Just ran across this system in the last few days. Tried to hit a few plastic balls in the back yard using it. Seems like it requires more flexibility-which is hard for us (seniors). Maybe have to reduce backswing to make it work???
Diego hey Diego this system is very easy for seniors. Make a 45 degree shoulder turn and let your hips turn back that makes 90 degree shoulder turn. You do not have to go all the way back!
Please provide swing thoughts for starting the backswing and downswing. Your mantra “ down and in” dramatically improved my ball striking the first time I tried it like magic. But subsequently I think improper sequencing crept into my stack and tilt causing low bladed shots off to the right. I am right handed golfer.
I’ve been taking lessons with a coach who teaches stack and tilt. Great method. Your simple concept of pointing the chest to the sky is brilliant! I’m 66 and a beginner. This is helping me lay a strong foundation for my swing.
Unbelievable I was just discussing buttons to the sky with my coach today and this video pops up. I've been using stack and tilt for several months now and it has been transformative. However he and I talked many times in the beginning about buttons to the sky in backswing but somehow probably thru my own fault not listening on the thoughswing and finish. For me this created a great backswing and at times terrible downswing and finish (head getting way out front). So today we discussed mirror images.. buttons to the sky on backswing and buttons to the sky on finish. Long winded comment but I was excited to see this video after my lessons today. Thank you for the great video.
Like to hear you talk about position of the ball. Other S&T people talk about moving the ball back on say a sandwich and then forward a couple of balls on long irons/rescues. Love your light beam to the ball, plus the shoulder tilt …. Rick Smith told me to emulate skipping a stone on the water that feel caused me to use my right arm as a fulcrum and extend through the ball exact same thing you’re talking about just expressed in a different way - - I’ve use the Skippingstone analogy several times over the years. Thank you ….
Whilst I have seen many videos dealing with swaying, this is the first I have seen that deals with your head swaying (the head movement demonstrated early in the video is me!). I have been trying to get my weight forward and drop as opposed to slide the left shoulder but I couldn’t find a feel that worked. The shirt button / light been concept creates for me a completely new feel. Something that I might have had 20 years ago (I am 60). Thanks for a unique tip!
Another great video for seniors. I'm a 75 year old Marine Corps veteran and I'm trying to play golf with my 36 year old son who's a phenomenal golfer and follows the S&T methodology. I watched your first video for senior golfers as well as this one and I have one suggestion. You refer to the process as "extend and tilt" several times and I think it would be better to refer to it as "tilt and extend" since that is the proper sequence as I understand it. I guess (no I don't) I know I'm influenced by the fact that I'm a classic "early extender" and it has driven me nuts for several years. I've learned that extend is not a bad word when used in proper context but it ranks right up there with the sh__k word for me. LOL
Hey Jack! Thank you for writing. The 3 dimensional movement is a combination of extension tilt and turn. Some people need more tilt than others. That's what's great about ST. It's a system.
Thanks Jess for your instructive and enthutiastic videos. A week ago I had a frustrating round of golf at my homecourse with the store of 100. I decided to have look on RUclips to see ifrån I could do som changes in my swing. Luckily I found your videos and started testing your swingideas and almost emidiatly I was hitting the ball solid. Yesterday my store was 80!!!!!
Good point on maintaining the shoulder tilt on the downswing.... I've heard the left shoulder points to the ball on the backswing and right shoulder has to come through pointing at the ball on the downswing.
Thanks Jess, after your explanation, I know when I hit a solid shot that is exactly what I am doing, now that I know what to do, let's see if I can do it on the range and course this weekend!
Hey Tony thank you very much! It’s such a great system to play golf. I believe as a mature golfer we all can use it to play better and have more fun:))
This, and Part One, were both excellent videos, Jess. I"m now a subscriber, and your channel is a good adjunct to Bender et al's book. Thanks. (BTW, the chipping video was great, too!)
Hi Jess, excellet video on stack & tilt. I notice divot size is same on all strikes, however it shows start of divot before the ball and before striking the ball ? How does that effect. I did the same on matt and hurt my elbow and left thumb unless it’s different on grass. I’ve been under the impression divot should start after striking the ball ?
I have been struggling to extend arms and keep elbow straight after striking the ball, and have not aucceeded. Mostly end up with chicken wing. Back swing also has left elbow slightly bent Inspite of consciuosly working to keep it straight. Any shggestion ?
As a senior golfer I enjoyed parts 1 and 2. Any modifications for those who have gained some weight and perhaps barrel chested?? Asking for a friend...😉
Great video, Jess. I’m currently also working on more depth to my swing. I wish I had your depth! But I’ll get there! Any tips in forthcoming videos would be greatly appreciated!...Martin
I will do a video on power to show you how to get depth. The more you keep the weight forward the easier it is to create depth for sure. There are some little nuances that can help you. Thanks again for watching and subscribing!
This actually alleviates back pain! I have had back pain for 20 years and now when i hit balls of play golf my pain actually decreases because the body is working properly:) Hope this helps!
Did you like my video! Thank you for watching:) Please subscribe and turn on your notifications to receive weekly videos to help you play your best:))

Thanks Jesse👍Love your “ 1 Minute Tips”. You and Tom Saguto great at hitting key points
Thank you!! Tom is awesome! Thank you for watching!
i like your discriptions of extending
Thank you!
Another great video Jess thanks!
Thank you Darren!

Good video but have problem with keeping left arm straight and “ extended” due to having left shoulder replacement
Don’t need to keep the left arm perfectly straight:))
Thank you for your swing tips
My pleasure thank you!!

Awesome great to hear!!!
Another great video.
Thank you sir!
Great swing thoughts
Thank you!!!
You explain the skills well and make it easier for a senior or anyone to understand.
Thank you Marge!!!! Appreciate it!!!

Yes sir Wayne! Buttons to the sky on both sides of the swing can produce tremendous results! Thank you for watching and subscribing!!
One of the best S&T explanations ever! Thanks.
Thank you Pat!!
I got a lot more clarity from part 2. Thanks, Jess!
Welcome sir!

Thank you Billy appreciate your comments :) glad you are enjoying the videos
Awesome video just what I needed to see
Thank you Bob!

That’s awesome Robert let me know how it goes and Happy New Year!!
Superb jess can't believe your divots everyone the same size and in front of the ball been trying to do that for years 👍🏻👍🏻🏌️🏌️
Yes sir! The divots and ball striking become simple using this system. Ball first becomes easy when you understand the true fundamentals:)

That's one way to think about the shoulder tilt. Shoulder down and under the chin is another.:)
Thanks Jess, after your explanation, I know when I hit a solid shot that is exactly what I am doing, now that I know what to do, let's see if I can do it on the range and course this weekend!
Awesome Patrick let me know!
Hi Frank ; i am enjoying your videos .and hopefully after Corona i can come and visit you.
Kind regres Erik . From the netherlands.
Hello Erik! Thanks for commenting and watching the video:)) would love for you to visit let me know!
Excellent explanation and demo of these ST fundamentals for us oldies - appreciate your work Jess

@@pksang9438 so you have to have a couple of things happening in your swing to get your arms straight I do online lessons :)
As a senior golfer I enjoyed parts 1 and 2.

Of course! Just followed the arc and turn your hips and shoulders In a tilted circle:)

Any chance a vid on uphill downhill side hill
Good idea Al!
I would welcome a video on the transition.
Extending the chest thru on the downswing.....same as pulling the left shoulder back?
Yes sir Steven! Extending tilting turning
does the weight transfer to the rear foot on the backswing. Ed
Hey Ed! The weight does not transfer of shift. The extending of the trail leg puts pressure into your trail foot while remaining centered.
The 'light beam' doesn't point to the sky in the backswing as demo'd by your swing - its parallel to the ground
I think it's the feeling that it is pointing towards the sky that counts.
Does this have any adverse effects on the back. I suffer from lower back pain
This actually alleviates back pain! I have had back pain for 20 years and now when i hit balls of play golf my pain actually decreases because the body is working properly:) Hope this helps!
I was told I could view a 30 minute free video. All I got was an advertisement for a $65 evaluation. It’s probably worth it. But where is the video?
Hey Rick I am experiencing technical difficulties with the email but you can get all the videos on my you tube channel :) thanks!
Senior players cant point the "light beam" to the sky. They are SENIORS
lol of course they can I have done it 100’s of times with them
