I set up a subscription for them. They should ship Aug 9th. Day of release. Only 1 coin of each type per sub but that is ok with me.
I just did a video on this comparing to the 2021 reselling experience. History tends to repeat itself and these will always be a hit since Morgans are the #1 collected coin
I went online to the US Mint site and got one of each yesterday. About an hour later a guy called me and was hawking MS 70 os each with a signature for 700 for the pair. I told him to take a hike. It's good to be informed and your channel helps people.
Mine should arrive tomorrow. Hope they are nice. Have a great weekend. Have to mow and trim today.

I pre ordered them all, the 2 unirculated, proofs and the reverse proof set. Didn't get all of them during the initial sale in 2021, only the Peace and Morgan Philly issues and the D-Morgan. The secondary market was way too expensive for them.

Morgan & Peace dollars, I have it set up from the mint for 2 of each.
Was just telling someone the other night in 2021 I picked up a Morgan & Peace dollar from the US Mint's site in mid-December after the dust settled. Possibly from the failed credit card orders. There were no flaws with them or appeared to be someone else's returns. I inspected them well.
My 2 Peace dollars arrived today in Canada, $76 all in each, no taxes, no postage. I'd call them MS70. They were charged on the 12th. The Morgans were billed on the 13th and hopefully will arrive tomorrow. I'm happy.
While these are beautiful coins, they are way too expensive for me. I have all the Peace Dollars. Daniel has helped me complete the set. I'm extremely thankful for this. & Always learning something.

I remember all the doubters with the 2021 releases. They all turned out to be wrong. It was an easy flip, and the value has gone up. Not buying from the Mint would have been a costly mistake in most cases.

Great site: I was going to purchase the Uncirculated but when I saw the coin it had the same satin finish of the 2021. I thought the coin would be a BU brilliant uncirulated. So I passed on it. I'll go for the proof set.
275K mintage for Morgan dollars and 275k mintage for Peace dollars sold out within a couple hours. WOW!!!
You know who bought most of these, and it wasn't the common collectors.

I agree good video on these coins, myself I am getting one of each to add to my collection at issue price from the mints web site. Not getting caught up in the hype like so many do and no I won't be sending them in for grading
I set a subscription for one each but a few of the reverse proof set. It’s best to buy them directly from the US Mint.
they come nearly flawless from the mint. i'll send the best few coins to get graded to try out the experience.
I will say they sold out withing 2 hours of issue, and the minting is very low for this year. In 30 years, these coins in mint state will probably be great collector's items.
Maybe ill resell graded examples to offset my basis cost and let others in on the collecting
Hmm, i called the US Mint 3 hours ago, on July 14th, at 9:30 CST, and they were already out of Morgans, still had some Peace dollars.
Peace dollars are probably my favorite coin. They have been since my Granddad gave me a 1923, (which I still have), when I was somewhere around 10 months to a year old. I have all of the vintage Peace dollars in high grade mint state, with the exception of the 34-S. My 34-S’s are an AU and an XF. I fought very hard for a super stellar ungraded mint state 34-S. I got to well over $1600 with my final bid and got outbid by someone bidding $1825. I would LOVE to know what THAT coin grades at. It looked MS66-MS67 to me. You know the kind of value that could be added to a peace dollar set with a coin like that. Now I’m left with the task of finding another raw 34-S that is as beautiful as the one I came so close to owning…LoL. That’s my ‘one that got away’ story, Daniel…LoL
At $100 each, a reseller will only be turning $18-$20 profit per coin. That’s a 25% mark up. Personally, I buy my coins to keep. I typically buy 3 of each because I have 3 kids and I want there to be three of everything reasonable to have 3 of…LoL. Of course, coins like say an MS67 Isabella quarter are NOT something I intend to buy 3 of…LoL. In situations where it is reasonable to buy 3 I will.

IMHO, if you're looking for a coin/set to flip and make some decent money, then buy the reverse proof set. This is the first time ever, that the Mint has made a reverse proof set of both coins. I'm hoping they don't make a RP set next year. If they don't, theoretically that will make the 2023 set more and more valuable as time goes on. Personally, I don't think the UNC's on both coins will sell for very much, after the dust settles. Just my 2 cents.
$185 for reverse proof the resale price will easily double

I've been waiting for my order since last year. I'm glad the US Mint has finally followed through. I think price went up $4 on the business strikes since the pre order became available. I can't wait for the reverse proofs. Who else believes they should return to the 90% composition? The initial price should be cheaper, not to mention the increased luster. Nothing against the 2021/2023 business strikes but the coin has an absence of luster with the 999 composition.
Maybe you misunderstood. That was not an order, it was just a subscription sign-up for the opportunity to buy when released. They are just out now. And, from what I am hearing the Mint is getting them out very fast. Cheers!

I think the presails for MS70 are worth it because you get a guaranteed MS70. you never know if there's gonna be a bad run and there's not many MS70 qualities. Like the Denver on the 2021 Morgan. They are like 700 bucks or something now Because the run didn't produce many quality coins.
The 2021 Denver is an exception do to quality issues but presale if 2021 silver dollars is much less than they sell for now.

Would you buy PCGS MS 70 versions of these at any time? Personally I would enjoy "perfect" examples of these beautiful coins. I never bought key dates, I would always buy the best example I could afford. In alot of ways for me, the beauty of the coin is the most important part.

Maybe I missed something. According to the page you showed, the coins are to be shipped in August 2023. How can a coin be graded MS 70/PF 70 If not released yet? Does the U.S mint now grade coins or do they send coins off to third party grading service, get them back and then sell them? Again did I miss something here? Or did I just misunderstood the video. Sorry for my ignorance.

I purchased all 4 coins from the 2023 Morgan & Peace Dollar set. I just dont understand how the Mint is pushing these products out the door in such poor condition. Half of my proof Morgans were rattling around inside the box. All sorts of flaws on my proofs and other coins in the set. For $80ea Id expect something more. Shame on the mint yet again.

These are not the same, look at the 2001 Buffaloes, Leaf Ericson and the 2021 Morgan’s, people just don’t want the Buffaloes the stuff as much.

Are the 2021 D Morgan silver dollar really wroth almost $1,400 dollars graded by PCGS at a MS-70?
Nope. PCGS has them listed at $925 but that’s because the Denver mint collection ins had more issues than the others.
How can those t v shows. Guarantee all those great seventies. I don't buy from the tv. Always a little bit high for me but I was just curious. If they got ten thousand orders for grade seventy, how can they guarantee that??
The only people who buy from tv are the fools, un-learned, shut-ins, and the people who don't have internet, people who don't have cars!

Got my 50 today. 25 peace. 25 morgan.
I just received a shipping notice. The mint charged me $76 per coin. I checked EBAY and it's $147.50 for a MS 70 certified first release. I buy directly from the mint and have for over 50 years. That way I know it's genuine. It's up to the consumer. That means the container costs $80. It's a personal choice.

Actually, the 2021 release coins are worth significantly more than what the Mint sold them for.
Yeh just checked the CC today and it was around $230 at the lowest ungraded. And now seeing $250 for ms70
Not sure these 2023 will get that high but would be nice if they did.
The uncirculated 2023 versions sold out after about an hour. I expect the proofs might even sell out faster.

Sadly, the ONLY people that will be truly benefit from these new dollar purchases are the U.S. Mint employees or those who have the connections to for an employee discount, that is if the U.S. Mint does that. That is why I am only sticking to working on a complete set of original run date and mint marks. I never even considered on buying the 2021's when they first came out. The prices for "Orders in Advance" that I see dealers put up on their sites or elsewhere are "mind-boggling"!!
The new issues are just so flat-looking. I may consider the reverse proof, but I have to see it in person. The lack of cartwheel and flat look will likely keep me away.

I'm not sure how long you would need to wait for the price to drop to something other that 100+ per coin... looking at the 2021 complete sets ungraded they are still averaging over 200 per coin. The graded are even more. If I can secure a 70 set for an average 150- ish per coin now... I'm all over it. 400k - 250k mintage ya... I'm not waiting. I have already paid for my pre ordere3d proof and ms sets... eagerly waiting for the rev. proof pre sale. :)

@@CoinHELPu that's what I ordered for just under 300 a set. so 300 for the pf set 300 for the ms set and prob the same for the rev pf when its avail. so all in 900 for the entire 23 set in 70 :) Love ya brother wasn't trying to sound critical.

Get out of the woods! 2021' Morgan and Peace dollars are selling for upwards of $200 per coin. I bought over twenty of those coins and I flipped them for tons of profits on each coin! Even after I had them graded!

Hey community alg food buy silver.
I can NOT believe how LITERALLY DULL these coins are !?!?! The 2021 coins looked almost matte or burnished and are so DULL compared to the vintage originals I can NOT understand how anyone even wanted any ?!?!? After LOTS of people complained about that same issue , as well as several quality control issues , I at least thought this year's offerings would have been improved...BUT THEY ARE NOT...STILL DULL , DULL , DULL....WOW - the quality of these coins is CRAP !!!!! I say this as someone that WANTED to like these coins since I'm such a fan of both of the originals...but the mint literally RUINED these two issues...no way I'll be buying any...they're ugly !!!

The video is just a warning to not buy them from after market on presale because those prices will come down.
