      That's great! Do you happen to plan on sending any in for grading?

    That's so frustrating. Such crap quality control. I got two sets today. No visual issues.

    I ordered 4 sets reverse proof. Took them all out of casules. Everyone was perfect except 1 peace dollar. It had a very small spot on the cheek which looked like maybe some kind of dried cleaning solution. I have no clue how to even attempt to clean it, so i just left it alone, for now. Very happy overall, but done properly, im sure that spot can be removed. Thanks for posting!

    • @JoshuaAndersonLife

      Nice! Do you plan to grade any? Anything that can't be removed with a 'lens blower' I just leave alone.

    • @LD_Tush
      @LD_Tush 8 месяцев назад

      @JoshuaAndersonLife it looks like dried cleaning solution that would cone off with water or something. It wont "blow" off. I never looked into grading anything (time or money), but i might with 2 or 3 sets and keep 1 set raw. Then again, im not a fan of slabs, but the increase in price is very tempting. I have 5 slabs currently if pre33 gold that was handed down to me. Your thoughts?

      @@LD_TushYou could have it conserved and curated by NGC prior to grading. If it’s something that’s gonna come off that should take care of it. Personally, I think it is VERY important to have nearly every coin submitted for grading to be conserved and curated. Good luck !

      For these I would definitely wait and see what happens with the pricing. I'm not quite sure if they're going to be worth sending in for grading yet.

    I bought one set and my Morgan had some “noise” on the cheek as well. Idk what it is. It sort of looked like grease but no way to try wiping it without making worse. Maybe they are fine scuffs?

    • @JoshuaAndersonLife
      @JoshuaAndersonLife  8 месяцев назад

      Yeah unfortunately there's no way to 'clean or wipe' anything off these without risking making it worse.

    Same thing happened to mine. Lighter than yours. The peace is perfect though. I opened it up but it broke. I had a large plastic enclosure but is loose when I put it in. Oh well. Just put in a box and kick myself for buying from that stinking mint we have in this country.

    • @JoshuaAndersonLife

      Yeah, I still like these but it's certainly not without some frustration! I don't see buying much after these however anyway.

    Send that Morgan back , they need to deliver them with no marks ! QC needs to be shown..

    • @JoshuaAndersonLife
      @JoshuaAndersonLife  8 месяцев назад

      Yeah, I still have to go through the other ones that I got and see which ones are scratched up. If they're pretty bad like this one I'll send them back to the mint.

    I don't think the mintage number you show in your video for the 2021 Morgan Dollar commemorative coins show all the amount. The US Mint minted several versions of the 2021 Morgan Dollar with privy marks including one with no privy mark for Philadelphia, CC, D, O, and S) for a total mintage limit of 175,000 x 5 = 875,000. The Mint actually sold a few thousand less than the mintage limit probably due to returned damaged coins.
    If you decide to return your scratched coin, you have to return the whole 2 coin set. Make sure you claim the return within 7 days of delivery to your address so the US Mint will send you a free return label. You have to call the Mint to get them to email or mail you a return label which can take several days. Don't count on the US Mint replacing the damages ones you send back even if you checked the box on the return form to send you replacements. If they don't have any at the very same time they process your return, they will instead issue you a refund. If you are given the opportunity again, just order replacement in a new order. With US Mint products that will likely sell out, it's best to order more than you actually want because if you are ordering multiples coins/sets, count on something is going to be wrong with at least one of them.
    Tip: If you have placed 3 orders with US Mint within the calendar year (Including subscriptions) AND you have setup an account on the US Mint website AND have the US Mint's mailing list turned on in your account, they will give you free budget shipping on all of your order for the rest of the year. Search for Loyalty Program on the US Mint's web site for further information.

      @JoshuaAndersonLife  8 месяцев назад +1

      Thank you for all that information! Yes for the 2021s I put the mintage only for each mint mark, not all of them together.
      I think there'll be a good market premium on these that are graded 70, what do you think?

    • @zzyzxRDFwy15
      @zzyzxRDFwy15 8 месяцев назад

      @@JoshuaAndersonLife Seems that people love the look of them and the sets sold out quickly. I think the retailers snapped up a lot of the sets. Pinehurst is seslling pre-release set for over double the price Mint's price of $185 ($387) for PCGS 70 graded US flag slabs. I think it is risky for the little people sending in their set for grading. The grading companies needs 69 grade ballast for all the 70 grades they hand out to their favored commercial big volume customers so it might be best to not fight it and buy a set already graded.

    • @JoshuaAndersonLife
      @JoshuaAndersonLife  8 месяцев назад

      Do you think so? If I'm not mistaken I think they minted 200k of the Peace Dollars and 175k of the Morgans, not sure if that'll make a difference in this scenario.
