I have been leathercrafting for a little over a year and have been watching your videos throughout my learning process (I even purchased a T-shirt). I have learned a lot of techniques and have gotten many ideas for projects. This video has given me the idea for a dog leash. I will be using this design for the leash and other straps. Thank you Jo.

Looks great. Maybe my pups will have fancy collars some day. But not until my little one stops chewing his sisters collar off. Rascal.

This was really nice Jo. I've watched a few other lacing videos but this is the first one I've been able to grasp the concepts behind. Of course getting to the skill levels to produce something as good as that is going to take me a bit longer 🤣

It's a really nice project to do, you could also make wristbands with the same lacing design but using smaller lacing and holes 👍

If I tried to eyeball the egg-point like that it'd end up looking like scrambled eggs. Yours looks like it was machined! Great tutorial, as always!

@@JHLeather what are your thoughts on the Ecostick water based contact adhesive?

I really like it, takes a bit of getting used to from the Bostik but it's much healthier to use in the workshop. I will be purchasing a heatgun to help speed up the drying time though as that's a bit of a pain to wait for.

@@JHLeather yes I agree heat helps a lot - I use the 5019N and find the extra strength variety is not only far stronger but it appears to go tacky quicker but that might just be me and wishful thinking but worth a punt next time you order from AAC ……..Alan.

You make it look so easy! I guess that's the advantage of having learned the trade...
The collar looks beautiful, but what does it do to the dog's hair? I feel like it should be padded on the inside...
