The “chicken sandwich wars” thing is hilarious on multiple levels because this was an actual thing that happened IRL as a publicity stunt between various fast food restaurants across the US in 2021/2022
I will never forget the day I was playing this game. Burnt a burger then I could actually smell burning. I'm like wtf so real! Then I noticed the sunlight was going through a glass sphere thing I had and literally starting a fire on the carpet. No damage was done and it was handled but lmao
One thing you didn’t mention in this video: One of the customers you serve is named Radlynn. She likes to wear *radish* themed clothing and has an unlock-able costume where she wears a white trench coat and fedora with thick glasses… Oh and around Halloween, she wears a Radley Madish costume. One of the greatest evils in the Flipverse is right in front of you at all times and your character doesn’t do anything about it!
actually i'm pretty sure her lore states that she met radley as a kid and he was very nice to her, and that's why she has her radish thing going on. he also gave her the knitted hat.
Ya know, I find it kinda heartwarming that Roy went from exploited minimum wage worker to Papa's #2, really moving up in the world, someone should give him his own page on the villians wiki.
The weird part is that Tony Solary and Matt Neff, the developers of the Papa Louie series confirmed that nationality doesn't exist in the Papa Louie universe. Even though Papa Louie himself is italian-
theory, papa was used to be in the mafia, making him a great deal of money. he later retires and makes the pizzeria with a recipe he made in his spare time at the mafia. then , because of his mafia brain, he thinks that kidnapping people is ok and does that. he later learns from his mistakes (kinda) and continues to sell his yummy recipes around the world using the money from the mafia
i’ve gotten 100% on Cluckeria, Pastaria, and Mocharia at various points in my life and am currently playing Bakeria. it’s weird how much lore there is for these games.
I'm shocked you didn't go through all the family connections. The Romanos among others, a bunch of the customers are families and related. It's so interesting to me tbh. Penny and Alberto are dating. Mary and Sue are, also. The lore goes much, much deeper.
this! don't the customers also work at different papa's restaurants too? maybe there's an underground speed train line that allows them to both eat and work at different restaurants lol papa's subway subberia coming to u in 2022
Not only that but Xandra and Xolo are siblings (with a wacky origin story), Matt and Tony are based off the series creators and Doan is based off an old friend of theirs, Mandy is based off of Tony's irl wife, Radlynn met Radley Madish, Sarge Fan legally changed his name to reflect the villain he idolizes, etc
I showed my sisters girlfriend papa’s susheria two weeks ago and she said it’s the first she’d ever heard of the games. Of course I had to show her more and now we all compete on the weekends
Do you know where i can keep playing them for free? I cant afford them on my phone, i have an android, and i supposedly need flash player (which stopped existing) on my laptop to play 😭 help
As someone who is OBSESSED with this series and has nearly every factoid memorised, this is probably the best papa louie series video I've ever seen. You got a lot accurate with the timeline but I feel like some things could have been mentioned about the side characters, such as Roy's twin sister Joy, and how Matt, Tony and Mandi are all self inserts of real people (Matt is the main programmer, Tony is the art guy, Mandi is Tony's wife). You also could have mentioned that santa uses warp coins to deliver presents but tbh I hate that santa is a canon customer so the less said about him the better. Very good video nonetheless
As someone with anxiety, it has never occurred to me to purposefully give the customers an insane food like you clearly have in this video and now I feel like I'm missing out.
Papa Louie will always be one of my favorite flash game franchises. These games made cooking look so fun as a kid and the reason I took a liking to cooking irl. Retrospectively, I didn’t realize how manipulative Papa Louie was towards his customers.😂
all of papa louie's war crimes, scandals, and violations of the geneva convention aside his worst crime definitely has to be calling his taco place "papa's taco mia" when the word taqueria was literally right fucking there
that is the one thing that has bothered me since elementary school. like "hot doggeria" and "donuteria" sound so awkward but youre going to pass over "tacoria"???
ironically the file name for papas taco mia is spelled as papastacomia so at first glance, it does look like it might say papas taqueria. (personally I keep reading it as papas tacoia)
When I was a kid I figured each restaurant’s papa was a brother of the original. Like Louie was their last name and they all just looked very similar and everyone just called them papa
I always wondered why Louie always opened a new type of shop in every area instead of going for a nationwide pizzeria chain. Was he going with the locals' food preferences?
Considering how the Pastaria's location (Portallini) is based on Italy, and the Hot Doggeria is in a baseball stadium, I think it's because of the local preferences, yes
I missed these games so much I downloaded some thing that let's you play flash games, I tried the apps but they just weren't the same... And I got all my progress back since I still had my backups saved
The Maxima Project: Flashoint is pretty good for playing flash games. Maybe there is a different reliable way to play them, but I use Flashpoint and it's decent enough Edit: "Blue Maxima" project I believe was what it was called
Yeah, I might try playing it again, I downloaded Flash Debug, allows me to play flash games so I could still play some old Castle Defense 2, Bloons Tower Defense, man flash games were my childhood back in elementary.
Papa's Freezeria is still my favourite. My childhood memories of being scared of those critics, making random stuff and failing on purpose. I played it again a few months back and absolutely wrecked all the critics. I somehow improved without playing it for several years. I somehow built a strategy to make consistent orders. It was a nice revisit.
I guess the reason one improves is probably because in general after experiences of playing (any game, not just papa games) and having a good sense of clicking stuff at the right time is how it went for you
Mannnn Papa Louie was a staple growing up… I’ve legit missed this series and didn’t realise Flipline were still making games for it… Such a phenomenal video
Judging by papa's Mocharia, the benefits for working for Louie being rent free, not having to pay utilities, and refusing to fire you for using gallons of mayo and other sauces to make meme burgers for Wally, I'd say it's really not bad that you're getting paid in tips.
Pretty obvious how Louie is so powerful. He rakes in profits from each store as all the money goes to him while the employee gets tips which they use to maintain the restaurant. Papa invests this money into opening a new restaurant, rinse and repeat.
And I'm still confused till these days, why is Little Eduardo look older than his brother Carlo? Is Eduardo the older one or Carlo the younger one? Eduardo even married Olga so I assumed, he's the man who has dwarfism as if you compared to the other characters, he's the shortest.
This is my dream video and I haven't even watched it yet. I am obsessed with Flipline games since I was 6 and always the everything about the Papa games
Gosh I can relate so harrrdddd. The slideshows were so well made that me, a small non english speaking child could also understand what ws happening without knowing the texts. Obviously the game was addictive too but you know
I believe there is a potential explanation that not only sheds light on Papa Louie's sudden shift in character but also why he abandons you during Papa's Cluckeria. I think becoming a Prisoner of War to Radley Manish and Sarge changed Papa as a person, during the attack on Papa's Burgeria. It's not uncommon for POWs to be diagnosed with PTSD, along with generalized anxiety disorders and depressive disorders after being released. The old Papa was a greedy man who wasn't afraid to lie, manipulate those around him, and steal their wages in order to expand his vast fast-food empire. The new Papa is different, more kind and understanding, willing to give away his riches to people down on their luck. But when the Chicken Wars happen Papa suddenly dissappears? We see that the Twins have a Warp Coin, it might be possible that the Twins are affiliated with Radley Manish. If so, maybe seeing the Twins join the war triggered Papa to go into hiding. As the war continued, Papa eventually built up the courage to reveal himself. The Papa's Series is a redemption story, a greedy buisness man is left broken as a POW until he's saved by his own employees who HE manipulated, from then on he chooses to become a new man... a better man.
i grew up homeschooled and sheltered and wasn’t allowed more than 20mins on the computer. i remember literally setting my alarm for 4am, logging onto the family computer i wasn’t supposed to know the password to, and playing papas freezeria every morning then delete it from the browser history. i would lie and tell my mom i just got up thirty minutes before her to “get a start on schoolwork.” i remember completing the whole game and purchasing every single decoration and upgrade available bc i was that addicted. i forgot all about all of that until this video popped up on my feed for whatever reason. so thank you (how tf was i surprised many years later when finding out i’m autistic?? this game was all i thought about for like two years)
I relate to this comment! When I was 11 these games were my life! I only had a half hour on the computer a day and I spent the whole time playing whatever the latest game was. (I was so happy when I upgraded to an hour of game time.)
Was everyone that played the Papa's games homeschooled? Because me too! And we used to all play, even my mom was into it because she loves tycoons and simulators. We used to only have an hour of playtime, but if our mom forgot, my sister and I just kept playing for hours 😅
I wasn’t allowed to play these games at home, so every year when I spent two weeks at my grandparents’ house, I would wake up at 6am every morning to play Papa’s Freezeria before anyone else woke up. Deep, deep memory that watching this video brought out
I always found it funny how there’s actually a correct “ria” word for the taco place, but since it’s in Spanish I doubt the devs knew and called it Taco Mia instead, even though this sounds Italian to me. It’s called a taquería btw
this lore is way too fucking good, proof that in whatever game youre having a playthrough of, you should stop and ask yourself "yo what if this game has a story"

Hello, I was the first mod (yes, the very first one) of the Flipline Forums. I never thought to see anyone making a video of all the Papa's restaurants here. It really brings back memories. I stopped after... ah, I can't remember the sequence after Wingeria... Anyway, I stopped because of work and I eventually forgotten it. Maybe I should try going back to it again...
D-Walker aka Meepers!! I was just thinking about you the other day! I too was a flipline forum member (ChinKaraHoi). Nice seeing you again after nearly a decade!
I'm currently resisting the urge to start playing allll the games through. I was in elementary school when I played them and never got through... I'm now studying a Master's degree and absolutely should not start the saga :D
I don't know why it's so special for me. I've tried others (all of them before pies I think - wings, sushi, cheese, pizza obvs) and none of them were just right, like the Freezeria. Wings were kinda boring and made me wanna eat all the time, and sushiria was incredibly hard to keep track and perfectly cut and roll the ingredients. Which is kinda true, from one side, but from the other, this is usually a work of like four people, and one of them only does rice, all day.
This whole video was me realizing that there is an actual story line in this series. When I was playing these, I was a ten year old kid trying to speed run pancakeria and freezeria in the 10 minutes of free play time during computers class.
The characters actually do different things while not eating at the restaurant. Vicky and Mindy both work at a Hairstylist shop of their own. Quin is a lawyer and before Bakeria Timm was too, but he wanted to follow his dreams.
Louie is monopolistic mastermind he runs pretty much any food industry you can imagine from good ol Pizza chain to Sushi or idk what are the 2 extremes that are far from each other
Can we appreciate the fact that Papa's Games is evolving Storywise, from Having no ending, to having an Ending in Pastaria, and then having an Inbetween Cutscenes now in Cluckaria
I'm convinced that Papa Louie has something going on in the background with Guy Mortadello. The guy stole mutliple people's possessions leaving them with employment at Papa's as their only option. Papa Louie is heralded as a hero for helping these down on their luck people, but I think he planned it all out so he could avoid the scrutiny of dumping restaurants on unsuspecting "prize winners." He seemingly holds a monoply on fast food joints and when competition arises in a new sector, we're encouraged to help beat it down for Papa. He diverts tourism to remote destinations where he conveniently has a restaurant set up. He strongarms brand new employees into running his businesses for him. He only uses his vast wealth to help others once they've been brought into his restaurant schemes. It's clear that the only thing that's changed about Papa Louie are his methods.
so what youre saying is that louie its mr beast if he were a restaurant chain owner, since he used the current philanthropist trends in this world for the sole purpose of profiting for himself. man he really is a really smart business owner.
Can't wait for the next papa louie game called "Papa's buffeteria" where you complete the game bosh rush style, calling upon everything you learned in previous Papa Louie games only to then be with tips at the end of the day.
You know, I could see a co-op game in this series. One guy doing things like entertaining customers so that they wait longer while the chef does the orders, while the AI assistant gets the table orders.
0:36 I feel like you should have mentioned the island called "Calypso Island" Calypso being the woman who trapped Odysseus on her island to be her sex slave for 7 years. Just like Papa traps people in his restaurants to do basically free labor for indeterminate amounts of time.
Papa owning different kinds of restaurants and a cruise line while tricking innocent souls into working for him: *I was a business man, doing business* Papa Louie is the only gaming character to own several fast-food restaurants and become an ordained priest. Truly one of the characters of all time
Nothing will ever replace filling the entire build menu with mayo in the burgeria or giving people raw wings in the wingeria but my favorite is actually playing the cupcake and donuteria games as intended
I cannot forget the 8 year old me spending hours on Papa Louie Wiki! Damn those were the days of joy!! The fact that every single character had a million words of backstory still sends me!
i was recently hyperfixated on this series and i spent so much time looking at all the flipdecks and character relationships and families and stuff and i know so many of their names now (explaining a bunch of character lore could be a cool video)
My favourites were always the platformers. Idk I just really loved the food monster enemies designs. I hope they make a new game, it's been like 7 years since the last one :(
these games were my childhood and the fact that you can't access them anymore is heartbreaking edit: i searched for a while to find a browser that would work and i finally got one :) been making donuts ever since.
Papa with his customers: I am very nice and caring and even give a free pizza day to my loyal customers.☺️ Papa with his employees: You get NO MONEY and the tips you get will be invested into the restaurants decorations!😡
I can't explain how OBSESSED i was with this game series. When I discovered there was more than 3 as a young teen, my mind exploded and spent countless days playing them all.
Gotta say, the "to go" games do improve quite a bit. They are translated really well into mobile screens, and with some mechanics that come from the more recent games. They are paid games, however, though pretty cheap.
I'm convinced Papa Louie was the one who kidnapped the kid's dog so he could trick them into doing free labor. In fact, I'm sure Papa Louie secretly orchestrates all the coincidences all the events that cause you to work for him at the start of each game.
Before even watching the video I can say for sure that Papa Louie is the high ranking mafia member known as "the godpapa" he is highly wanted and has an estimated kill count of 275. Truly a monster among us
As someone in the Papa Louie fandom (yes, we exist) this video made me laugh so dang much. There's a lot of different lore and stuff between the cracks that most people who play casually don't pick up on. For instance, there are 2 customers who are just kinda interdimensional aliens from the X Zone - Xolo and Xandra - who live in the main Flipverse with some old lady Edna now after their home was destroyed. There's a group of characters - Sarge Fan, Radlynn, and LePete - who are hardcore fans of the evil Munchmore people even if they've been kidnapped by them. Sarge Fan even got his name legally changed to, well, Sarge Fan, because of it. Plus some other stuff along those lines. Also, I found it funny when you brought up the weird names of the customers, because some get even weirder than the ones you brought up, like my boy C.J. Friskins. Sorry for the ramble comment, I'm just very passionate about these games lmao Edit: I keep getting replies asking how to join the Flipline fandom. Go to Flipline dot com and register for the forum, that's the easiest way to convey it through RUclips comments. There are Discord servers and stuff too but I think those get blocked for spam down here
You know, I never question them because the characters never decide to tell Papa Louie “No mustached man, I’m not running your restaurant” Now I’m also wandering how much a Flipverse dollar is worth.
My first and favourite one was the Cupcakeria - I had made up a backstory for every customer, my protagonist Avril (it was my Avril Lavigne era) got into a relationship with one of the customers even, but they broke up later on bc he didn’t understand and support her business
I loved cheeseria and pancakeria. I played when sundaes attack religiously every Sunday after church and was almost done with the entire game but my entire progress was erased :')
mine was pancakeria, i would play it everyday before going to school. i also did a similar thing, i would try to come up with distinctive voices for every costumer lol
I actually love the Warp coin angle in Cluckeria, it has the potential of expanding actual lore!! The warp coins being explained and the entire relation of Radley Madish and/or Munchmore with the Crumple family! That would be very interesting!
What makes it even more interesting is that Bonnie and Yalanda Crumple were based on characters who would've been villains in an unreleased game starring Sarge from the first Papa Louie platformer, which makes it all the more cool that they wound up having a connection to the warp coins.

This is very interesting

It's clear that the only thing that's changed about Papa Louie are his methods.
you might be onto something
He did buy a dance studio though, so I guess he's pretty okay.

Friskins. Sorry for the ramble comment, I'm just very passionate about these games lmao

And a fully developed game ready for release: Papa's paleteria
My first and favourite one was the Cupcakeria - I had made up a backstory for every customer, my protagonist Avril (it was my Avril Lavigne era) got into a relationship with one of the customers even, but they broke up later on bc he didn’t understand and support her business
I wish we were able to do that in game😂
@@lilliesinthegard32 IT WAS TYLER or Taylor idk but I just remembered haha - it‘d be so so cool
I loved cupcakeria!!!
@@JoeyCannoli Yeah!

@@JoeyCannoli where do you get that information?
@@paulitastic2 It was in a blog by Flipline on "Unfinished Sarge Game"
Papa Louie is probably the most dangerous man in all of fiction
