Plants vs. Zombies is a video game franchise developed by PopCap Games, a subsidiary of Electronic Arts. The series follows the affiliates of David "Crazy Dave" Blazing as they use his plants to defend against a zombie invasion, led by Dr. Edgar George Zomboss.

It's confirmed in pvz 2 that there is no brains or meat in Dave's taco, it's actually "tofunky".

Definitely,remember the mobile game where the Zombies just straight up ask Dave to use his back yard for practice in attacking and he agrees and the Zombies sort of just keep there word I assume and not brake in to eat the brains after they mini game mode ends,probably because either Zombies are just dumb or don't want to be rude & start complications in there relationship.

in Crazy Dave's shop in PvZ 1 behind his car, there's a brain visible to it along with the other supplies then in PvZ 2 on Far Future on Dave's dialogue before Dr. Zomboss fight, he clearly said “Hey neighbor, can I borrow your brains? I mean hot sauce?” these just adds evidence to the theory

My theory is that Dave was already dead since PvZ1 due to the Bungee kidnapping him, and that the one we see in PvZ2, PvZ3 and other games might be some hallucination or maybe just a clone/hologram of Dave talking, you can connect my theory to yours which brings in an even weirder idea. Which is the fact Zomboss must’ve cloned Dave before eating him, then made the clone have one mission: act like the original Dave and also maybe have a little bit of zombie DNA which explains the cannibalism. Anyways, enough yapping coming from me.

@@bbbrandoif you think harder PvZ2 Dave is kinda suspicious, he acts dumber than in PvZ1, seriously though, he had smart-ish dialogues and in PvZ2 the main thing is Dave just hunting a taco. Also Dave questions the usage of the almanac in the start of the game if i remember right, so that’s suspicious because Dave kinda is the one introducing the almanac to us in the first game.
That would also explain why Dave even can eat brains, since a human could die if it eats one. If I remember well the brain has a defense system and is something poisonous

You forgot to mention in the first PvZ game after defeating Zomboss, they record a music video maybe as some sort of treaty.
You remember the music video but not the note - The zombies explicitly say "no more eating brains for us," the idea is that they've sworn off of it completely and are looking for other sources of food, hence no longer being a threat and being safe to be around people.

I have a theory of my own.. crazy Dave is actually just schizophrenic goku, way in the future where vegeta’s (zomboss) hairline has gone so far back it just doesn’t exist anymore and the events of the main game don’t exist… the plants on his lawn, the zombies in his front yard, the only real part was vegeta, and even then he imagines him as a zombie. The players point of veiw takes place in Dave’s eyes where everything going on seems to be real but that’s what his mind wants you to think. But in the end this all happens because Dave forgot to take his schizo meds.

Zombies are literally a separate species to humans. One would assume that a pvz zombie can't convert humans via bites the same way as other zombies and would likely require other methods to do the conversion
Probably true cause zomboss convert himself to a zombie as the science fair or something like that, also zombies dont look really damage to say they were converted in a brutal way, we can say they were manually revived instead of some kind of infection of course they are dangerous because they are aggressive but not because they Can infect other humans

Crazy Dave eats the food the plants give him, the plants always throw everything
lemmie sum it up for ya, the zombies took over and the plants built all that stuff like statues and shops in protected areas, then zombies attacked and took over part of the area, so the zombies redecorated, they left dome of the plant-built stuff laying around because they are to stupid to realize, also zomboss is way to lazy to notice it anyways.

Im surprised you didn't bring up crazy dave getting kidnapped in the final level for pvz by a zombie, as he could have been effected or, there is a picture of Crazy Dave and Dr. Zomboss with the plants and zombies together saying that they been working together and the wars they did with each other weren't for the reasons we thought.

Also just because the game is safe for children to play doesn't mean it's FOR kids. Rich and George have confirmed multiple times that the target audience is all ages - the franchise explicitly contains horror elements specifically to appeal to an older audience while maintaining a cartoony aesthetic to appeal to a younger audience. Real "kid friendly is exactly the same thing as specifically for kids fallacy" moment.
There is "for all ages" and "for children". "For children" is when a work focuses on children and "for all ages" is when a work does not focus only on children, but rather for everyone!

Your theory is very good, but some points called me out, first, chomper pizza's chips and chops may be like this because the onwer is a chomper, he eats zombies, also the taco he ate in pvz 2 was vegetarian, proof on the final boss on far future, the brain that had many pointers on it was because of the investigations on zombies, trying to know what is their objective, there is some others but I wont point they out, something that make me a little confused is the fact you object yourself, but is a worthless detail
I think that Chomper’s pizza is actually vegetarian after looking at the menu, so it can’t be zombie meat.
Also, all the brain stuff could’ve been stolen from Zomboss, as Dave may have used some of Zomboss’ scrap metal to make Penny. It could also be the same for all the brain drinks; since zombies will eventually rot on their bones, there must be something in their drinks that keep them “alive”.
here's all my arguments against this theory
1a: penny (dave's rv) is not nearly as visible as you make it out to be. infact the only way to get a good look is to do what you did and use a garlic drone 2 see it. meaning to most definitely was them just storing the model.
2a: the reason you see the one that drops you off and despawn while that one remains is simple actually! they (probably) used a clone to drop you off before despawning it and having the original pick you up in extraction. why did they not just have the real one drop you off and pick you up? i'm willing to bet they either didn't think about that or they ran into a bug and decided that this way was easier than solving it.
1c: he's in the mines map for the same reason as all the others. he picks you up and it's dumb to despawn and respawn the same object rather than storing it out of bounds.
2: the plants are probably discounted because it's good to have something that can kill zombies in a universe with zombies so buying a peashooter is very important for safety and in this universe people have empathy so they give deals for plants instead of jacking up the price!
3: the garden center probably has all that stuff is because it's contested territory constantly being claimed and reclaimed by both sides. this would also explain why it's zombie populated in garden warfare two. this IS cannonically a war after all!
4: using dave's lines as evidence is ridiculous. the only thing we can trust that crazy dave says is that he's crazy. i imagine he has a thought process like a toddler: when i put up a garden zombies attack, i just put up a garden, thus the zombies should attack, i should tell them. why? BECAUSE HE'S CRAAAAAZY!
5: just because the slushy is pink and gooey doesn't mean it's brains. sure it's safe to assume but now way is that holding up in a court of law
6a: yeah, there's no evidence crazy dave owns the cactus canyon. i have two theories: either it's a different human owns the golf course and it's plant themed because crazy dave isn't the only one who can grow the plants and the human decided the brains would be good marketing because the whole pvz thing or crazy dave does own the golf course and it has brains on it either for the same reason or BECAUSE HE'S CRAAAAAZY!
6b: maybe it's called cactus canyon because it has cacti? like, non-moving normal cacti?
6c: the branding of a golf hole flag isn't evidence for jack! the only thing it proves is that either it was made by the zombies (and in war taking the other teams stuff for your own is normal) or a human made it because zombies exist. same thing applies to the chomper's pizza int the aqua center
7a: there is a human brain on the wall because it's one of those whatcha call its with the red string to attach related stuff! the brain is there because he's researching zomboss! a zombie (who eats brains) who is super smart (has brains) with the favorite snack of popsmarts (poptarts but with brains).
7b: why can't it represent the zombies or zomboss? you just said that. it most definitely is related to them and not some ploy by popcap to hint dave's a cannibal!
out of all of these this argument makes me the most irrationally angry
8: while the z-pop is good evidence if it's confirmed if dave drank it we have just as much evidence that stuffy sunflower drank it as dave did.
9: the grave digger most likely became a zombie because they were living in the garden center and was subsequently turned when the zombies took it over in gw2 it would make sense given the grave digger's eastar eggs in the second game are as zombies but the first one they're human.
10: the newspaper was most likely propoganda by zomboss to keep the zombie masses happy.
11: zomboss probably is just coping really hard and dave won the science fair fair and square and the zombotany zombies simply came after. we know it came after because we see the peashooter in the science fair when zomboss and crazy dave were kids but the zombotony zombies are being advertised with an adult zomboss
14: just because sombody is depended on and considered a hero doesn't mean that person did that on purpose to satisfy their megalomania. some heros are genuinely heros and we have no reason to assume dave isn't a genuine hero
13: not every plant is a sentient zombie killing plant. otherwise the zombies would literally die from touching grass. so those ads were likely advertising regular chili peppers and regular mushrooms.
14: if crazy dave was so crazy about pollution that he would commit genocide why would he be using an rv? shouldn't he be using a bike to time travel?
15: bro, if it's so easy to wipe out the zombies then surely you could do it if you were in crazy dave's position? turns out, defeating an army of semi-sentient zombies with gun run by a hyper intellegent zombie is not easy. cut dave some slack.
16: chomper's chips and chops is run by chompers. do you think chompers have the brain capacity to realise that humans don't eat zombies? that is if it isn't a "by chompers, for chompers, with zombies" kinda deal.
17: as someone else pointed out in pvz2 on level 25 of egypt zomboss suggests the idea that the taco has brains in it but after you defeat him dave says it actually has something called "tofunky" which i can only assume is a meat substitute made from tofu
18: you're using a drawing by some random human as evidence. someone just drew a zombie dude. i doubt crazy dave even saw it even if he does to save our seeds regularly...
19: we're probably not in suburbia in bfb because wars havve more than one city they fight in. i can't just boot up a ww2 game and assume this is an alternate timeline where the battle of the verdun never happened because i'm on the italian front!
20a: maybe nobody goes to giddy park because it's an active motherfucking warzone? just a thought...
20b: the poster probably had no humans because the artists didn't want to make tiny human models that take up 1% of a poster that 98% of people will never pay attention to.
21a: that's just a screen to make a 3d illusion for the players because, like the poster. why would you model an entire living room if 98% of players walk by without a care? it's just to make the artist's lives easer and put less strain on your computer.
21b: maybe the house are houses are on sale because nobody wants to live in a place being invaded by zombies? just some food for thought...
22: crazy dave kicked you from the game because you were afk and being a detrement to the team by filling up a slot an actually useful player could fill. read the whole message next time.

(bonus time!)23: in gw2 there is a map called frontline flats. the human houses are empty and for sale for the same reason as in neighborville and the zombies houses there are empty and for sale because they were just built a few months or even days ago. infact in the background you can see them building more homes for zombies

Another thing that supports this zomboss and Dave are working together is that in the final battle of plants vs zombies Dave is taken away by zomboss but never gets his brain taken. Zomboss could have taken the brain from Dave but didnt
Canonically Zomboss doesn't even eat brains. iirc part of the zombification involves removing the brain (usually by being eaten by a zombie) and Zomboss clearly still has his brain fully intact.

Ya and then the next game he’s back like nothing ever happened but acts just slightly weirder before he gets kidnapped by the zombie they may have “changed” Dave then left in back and most of the plants vs zombie games don’t show humans but we only see one hiding in a house but the ONLY one hiding in a house and the news paper in the recent game theirs a scene where the news papers say “zombies detained” or something but then right after it says “zombies broke free” or something so Dave might have planned to release the zombies just as any humans in that park felt safe which could make them loose their guards and eventually be wiped out so Dave I think might be half zombie half human?

A theory of my own is "Zombie clone theory"
To be entirely honest it's less of a theory and more of an observation.
The main evidence for this theory is that every all-star zombie is number 76 (I think, the exact number doesn't matter) how are they multiple 76s. We know zomboss has very high tech, so it would make sense that he's cloning them. This also explains how every browncoat zombie somehow has the same coat.
Maybe in the final pvz 1 fight when dave gets taken, Zomboss took out his brain and replaced it with a robot one, since Zomboss is good with machines. Also explains his far future slip up, since empeaches are there
Another point is that the Dreadroots as well as Deadwood in weirding woods were made to "protect" the humans, as well as keep the zombies trapped in Z-tech factory, kind of acting like a sort of double mouse trap for Dave. It hits two birds with one stone
The reason he has a pic of brains is because it connects to zomboss stealing brains

this is the same series where dave canonically went back to the 80s to compete in a disco contest to win a pair of golden pants and he sends plants into another dimension to get treasure from gnomes. i doubt popcap cares about what dave’s food source is.

I think that’s just the rendering technique called interior inclusion, it gives the illusion of 3D environment basically using layers rendered on a 2D texture that seem to move depending on ur camera angle
