If you didn't understand anything in this video its because i had to censor a lot of words and points in order to get the video monetized, if you want to see the full version i have uploaded a link to Mac TV Network where you can join and view for free, link in description 👍😎
Great video nice and brutally honest and its what people want...subscribed.
Link in video description mate
I tried joining. I have telegram, but never get the code.
It's amazing that the locals must obviously know what is going on and they don't join together to stop it.
Couldn't you use other words or phrases 😅
No matter where you are, if you don't have your sh## together, life is difficult.
Can't run from yourself.
I’m the small percentage but I was clinically depressed in the uk and I cried to my mum the 1st week I moved here because of how happy ‘I could feel’ cause I didn’t think I could feel anymore
I understand you.
I completely agree with you. I feel such a rush and so happy when I'm over there. Coming back to the UK is so debilitating and depressing.
Thank you for being real and sharing your experience
I went down the spiral living in Thailand drinking far too much. It is very important to live life like you do in a real 9-5 with proper worries. Enjoy the small things in Thailand
" Why would you be depressed here ? ..you the beaches the girls , the bars ...everything you could want here " That right there is the source of the Nile . Total absence of that most vital ingredient for a person to grow and thrive on.....purpose ! Beaches, bars and girls ain't no purpose. They are an escape from the depression caused by having no purpose. No judgements were made in the making of this post. 😉😇
The moral behind the story is money do not retire out there without the money
This was such a good video man.
I was born and raised in Thailand myself, and now I live and study in the UK. Some of the points you bring up really hit close to home and I agree 100% fully with your views on depression in Thailand as I now work in healthcare myself. I would love to buy you a coffee when I’m next down in Thailand next month. Keep up the good work
Sounds good man 🤔
I lived between Jomtien and Pattaya in a wee community by the beach and it's amazing how different / normal life became just 10km down the road.
ex military for a long time, got psych issues as a result.
the only time i have fun now is when im on holidays in SEA, you dont feel judged there anywhere near as much as you do in the west.
i dont work and haven't for years so having to try and tell friends that i haven't really done anything for the last x months kicks you in the guts every time.
over there nobody cares what you do or dont do for work, you dont get the looks from people that you get in the west.
there doesn't feel like there is a blue print about what you should and shouldn't be doing with your life at that time in it.
going to move over to SEA once the pups pass otherwise if i dont do something then it wont end well.
Bro I was going thru the same thing, just leave and figure it out later. You will adapt
Make the move my Man. You can do it. Leave the West behind you. I stay long term at Mexico and the Philippines.
Bro I am right there with you, psych issues after my military service and havent felt any joy in life for years. I went to SEA and it was like the depression and grey had been lifted. I just need to make the move but I am scared. I am only 45 and fear how everything will be in 10-15 years
Well said and why not be happy, life can still be good.
@@thedarkgreenmarine2100 bro I’m 37. So feel you there. There’s no long term visa guaranteed without spending thousands. That’s my biggest draw back.
I quit drinking at 40 strictly because I didn't enjoy it any more and wanted better sleep. Watching these Pattaya channels I'm amazed that someone hasn't cornered the market on catering to health conscious tourists and retirees. It would require a different business model, maybe one in which lady drinks are fresh squeezed juice and wheat grass instead of booze. I've never been there, but when I retire in a few years I might like to come try it out. But one thing I won't do is start boozing again. There has to be a better way, a healthier way for all parties involved.
Id definitely be down for this. Health bars with maybe an "Organic Booze of the Day" vibe.
I live here and this is one of the best ideas I've heard. Healthy zero % beers and wines, healthy food menu, great idea
Secret tech unlocked 😂 Don't drink in Thailand 💪
I recall there being some health resorts around Hua Hin. Better vibe in that town than Pattaya...
Depression and emotional pain are the worst, it can be crippling
Pattaya can be great fun - but when you blur fantasy with reality that’s when the problems start. I’ve spent a lot of time travelling across Asia and considering spending a lot more time in Thailand next year. No matter where you are you have to a purpose in life - i run distance, ride motorbikes and have dabbled in Muay Thai. That’s how i keep sane.
You're dead right - you have to have a reason to get out of bed in the morning. As James Brown once sang 'You got to have a thing'.
@@stephenelkington4971yup. Keeps me from overthinking and depression
True but its hot as hell there kinda tough to do lotsa outdoor activities except swimming.
I love the islands in thailand good times
All the power to you Mac!
As a Filmmaker, you are a natural! Great storytelling, great shots, very nice flow in the editing, I could go on and on
Im glad keis shouted you out as his favorie up and coming youtuber in thailand thas legit!
@@al69420 me too bro 😎👍
All the Thailand content creator's hustling hard. RESPECT 😎
Pattaya Flying Club is real - sadly quite a number each year doing starfish impersonations off the roof. Pattaya is a magnet for blokes with issues as there are so many distractions which proves useful, for a while at least.
Pilot yeah?
Congrats on 10k Bro! Killing it 💪
Cheers man thank you 😎
Spike Milligan once said " money does not buy happiness but it does buy a better quality misery"
very raw and open and honest. cheers mate for the video. good insight into expectations vs reality!
Another great video my friend. 💕👍🏼
Thanks for sharing your time with us all.
Cheers from 2 Canadians 🇨🇦 living in Mexico. 🇲🇽🥰✌🏼
Thank you for your honesty. I spent time in Thailand one year 1999 and a few times then. Yeah, I fell in love, unfortunately was unrequited. I stayed busy traveling and scuba diving. Broken hearts heal over time. Still, I have many fond memories. Such a beautiful country. That was before Thailand became a tourist / security trap...much like everywhere else post 2001.
Cheers Mac, I feel you man. I lived in Thailand for thirteen years and learned a few hard life lessons. I had a teaching job that paid me enough. I had a home that was provided by the school. One day I woke up and decided to go back where I came from. I do miss Thailand and the sa bai sa bai life style but not enough to return. Thanks for sharing your story.
Thank you for your videos 🙏 I’ve traveled to Pattaya and going to Phuket next for a month of scuba diving 💦
Loving all these videos. You’re really good at them.. keep up the the good work
When i was in Pattaya i just naturally avoided the bars until the evenings. I spent quite alot of time walking on the beaches , or making you tube videos or Instagram that usually only 16 people looked at. Going to the gym is a good option too but i got lazy last visit. I agree though , having a bigger budget is definitely worth while way to fill your time in. Opens up So many more options. Alcohol is not a good option. 😮
love your perspective man, thank you very much for putting yourself out there and showing this lifestyle
Man you are just doing great work. Greetings from Congo-Belgium
Wow amazing video bro truely you will help people with this
youre a gent bro, love the content, its real......thanks from South Africa
I feel depressed enough in the uk, i don’t need to go anywhere else to feel shit🙃
Get Help. 👍
I have met so many immigrants that live there that have become alcoholics because basically they are bored and didn’t think retirement was going to be like that. They immigrate to Thailand, Vietnam or the Philippines because they cannot afford to retire in their home countries but, the “dream” retirement becomes a nightmare. Being on a fixed income becomes a challenge and the only way to make the days shorter are to drink all the time
glad to see your videos are being recommended, and youre getting some traction. keep up the good work, and keep me posted on those plans! ive just come back from patong, and im itching to find a way to stay in thailand in the future
Interview bar girls and document their lives and perspectives. I always find those videos the most interesting. It show what it is really like over there and what the girls think about us foreigners.
I stumbled upon ur channel a few weeks ago. Appreciate your videos.
i drink beer every day and i am happy
Good advice there. Gets you thinking!
Came across your channel because Adam/Keis gave it a shoutout as a good channel a couple of weeks ago. This is now my most watched channel
Ah no way that’s cool man did he say it on a video or livestream or something?
Stay of the alcohol , hit the gym , take a swim ,play some chess or biljart and life is good!!
We do enjoy you telling us the real dope on Pattaya. Nobody talks about real life in that world. It's great to hear it from you on the street, living the life. Thanks from Oregon USA.
Ps great video and extremely needed.
Been homeless in San Diego, and Sacramento. I don't think I would ever fear returning back to America, because of poverty, I've ALWAYS enjoyed the challenge of pulling myself up by my boot straps.
Temporarily remaining SOBER has been essential to my success.
As far as women go, except for our mothers, when we recognize that women are disposable, that's when a man becomes truly FREE.
Start going through women like most men go through socks, and you'll begin to see the light
Wasn't expecting such wholesome energy 😊
With this consistency, editing and authenticity, it's only a matter of time my friend. You can make a million pound 💷
Hahaha we will see bro 1000 would be great let alone 1 million 😂😂👍
Good video Brum ! Regards yam yam 👍
Bless ya little socks mate. Been binge watching your channel for a while, definitely more than a pretty face ha ha ha fingers crossed many watch and learn from yourself and others, keep up the awesomeness, its making the world a betterer place I tells ya.
Just come act your channel today 🎉 your doing a really great job mate, I’m in Cornwall now and trying to create a crypto channel, but your really inspiring and informative keep it up dude 🎉
Hey mate I'm from Cornwall
Congrats on 10k!!
Love your content!
Keep on keeping on brother!
Thank you man cheers 😎👍
I liked this video, cause so many RUclipsrs out there just show "Pattaya the fantasy land" but this one showed the real other side of life in Pattaya.
I love Pattaya, I wouldn't mind working there (remotely) for a few months, however, I do live in the UK and it's great, it's just shitty in the winter. It's all about balance really, and lifestyle choices.
Its the harsh realisation that everything in pattaya is fake.
All your money is gone the only thing left is a miserable life in your own country.
If you have no money in pattaya you have nothing 😢
Great video mate
Emotions are like children you drive around. You don’t want to stuff the kids in the trunk, nor do you want them driving you around.
Good video again. Keep them coming 😊
Thanks Mac, your videos are interesting and information, thank you. Hope to visit Thailand in February.
Exactly ... if you decide to live in Pattaya with the illusion that this way give you advantages with local girls ... will be the big mistake in your life ! At the end you will be sad watching tourists who get fun with a real budget (2000 € every 15 days only for food, drinks and girls, flights and hotel/condo are excluded ! )
good Clip. it's exactly as you said. it's different to come to Thailand for a holiday or to live there.
Going through a divorce. Thinking of visiting taking a trip once I get settled in my current living situation. I appreciate your perspective and truthfulness about Thailand.
Been really enjoying your videos. Prepping for my holiday in February. Cheers!
@@uncledaybkk glad your enjoying the content bro more to come!!
I can't imagine being a kid in a sweetshop and broke . The reason I didn't retire at 45 was I knew I'd be that guy a a Pattaya bar frustrated. I waited 10 years and am so happy I did . It's early days but I haven't had a drink in the 4 weeks I've been here it helps my Thai GF doesn't drink . Things are going good
Great content. I’m new to your channel. The mental health struggles men deal with should absolutely be addressed and not dismissed. Often we put ourselves in situations that affect our mental health negatively not realizing what it’s doing to us until it’s too late.
Im speaking generally but the expat scenarios you mentioned are a great example.
That was a really good. I haven't moved there yet. But I have had years of being stuck at home.
I envisioned that depression would be a big issue. I'm glad you could confirm it.
Everything in moderation. And have an interest other than the obvious.
Very good and very accurate.
There is an AA meeting on soy 9 between 2nd road and treetown. I don't feel as depressed anymore. There are ppl I can talk to at the Fellowship.
Keep up the good work Mac. Hard work pays off mate 💪
One Day I'd love to Visit, I've just found your channel, very grounded and true. One day if I make it there I'd buy you a coffee hopefully they have a espresso machine. Good luck brother 🙏
Link in description 👍😎
My boss travels regularly to Thailand and basically says nothing terrible.
I know no place is perfect so definitely greatful to find your content because I am considering that as another travel destination
You’re so genuine I bet you are an awesome homie to have
Cheers man thank you bro
Do you mean Homosexual ?
A lot of people get more depressed when everything is going too well. People need some challenge in life or they will feel unfulfilled.
Bro you’re putting out great content. Keep it going. 👍👌
I love your videos. Going to thailand for the first time next year just to see what it's like. How easy is it to get a job in pattaya as a UK resident with bar experience
Now its very difficult you have to live here for a long time and know many people
Fire Video 🔥
It's a Topic another Thailand RUclipsr I watch recently talked about as well, sad to see how many people are affected by it.🙏
They really need a big expat group there on line or something, where people can share activities with each other. (Not the party ones 😂)
your advice is priceless..
I lived there for 18 months and went back to work in the US. I will spend the summer there but not interested in living there again on a tight budget.
Been there, done that…
Mon- Fri - study, cook, sport, relax
Sat-Sun - enjoy 🤭
Great video matey. Keep on going but defo have at least a day a week where you have down time away from screens.
great video bro, seriously debating moving to thailand
I agree. Great topic
Awesome work Mac!! You deserve to have 10k viewership, keep it up!!
Hello there
Nice video! You came up on my feed and I really enjoyed the quality and content! Thank you
Thanks!
Thank you mate appreciate this cheers pal 😎😎👍
Well done.
Thank you for addressing such a serious subject.
Hey Mac I from Israel I watch your video
Very good video, 100% spot on. You done the right thing to highlight this.
I've been in Pattaya for a month now. I have more of a social life here than I do back home. The level of English from Thais is bad. Worse than I experienced in Ukraine. On the other hand, I've made friends with bar owners & managers. Thailand wasn't my first choice, but it looks like I will be moving here
You can get depressed anywhere in the world but i get it money issues make it 10 times worse relationship issues make it 100 times worse then you drink which makes it worse ...just share it if you can some people listen most dont but if you see someone struggling just listen have a quick chat it really helps
Don’t retire in any foreign country unless you are already wealthy.
nice topic, i can sense QUALITY all over this channel. +1 sub
Great video all true.. i spent a year there and way too much money. Had tons of women and house with steady girlfriend off soi arunotai.Experienced most of the things you talk about . Luckily i kept my nice house in summerlin las vegas and ive been back for 2 months. It was tough to leave yet i have to say was the best decision ive ever made..
Another great video. The key to living in Pattaya is balance.
Great videos man
Live in Thailand for 10 years and know what you talk about.Every day same.
Not easy to find somthing to do,know a man ho not be outside room this year. Sorry for my englich, i'am from Sweden.
I have just begun planting a few sunflowers and bought a watercoloring set to keep from being bored. My meetings everyday for an hour help greatly.
Great content Mac. Love your videos and your live streams. Best Thailand youtube by far.
Well done, you deserve it after everything you experienced on soi 6. Good luck, I'm sure you make it work 💯%
Hello bro, interesting thing when you said that you have to focus shooting instead of enjoying a moment, I was in Thailand last year with no idea what I'm doing here and same I spend my saving but i know it that this is country I wanna live in so I came back Europe made money and come back but this time is different I found a job even 2 of them so currently live and work in Thailand and enjoying my life never been more happy then I'm now, good luck and all the best for all who never give up and follow their dreams.
Peace
I'm really glad I've found this channel 'cause so far the only channels I've stumbled upon talking about the nightlife in Thailand were made by racist conservative nuts complaining how "Thai women" just "want money" (when they are only meeting bar girls whose JOBS are to get money from them) and how the culture of supporting their parents is bad, and everything is bad, and how Western women were supposedly "spoiled by feminism" and that's why they came to Southeast Asia in looking for "traditional women" (in red districts, ironically) but at the same time complaining all day long about Thai women and Thai culture.
This channel gives the straight talk without being judgmental and let alone racist. Like, "That's the game and those are the rules of the game and you KNOW the rules".
i have a few travel vids uploaded and now i dont bring my camera with me on purpose as it does get annoying after a while cus im trying to get the best vids and end up missing the moment
Good luck with the channel mate loving the videos 👍
Thank you brother more to come
