I think it's too early to say we've won definitively, but I take this as a good sign. The thing is that we're fighting a hydra with many heads. We may not have seen the extent of the hydra's counter-attack yet as it brings more heads to bear. On the other hand, if we do take an easy win here then we must burn the stump so that two more heads do not grow back.
If there's anything to be learned from 2014 it's don't be overly confident and just assume it's over. This time we have to be absolutely thorough and I mean meticulous. If these people and those like them are allowed to infiltrate or stay within the industry nothing is going to change. I still feel like if anything this is just exposing how deep the rot goes and how corrupt in complicit most of the gaming industry is. Yup, I went on wiki and everything happened. In "talk" section there was a debate about it and apparently they(the wiki) can't add the video of the SBI CEO saying how they force themselves in those Games because "it can be taken out of context". But they didn't mention anything about that SBI employee inciting harassment towards the steam group and steam curator because "She only asked the group to be reported because it was again the Steam cod of conduct". When they got called out they put in from the "You Have a Reliable Source Bro" excuse but of course the tweets made by SBI employee and CEO aren't reliable source but Kotaku is.

Game journos were always just glorified bloggers, the thing is that now people are seeing that a bit more clearly. It is as you say, gamers now will look to their favourite streamers/youtubers for game recommendations instead of abominations like Kotaku.
The issue with that is that our favorite streamers/youtubers are being influenced by these companies as well. People like Mauler were warned about Sweet Baby's involvement with God of War: Ragnarök and Dead Space, yet he still praises those games as the peak of their genre. What I'm afraid of is that Sweet Baby is going to take to majority of the shit, and the company will become the new face of wokeness that needs to be defeated. Gamers will start diverting their attention to Sweet Baby, and continue to buy woke products that don't have the Sweet Baby branding on it. With enough attention Sweet Baby will fall, but they are just one head of the Hydra. The real solution at the end of the day is to stop participating in mainstream gamer culture, and let more projects the SS:KTJL wither on the vine. Support indie games, or even just create your own and build up those communities. Just because this story has become a hot-button topic doesn't mean that we're winning.

Also it's pretty obvious within the first week-month whether or not the game is a complete woke piece of garbage. You can just tell depending on who's doing the reviews and what they're saying.

He has had zero involvement in games development since he got fired from the now long forgotten Firefall studio a year before that game released, a game I might add which shut down in 2017 because those left behind looking after it after Grummz was gone, had completely mismanaged. Not only is he disliked by everyone, anyone who is his friend from their time at Blizzard also has had difficulty landing any significant jobs in the past 10 years as well purely because they were friends with Grummz. I think it's too early to say we've won definitively, but I take this as a good sign. The thing is that we're fighting a hydra with many heads. We may not have seen the extent of the hydra's counter-attack yet as it brings more heads to bear. On the other hand, if we do take an easy win here then we must burn the stump so that two more heads do not grow back.

If there's anything to be learned from 2014 it's don't be overly confident and just assume it's over. This time we have to be absolutely thorough and I mean meticulous. Yup, I went on wiki and everything happened. In "talk" section there was a debate about it and apparently they(the wiki) can't add the video of the SBI CEO saying how they force themselves in those Games because "it can be taken out of context". But they didn't mention anything about that SBI employee inciting harassment towards the steam group and steam curator because "She only asked the group to be reported because it was again the Steam cod of conduct". When they got called out they put in from the "You Have a Reliable Source Bro" excuse but of course the tweets made by SBI employee and CEO aren't reliable source but Kotaku is.

Game journos were always just glorified bloggers, the thing is that now people are seeing that a bit more clearly. It is as you say, gamers now will look to their favourite streamers/youtubers for game recommendations instead of abominations like Kotaku.
The issue with that is that our favorite streamers/youtubers are being influenced by these companies as well. People like Mauler were warned about Sweet Baby's involvement with God of War: Ragnarök and Dead Space, yet he still praises those games as the peak of their genre. What I'm afraid of is that Sweet Baby is going to take to majority of the shit, and the company will become the new face of wokeness that needs to be defeated. Gamers will start diverting their attention to Sweet Baby, and continue to buy woke products that don't have the Sweet Baby branding on it. With enough attention Sweet Baby will fall, but they are just one head of the Hydra.
The real solution at the end of the day is to stop participating in mainstream gamer culture, and let more projects the SS:KTJL wither on the vine. Support indie games, or even just create your own and build up those communities. Just because this story has become a hot-button topic doesn't mean that we're winning.

Honestly, I'd say even the first 6 months is enough. Usually the prices have dropped tremendously half if not not a third of the price or less.
Also it's pretty obvious within the first week-month whether or not the game is a complete woke piece of garbage.

Now let me just say I would never pay $70 for those games but I think as a whole they're fine. Yes you see the influences, it's obvious anyone with even the smallest amount of reasoning skills and pattern recognition would see it.
And in the case of Ragnarok anyone with literal eyes. But it doesn't wreck the game it doesn't destroy it. It definitely "dents" it but it doesn't completely ruin the game.

He has had zero involvement in games development since he got fired from the now long forgotten Firefall studio a year before that game released, a game I might add which shut down in 2017 because those left behind looking after it after Grummz was gone, had completely mismanaged. Not only is he disliked by everyone, anyone who is his friend from their time at Blizzard also has had difficulty landing any significant jobs in the past 10 years as well purely because they were friends with Grummz.

Those people have the institutions behind them, the same institutions that suppress free speech online.The only way anything changes in the industry is if the American government changes drastically and the culture shifts. Which takes decades, if the current-day America is anything to go by. And let's be real, that's not happening. So either play non-American games exclusively, or only play indie games made by actually small creators (stuff like Hades doesn't count). That's the best the modern gamer can do. Then again, they don't really care about making profit, they're fed by ESG money, so you really can't do shit.

Yes, it was the censorship that began the whole thing, but if you recall, it was the same article being written by different websites saying gamers don’t have to be the target demo was what started it. I remember gamers being called sexist because they called out the collusion between Zoe Quinn and gaming journos.
