I moved to Thailand 6 years ago at the age of 49. I married my girlfriend that I met online. She is an old fashioned traditional Thai woman. We now have 2 children and are building a nice life together. I always wanted to have children. Now I have happiness and everything I ever wanted
I love this story. There are plenty of bar girls that have good hearts but are constantly being reshaped by their experience with every customer.

I lived this story years ago. Costa Rica girl. Not a bar girl but dirt poor. Married with a son. She split after 14 years. Left me with our 11 year old son. They are never happy no matter what you do.

One of my neighbors has almost the same happy story - except I saw them worked hard for more than twenty years. The lady used to work in a massage parlor about a city block from my place. The guy is her boss' son. Later they got married, she help his family's metal working shop and is now the manager of the shop. Thanks to the support and encouragement of the guy's parent - who are retired school teachers (unbelievable but true), she finished high school and got a college degree. Now their metal shop is one of the biggest in town, and they has also diversify into food business.

I hear ya, I went to Vietnam and sat down at a restaurant, a couple sat caddy corner to me, he was telling her I pay for everything why are you still doing that? This is 💯 percent correct, and all the naive foreign simps need to wtfu! These gals view us men as resources, nothing else. And Chinese and Philippine women are no different. I lived in Asia for years, there is no such thing as "love".
Farang and Bar Girl/Holiday Girlfriend success stories like this are outliers. Exceptions. Farangs, would you rather be an exception or take your chances where success rates are higher? Go meet Thai women who actually have normal careers and can support themselves. Be respectful. Don't be a damn simp. Treat Bar Girls the same you would treat Vegas Escorts: paid entertainment. These types of women are mainly after your money/assets. Chances of them loving you are rare. Don't be the fool. Think with the correct "head" and don't let your emotions govern you.
Im happy for noi. I recently brought my girlfriend over from phillipines and married her. Her life has also changed so much lately. She also misses home but learned to deal with it. GOD always looks out for you just have faith and do your best

I am happy for them, but would never brig my Thai girl back to the US other than to visit. There a re a couple reasons. One is that I can't wait to leave this place and move to Thailand (in the planning and prep stages). Two is she could be Americanized and which I want nothing to do with. Strong, capable, and feminine Thais are what I prefer.
I've made several small choices that changed my life but one that I will always be grateful for is finally giving in to a friend who had been trying to get me to visit Thailand for over 10 years. I fell in love with it on that first short trip.

@@AntonPryor-lb3sdoh. Definitely keep your guard up. And mistakes are made, even by me from time to time. But I found myself a very sweet one this summer. I live in Shanghai at the moment, but I may have to move to Thailand next year to hold on to this one. No sense in bringing her to China. I had two different Indonesian wives that I took to where I was working and they weren't very happy, in general.
@daemeonation3018 Thank you very much it’s hard because there will always be stigma when it comes to Thai women there will always be horror stories but it doesn’t mean you can’t meet a good one I guess you just have to have your head screwed on as best as you can do your best to understand their culture in the hope that they will understand yours as well
@@AntonPryor-lb3sd Having lived all over Asia (physics teacher) and wife 2 and 4 were dancers, a lot of it is just experience to know which girls to avoid. I can almost LOOK at them and see. But the nice ones are there. I usually don't comment like this because I don't feel like being attacked, but I wanted to come in here and support the guys who have had positive experiences. My girl video calls me every day and I guess now I am expected to play the guitar and sing for her on every video call? 😂

Look, a lot of women in places/ countries like that could end up exactly like Noy, the problem is that some are so broken that they don't want to see a way out. Many women would rather take advantage of foreigner men who genuinely love them and respect them instead of wanting to live a good and productive life with them
It's good to hear a positive story about these girls. It's wrong to assume that they are all evil. I have been around Asia for 20 years and have metmy share of evil women, believe me. But the nice ones are out there. In some situations, it's very useful to make friends with a mamasan that you trust. Buy that mamasan drinks consistently and she will steer you in the right direction. 😉

Many good stories from Pattaya and the likes . I met my now wife in Hui Hin 7 years ago . Happy married ,she now runs a successful business in Perth Australia .
A one in a million fairytale
Not one in a million but may one in a hundred or a thousand. I'd love to see the statistics on this, and I mean the real statistics, but doubt the research will ever be done. I've personally have known about 8 or 10 girls that have similar stories of moving to Pattaya from Isaan, working for a time, having ups and downs but eventually meeting a foreigner who genuinely care for them and takes them back to their home country. I include myself in this as I met my wife 21 years ago in Thailand, we celebrated our 19th anniversary earlier this month. I've a lot of theories on how girls can succeed in their lives, create opportunities and then capitalize on them, but that's for different subject. I enjoyed the story and appreciate the video.

I was a successful businesswoman in SEA and could retire comfortably at 40 . I was a single mom and met an airplane mechanic who was very nice. We got married and I followed him to the west and my son i send to college. In my whole life , I worked very hard and save He on the other hand spend every dime and then after seeing how capable I was, he decide not to work and do bad stuff. I went 5 years of that nonsense and decide to divorce him , gave him a fully paid house and he asked for alimony. I gave him some monies and never looked back. You can get them out from the trash but u can't get the trash out of them unfortunately.

As I listened to this story, I was thinking that near the end you were going to say that the bloke was you and if that was the case, I would believe it more. Don't get me wrong, it could happened, sure. I clicked on this because I thought it would be about you interviewing an actual person, but this was just story telling. I've never been to Thailand and I agree that guys should not be rude and/or disrespectful. But as for them just leaving when they were done .....yep. There are lots of suckers out there who get con into sending someone they met just a few times money when they get back to their home country. However, that same lady is getting money from over seas from multiple guys. So I don't think I would go there and fall in love thinking I'm the only one in her "romantic" life.
And yes, I totally understand that life is hard from them over there. It's not easy. But as a westerner we also hear the horror stories of home ladies look to scam guys out of money so I suspect lots of guys go there for the fantasy and that's it.

Quite a few things I could say here but I’ll focus on one. Moving to a foreign country to live with a guy is a huge gamble. Not only foreign culture, language, ways, prejudice, you are also totally dependent on the guy. Let’s just take a simple problem, he gets bored with you and goes back to Thailand to find a new girl. Maybe marrying in Thailand and settling down there for a few years might help, I don’t know. It doesn’t guarantee safety but at least the relationship will be a bit stronger. And don’t forget this has started as a prostitute/client relationship (which is primarily business). That alone is a huge hurdle to get over. I don’t say it can’t work but the odds are heavily stacked. So be prepared and able to cope with when that does happen.

This story does not correspond to reality. Thousands of girls like Noi make the same decisions and therefore don't have the same opportunities. The reality is different. England is my neighbor country and going back and forth to Thailand alone is more than 1 weekend. In all the years she worked in a bar, it's hard to believe that he was the first person interested in her. What about the friendly man she went out with the first time? He was different from the others, wasn't he? Don't take the story out of context. I know many situations here in my country who are married to a Thai and whose relationship is over after several years because they constantly keep sending money to their family. Result: husband has lost his wife and she is back to her country. I also know Thai people here who come from the bar world and who return to that job because the money comes in faster instead of working in a factory or as a maid, even though she lives in another country and is married.
