You should also get into Love Nikki lore. There's a war between modern Russia and basic fantasy western european kingdom. There's also a technological country with robots and cyborgs. One of the main characters got killed brutally. All of these happened in a p2w dress up game.

Also tjere's this magic ban on violence in the universe which is why all conflicts are now solved in dress up contests... which is also why the brutal murder is extra effed up, because it means the murderer managed to get past the anti-violence magic somehow (Idk if the murder mystery ever got solved, I never got very deep into the game)

I'm gonna be honest, I've been playing merge mansion for 3 year now and the lore is all over the place, but once Maddy gets the call from Charlie, the whole game is Maddy trying to find him in the mansion

There's something ridiculously funny about the guy that made "The Disturbing Dystopia of The Charmin Bears" saying that the lore of a series is beneath them. Like, THIS is where the line is drawn.
I'm still surprised that Merge Mansion doesn't have its official animated soap opera (aside from mobile ads). Those ads are hella good for such a slop game.

Why this has lore while also being in the same conversation as candy crush really makes you think.
i actually find the gameplay to be very calming and chill in contrast to the wild wacky story. the story being so convoluted and insane is like the complete opposite of just dragging things to merge them in the actual game, which makes me kinda love it.
At some point there will come a point where 'the choopler' has to explain the bizarre lore of choopoo

As a person who's been playing Merge Mansion for years, I don't care about the story at all. I find the cleaning of the island you do so satisfying. And I love finding out what the "next merge" is. It's a skinner box, I know it is, but it's the only fremium game that has stayed on my phone for as long as it has. There's just something about it. The lore is wild, though.
I had started playing merge mansion like 2 years ago because of the stupid ads and you can tell with each update they lean more and more into the silliness of the ads

I once played one of those merging games for a rewards app. And like. They're so addictive?? I thought I'd be bored out of my mind, but there's some light strategy so it kept me entertained but not stressed

This video taught me more about the game lore than OVER A YEAR of playing the game. It took over a year of playing to get inside the mansion and meet Victoria because Maddie didn’t check under the welcome mat for a key and had to meet Heikki at the lighthouse to hear a riddle telling her to look there after renovating almost the entire outdoors of the mansion grounds. At least Heikki actually talks about Charlie a bit more than Ursula after Maddie tells him about the phone call she got from him.
Also Hank is fine, he showed up again I think with some kind of gift for Deb and I believe the two ended up getting married.
I started playing this and stopped because it felt like it wads too in my face with the "LOOK HOW MYSTERIOUS EVERYTHING IS AND DON'T TRUST GRANDMA." I'm honestly pretty glad I get to know what the hell is going on in this game without having to play it again lol
i hope that one day choopo makes a video on the many deaths of the royal match king i see in mobile game ads everywhere.

I played this game for a while, at least until the events kinda took over.
But the ads are wild... And absolutely not how the characters are in-game. Going from playing the game to seeing an ad on youtube feels like whiplash because so little of the ad is actually within the game.
Someone else said they should just make a tv show out of it, and I think at this point that's what's happening. Whoever was in charge of ads had a lifelong dream of making a series and they did not wait for the stars to align. Absolute brute force maneuver.
