for a week on the way. My flight was delayed by 9 hours which meant I arrived at about 10pm. I checked in to my hotel in the city so once I checked in I needed to eat. As soon as I stepped out of the hotel I noticed a man following me even though it was right in the city and plenty of people were about. I went into the Subway takeaway shop and explained to the shift manager what was happening and he ended up making me a sandwich and walked me back to the hotel. They had actually known this guys MD because it was common. When I messaged my parents they were worried and I said that I had researched all the possible scenarios that could occur travelling as a solo woman traveller. The second issue was at the train station in Rome. A man followed me as I looked around etc before I took the train to Venice. In the end I turned and faced him and said that if he doesn't stop following me I'd scream louder than he could imagine. I believe he thought a little white female solo traveler was the perfect target so he continued to follow me and I screamed which saw him run because there are many local people waiting to scam tourists which results in police presence. My sister who is a news producer and I went to Paris. She was filming a documentary for the BBC on the Mona lisa. After filming we met up at a local restaurant for dinner. It was a small restaurant and I we were at a small table. My sister had her massive handbag on the floor wide open while I had mine tucked under my arm. The large table of six next to us got up to leave and I noticed a guy sitting at a 2 person table nod at the young waiter. He got up and walked to the table next to us and I could see he was going to grab my sisters bag. Just as he was about to put his foot through the handle I said PICK UP YOUR HANDBAG NOW. The next night at a different restaurant we ended up sitting next to the couple who was sitting next to us the night before. They said that we were very lucky because the next people at our table were robbed. I explained what my sister and I experienced. My sister who moved from NZ to live in the UK when she was 22 seemed to be unaware of safety. Sorry that was a very long explanation of how to stay safe but also to still enjoy your time overseas. I love how natural and real you both are. You say what we all think but we are too embarrassed/scared to say. You make me feel like we have been friends and family for years. It takes genuine, down to earth good people like yourselves and that can change ones life. Stay safe, have fun and safe travels. Never forget how amazing you are. XOXOX
Oh, Amy. I love you… Thank you for sharing your experiences, it takes a lot of bravery to travel alone and it sounds as if you have experienced a lot and learned a lot! What a beautiful message, thank you, you don’t know how much it means to us to know we are connecting with you, thank you, Amy ❤Liz and Brian xx
I recall years ago, living overseas for a few years, we were provided with domestic help, gardener and without a thought, I would clean along with the help which my neighbours thought it was hilarious. I rather have my kids with me wherever I go than leaving it to the help.😂😂
🤣🤣 That'd be me too, Mattie!! Ah, yes, the kids...I wish I could have packed Sonny up and brought him with us...he'd be here now, cleaning, cleaning, cleaning...🤔🤣🧹🧹🧹
