I can already guess that MKG is gonna be one of the top malls just because it's absolutely huge and has an LRT station right outside of it although I didn't think it'll be #1.
That is maybe because the visitors of MKG actually buy something.
My boss has an pharma chainstore and his best selling store is always MKG. And the gap is a lot from store no 2.

I like the how the map looks here better than the first video. Not to mention the texts are really clear. Good job
I remember that back in the day Central Park developers proposed a plan for a skybridge connecting Taman Anggrek and Central Park for easy access, but they refused.
Rumor says that Taman Anggrek is currently in the negotiation of reviving the plan, lmao

What an amazing video! I myself have been living in Jakarta for more than 20 years but I don't recognise most of the mall that you mentioned here. Anyway, I'm really curious about this for sometime and I would love to see you making a video about companies that run these malls in greater Jakarta.
Thank you! Though I think that is beyond the scope of this channel since thats more into business.
What I can and plan on doing is rate the suburbs that these companies have built.
personally, i'd rank trans studio mall cibubur lower for the fact that the roller coaster reverberate throughout the mall especially on the top floor. if you 're sensitive enough you can feel the vibrations when you're in the cinema but personally, i cant feel it. also the public transport to AEON sentul city is kinda ass irl but i think the fact that the road leading to the mall gets heavily congested during peak hours and not a lot of other road you can take (especially if you're going to jakarta). also iirc, you can take angkot from pondok cina to margocity mall, but not sure tho, havent been there in a while.
thanks for compiling all this, you're a mad man i havent even been to half the malls mentioned o7
Izin ralat sedikit, "AEON" mall pelafalannya "Ion Mall":
Aeon mall berasal dari Jepang. Dan di Jepang sendiri, nama Aeon diucapkan イオン。
Keep up with the vid, cant wait for another bus line/train line review!
CRAZY!!! I actually watched the ENTIRE video lol great effort!
Very thoughtful and thorough researched video!
I knew SMKG is the God Tier of mall in Greater Jakarta.. I spend whole my childhood there..
Heck, Summarecon is the OG mall developers.. I love all their malls, especially SMS (PS. Wear your best walking shoe if you get there)
Also, both SMKG and SMB are the go to malls if my family get bored at home..
Lippo Mall Puri and BXC is my next on checklist..
i dont even live in jakarta, nor jawa, yet i find this information is very useful to me. Bali has like 6 malls just choose one they're all good
dude i live in Jakarta but this year i'm going to Bali for university lol (you prolly already know what university it is)
@@yordanelleazar168 goodluck at udayana bro
I swear, as someone who will visit jakarta from bali later at early august. Your videos are really really useful :)))
Pacific Place and Supermall Karawaci is nostalgic place for me as I was visiting Kidzania and trying the rollercoaster in Supermall Karawaci. I also remember that the area near Supermall Karawaci are used to be a racing arena that are now turned into road (also the racing paddock are now used as college building IIRC). Great that you also mention Bintaro Exchange. I used to go there frequently few years ago and I haven't visit the new tunnel from Jurangmangu station. Back then people need to cross the highway via the "tunnel" which is a passage way under the highway bridge. Also, some additional note that Supermall Karawaci are also gonna be served by MRT East-West line though it's not gonna near as the first phase of the route are on the inside of Jakarta only.
Anyway, that was a great video! Well done!
Thank you for the tier. Some malls are missed like Malls in Bekasi/Cibubur (Grand Galaxy Park, Bluplaza, BTC Mall, Green Walk Mall, Metropolitan Mall Cibubur), Malls around Jl. Rasuna Said (Mall Setiabudi, Epiwalk, Plaza Festival). But I think you didn't visit it yet or not enough into the criteria.
Your welcome! I think for most of them it's because I haven't been there. Kuningan is kind of underexplored for me.
pluit village also gives you A LOT of free seats like A LOT, it also dominated with students after school
surprised the puri duo actually broke top 10, as someone who used to live nearby they are nice but never quite matched the uniqueness of the rest of the top tiers. The puri indah mall expansion plan does look interesting and if done right can definitely boost it up a bit. Lippo mall puri however I think suffers from sloppy construction, with noticeably uneven ceilings and absolutely dire parking lots with pillars right in the middle of the path of cars. The outdoor area of lippo is also quite underdeveloped, and they really should've connected the mall to living world with a bridge / tunnel, especially considering that building used to be the marketing gallery for the lippo mall complex.
Will definitely have to revisit MKG though, didn't know that it looks that good now!
I normally use Public Transport when going to Jakarta, but yeah I heard bad things about LMPs parking. So much so my parents suggested that we Drive to Puri Indah, then walk to LMP.
MKG is really crowded now, like Kokas/PIM level crowded due to La Piazza and GAFOY.
I still renember when ACE in Living World Alam Sutera had 2 floors, however one floor is now a doorway to more stores to open, aka Living Park
Yeah it got renovated
halo shindo new subs here, kalo boleh request bikin video basic guide soal public transport di Jakarta, yang bener-bener basic, ibarat orang gapernah naik transportasi umum sama sekali, mungkin bisa bakalan banyak ngebantu orang yang gapernah naik transportasi umum (myself), anyway keep up the good work and also thankuu for the video 👍
Oke, nanti saya buat
i thought this video idea was too much of a hassle, but when you made a video ranking this much malls i think this one would be possible
maybe a ranking of most of the notable the commuter line stations? based on stuff like the stores in it, how its designed, and maybe the connectivity with other forms of publlic transport (in this specific scenario stations like cawang will get a lot of points)
Hahaha same here, using google maps too everytime visiting plaza indonesia

Thanks for the list of your revommendation.
Well, for me i think Grand Indonesia is still the best mall for me for 3 reasons: very large indoor space, very close to BRT and MRT station, and even better, probably the closest mall to visit from PIK Golf Island (had to use 1A, took me just 1.5 hours)
MKG is nice but took me as bad as 4 to 5 hours. 30 mins to 1 hour extra because of Manggarai LRT line construction causing the road to LRT from the train station to reduced to just 1 lane. So while i love this mall and i visit it quite often, not as often as GI due to that reason (imagine from 10 AM from PIK to MKG, you arrives at 3PM only to be there for 2 hours then go back to PIK at 10PM). Cant wait for the Manggarai LRT line to finish, it will definitely cut the travel time significantly XP
Central Park is also great but due to Penjaringan BRT station is only goes to PIK, we have to drop off from the bus at Aston Pluit, then wall about 1km to Penjaringan BRT station then finally get into always overcrowded bendy bus to CP. While yes its short time, the walking distance is quite hellish on that one especially if its raining (yep, i got wet twice already because of this, that by the third time i ended up going to GI instead)
Try using corridor 2/2A to get to MKG, that's how I do it now
@@shindoride ye, i think i can use that too since both are stopped at Balai Kota and the Pulomas LRT
Completely forgor about both of those two since both are always overcrowded for some reasons…
@@Keikoatr72 GI and PI is not comfortable for pedestrians tho, they need to direct access to MRT stations and prioritize pedestrians over cars in their lobby
@@DevaraGian1998 i didnt have issue with that when entering GI because im using their side door (there is a door for pedestrian when you walk to the mall, its only connected to Floor 2 and 3A. No need to walk to their overcrowded lobby there)
As of crossing the 6 lane road, the red light for the pedestrian is pretty long but bearable considering the notorious traffic jam in Bundaran HI area
Yeah that side door makes things way easier
mkg winning ohhh we love that for our queen!
While this is a pretty good explanation, I would appreciate it if you show some photos of every mall as opposed to just a few
People these days prefer buy food than buy others so mall that have a lot of food usually more crowded. Aeon use this approach and Aeon often give chairs so people can relax. Old mall have lack of chairs to sit.
Honestly the graphics is an improvement over the first one as it's less Google Map like, but i think you need to show the mall's looks especially the exterior a bit more since sometimes. I don't know what mall you're talking about and exterior always makes the first impression
Yeah I need to take more videos when I go out
@@shindoride or at least take a screenshot online. Whichever works best for you.
Jangan lupa cobain vlog Transjakarta Lowdeck Koridor T11 dan T12
yes this needs to reach to the mall developers to try to improve their pedestrian access! e.g. kemvil haha
Huh...so if you considered the connected malls seperate.. there are only 74 malls...NGL...that is much less than I thought...for comparison, the Greater KL area had 178(!!)....
Technically there's more due to many "malls" are smaller older shop buildings style for example ITC Roxy or Mangga Dua Square. Shindo only used the ones that are Proper Malls.
Ah...ok (and I also see from the comments from the other video that he miss 1 proper one at Tangerang)...
but still, considering the population of Jabodetabek(35 million vs Klang Valley 9 million)...I was expecting at least 120 proper ones....and 5 S tier mall
Let's hope this tier list would go viral enough that there would be a news story on this by a prominent business radio station...(like the Klang Valley tier list)
Can u do Poris Plawad - Petamburan Transjakarta?
I already reviewed it in some of my previous videos
Will CP gain S tier once East West MRT and extended Jabodebek LRT reach there?
Yes
RAHHH!!!!! TANGCITY MALL MENTIONED🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 BECAUSE THAT'S MY MAIN MALL
All my goats are in top 10 hell yeah
Bintaro exchange numba 1
i ride my motorcycle a lot, and GI is the only mall with prefered parking space for bikes (as far as i know) das why its no1 for me
Central Park has it, Neo Soho has it too, along with SMKG and MAG. Emporium Pluit Mall has one but you need to know where to turn to get there. Same with Ciputra Mall Jakarta. Ask security guards! I like riding my motorcycle to the malls too.
@@adewilliam9047 fr? Nice info bangg
Oh yeah bro fyi Kokas and Gancit is owned by the same development group
Penasaran, klo Seasons City termasuk kategori mall, dia ranking brp?
@@shindoride Hmm mnarik. Klo Personal review AC dingin sih, tpi klo kebersihan…ya bs ditingkatkan lah. Mmg jatuhny ke Trading center sih jd ba dibilang rada butut.
MKG sih mall paling best

Ashta Mall not mentioned
Never heard of that place before, might go there to check it out.
Kalau fX kira-kira bakal masuk ke mana ya?
Also wondering about FX, but if I have to say myself, good public transport link (MRT, Transjakarta), but it's just small + mostly empty on the top floors (IMO not really worth it unless if you're wota and there's a JKT48 event there)
Gw belum pernah ke sana, kemungkinan C+
C+ to B- range for sure. A lot of empty stores bring it down but it manages to shoehorn a lot of essential stores like supermarket, cafes, clothing stores (modest), fitness centre, cinema, university and JKT48 theatre in a rather small building.

I’m baffled that both PI and PS is in B- Tier.
We have different criteria I guess, but anything C+ and up is good since Im particularly strict in this video, otherwise all the malls are gonna flood A and B tier.
compare to GI PI is pretty much tier 2 of GI in terms of everything
and the fact PI is full of high brand makes me poor people doesnt want to there lol (GI i can tolerate it somehow)
PI has the added advantage of really clean and probably less busy toilets and really cold AC.
@@shindoride well because most people will go to GI that's why less people and less toilet waiting
AC is same as GI way too cold for me probably because i wore short pants when going there lol
