The best part about PvZ lore is that it IS stupid. Like sure, franchises like Kingdom Hearts and Kirby (lol) can have their share of dark and edgy stuff, but no other franchise can say that _garden gnomes_ are these time deities with such confidence as Plants vs Zombies.
I'd say the way that Kirby handles its dark stuff (from his perspective) is pretty similar. He has no idea what's going on...like me, watching this video.
Honestly, the fact that Zomboss was hell bent on destroying Crazy Dave's *neighbor's* house in PvZ1 really got me questioning if he even knew that the person he was attacking wasn't Crazy Dave. What if, and hear me out, the entire first game is all the result of a wrong address? What if Zomboss thought he was trying to kill Crazy Dave, but was actually trying to break into the house next door? I just think it would be extremely comical and fitting for the tone of the series if the game that started it all was Zomboss unwittingly targeting Crazy Dave's hapless next-door neighbor, who appeared to be both incredibly unlucky and extremely skilled at agriculture.
Neighbor also had the weirdest shaped pool in existence And could spontaneously make zomboss’s entire army grow mustaches instantly And also knowing Dave he probably made a small comment about his neighbor making lemon squares for his birthday once during a skirmish and then zomboss decided the neighbor must die for even thinking of Being acquaintances with Dave
Well, there is also a chance that Zomboss actually can tell the difference between CD's Neighbor's house and Dave's house. I know this, because in the comic: Rumble at Lake Gumbo, Zomboss uses a robot body while he's at his base or whatever so he can sneak into Crazy Dave's house and steal his toaster. . . . He fails.
Neighbor also somehow omnipotently knows whats happening in any given spot on his lawn, even if there is a Tall-nut blocking his view, and even gets that omnipotent knowledge when the zombies try to use the roof
in pvz1, we the "neighbor" are actually a hallucination from Crazy Dave and we aren't real, we know that because of a newspaper saying "crazy man saves world" or something like that, implying Crazy Dave was alone all along

But then you can throw this whole argument out the window once you realize that time travel is a thing in this universe. Whoops!
There is actually no evidence that Dan Povenmire ever voiced Zomboss. People assume he voiced him in the Garden Warfare Boss Mode trailer, but the VA for that was never named, upon the VA's request. So he MIGHT have been the VA, but we don't actually know for sure. The Wiki says he is, but it doesn't source the claim. Also you didn't mention how the plants and zombies teamed up to defeat the king of the gnomes using giant dinosaur and cat mechs
@@Darthwgamer it's as simple as it can be. Like, the different games (or toons, movies etc.) Simply elaborate (or reiterate) on what was already established. There are birds, and there are pigs (and possibly a bunch of some more animals but those aren't important as the story focuses on just these two factions) And that's it. You can meet new characters, learn everyone's backstories, see all the wonders this bizzarre world has to offer but that's it, there's nothing else like an official multiverse (god forbid that). There are stuff like Rio, Transformers or star wars crossovers, AB Epic, Space etc. But they aren't exactly connected.
I headcanon that super brainz from heroes and super duper brainz from gw2 are completely different zombies, and heroes happens before gw2 (same with rose and citron)
The people who made both the GW serious don’t work in Popcap anymore, theres an AI called “steve” that runs the servers. They were gone before Popcap started working on PVZ3. Also in one of Popcap old videos they mentioned that they are working on a “PVZ 5” back in 2013, to this day we don’t know what they’re talking about.

what do think of this the purple gas laser into heroes improve zombies if he modern kind least smart enough but if in a few more generations lose the brain hungry why not modified the ray to improve his kind modern day kind so 40% out of 100 be smart and physical and fully stable as a human maybe the new ray make him 50% improve?
The Garden Warfare games and BfN are a really cool way to show the conflict of the world from the perspective of the Plants and Zombies actually participating in these wars instead of from the eyes of Dave and Zomboss or some humans who aren't doing the direct fighting at all. The Attack/Defend maps in these games even tell their own stories such as the Plants having to stop the Zombies from launching the second version of the PvZ 1 Zombot or the Zombies having to stop the Plants from invading the moon and destroying a space magnet that will drown the planet in a permanent solar eclipse, which would basically kill every Plant and, by default, every human remaining.
But zomboss and crazy dave are still heavily omnipresent in this titles, to a damaging amount in my opinion. Crazy dave was originally your neighbor not a war tactician or general like why does he have to show up to direct every mission? Same thing with zomboss but on a smaller scale, he doesn’t need to be there himself all the time and given that pvz heroes exist its especially confusing why doesn’t he just make his workers…. Do more of his job for him instead of needing to spell every direction for us. Its very much a sort of branding thing I believe, but I think it does hurt the worldbuilding as it gets limited to these two and it can’t go any further because Popcap put themselves in that corner.

@@TheFirstCurse1 My point wasn’t to say necessarily speaking that the two shouldn’t be heavily featured, what I’m saying is that their importance has become too much of a crutch for the development of the worldbuilding in plants vs zombies. So we can have entire worlds, distinct locations, and eras worth of plants and zombies, with many other logical characters (any pvz hero character, major sweetie, any of the shooter bosses, etc) that could be more expanded upon yet these two are basically the ONLY relevant characters with the level of leadership pull they have on every single aspect of the shooter games, and to another extent the rest of the franchise too. And yes you literally proved my point, at this point popcap has put themselves in that hole themselves. They can’t not put crazy dave and zomboss as the respective figure heads of either side because how entrenched this point has been made for every single media featuring plants vs zombies.

I’m one of the lucky few to play the PVZ arcade game, yes I love the pvz franchise and GW2 is the best, but the video imo was not accurate, and the comic was non-canon

As seen in one of the PVZ comics, crazy Dave is absurdly good at dancing, to the point where he got an award for dancing for I think a few days straight, and he can most likely live without sleep even though he can and does like to sleep
The one thing pvz 3 did that was good is adding aspects from the comics into the game lore. I also like that you read the guidebook. I thought I was the only one who paid attention to it.

In Plants vs Zombies Battle for Neighborville, there exists a statue in honor of an ancestor of Crazy Dave, named Amos "pass me a cat" Blazing. In the first issue of the PvZ graphic novels, Crazy Dave himself sings a song about how "You shouldn't trust a cat." He sings about their supposed faults, enough to establish that he strongly dislikes them, at the very least. That statue of Amos Blazing has a bunch of cats swarming him... Which leads me to conclude that cats may have canonically killed a man.

I’m one of the lucky few to play the PVZ arcade game, yes I love the pvz franchise and GW2 is the best, but the video imo was not accurate, and the comic was non-canon

@@technick_clover7555 you mean that whole "The Last Peashooter" arcade game, right? I was also lucky enough to get a chance to play it. It's kinda sad to see the direction the franchise has been going, and I do agree Garden Warfare 2 is the undisputed GOAT of the franchise.
@@technick_clover7555they keep shoehorning the comic lore into the newer games, but even gw2 and heroes feel more comic-y and childish like it as well. Not a great choice imo given that it makes for some very convoluted stuff that surely was just supposed to be gags as opposed to serious plot points. And if the comics were legitimately discounted I think it would clean a LOT of the pvz lore by far

As seen in one of the PVZ comics, crazy Dave is absurdly good at dancing, to the point where he got an award for dancing for I think a few days straight, and he can most likely live without sleep even though he can and does like to sleep

In Plants vs Zombies Battle for Neighborville, there exists a statue in honor of an ancestor of Crazy Dave, named Amos "pass me a cat" Blazing. In the first issue of the PvZ graphic novels, Crazy Dave himself sings a song about how "You shouldn't trust a cat." He sings about their supposed faults, enough to establish that he strongly dislikes them, at the very least. That statue of Amos Blazing has a bunch of cats swarming him...
Which leads me to conclude that cats may have canonically killed a man.
