Spoon made an excellent point that this curator basically stops SBI in their tracks. Whereas before a controversy would spill out it would happen all at once and after the game was released. People would simply move on to the next controversy. Now games with this spotlight can't even get off the ground when they're associated with SBI. This is why SBI is all of a sudden doing everything it can to ban the curator.
@@АндрейНеугодников-м6е They can, they are, and they are not even the biggest. I was working a small project, a prototype, with 2 other people. Think "Nexus The Jupiter Incident" but with some light trade, walking on the bridge, Newtonian physics, proper gravity engine and EM spectrum stuff, really fun, due to lot of issues and server load it was decided to aim for Rpi 4 and Celeron 4900 to host your own a la Minecraft. You would think that only having a really active presence on IRC and no website yet, no nothing, less than 100 people playing would keep them away. We had whitey left and right. We were busy with basics, server, etc not all that bs. So we get messages out of the blue about our racism, not inclusive, really heavy handed tone. I told em to go f themselves in many colourful words. 2 others lost their nerve and I am bad with orbital mechanics (yeah the planets move unlike Eve) and basic weather mechanics are hard. They will actively seek you out, imply threats, and if that does not work try and shut you down or sick the mob on you. I am sad that it worked. They are like Nintendo.
@@АндрейНеугодников-м6е because people will boycott the games, companies will lose a lot of money, they will cut them off and the growth will slowly perish as it can no longer syphon resources from successful host and spreads its sickness.
Yeah the people defending SBI are quickly realizing that the battle of optics has been lost, and now they're playing the "LOL it doesn't even matter, why do you care loser?" game in attempt to bury everything. But as you say, as long as the SBI Detected curator exists that won't work, because it will just keep getting renewed until SBI stop publicizing their affiliation with games altogether. imo the curator made a mistake by creating the Steam group though. In his own words, if the group dies the curator also dies. He should have known that it would turn into a cesspool. In fact, it's highly likely that that pro-SBI troll posters will be attempting to false flag the group by posting stuff that breaks Steam TOS. These people have no morals, "no bad tactics, only bad targets" is literally their motto. r/gamingcirclejerk have a post where they're sharing screenshots of the deleted posts, so it's safe to say that some of those people are active within the group. Probably screenshotting their own posts. Anyway, hopefully Steam see sense and leave it up.
@@АндрейНеугодников-м6е More actual customers are now informed about their involvement. SBI had allied mobs and mb bots on Twitter and also the press. Now Twitter isn't under the control of their allies and it has these community notes. The press is disgraced or bankrupt.
@@АндрейНеугодников-м6е In simple terms; people get angry when you attack things they care about. So if you're criticising something bad and people suddenly get very angry about it, that tells you that you're probably criticising the right thing. You're hitting them where it hurts. "Over the target" is a aerial bombardment metaphor. It usually goes like "You know you're over the target when you start taking flak." Flak is a type of anti aircraft gun, typically positioned to defend high value targets from bombers. So if you're taking flak, that means you're flying over a high value target.
Deleting user reviews from woke games like the suicide squad is the first strike, deleting this curator group will be double strike for me so i'll stop doing business with steam and get my games the way God intended.

I think they know the cats out of the bag now, their supporters and defenders as well as themselves are showing their true colors and if gamers directly boycott this manipulative evil company companies wont use them for their "consultation" anymore, this is an act of desperation by Sweet Baby Inc. and its defenders.
It's Sweet Baby realizing if they, a third party company, can turn away people from products their first party studio clients; it's very easy to just not hire them. They're probably already seeing people stop taking their calls.
@@samuelleandro2275 Yeah and based on the creator's post it sounds like he has just received an automated warning that his group is being mass reported and that action may be taken. It isn't actually banned yet. So hopefully Steam do a manual review and realize that no rules are being broken. I guess we'll find out soon, because I don't imagine the mass reporting will stop.
For my part, I will go back to all the huge backlog of games dating back to the early 80's. If Steam is lost, then realistically nowhere else will be any better. If Sweet Baby come out on top in this when they are so clearly in the wrong then the whole games industry is lost.
Steam should make an exception for these mass flaggings, knowing that most are filed with ill will. Steam should know that this is in attempt in manipulation of their flagging system.
May Lord Gaben bless us with this curator staying up. Considering Steam has taken a stand against review bombing games. The should take the same stance against mass flagging. There is no way they are not aware of this issue and they need to support the creator.
Gaben is a woketard himself. He'd already have said something if he thought the curator did nothing wrong. He's weighing his options right now: lose ESG money or back the gamers.
Keep the pressure on! Make it so that the stink of these ESG and DEI consultants is radioactive. Make it so that companies avoid such consultants like the plague, for fear of the reputational and financial fallout they would suffer. SBI and their ilk want to make companies afraid to NOT work with them? We, the consumers, must make sure that they ARE afraid to work with them!
Why are they harrassing a group made by a Brazilian guy? I thought they were all for inclusivity and make everyone opinions valid? But it's only those whose opinions align to SBI's
The Brazilian man isn't falling into line with their ideologies, he's not letting them tell him exactly how to think and act. How dare he not just roll over and let them rule him!!
Thanks cancel pigs...your latest move pushed me to "join" the group just so I can watch to see if you cancel them. Be careful steam you don't want the "cancel pig" label
Its funny how they are trying to get gamergate 2.0, just as the money is running out of the gaming sphere with the recent mass layoffs. Gamergate is where most of these people made their money, makes you think....
I'll say it here now. If Steam knuckles under, this could be the beginning of the end - their very own Bud Light moment. If they shut down this group I encourage everyone to cut their ties with Steam and never use them again. Play your game on other platforms. Just cut your losses and put your money where your mouth is, and show that your principles are more important that easy video game access.
What platform exactly? Woketard GoG or woketard Epic games? I say just boycott new video games altogether. Only stick with the oldies or start sailing the seas.
@@themonsterunderyourbed9408Indeed sailing the high seas is always an option. With the amount of money that some people could save just from not buying multiple modern AAA games per year, or even per month in some cases, those people could get a second really powerful gaming computer in order to avoid any sort of malware infecting their main pc from the prated games. The only problem I guess would be online mode and the social aspect of steam, but aside from that nothing of much value is lost. At the end of the day no matter how good steam is, the games in our accounts are not even ours, after lla they could just ban us for any reason and all the money put in there goes directly to trash if that happens.
It likely won't be the same because people's financial investments in each are different. It would be like if people bought thousands of dollars worth of Bud Light and then were expected to spend thousands of dollars again on some other beer instead. Most people aren't going to do that. Meanwhile, switching from just buying a single case of Bud Light to the beer sitting right next to it in the store -- or simply not buying anything at all -- is effortless. That makes it far, far more likely for people to boycott something.
The name of the man that coined the term "Cancel Pigs" is Mark Millar, and he is a comic book writer. _"in December 2023, after online mob attacks, Mark Millar coined the term “cancel pigs” when he tweeted: “Twitter packs like the people who mobbed retailer Glenn O'Leary last week, mocking him and trying to destroy his reputation. We've seen it happen with comic pros like Howard Chaykin & many others."_
A new curator should start a Sweet Baby Inc "Fan" page that lists all the "awesome" game SBI is working on so the "fans" can put those games on their "wish" list. It accomplishes the exact same thing but can't get reported as harassment.
The fact that steam is even doing this is going to make them the next one to lose money. Sour Baby is going to be hit even harder if this succeeds and I will hope the guy that made the page will not lose hope.
Well, now I'm going to join the group for sure. And every other group like it. And I told everyone Steam was garbage years ago, mainly for their incredibly bad security. But now it's worse.
Easy way to solve the issue is to have companies include post launch performance clause with "consultants", and keep track of changes they pushed for. If game does well as in gets good metacritic score or sells numbers meet the estimated minimum, then they will get bonus. If reviews tank and doesn't sell well due to things they worked on explicitly, then get nothing more and you have grounds to hit them with legal action or penalty.
I would have had the forum locked to begin with. This is predictable sockpuppeting. Here's how I think you play the game with these people: You give them absolutely no reason that they can get upset with you. They will either sockpuppet to make your community look bad or they will bait you into getting yourself banned. Don't have a forum/discord for the former. Be annoyingly polite for the latter.
Idk if it will go through. Steam and Valve is lassaire-fair, thats why they have so much slop in their store. Its both good and bad. The only issue is that Valve hired the Firewatch devs, who are massive sjws. Valve has allowed pr0n games and Hatred (an AO game). Hatred was banned then overturned.
The title of this video makes it seems like any games that they worked on are getting mass flagged, but I figured that wouldn't be the case, and that it was about the Kabrutus list instead. Sad, really. I imagine that if Steam takes the side of the flaggers, things are going to spiral out of control pretty quickly.
0:04 Mark Millar when people started going after that comic book store owner for saying noone wants to see your self inserted character on the comic page.
Calling Brazilians 120 million, or Latin Americans 210 million in South America alone "minorities" made me lol 😅. Also we're predominantly white here, specially in the South cone (Arg, Bra, Uruguay). That't what happens when most immigrants are early 20th Century Europeans.
Even if the group is banned, somebody else can create another one, and another one, and another one. Each time one is banned, people will talk about it, making the new ones more popular. At some point, they will have to concede and let it be. They CANOT stop an idea. Especially if that idea is more popular than theirs.
Won't get as much traction. They let the popular streamers run their course with the news, now that they moved on valve is free to help the DEI consultancy firms.
Here's the thing: Steam is actually a sort of "games as a service" provider - you don't own the games, per se, you purchase a license to download and use them from Steam. The concept of not owning a copy of a game that you pay for is off-putting for a lot of gamers, including myself. But I still use Steam. Why? Because I *trust* that they won't pull any bullshit. The success of their business model is built on this sort of trust. If they do anything to violate that, it puts them in immediate jeopardy. This is something they need to seriously consider anytime they intervene.
This makes me want to make a competing media consultant company called SWAT Baby that tells video game companies how to make their content more based and fun while calling out anything they're doing that's blatantly stupid so they don't do it anymore.
@@sergeantsapient They miss a lot of bigger releases and get stuff late, but I don't even care at this point. Most of what releases now is either trash anyway and/or buggy for the first 6-12 months. So by the time something actually does release on GOG, you're usually getting a much better version of it AND you actually own it. It's often just a win/win imo.
Now Start now like many intellectual PC gamers have done Steam is currently shadow banning this next action is full ban as I've been victim to these type of injustic before too
More can be made. The games are already known. They can be added to any "Do Not Buy" type of list and spread. This is the most attention the Curator program has gotten since it was created and then never updated or moderated in any form.
There is only one reason a "Sweet Baby Inc Detected" should be taken down, and that is the fact it does not include all the other groups that are doing the same alongside with SBI Black Girl Gamers Hit Detection Balance Patch Silverstring Media Stone Maiar Games GaymerX James Mendes Hodes Dragon Baby Anita Sarkeesian Consulting Weird Ghost Infinite Ammo Inc Gamma Space Cozy Comet Games
The Cancel Pig term came from Mark Milar during when that comic shop owner came out and said we dont want the woke shit anymore, we want the characters to be the character not current day bs.
Because we would rather be spending our time and money creating and enjoying, than destroying and hating. For all the talk from activists who say hate speech needs to be stopped, it seems to be their primary language.
"we must be better than then and not stoop to their level" mentality. Been saying for years that it won't work. Sometimes you gotta get your hands dirty to get shit done
Logically thinking, Curator isn’t harassing anyone, just stating a fact. If it was considered a harassment, then those curators that lists games with Denuvo would get deleted. But logical thinking is gone and only emotional distress dictates decisions.
Now, it is time to see just how woke Steam is. Are they going to give gamers a reason to migrate to Epic Games launcher? Or are they going to put their foot down and say "No, gamers first."
Don't confuse group members with curator followers. The number of people in the group has always been much lower than the curator followers. Not everyone following the curator joined the group. No one has been wiped and yes, the discussions have been wiped.
I sent a counter-report to Steam support defending the curator, and trying to advice against heeding the malicious mass flagging campaign. It's not much, but I am doing my part.

Stops how? They still can extort people as they always did?
I cannot do Rust or C well. So I have some unusable code now so all is dead. And it looked so good.
@@АндрейНеугодников-м6е
More actual customers are now informed about their involvement. SBI had allied mobs and mb bots on Twitter and also the press. Now Twitter isn't under the control of their allies and it has these community notes. The press is disgraced or bankrupt.
When you're this much over the target expect the most fervent devotees to get riled up up when their religion is under attack
Over the target?
@@АндрейНеугодников-м6е In simple terms; people get angry when you attack things they care about. So if you're criticising something bad and people suddenly get very angry about it, that tells you that you're probably criticising the right thing. You're hitting them where it hurts.
"Over the target" is a aerial bombardment metaphor. It usually goes like "You know you're over the target when you start taking flak." Flak is a type of anti aircraft gun, typically positioned to defend high value targets from bombers. So if you're taking flak, that means you're flying over a high value target.
Steam better not delete the curator group

@@samuelleandro2275 Yeah and based on the creator's post it sounds like he has just received an automated warning that his group is being mass reported and that action may be taken. For my part, I will go back to all the huge backlog of games dating back to the early 80's. If Steam is lost, then realistically nowhere else will be any better. If Sweet Baby come out on top in this when they are so clearly in the wrong then the whole games industry is lost.

It will be one of the hardest things I've ever done, but I will. That will be the circus gone, however, and the bread is quite low.
You can still play your games on steam. Just don't buy anything new ever again.

Steam taking down this curator will be a real bad look, if they end up doing it.
A new curator should start a Sweet Baby Inc "Fan" page that lists all the "awesome" game SBI is working on so the "fans" can put those games on their "wish" list. It accomplishes the exact same thing but can't get reported as harassment.
The fire has been lit and it's not going out
The fact that steam is even doing this is going to make them the next one to lose money.

Not surprising in the slightest. Fight on brothers and sisters!
Easy way to solve the issue is to have companies include post launch performance clause with "consultants", and keep track of changes they pushed for. If game does well as in gets good metacritic score or sells numbers meet the estimated minimum, then they will get bonus. If reviews tank and doesn't sell well due to things they worked on explicitly, then get nothing more and you have grounds to hit them with legal action or penalty.
best idea i’ve heard

This is a historic moment for the real gamers

Last I checked 120k members have been wiped from the group and the group is locked for the foreseeable future due to the Cancel Pigs.
What?
Don't confuse group members with curator followers. The number of people in the group has always been much lower than the curator followers.
Not everyone following the curator joined the group.
No one has been wiped and yes, the discussions have been wiped.
So you make a nice little game or a Steam group. Then all of a sudden you hear: "SBI, OPEN UP!"
