(bonus time!)23: in gw2 there is a map called frontline flats. the human houses are empty and for sale for the same reason as in neighborville and the zombies houses there are empty and for sale because they were just built a few months or even days ago. infact in the background you can see them building more homes for zombies

2:01 This point is really bad considering, as you said, the van FLIES OFF, the clear intent is that he's actually gone and the van in the bushes is just a model waiting for him to need to have a comeback animation to do something
I have a theory of my own.. crazy Dave is actually just schizophrenic goku, way in the future where vegeta’s (zomboss) hairline has gone so far back it just doesn’t exist anymore and the events of the main game don’t exist… the plants on his lawn, the zombies in his front yard, the only real part was vegeta, and even then he imagines him as a zombie. The players point of veiw takes place in Dave’s eyes where everything going on seems to be real but that’s what his mind wants you to think. But in the end this all happens because Dave forgot to take his schizo meds.
In pvz2 its confirmed his tacos has no Meat as aparently hes vegan and jornals in the walls at Garden warfare 2 hes show that dave made the plants in a competition with zumboss as he wined for creating sensient life as zomboss raised the dead
Bro legit confused the model for the return animation as lore 💀 Also just because the game is safe for children to play doesn't mean it's FOR kids. Rich and George have confirmed multiple times that the target audience is all ages - the franchise explicitly contains horror elements specifically to appeal to an older audience while maintaining a cartoony aesthetic to appeal to a younger audience. Real "kid friendly is exactly the same thing as specifically for kids fallacy" moment.
There is "for all ages" and "for children". "For children" is when a work focuses on children and "for all ages" is when a work does not focus only on children, but rather for everyone!
@@NYAN_GAB-13 Exactly! Both PvZ, Minecraft, and the MAJORITY of Nintendo's output are actually "for all ages," not just children. This is literally the precise reason there are adults who play PvZ, Pokémon, and Minecraft, but there aren't exactly a whole lot of adults watching Dora the Explorer.
This might connect with the "Player is Crazy Dave's Imaginary Friend" Theory, aswell as why he is crazy, because having to be forced to eat the Brainz of all of your friends is pretty much traumatizing for him, and he is alone with no one and goes crazy overtime, and he thinks his friends are still alive and can see them, but in reality they are dead, and we are nothing but a imaginary friend.
Interesting theory but I see a few issues. The brain on display in his robot’s office could very much just be seeing why zombies are drawn to them, him lingering by areas specifically heavily populated or dangerous territory might be in case he needs to send in more backup, the chomper cafe might be designed for only chompers and not Dave, the pizza in zombie territory might just be from looting a pizzeria, if he was gathering the humans in the houses of neighborville then why didn’t the plants attack the guy who wanted mixtapes?. And it could very much be possible that zomboss was just making zombie establishment’s near populated areas to make the zombies simply go there more often. And the funeral home dude might have just been turned and he was investigating.
lemmie sum it up for ya, the zombies took over and the plants built all that stuff like statues and shops in protected areas, then zombies attacked and took over part of the area, so the zombies redecorated, they left dome of the plant-built stuff laying around because they are to stupid to realize, also zomboss is way to lazy to notice it anyways.
There's also the fact that in PVZ 1 and 2, Crazy Dave doesn't work with the player other than to sell things to them, despite the fact that in PvZ1 you'd assume that Crazy Dave's life should be in as much danger as the player's, and in PvZ2 the player is straight up helping him get his taco, yet both times he is completely independent of the player even when the player is struggling. I feel like Crazy Dave sells things to the player just to make a quick buck, as well as lower suspicion, albeit this allows the player to defeat all the zombies, which he might not've expected him to whenever he does sell to the player. There's also the fact that he somehow survives PvZ1 despite being kidnapped by the zombies for the duration of the Zomboss fight, and it's strange the zombies didn't immediately eat him, considering they had no reason not to, especially since they'll immediately eat the player's brains without hesitation.. Unless Dave was working with them. And the fact that Crazy Dave doesn't work with the player even when he's helping them get his taco in PvZ2 and just stands aside the whole time (whilst giving the player tasks like keeping zombies from trampling a bunch of flowers), it might be possible that he was luring the player into a trap by taking them through time (especially since PvZ2 is pretty difficult,) almost as though he perceives the player as a threat for having been able to use the plants better than expected during PvZ1.. And considering that the player is nowhere to be found in the Garden Warfare games (or most other spinoff games), and PvZ3 is a prequel to PvZ1 and/or 2, it's safe to say that the player inevitably dies, so this sadly isn't a happy ending. *Tl;dr the signs that Crazy Dave is a villain were very much there from the start*
Zombies are literally a separate species to humans. One would assume that a pvz zombie can't convert humans via bites the same way as other zombies and would likely require other methods to do the conversion
Probably true cause zomboss convert himself to a zombie as the science fair or something like that, also zombies dont look really damage to say they were converted in a brutal way, we can say they were manually revived instead of some kind of infection of course they are dangerous because they are aggressive but not because they Can infect other humans
Im surprised you didn't bring up crazy dave getting kidnapped in the final level for pvz by a zombie, as he could have been effected or, there is a picture of Crazy Dave and Dr. Zomboss with the plants and zombies together saying that they been working together and the wars they did with each other weren't for the reasons we thought.
2:57 In PvZ (original) on the plant cards you can see “gloom and doom co” it’s emphasized that they make the plants so in a town where zombies are a regular occurrence, you would want to buy the plants so by making them cheap to buy, it would be safer. This theory is not the best and instead could have been about “gloom and doom co” or something not about where the developers put Dave’s car out of bounds.
Ah yes my favorite Crazy Dave word:?'nimoC ouY Also you should have played the PvZ Console versions where there's 3 new NPCs:Raven , Two Headed #1 and Two Headed #2
Knowing some things about game development, I'm willing to bet that Dave's flying RV you can see outside the map is probably just preparing for the final phase of Garden OPs, AKA the escape section. So it's not any conspiratory stuff it's just Popcap has it there in advance to use for the final sequence (idk why probably it's easier to use that way instead of spawning another, or it's spaghetti code they didn't want to fix, some weird shit happens sometimes in game dev.)
this is the same series where dave canonically went back to the 80s to compete in a disco contest to win a pair of golden pants and he sends plants into another dimension to get treasure from gnomes. i doubt popcap cares about what dave’s food source is.
6:06 this evidence is kinda dumb because this is literally a board of zombies and the thread connects to some of the zombies. I don’t know how this instantly meant that Dave is a cannibal.
Your theory is very good, but some points called me out, first, chomper pizza's chips and chops may be like this because the onwer is a chomper, he eats zombies, also the taco he ate in pvz 2 was vegetarian, proof on the final boss on far future, the brain that had many pointers on it was because of the investigations on zombies, trying to know what is their objective, there is some others but I wont point they out, something that make me a little confused is the fact you object yourself, but is a worthless detail
I think that Chomper’s pizza is actually vegetarian after looking at the menu, so it can’t be zombie meat. Also, all the brain stuff could’ve been stolen from Zomboss, as Dave may have used some of Zomboss’ scrap metal to make Penny. It could also be the same for all the brain drinks; since zombies will eventually rot on their bones, there must be something in their drinks that keep them “alive”.
I always had a headcanon that these 2 were Brothers who use dead people to train plants why? because both zombies and plants are dead people who were resurrected by Dave and Zombos, the problem is that zombies want to eat brains and the plants are aggressive so they create endless duels for them, silently creating a new drug that will save humanity
That's a Level Four headcanon, ie "Bro you literally just made that up and ignored the source material" - they're canonically childhood rivals, confirmed by the "cheat" poster
11:20 I think that’s just the rendering technique called interior inclusion, it gives the illusion of 3D environment basically using layers rendered on a 2D texture that seem to move depending on ur camera angle I learned about it on the channel Shesez/Boundary Break
here's something you probably didn't even notice You know where Dave's Hidden in Jewel Junction? it's the ONLY part of Jewel Junction to be marked as "No Tresspassing: Zombie Protection Area" instead of "Warning: Private Porpurrty. You Shall Not Pass!" or "Caution: Super High Voltage 🌩NO TOUCHY!🌩"
3:12 because there is a zombie apocalypse where the Best defense are plants manufactured by a company that needs to make revenue without actually running out of customers....?
5:46 ok now, hold your horses. You're not John, my man. XD Jokes aside, nice video. Personally it felt like too much of a stretch but it was fun anyways.
7:38 are zombies actually their own race instead of walking corpses? Because if not then why is zomboss a child? From what i understand is zombies dont age they just rot, either zombies are a weird race of humans in this universe or doctor zomboss isn't really a zombie
Another point is that the Dreadroots as well as Deadwood in weirding woods were made to "protect" the humans, as well as keep the zombies trapped in Z-tech factory, kind of acting like a sort of double mouse trap for Dave. It hits two birds with one stone
Dave and zomboss were used to be friend but now since dave was so dumb zomboss decided to stop this so he decided to bring all of his cloning army to fight dave the plant once and for all
Could it be possible that Dave was turning into a zombie and found away to either slow it down or stop it at a point as in the original plants vs Zombies he was kidnapped by the zombies. And if he did stop it but he was still changed in a way he might need to eat somethings that zombies eat.
Another thing that supports this zomboss and Dave are working together is that in the final battle of plants vs zombies Dave is taken away by zomboss but never gets his brain taken. Zomboss could have taken the brain from Dave but didnt
Canonically Zomboss doesn't even eat brains. iirc part of the zombification involves removing the brain (usually by being eaten by a zombie) and Zomboss clearly still has his brain fully intact.
Another thing that may prove your theory is that In the wabby wabbo music video, Dave is shown with drunk “brain ooze” Since there are no zombies who have been shown in the video drinking, it is most likely, you guessed it. Crazy Dave.

6b: maybe it's called cactus canyon because it has cacti? like, non-moving normal cacti?
6c: the branding of a golf hole flag isn't evidence for jack! the only thing it proves is that either it was made by the zombies (and in war taking the other teams stuff for your own is normal) or a human made it because zombies exist. same thing applies to the chomper's pizza int the aqua center
7a: there is a human brain on the wall because it's one of those whatcha call its with the red string to attach related stuff! the brain is there because he's researching zomboss! a zombie (who eats brains) who is super smart (has brains) with the favorite snack of popsmarts (poptarts but with brains).
7b: why can't it represent the zombies or zomboss? you just said that. it most definitely is related to them and not some ploy by popcap to hint dave's a cannibal!
out of all of these this argument makes me the most irrationally angry
8: while the z-pop is good evidence if it's confirmed if dave drank it we have just as much evidence that stuffy sunflower drank it as dave did.
9: the grave digger most likely became a zombie because they were living in the garden center and was subsequently turned when the zombies took it over in gw2 it would make sense given the grave digger's eastar eggs in the second game are as zombies but the first one they're human.
10: the newspaper was most likely propoganda by zomboss to keep the zombie masses happy.
11: zomboss probably is just coping really hard and dave won the science fair fair and square and the zombotany zombies simply came after. we know it came after because we see the peashooter in the science fair when zomboss and crazy dave were kids but the zombotony zombies are being advertised with an adult zomboss
14: just because sombody is depended on and considered a hero doesn't mean that person did that on purpose to satisfy their megalomania. some heros are genuinely heros and we have no reason to assume dave isn't a genuine hero
13: not every plant is a sentient zombie killing plant. otherwise the zombies would literally die from touching grass. so those ads were likely advertising regular chili peppers and regular mushrooms.
14: if crazy dave was so crazy about pollution that he would commit genocide why would he be using an rv? shouldn't he be using a bike to time travel?
15: bro, if it's so easy to wipe out the zombies then surely you could do it if you were in crazy dave's position? turns out, defeating an army of semi-sentient zombies with gun run by a hyper intellegent zombie is not easy. cut dave some slack.
16: chomper's chips and chops is run by chompers. do you think chompers have the brain capacity to realise that humans don't eat zombies? that is if it isn't a "by chompers, for chompers, with zombies" kinda deal.
17: as someone else pointed out in pvz2 on level 25 of egypt zomboss suggests the idea that the taco has brains in it but after you defeat him dave says it actually has something called "tofunky" which i can only assume is a meat substitute made from tofu
18: you're using a drawing by some random human as evidence. someone just drew a zombie dude. i doubt crazy dave even saw it even if he does to save our seeds regularly...
19: we're probably not in suburbia in bfb because wars havve more than one city they fight in. i can't just boot up a ww2 game and assume this is an alternate timeline where the battle of the verdun never happened because i'm on the italian front!
20a: maybe nobody goes to giddy park because it's an active motherfucking warzone? just a thought...
20b: the poster probably had no humans because the artists didn't want to make tiny human models that take up 1% of a poster that 98% of people will never pay attention to.
21a: that's just a screen to make a 3d illusion for the players because, like the poster. why would you model an entire living room if 98% of players walk by without a care? it's just to make the artist's lives easer and put less strain on your computer.
21b: maybe the house are houses are on sale because nobody wants to live in a place being invaded by zombies? just some food for thought...
22: crazy dave kicked you from the game because you were afk and being a detrement to the team by filling up a slot an actually useful player could fill. read the whole message next time.
i even have a counter argument to an argument i made!
(bonus time!)23: in gw2 there is a map called frontline flats. the human houses are empty and for sale for the same reason as in neighborville and the zombies houses there are empty and for sale because they were just built a few months or even days ago. infact in the background you can see them building more homes for zombies

The next matpat
amazing editing and narration. It definitely deserves more recognition :') (srry for bad english)
This sounds like me trying to prove that my favourite ship is canon
Why would Crazy Dave kick you from the game? It's almost like they're stuck in a simulation...
I have never seen a theory like this, and it has amazing evidence. Also, ur intro and outta was kinda cool
In pvz2 its confirmed his tacos has no Meat as aparently hes vegan and jornals in the walls at Garden warfare 2 hes show that dave made the plants in a competition with zumboss as he wined for creating sensient life as zomboss raised the dead

Also just because the game is safe for children to play doesn't mean it's FOR kids.
Now that you have made this video. I want a pvz analog horror.
Fr, or a mod with it's own quests and campaign
@@capeduck5195 deadplants.exe exists. There's also one about George Fan iirc
Dave's plants aren't made by him, but by Bloom and Doom Seed Company, which can be seen in pvz 1 and the pvz official guide
That would make sense
“Nor zomboss with his big ass he-“ is the best quote I’ll hear for PVZ GW2
1:18 does anyone know what song this is?
I love it when people don't provide the sources for the music they use in their videos
It's in the description.
Cipher from LEMMiNO/Cicada 3301 theme
*Tl;dr the signs that Crazy Dave is a villain were very much there from the start*
humans and zombies lived in relative peace until a bit after Zomboss graduated college
Bros reach is 10 foot tall.
another video by Brando man we are spoiled
bro is onto nothing 😭
Zombies are literally a separate species to humans. One would assume that a pvz zombie can't convert humans via bites the same way as other zombies and would likely require other methods to do the conversion
Probably true cause zomboss convert himself to a zombie as the science fair or something like that, also zombies dont look really damage to say they were converted in a brutal way, we can say they were manually revived instead of some kind of infection of course they are dangerous because they are aggressive but not because they Can infect other humans
I love these types of videos
You hit this bang on the nail
what is the song at minute 1:00?
Im surprised you didn't bring up crazy dave getting kidnapped in the final level for pvz by a zombie, as he could have been effected or, there is a picture of Crazy Dave and Dr. Zomboss with the plants and zombies together saying that they been working together and the wars they did with each other weren't for the reasons we thought.
Where did you get the picture from?

2:57 In PvZ (original) on the plant cards you can see “gloom and doom co” it’s emphasized that they make the plants so in a town where zombies are a regular occurrence, you would want to buy the plants so by making them cheap to buy, it would be safer. This theory is not the best and instead could have been about “gloom and doom co” or something not about where the developers put Dave’s car out of bounds.

W video, I love the 3D animations you added!
3d animation?
Knowing some things about game development, I'm willing to bet that Dave's flying RV you can see outside the map is probably just preparing for the final phase of Garden OPs, AKA the escape section.
So it's not any conspiratory stuff it's just Popcap has it there in advance to use for the final sequence (idk why probably it's easier to use that way instead of spawning another, or it's spaghetti code they didn't want to fix, some weird shit happens sometimes in game dev.)
2:39 This is the equivalent of finding the secrets of reality using nothing but the equation 2+2=4
this is the same series where dave canonically went back to the 80s to compete in a disco contest to win a pair of golden pants and he sends plants into another dimension to get treasure from gnomes. i doubt popcap cares about what dave’s food source is.
against the theory of plants and zombies faking their fights and not actually killing eachother :
Every chomper ever
How to get into that bunker please!? Does anybody know?
6:06 this evidence is kinda dumb because this is literally a board of zombies and the thread connects to some of the zombies. I don’t know how this instantly meant that Dave is a cannibal.
The entire argument in pvz1 is sprites are stored out of bounds
Pretty sure Dave LIKES taco, Not Brainz, Since Dave Is the "Only" one With A Brain XD
10:52 P-1 SOUL SURVIVOR!!!
9:13 why did you say jalapeno like that bro 😭
💀
I always had a headcanon that these 2 were Brothers who use dead people to train plants why?
because both zombies and plants are dead people who were resurrected by Dave and Zombos, the problem is that zombies want to eat brains and the plants are aggressive so they create endless duels for them, silently creating a new drug that will save humanity
That's a Level Four headcanon, ie "Bro you literally just made that up and ignored the source material" - they're canonically childhood rivals, confirmed by the "cheat" poster

7:38 are zombies actually their own race instead of walking corpses? Because if not then why is zomboss a child? From what i understand is zombies dont age they just rot, either zombies are a weird race of humans in this universe or doctor zomboss isn't really a zombie
9:13 did you say jal ee peeno?
Another point is that the Dreadroots as well as Deadwood in weirding woods were made to "protect" the humans, as well as keep the zombies trapped in Z-tech factory, kind of acting like a sort of double mouse trap for Dave. It hits two birds with one stone
Dave and zomboss were used to be friend but now since dave was so dumb zomboss decided to stop this so he decided to bring all of his cloning army to fight dave the plant once and for all

Bro really is CRAZY Dave
Another thing that may prove your theory is that
In the wabby wabbo music video, Dave is shown with drunk “brain ooze”
Since there are no zombies who have been shown in the video drinking, it is most likely, you guessed it. Crazy Dave.
I know this video is a joke but one thing you're forgetting is that doom and bloom co™ makes the plants
It all makes sense now! 😨🤯
