- The 911 has been the epitome of performance from Porsche. This Carrera 4S takes it to the next level. On the outside you will find a fully blacked out look, optional multi-spoke wheels, and active rear wing. On the inside you will be greeted to leather seats, perfect gauge layout and tons of room. Looks incredible, had never seen an all black 911. Usually people go crazy on colour combinations. Lol was that a mono chromatic crest on the wheels? Joe is that an option? Mainly asking if it's possible for the hood crest as well.

I've owned several air-cooled 911's but this 4S sounds like it fixed the most glaring 911 flaw of excessive rear weight bias. On my 993 cab I used to fill up the tank at half full to maintain some front end balance...one wintery day I entered my icy driveway at moderate speeds and did a 180 faster than Xiden can change his opinion, luckily without hitting a thing. Drove a 962 with 4-wheel drive and it had a much better balance.
The NSX is the best looking of the three, but I’d rather drive the 911. Thanks for the ride Joe! Well done Lori!! 👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸

@footballcoreano I've driven both and own the NSX and I'm also getting this. You are an idiot to say those things about the NSX. Look at all the reviews and you won't find a negative review about the NSX, except the infotainment system. I don't believe you have driven one and hope you are joking
LOVE IT! Joe, back during WW II Germany used to make the best kids mechanical toys. I guess that's why Porches are made so well, as you say well balanced car. Haven't forgotten you Lori, great job you sure made the Porche look good. 😎👫👍
That lucky guy walking heard the takeoff for sure! The 4S is super sneaky fast. It beats a lot of cars that are more $ and have more HP because of the weight, AWD, and awesome PDK transmission.
I think the C8 Corvette is more impressive than the (992) 911 Series. The ZO6 is coming and it will be around 85K$ with a ~650 HP N/A 6.3L V8. We know how fast the Z51 Stingray is so im willing to say that for 30K$ less, the ZO6 will be able to match the 911 Carrera S in performance

I own the 4s with chrono and etuned. Its milliseconds close to the turbo s and the handling is insane!!
This is a beautiful iconic car but the R8 with that naturally aspirated V10 engine is something else
I have a 2019 C7 Grand Sport and it's very balanced. This seems to be that much better! Got me thinking.

This review is interesting because this specific car is missing some pretty major options, such as sport chrono, which adds dynamic engine mounts to the car, I am curious if it is also missing rear wheel steering and PDCC, all of which greatly change how the car drives.

I would go C8 Z06 vs these mentioned simply because I prefer naturally aspirated engines.
If I could have just one porsche,the only four I would consider are 992 GT3,991.2 GT3RS,CARRERA GT,918

Joe is a TRUE car guy! HE cried when he was in that 911 T, I would too.
My 997.2 'naturally aspirated' 3.8L C2S PDK w/ turbo wheels feels exactly the same, only the engine sound is all more throatier, and the exhaust sounds menacing. No turbos needed.
Yeah but modern emission regulations need turbos to keep the co2 levels down
So.... is this a car you'd even consider trading in both the Camaro and GT-350R? Compared to an original, how has the driving evolved? I could imagine the sweet ride this car is.That being said comparing to the other sports cars if we're talking about owning one of these cars i would go with the NSX.When it comes to reliablilty you can't go wrong with Honda.Now Leasing would be different.

I have the almost exact model except I got the sports Chrono package but I wouldn't trade it for either of those other cars you mentioned. It's a dead-mans car.

Great review Joe!!! Lori you are the BEST!!! Such awesome camera coverage!!! Joe I currently have a 911 Turbo S (991.2 2019). It is my 17th Porsche. There is no substitute!!! I have driven the R8 many times and the Acura NSX, both on the track. I pick the Porsche every time. Porsches are super reliable!!! Never had a significant problem since 1982. They have mastered the sitting position and visual lookout from the cockpit. As a fighter pilot I want fingertip clues and performance and Porsche brings that into the cabin just like my fighter jet, (F-16). The engine placement on the 911 has moved forward since the 996 model over 5 inches enhancing turn-in and the ability to power out of the turn from your apex. A huge improvement over past older 911 cars.
Lastly in 2018 I survived a head-on collision with a dually pickup Silverado 3500 that hit me going 78 mph while I was doing 30 mph. The guy in the truck was running from the police. The steering wheel airbag, leg airbag & side door airbag saved my life. I was in a 2016 Porsche 911 GTS Cabriolet. Had to get cut-out by the firemen. Broke my legs, back and neck and some ribs but I am recovered after 7 surgeries and 3 years. I would have been killed in my Corvette. Porsche there is no substitute!!!
