You and Saguto are both great at explaining the golf swing. I am 57 and still physically fit and now I can crush a golf ball better than I did in my 30s when I first started playing. I hit one 340 on a par 5 in cool weather the other day
Awesome Troy I love Tom as well! Love the distance!!!

This is a great way of showing a way of mastering the downswing Jess, I'll be practicing this when I next go down to the range.
Great Mike thank you!!
Thanks Jess.
You’re very welcome!!!!!
Excellent stuff. The left tilt right tilt is gold. When I do this properly it’s as if someone else hit the shot!!
Combine that with whip crack… wonderful.

Awesome Mike!
Thanks so much Jess....this video is exactly what i needed...i tend to hit the ball sccross my body to way left!!!🙏
Awesome thank you so
Much for watching!
I’ve been watching tom saguto and enjoyed his tips . Just discovered your channel and think it’s great . I’m 65 and my distance is lacking . I noticed that when I do your swing correctly I have more height and better shots . With the driver I have to play the ball too far up to get a proper launch angle but I am going to try tilting back more on the downswing to see if I can hit a draw. I’m not a slicer more of a straight ball hitter but hit it too low . I’m a practicer and will work on your tips . Many thanks!
You got it my pleasure I online lessons if you need help
This is a great video for seniors.
Thank you Rich!
Nice video Jess. I can't wait to try out the bowling drill

Good lesson thanks
Thank you!
Great lesson Jess ,had both knees replaced 8 weeks ago and looking forward to playing golf with these thoughts in a couple of months. From Australia Tom Mc
Awesome Tom let me know!
Best explanation yet I have been turning my shoulders as you show ,I will know swing my arms down while back and right hip is staying back ,p4 to p2 exercise as mac Ogrady was doing you have explained so much better ,so that I know realise what he was trying to convey .Will try it all today many thanks from New Zealand.Maybe look at that left hip sliding forward so left knee over left foot as well (not turning left hip ).
Awesome Garry let me know!
The bowler drill reminds me of Greg Norman’s right foot slide. I appreciate the videos!
Hey Bill you are very astute:) Thank you so much for watching:)
Jess deserves our respect for offering and revealing the untold secret of golfing skills. Many thanks to Jess! 🙏👍🎯💯🎉🏌️
I appreciate it sir. Thank you for watching and subscribing!
Very good Jess. I’ve actually been working on this. That is keeping my back to the target longer. I have very fast hips, doing exactly what you stated. My feel is that I’m hitting against my left side at contact, creating the whip you refer too. This should be helpful to many golfers, including those of us that are more experienced. I hit the ball more solid and a lot farther by doing this. I’ve even suggested some of those I see on the range to try this… My motto has always been: What we share increases, and what we withhold diminishes…
Awesome Ron! Thank you for watching!
Thank you Jess for this awesome tip, I have been struggling to hit any distance, I am 67 on a 25.6 handicap. I will definitely try this out on the range.
Best regards and happy golfing,
Marilyn.
Fantastic Marilyn!
Let me know how it goes!

Thank you Martin!
Hi Jess, I watched you with Tom Saguto and really enjoyed your instruction. I look forward to watching your videos too!
Mark
Thank you Mark!!!
Awesome video
Thank you Bob! Appreciate it!!
I cannot wait to try this -- I have to admit I have had real issues with consistency and loosing the ball to the right with stack and tilt - I thought it was my down swing but didnt know why I was leaving my club face wide open - I thought maybe to much weight on the front foot or I was transferring weight to the back foot and not realizing it
Ok awesome Kelly!
Thank you 🙏
You are very welcome thank you for watching!
Funnily, I am in a seniors bowling league and there are quite a few golfers in the league. I shall point out this interesting tip to them. Thanks'
Thank you Rod! Please share this with all the bowlers! Golf and bowling to hit a draw and hit it far!
I already have the 40 + pounds so i am halfway there !
Thanks Norman!
I tried the bowler’s drill with an iron shot and it really worked well.
Awesome Ken!!! Thanks for letting me know!!
Thanks for the key
No problem! Charles thank you !
Also have a orange whip which feels fantastic but you don’t know where the ball would go but the feeling of the the left leg straightening as the arms swing down or the arms swing down as the left leg straightens appears to be a feeling worth following up.
Absolutley! Sounds good!
This is really great. For left tilt, right tilt is the such a thing as too much right tilt? I’m definitely going to try the bowler drill too…
Awesome!!!
Really like your golf lesson. You explain well. It so confusing when I stand over the ball. I've got the left shoulder down working to start swing. Now I need to get the right shoulder correct. I'll try the bowling drill tomorrow. May be the piece I'm missing.
Ok Rodney sounds good let me know!
Just watched again p4 to p2 and p7 Exercise is my new practise swing.pease explain the extension again.
Hey Garry I do online Lessons if you need in depth help:)
Well done frank., the catapult helps.
Awesome Gary!
Anxious to inject the catapult effect. Drifted back to the Sr. move-turn and turn. I know these tips will be huge. Get back that lost yardage when I turned 70.
Thanks
Yes sir! Let me know!
Thank you for this tip Jess, huge-huge help. I have a question in regard to improving one's balance through the golf swing specifically with the hips/pelvis. When involving the core muscles in the swing, I notice some tendency for the hips to stiffen because of the involvement of the muscles above (core) and below (legs) it. When this happens (stiffening of the hip muscles), it somehow throws me off my balance (or it could be something else affecting it) in my effort to hold it after my follow through. I tried to exert a conscious to relax my hips and it kind of helped maintain balance but it's sure is a challenge to keep doing it because I have not heard/watched any article/video that support it.
Thank you Bob!
Pls comment on Steve Pratt and Brad Hughes teaching named "out is down ".This is about the unwinding of the arms in the downswing and the clearance between the left arm and the body. Thx.
I am not familiar with Steve Pratt but know Bradley Hughes. Hughes also recommends not pinning your left arm against your chest. I like BH!
@@JessFrankGolfAcademyBocaRaton Steve Pratt isa great supporter and fan of Mike Austin
Like your demo s for younger seniors (upto 69) I m in my 75th year. R there some changes u could give the older seniors like me. 55yrs of golf so far. The older I get the worse I get' Hate to think what I be at 80
Hey George I am about to come
Out with a series of senior golfer videos thank you!
Thanks for excellent videos. I am learning to keep my hands in (trying to feel as if I am holding a golf tee in each armpit as described in Bennett and Plummer's book). I get more power, but found my swing has gradually become quite flat. YOUR swing looks so fluid...almost as if at top of backswing (P4), your arms lift off. Do you have a video that addresses that?
All my video are about extending tilting and turning which gives the rise to the handle
Of the club. Hope this helps Ron thank you for watching!
Great video Jess.
Wouldn’t the flamingo drill be good for this?
It seems pretty similar to the bowler drill?
Hey Shaun great observation but flamingo and bowler are a little different but could accomplish the same objectives:)
If you could do a slow motion speed so we could better look at the sequence of the power swing I think I would find that helpful. Thanks
Ok that’s a great idea!
only just found you but will be back for sure,,,, Age 76
Awesome thank you!!!
Jess sorry did not work just seen both Mac and Robert rock swing together man what beautiful rhythmic swings.also Garry McCord explain the right shoulder going down causes the left hip to go 4 inches to the left to start the downswing then you turn as fast as you can ,I think I am so far down the rabbit whole I cannot get out,the annoying thing is I know it works but cannot do it repeatedly I need an exercise to practise just the transition when I get out of whack any thoughts much appreciated,Love your content.
Thank you Garry!
Jess. Do you still keep the hands forward with club head lag with the driver too?
Compared to Mike Austin teaching
What’s your comment Jess
I have tried s&t and had to move back to the Austin because of
Screws in my left ankle . Reading the Bennett and Plummer book.
Looks like Austin & s&t are ready similar except more weight on the right leg. In the backswing
The tilting and extending puts the weight in the rear heel on the backswing.
This is so averse to what modern instructors are teaching. They teach to sit and spin the hips. The new style swing as they are teaching has really screwed up my swing as a senior player. I went from shooting in the 70's to hardly able to break 100 trying the new swing. Thanks for this video, it should give me the confidence to go back to my old swing and start playing better again.....
Yes sir Ken! Sit and spin creates slicing. Adam Scott went down that road too and quickly changed back to his regular swing :)
Do you have any more videos on the tilt effect? (Left tilt Right tilt)
100 tilt videos on my site. I also have a paid subscription site on Airwayz.com. Just type in my name it's $5 per month.
Are you teaching a version of the “Stack and Tilt” swing?
Hey Bill I am an authorized ST Instructor:)
Left tilt right tilt works you can’t help but come at the ball from the inside.
Yes sir Steve!
With the bowler drill, wouldn’t the club face face be open as it strikes the ball?
Square
Sorry I just don't get your bowler drill. It seems to go against all other golf training of the lower body starts/leads/pulls the swing until the release. I watched the drill, then I watched your full swing from straight-up. During your straight-up shot it looks like your hips/core/belt buckle start and lead your swing. I'm just not seeing any bowling action in your full swing. However I loved and plan drill myself with the tilt move. I see how this can add distance and stability. Love your videos.
Thank you Dennis! Yes the bowler drill is for people who spin their hips and weight goes backward. There is also a braking mechanism with the legs so the arms can sling by which creates speed :)
Hi Jess, John here I'm confused by you talking about turning your hands at impact. I view another stack and tilt instructor and he says to never turn your hands over. Am I confusing two different hand motions? Thank you, I enjoy your videos.
Thank you John! There is a slight swivel of the lead arm to help square the face. Most golfers leave the face open. You need a turning clockwise screwdriver effect with the lead arm and hand. This helps
Good stuff, all the pros men and women I've seen turn their hips
Thank you Paul! Yes they do!
There's a big difference between turning the hips and spinning the hips! Spinning is BAD. Just do the drills until you understand the difference in feels.
I tried the bowler drilla the range today, I actually gained 10 mph and 20 yards. I know this because I have a PRGR.I’m a senior golfer, I can’t get to P4, would love help with that. Thanks Jess for the great videos!
My pleasure Bruce that’s great to hear!!! P3.5 is always good too!
Is it the same for the irons?
Yes sir!
Are the moves the same for seniors if your restricted on the turn
No restriction on the turn
Simular effect with «tuck hips»?
Yes sir!
You say left tilt right tilt, but it looks like left tilt and turn, right tilt and turn?
Definitely a combination extending tilting and turning :)
can I see a video on how you hit your fade.
Yes will do!
Would love more speed, about 95 to 100 right now, would love 10 more.
Hey James try the step drill!
Jess I have trouble coming from the inside. Any advice?
Hey Randy! Yes sir put all of your weight on your left leg close your stance keep the handle forward with the face closed to the shaft and hit mini shots. This should do the trick ! Thanks!
Is it the same for the driver?
Greg Norman hit it in this manner
At the 8:00 minute mark it looks like there is considerable weight on your right foot.
There maybe be pressure in my right foot but there is no weight:) there’s a difference.
Ok. I think that means you are pushing off to generate clubhead speed. Is that right? Helpful video. Thanks.
@@joeknight8263 yes the knees changing flex allows that to happen
Add a few slow motions on your swings. Seniors can't watch too fast. THX
You got it Rich thanks for watching!
@@JessFrankGolfAcademyBocaRaton I watched this videos and a few videos of yours. I applied the tips on the course yesterday when I played. The drives were solid, straight and farther. I just didn't get the distances on the irons I used to get. I'll work it out on the range before the next round. Thank you Frank.
Is your head moving excessily?
No sir!
I’m trying, it’s hard to remember everything.
Awesome Bobby! If you need help here’s my online lesson program! www.jessfrankgolf.com/virtual-lessons-lp/
where is weight at setup with the driver?
The weight is forward forward and more forward. At address its 60-40 at finish 95-5
Good info for older seniors but the modern swing has the shoulders and hips open at impact so that you can go through the ball with as much power as you can generate.
Hey Robert. It’s not good to open early during the downswing it’s the cause of cutting across the ball and slicing for a lot of players. Do it with caution.
@@JessFrankGolfAcademyBocaRaton I know what you mean but in my swing I drop my arms and the club as I open my shoulders and as such I can come from the inside and swing as hard as I can. Cheers
@@Robert-ts2ef if it works then go for it :)
PGA pros have not released the club yet at impact. Their rists are still cocked.
The trail wrist is bent and the front wrist is flat at impact.
@@JessFrankGolfAcademyBocaRaton ok makes senses, but thought some of them are actually sort of cupping the front wrist. They look curved in videos, but it' hard to catch the exact position...almost like that drill where you put your bag in front of your stance and you move your front arm forward and touch the bag with the back of your hand and wrist. But i could be totally off...i just know I don't think I'm maintaining that angle and lag well enough.
This one little to complicated for 83 year old!
Been enjoying your training but this is too complicated 🙁
Seniors shouldn't be using a driver & be worrying about gaining speed. This is the worst advice senior golfers get from RUclips "pros." Most aren't capable of gaining much speed due to loss of flexibility from age & they shouldn't be trying to do so. They should be concentrating on hitting shorter shots from the fairway rather than wasting shots from the trees or in the rough they don't have the physical strength to escape. It's called course management & playing within yourself. I'm willing to bet that any reasonably experienced senior, assuming they have a decent short game & are decent putters, meaning very few 3 putts, can score 10 shots better per round by NOT using a driver & being concerned about distance. I really hope the seniors out there will at least try this method to see if it works for them. If not, they can always go back to bash & look for it golf.
Hey Mike I agree golfers of all ages should learn to hit the ball more solid and manage their games better. But you can add speed to your game at any age and do it efficiently and correctly. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Not
Thanks for watching!
gibberish, i think.
Hey Francis! Thanks for taking the time to watch my videos! Have a great day!
