Only reason why it’s better than the us is because you can’t afford the us. So you have to act like a king in a 3rd world country because you didn’t work hard enough in America
Greetings from Jomtien Philip. Great video. I retired here, at age 64, 2 1/2 months ago. It was a whirlwind at first....overcoming jetlag (from US), getting my retirement visa. Bank account. A pool villa rented for a year, wifi, gym membership, setting up my new household (I brought nothing but a backpack and 2 suitcases. I sold everything else in the US). The factor that most resonated with me was the lack of consumerism. I left Palm Beach County, Florida. One of the most materialistic places I've ever been. Ostentatious display of wealth. People who should know better (older people) caught up in ostentatious display of their wealth and their obsession with keeping up appearances. Well, I shed my RV, my boat, my touring motorcycle, my truck.......100% of my personal possessions were sold or given away. I told myself "well, you won't have much because you won't need much". The reality is that I am living a lifestyle no less than in Florida in my rented villa.....for a fraction of the price. Like you, I ride a motorbike. My truck's fuel bill used to be $300/month. Now my gas bill for the scooter is about $12 monthly. All those expenses involved with 2 vehicles (registration, maintenance, insurance)....gone. At 64, I have private healthcare insurance with Pacific Cross. Top shelf at the best hospitals. I pay annually what I would have paid in one single month for private healthcare insurance in the US. I live with my Cambodian girlfriend. She grew up on a farm and is tight with every Baht. I think we spent no more than $40 in the last 2 days. She cooks at home, from scratch, frequently. So yes. I am completely onboard and can attest to what you have posted as being absolutely spot-on!
Nick, your Thailand life sounds great, with fewer things to worry about compared to being in the U.S. Like you say 'keeping up with appearances" and possessions seems to be common in the U.S. I do not miss that part. There is a certain freedom and joy that comes with a scooter, versus car dependency in the U.S. Thank you for your comment, it is a reminder of what makes life in Thailand more attractive than living in the U.S.
@@Jack-russell103 At 64+ years old i bought a top-shelf policy (Pacific Cross) at the best hospitals (inpatient only) for $2600 per year. My Cambodian girlfriend is 32. I bought her the same policy for $700 annually. I used to live in Jupiter Farms, btw.
Retired from the US military at 44yo. I can tell you, without a doubt, that life in Thailand (currently residing in Pattaya - 4 years) is 10X better than living in the US.
Greetings! I am also a US military retiree and will be visiting Thailand soon, with the thought of actually moving there. I plan to spend some time in Pattaya, any recommendations for decent hotels at reasonable prices? Will my T-Mobile cell phone work in Thailand?…Thanks….
@@WayneAnthony-w1t Sorry for the delayed response. Your T-Mobile will work, but it will cost you dearly. Better to just pick up a local SIM here from 7-11, its really really cheap and a good deal (less than $30 for a month, unlimited internet). Free Wi-fi is available at almost every establishment. Hotels are pretty much the same around Soi Buakhao. I stayed at Adelphi Hotel 4 years ago when I moved here, not too expensive, no complains. Nothing fancy, but clean. Any other questions, let me know.
I'm living here 17 years, its not all cupcakes and roses. It has vastly improved, but it's not the country comforts you likely enjoy now, but it is safe, there's relatively no opportunity to leagally make money to survive, visa's are not easy unless you work for a company or make a company. You'll always hear the "good stuff" but rarely hear the challenges of lving in Thailand, Philippines, Lao's or cambodia. Just do you Due diligence when making a life changing move. good luck
I agree the pollution is horrible that will shorten your life by at least 10 years the stray dogs the sewage odor everywhere the super hot and super humid weather makes Miami feel like Alaska kinda heat, So it's not all about cheap living your quality of life will defiantly drop in Southeast Asia !!!!! PS .....THAI FOOD IS WAY OVERRATED !!!!!!
@MrORANGEMAN1966 How about bouncing around between different affordable countries like Turkey, or countries in Europe, like Albania or Croatia, if you want to experience cooler weather and a different culture? That kind of lifestyle seems better to me than staying put in an expensive country like the US or Australia.
Greetings from Alberta, Canada. I'm a female in my 50s and thinking of leaving Canada due to the politics, extremely high cost of living, and overall unhappiness. Your video was lovely and pointed out so many things that we're missing here. I am definitely looking into this!! Thank you for the insight and inspiration!!
I met two elderly ladies in Pattaya who said they were from London and looked out thought gloom through double glazed windows most of the year and if they went out there was a 50% chance of being mugged. Also food and utilities are much cheaper and they said they have Sunshine daily most of the year . I have lived in. Thailand for 11years and agree with those ladies. Most people are rfriendly and not demographically destroyed.
So happy my Wife and I made the move to Retire here in Thailand 1 1/2 years ago! We feel the same as you do! You get what you put out. Compassion goes along way here. No lack of smiles here in the land of smiles 🇹🇭 😊Thank you Thailand for having us 🙏
It sounds like you and your wife have really embraced life in Thailand and are thriving in your retirement. The positivity and compassion you bring with you definitely make a difference, and it’s great to hear that you’re enjoying the warmth and smiles that Thailand is known for - same for me! Thanks for sharing your experience 🙏
I can only agree with you again and again, I just spoke about these exact points with my Thai friend. I've been living in Bangkok for 6 years, alternately in Malaysia when I'm fed up with the city. It's a dream life and I'm so grateful every day that I get to experience it here. I live much healthier than at home in Germany, have lost 35 kilos, do sports, swimming and massage every day. What a dream ❤ And dont forget the beautiful girls everywhere... 😄
That is great news that Thailand inspires your healthy lifestyle, including the 35 kilo weight drop. I often tell my out of shape friends in the U.S. to come to Thailand to get their swag back, and their health. And yes, all the beauty of Thailand can be a motivator, including Thai women 👍
This is exactly the content I wanted to see. I’m not interested in 25 year olds trying to seem glamorous. I want to understand daily living. A lot more of my time is spent doing everyday, normal things than making Instagram worthy moments.
I visited the Philippines 3 times last year and is now my go to country that I can honestly not get enough of every time I’m there!! The culture, the friendly English engaging people and the love for the most exotic morena skin sexy eyes Filipinas are just a few reasons to start🥰
@@alansapilipinas I have visited Thailand many times a year since 2019 and yes I agree with your statement!! However the language barrier in Thailand for a majority of their people is bothersome to me! Now in the Philippines I feel at home with the Catholic religion and women with a warmer heart looking to make a connection w/ me and not feeling inclined to “renting a girlfriend” there as I feel we have to do when in Thailand
As a Singaporean..been travelling to Thailand multiple times..my retired age will be living in Thailand.. it make me more alife like a real human being
30-40 years ago I was planning to one day retire in Singapore. Nowadays I don't even go for a holiday there, because it has become too expensive. Now retired in Thailand and am happy here.
I just turned 50 and now that my son is off to college I've was thinking of getting a boat and mooring in the Caribbean but the cost of living and frankly the biggest hurricane season theyre predicting, the massive wealth gap and poverty vs the ultra wealthy in their ungodly yatchs, the tourist traps and taxed everything, the never ending mosquitoes and all the requirements to even set foot somewhere....well why would I choose that over Thailand with those gorgeous waters and mountains! The answer is clear and Phucket always comes up as top 10 affordable and healthy places to live in the world. This vid brings me hope Im not crazy! Thanks!
I've been traveling to Phuket since 2015 for about 3 to 4 months every year. I was just there this past December 1st until the end of April. I will always make Phuket my winter location. I leave for a bit, heading to Saigon or Kuala Lumpur, then come back after a month. Typically I just get the e-visa and a 30 day extension so I can stay 90 days, although now I can just do the 60 day stamp when entering the country. I will always love Phuket and will never stop going there. I'm fine riding a motorbike, and I was there during the start of covid, from the 1st part of March to July 1st of 2020 before I headed up to Bangkok. I know almost every road on the island since we couldn't swim in the ocean for almost three months, and can make my way around most of the traffic. I use the airport bus whenever I arrive, so I don't need to worry about taxis, although last year I arrived late and got a fair price from the airport to where I stay in Phuket City. I have my favorite places I eat, and I have several friends on the island. I absolutely love the island, no where is perfect anymore. Phuket City has great night markets, cheap food if you know where to eat, and amazing beaches all over. If you want to get away, you can just go up to Mai Khao and you can swim with no one around you...many spots up there where there isn't anyone on the beach. I stay with a Thai friend that rents me a room and a motorbike for 8,000 baht a month. We call each other brother, and he will always have a room for me. There are so many places I can eat for a couple of dollars, and for me, I can easily live on the island for around $1k USD a month. I've been traveling the world since 2003 and this will always be my favorite place.
Greetings form Orlando Florida,Me and wife are thinking about moving and Thailand is on our radar. We are in our late 40’s, just watching one of your videos with all the boxes that you checked off. I feel the same way. Thank you for this video
I have been contemplating my first trip to Thailand and this video definitely confirmed that I have to visit Phuket! I'm blown away on the affordability and kindness. Thank you for showing what a real day would be like. All the best!
Your video is on point for sure. I'm a retired UPS driver living in the Eugene area married to a Thai and when we come back from a lengthy trip we seem to be depressed for a while. When she retires one day we will definitely move there permanently. Really can't beat it.
EXCELLENT VIDEO. The UK. Is extremely expensive, and we also have loads of poverty and drug issues. Hopefully I will get there. All the best brother. You did the right thing.
I came in April for 10 days what an experience, im already looking for flights for July and even December. Until I retire I'll spend 2 holidays a year IN THAILAND. THE LAND OF A MILLION SMILES!!!!
Years ago I visited Thailand for around 7 days. It's the People. The Culture. The Thai Food. Did I mention the People and the Culture. I felt WAY more Free over there. Wonderful, Wonderful place.
I love Thailand too. The people are wonderful friendly people who go out of their way to help you ,especially help you with the language. It’s beautiful country ,wonderful water to swim ,dive in . But the humidity kills me. That’s the only reason I didn’t move there completely.
Veramente uno dei migliori video silla thailandia. Molte informazioni preziose senza inutili interruzzioni e raccontate con molta cura e passione. Grazie mille della tua preziosa testimonianza. 😄😄😄
Grazie mille per il suo gentile commento. Sono lieto che abbia trovato il video informativo e utile. Il suo feedback è molto apprezzato e mi motiva a continuare a condividere contenuti.
Great video, very helpful and informative tips! I am in my early 40's and live in the western USA, would love to live in Thailand if even for part of the year each year. Those 21 reasons are absolutely valid!
I agree with everything on your checklist. The quality of life in Thailand is hard to beat. I'm finally retiring next month and will be moving to Thailand in June.
That is exciting. Some foreigners become critical after moving to Thailand; I think the key to making it a great experience is managing expectations and having purpose.
@@DanSmith-cb5vj 800,000 Thai Baht is the official answer. There are numerous visa agents who can assist you in this regard. You’ll discover they can help you offset this requirement nicely. Worked for me and many others.

Thank you. I miss my home state of California, and love San Diego. San Francisco was my favorite city in the world pre-2020, now it is my least favorite. I hope U.S. cities rebound and return to what they once were.
Yes we left the U.S. June 2023 we lived in Nevada, now we live in New Zealand. It’s beautiful, safe, not politically polarized, has affordable medical, peaceful, food quality far healthier meat fruit & veg. Higher quality of life than living in America for the average person in N.Z. much easier to be happier here for us what it really comes down to.
Where u get your info ? Nevada just passed minimum wage law USD$12.00 hr…New Zealand adult minimum wage NZD $23.15 hr.Medical effectively free in NZ compared to US,Auto insurance 20% cost in the US.Meat & Veg cheaper & superior quality in NZ.

@stephenbrown6041 New Zealand, is the back door strategy to get into Australia for many. The Maori greviences are creating tensions from what I have been told.
Great video. Will travel there. Lived in Germany 5 years in service in 80s, traveled to 15+ countries. Semi retired now & could live like a king there even if only a month or two. I love experiencing other cultures.
Greetings from Los Angeles CA. I am Korean/Japanese American and I have 7 more years until retirement. Thinking about traveling in Thailand/Korea/Japan/Vietnam after retirement, where my dollar will go farther and much safer than Los Angeles with all the crime and homelessness. Thank you for the video.
My first visit to Thailand was a few weeks ago, I went to Bangkok, Krabi, and Phuket.. Bangkok was very busy and lively and being from nyc felt fine, used to fast life although more pollution in da air. Had lots of fun tho and easy to travel. Krabi was my fav place happened to be here for songkran and had a great time with lots of locals they are very good ppl and welcoming. Phuket was fun as well a lot of beaches and laid back vibes. All these places had plenty of nightlife and positive vibes all around. Besides nightlife also experience da nature aspect of it, monkeys, elephants, temples, big Buddha, floating markets. It was magical to me, also Food was always good whether I ate out or on da street, 7/11 blew my mind too lol all in all I wud definitely come back I fell in love an at peace. Ty Thailand 🫶🏼
My girlfriend lives in Phuket & I'll be joining her in November. I'm been there several times & its GREAT!! I'm staying for 5 months this time & will be moving there permanently in 2 years. Much better in the winter than Michigan!!
Just subscribed to your channel. I am retiring after a career in teaching and moving to Prachuap Khiri Khan near Hua Hin in June. You mentioned things feel "heavy" in America. I love America, but I am ready to lighten the load, too. There is this feeling of mental exhaustion that is hard to explain. Love your energy and honesty and so happy to be a subscriber now.
Thank you. Exciting to hear you are making the move - I have no regrets. Of course there are moments of missing the familiarity of being 'home', and there are times that are frustrating when living in Thailand - but the positives outweigh the negatives.
@@PhilipJames360 Sage advice. I have known people that had the mindset that everything was going to be perfect in Thailand once they moved there. They are constantly disappointed because of their expectations. You seem to have adapted to the sabai sabai simplicity of Thailand that emphasizes do not over think everything. Thanks for the response.
great points, I just returned from Orange County, CA after living here 3 years, omg the change was unbelievable, I was trying to save money so staying in motels, very dodgy, the police have given up,the homeless (who I feel sorry for because it was frezzin cold)the drugs, living costs etc everything you mentioned, I lasted 6 weeks, quit my storage unit, which was costing 14,000baht per month to hold on too junk I dont need .sold old my old car, quit usa permanently. moved back to Phrae ,a farming province in NE Thailand, living the simple happy life I smiled all the way through your clip ,because I feel exactly the same. always welcome to visit Phrae and do a clip on this beautiful province not visited much by tourists. cheers
Already is mate. I definitely spread word about Phillipines and Thailand to my homies. One they get their money up, they'll be around in Thailand with me in a few years or so.
Brother, let me tell you this is a great video that you made. Everything that you said is true. I’ve been in Thailand for a few months and I’m looking forward to coming back long-term. I won’t be able to live full-time for a couple of years while I get things in order in the United States. my time and Thailand really changed my life my outlook on a lot of things and you were right just being there walking around and going about your day gives you an ease and a comfort of living. It is so much cheaper than the United States this ridiculous so someone with a moderate budget could live a very high-quality long life and Thailand, like I said great video you have a new subscriber❤
Thanks so much for the support! I’m really glad the video resonated with you. It’s amazing how Thailand can shift perspective and offer that ease of living. Best of luck getting everything in order for your long-term move-looking forward to seeing you back in Asia! Appreciate the kind words ❤
I’ve had the honor and privilege of visiting Thailand, back in 2011, it’s heaven on earth. I salute sir for doing what so many of us would love to do! Greetings from shitcago.😎
Hi I’m Charlie an American from Boston. My flight leaves at 10 PM to Vietnam. Love your content and video. Every word of it. I identify with the joy of being overseas, and I also identify with the struggles in America.. totally. My sentiments exactly. Peace.
Bought land in SE Asia to build a house - first few floors will be business etc for income. And 150 CC motorcycles are cheap. Also, what he is saying is true about human connection. The first time I left US, I felt alive and human again. I remember telling this to an American couple and they said they felt the same way after their travels.
I thought summer in Hawaii was hot but didn’t realize how humid it was in Thailand until I visited it last year everthing else was pretty good amazing food massage
Thank you for loving Thailand. There is one crucial problem u should know since ur presence here. Corruption has been around Thailand over 50 years but it has been getting worse for the last some 20 years . Due to bad politicians Thai people have to put up with and hope there would be a big change one day. Hang on nomads , Thailand and Thai people have a lot to offer. We r friendly and generous people . Welcome everyone ❤.
Mr moving to very beautiful Thailand!🇹🇭 The USA and many different indigenous reservatios of once very proud warroor of tribal people of native American Indians are totally different places!✨ We welcome many people around the entire world to visit of very impressive great homelands here!✨ My great inspiring message is out!!✨ Have a very impressive beautiful 😍 day.😍👏❤

I am Thai, had lived in California for years. I had a good life there, but still living in Thailand is much better. I am not paying $5.99 a pack for chicken , I am paying $3 for 2 lbs. of organic boneless chicken breast. I like walking on streets and see healthy looking people, see smile, it improves my life. The cost of living here is less than in the us. I know it is increasing but still better.
is it comfortable to you or us because we are thinking and or getting paid in US money? I read earlier comments of someone saying that "you cant make a business or thrive without having to resort to something the country deems illegal", I'm paraphrasing. From my point of view it is cheaper, as an American. I had the impression that its more difficult to have a decent paying job or to move up. Do many ever leave the country? do they travel?
@TheBorderleesOffice brother, you oh have a gregarious energy radiating from you. You are indeed a happy person. Thank you for your content and knowledge shared. Stay blessed 🇺🇸
I'm with you... living and working in thailand 15 years now and speaks pretty good fluent Thai. Only thing is that phuket is a turist dump and the most EXPENSIVE place in Thailand up to 3-4 times normal thai price and most expats in places like Phuket Hua hin Pattaya etc cant speak thai ..even after years in the country
I'm with you, Phuket is an example of over-tourism. It was heaven during the pandemic... then came the war and things changed. Just started studying Thai as a means to expanding my experience living here. Thanks for your comment
Hello, thank you for saying good things about Thailand. I am a Thai person from the countryside, farming and farming. Sometimes I secretly think that I would like to have a foreign boyfriend who loves a quiet, lonely, simple life. But it's a funny dream of mine haha.
Wow I've always wanted to travel to Thailand. I'm really tired of the U.S. The politics are ridiculous, and now we are on the verge of a dictatorship. I would like to leave here and live a quiet life with beautiful, and peaceful people. And I love a place that uses scooters, motorcycles and bicycles more than cars and huge SUVs. I would like to retire early there
been thinking about where to retire.. and often dreamed about living in another country. Liked and subscribed.. Hoping to learn more about your experiences..
Actually in Thailand there are many secondary cities that are interesting. Near Bangkok there is Hua Hin, a city next to the seaside that is not too busy, If further away there is Chanthaburi, an old city in the eastern region with lovely people, The city has a mix of old and new, the atmosphere is quiet and the cost of living is affordable and cheaper than tourist cities like Phuket, There are many cities you should explore and many beauties waiting to be seen with your own eyes
I definitely like your videos. My Thai wife and I will be moving to Krabi in the next few years. We bought property, and will be building a home before we move.
Hi! Nice video! We live in Montana and it is better than most places in the country. I am so intrigued with Thailand as a second country to live in. Have a great day!
Try it! the most expensive thing is the flights and Visa. Once you arrive, your dollar goes a long way. You instantly give your self more treats as you feel how much more purchasing power you have. People are friendly. Take a vacation. 10 days.
Oh wow, I can dig that lifestyle you got there.... And OMG, the young lady working at the smoothie/desert shop was very beautiful. Thanks for sharing your daily life.
Great informational video. Definitely looking at going down the same pathway, escaping this busy hectic, rushed, stressed out life style. Thankyou from down under. 👍👌
I've been to Thailand and just like you, I feel more serene, calm and patient. I'm retired and moving to Bangkok hopefully this year and now you've convinced me to visit Phuket.
Great to hear you are making the move. Bangkok is atop my list of favorite cities, and if not Phuket I would live there! But I like the being near the ocean. With Asia Air, it is easy to bounce between the two. Looking forward to seeing you in Thailand!
Excellent video and anyone who has lived overseas in Thailand 🇹🇭 understands what you are talking about. Can't wait to get back to make it my permanent home 😊
I am a 46 year old guy with split custody of a 9 year old daughter. The x wife and I agreed to living in Bali long term. I related to everything you said in the video. Watching made me even more appreciative of my life here in Bali. Nice video my friend.
Awesome video man im 57yo after going overseas. Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam etc . I found it hard to come back to USA 🇺🇸 I literally 😢 tear up at the Airport but it gives me purpose and drive to keep Grinding in America because in America you can make $ still it doesn't make me depressed anymore because I know theirs a better way of life overseas 3years I be their permanent .
Thank you. No doubt the U.S. is still the world's best opportunity, especially if one is willing to hustle. Once the $ is set, the way of life in SEA is hard to beat when it comes to joyfulness and peacefulness - it is the latter that seems most valuable as we get older. With this, comes good health. Looking forward to seeing you here in three years!
Couldn't agree more. I am from the States, been working and living in Vietnam for 12 years. After Covid, I felt life is short and decided to leave I my 6 figures corporate job high and dry, then enjoy our true life in DaNang with my beautiful wife.
Nice video and the comments you made about the Thai people and their beautiful country is so true. Here in USA I live with Thai family and love it . Here in USA, it iS getting very bad at all levels. I retire this January 2024 and ime going back to Thailand on a Buddhist retreat and maybe ordain as a monk . If not I will go with the retirement visa plan . Thank you for a great video and sharing your experience and thoughts. Blessings to you friend and may your journey in life be happy and peaceful.
Thank you for sharing your journey! It’s wonderful to hear that you’ve had such a positive experience living with a Thai family in the U.S. The retreat and possibly ordaining as a monk sound like incredible paths to peace and reflection. Whether you choose that or the retirement visa plan, it seems like Thailand has a special place in your heart. Wishing you all the best with your retirement and your next steps. Blessings to you as well, and may your journey be filled with happiness and peace.
I agree, wish you the best of the best 👌 I just came from a beautiful holiday from Thailand and indeed many things are better than most of the western cities , ud and Europe, light-hearted, peaceful indeed. I AM really happy for you. I thought about moving there and I might start to think this ecen more after this video. Thanks
It was wise from you to portray Phuket as Phuket Town and some deserted beaches and ocean views. The whole thing would look very different if you had shown Patong and other places overcrowded with other foreigners. Yes, living in Phuket town can be a nice experience. As for me I prefer other islands in Thailand such as Koh Phangan or Koh Lanta. I'm in Chiang Mai now, in the Nimman neighborhood, it's great but the pollution at this time of the year is just too much. Good thing that my Airbnb here is only until the end of the month. Thank you for the great video, keep on with showing the real Thailand! 👍
Paulo, thank you. Many people identify Phuket as Patong, as you mention. I have one been to Patong three times, and spend 90% of my time between Phuket Town and Rawai and Nai Harn beach. My original plan was to move to Chiang Mai, but the poor AQI nudged me to the the south.
You just gave me confirmation bro. I’m 29 got medically retired out the Air Force back 2019. I’ve visited 12 countries and been living here in Dallas for a minute now. Think I’m just about to take the leap. Thank you.
Love this! I live now in Korat, have been here for 6 months and never going back home, but I think maybe moving to Chiang Mai. I'm 31 and definitely did the right chose.
14:50 there’s no “need” to buy a big home in America either. We do it because we WANT TO. Having land and lots of interior space within a home is a very nice, quiet, and comfortable way to live.
Yes this Man is absolutely correct. I have multiple license to grow Ganja and Ganjong. It is a bit hot. This is the price of Freedom. The peorple here are awesome.
Thanks my friend. I just went to Pattaya earlier this year and it was nice, but did not feel like you feel about Phuket. I need to back to Thailand and check it out. I recently retired so I travel a bunch. Thanks for the heads up.
I am Thai, but I know the cost of private hospitalization in Thailand is not cheap, but still a lot cheaper than in US, Canada, or Europe. I think it would make sense for westerners that want to live in Thailand to have good insurance to cover their health here in Thailand because it can still hit your pocket pretty good if you get into something major. Other than that, I think life in Thailand is very easy going and very affordable, even if the optics of it is not so with all the high-end shops popping up. You just have to be more persistent and open up to dining in local shops and markets to get great prices. Cheers!!!
@@bigmark2424 u do know that 51% of the us doesn't really have money for healthcare and sitting home and eating painkillers is standard for most americans?
Yes! I love the local cuisine. I agree with you about insurance, especially after seeing foreigners who have an accident in Thailand without it, and then have to resort to a gofundme. I should have mentioned in the video, I have Thai and international coverage, but for general checkups and the dentists, paying out of pocket has been easy and not painful in regard to the expense compared to the U.S. Thanks for your comment.
Great Video ! I am 53 and am looking to leave the US at 59. Doing it right and waiting, would have enough $$ to last till 103 without taking social security or touching 401k after sale of all my assets. You made a great point about everything! Thank you for your feedback. It sounds like you have a solid plan in place, and Hua Hin is a great choice-everyone who visits seems to enjoy it. It’s on my list as well. Looking forward to seeing you in Thailand.
Getting clothes laundered and folded in the US is about $35 here. I was just in vacation in California and just the self service laundry machines were $14 to start them each. So that's $30 to do it yourself at a laundromat. Looking forward to visiting Thailand.
Love the content and the delivery. You opened my eyes so I'm going to visit later this year and look for a home. Mental health is the most important! Thx again
Thank you Alan. Thailand has been the best for my health, mentally, emotionally, and physically. I arrived here from a high-stress job that was not enjoyable, and it was taking a toll on my health. Being in Thailand helped me get my health back on track.
After living in Thailand for four years, one thing that stands out to me more than anything: my quality of life is better living here than the U.S.
Yea healthcare worse, food worse, water worse , water and power outages, insane traffic, electricity more expensive, real great quality of life

I live in West Palm Beach and agree its very materialistic, cant wait to go back to Thailand.

I'm also 44 yo retired military and I'm thinking of visiting... Glad to hear someone else the same age as I am....

I've been traveling the world since 2003 and this will always be my favorite place.

is it comfortable to you or us because we are thinking and or getting paid in US money? Actually in Thailand there are many secondary cities that are interesting. Near Bangkok there is Hua Hin, a city next to the seaside that is not too busy, If further away there is Chanthaburi, an old city in the eastern region with lovely people, The city has a mix of old and new, the atmosphere is quiet and the cost of living is affordable and cheaper than tourist cities like Phuket, There are many cities you should explore and many beauties waiting to be seen with your own eyes

Looking forward to seeing you here in three years!
@PhilipJames360 New subscriber here Thanks for your videos james
Great video! Thank you for doing this! See you soon!
Couldn't agree more. I am from the States, been working and living in Vietnam for 12 years. After Covid, I felt life is short and decided to leave I my 6 figures corporate job high and dry, then enjoy our true life in DaNang with my beautiful wife.
Hearing great things about DaNang. Going to come see it before the year is over! Sounds like you have zero regrets 💯
The key to freedom > Having the connections to get a 6-figure corporate job with a golden parachute!
Life in Thailand is better - after you have made your money in the US lol . Try living off a job in Thailand without having savings from US
I love your video to present Thailand. CAN'T WAIT TO GO HOME.
love it, sure llooking to head that direction later this year.
Thank you - looking forward to seeing you here soon!
Thank you.
Thank you. I think you will like Phuket compared to Dallas, if not permanently at least it will be a nice break.
One thing to consider is the Philippines, Manila has a VA Hospital...
@@navymark101 VA?
@@regnorse yes, there is a VA Hospital in Manilla...
Great video thanks for sharing daily routine, costs , and for positivity.
Love this! I live now in Korat, have been here for 6 months and never going back home, but I think maybe moving to Chiang Mai. I'm 31 and definitely did the right chose.
Great video! I'm 50 and have lived in Vietnam for 10 years, but my family and I love the lifestyle in Thailand!
@@kevinleopard3889 Freedom isn't free any place on earth!
Definitely thinking of making that move. I will have to hit you up if I come out there.
this dude even went to the barber for his viewers!! legend! haha... awesome vid brother! really enjoyed it! see you next time in Phuket!
Thank you Marcin - ha the barber! For all my friends with hair!
Thanks my friend. I just went to Pattaya earlier this year and it was nice, but did not feel like you feel about Phuket. I need to back to Thailand and check it out. I recently retired so I travel a bunch. Thanks for the heads up.
if feels good to listen to someone who is happy and joyful makes me feel better thank you
Ita wonderful there. I'm going back. Renovegas u tuber
My mind never rests in California… whenever I arrive in pattaya Thailand I feel sane again.
Cheers!!!
Insurance is a lot cheaper in Thailand than all western world countries.. Life in Thailand is far superior !!
u do know that most countrys in europe has social welfare yes?
healthcare cost almost nothing..like thailands "30 baht "scheme
My healthcare is free in USA , plus I always had a decent job in USA so I had heath insurance from my employer which most working people do in USA.
I want calm and after hundreds of hours of videos I am looking at Hua Hin for home base then travel SE Asia once settled in :) Keep living that GREAT LIFE and trust me you are right, you are not missing anything here in the USA, election season brings out the worst in everyone here right now....
Thank you for your feedback. It sounds like you have a solid plan in place, and Hua Hin is a great choice-everyone who visits seems to enjoy it. It’s on my list as well. Looking forward to seeing you in Thailand.
First time viewer, great video, full of useful information. Thank you for the time and effort you put into the video.
Thank you for your comment. It was fun making this video, more to come!
First time watching your videos, but I love Thailand like you do for the same reasons. Like you I just feel much more relaxed and happy there.
