- Victims’ families get their final say in court prior to the sentencing of the Parkland school shooter. The statements follow a nearly three-month trial, after which a jury of seven men and five women could not unanimously agree on the death penalty for the convicted killer, resulting in a life sentence.
I have watched many videos of the parents statements and note that in each one, the sociopath just sits there like he's bored. I hope he gets the prison justice that one parent remarked.
I'm bored by reading dumb comments from these ignorant sheep who believe that this is a real trial. This is just judicial theater for gullible idiots who
believe these sh00tings are real.
He is so drugged up, to even show any remorse. I hope they take all his anxiety meds away and put him in general population at the prison.

Not suggesting it makes it right (please don't misunderstand) but there a possibility he lawyers told him to more or less just sit like a bump on a log during this. That's not to say he's otherwise remorseful. Because I'm more than certain he couldn't be any less remorseful anyway. Just pointing out his lawyers may have advised him on that. Which at this stage doesn't make much sense they would advise him on much of anything right about now anyway. It's not like they can focus on possible appeals. That usually goes away upon a guilty plea anyway. About the only thing he could even think about doing is putting in for a sentence reduction. But due to the sentences he got being mandatory anyway, I don't see how that would be of much use. Even IF they wanted to do any type reduction on those sentences, they couldn't do it.

I am saddened that people have to post comments here about the fashion tastes of the speaker in this video, when she is speaking for her daughter, a survivor, about a horrible tragedy that took many lives and forever changed the lives of those that survived. Pathetic.

So sorry for the pain and sadness you must all be dealing with . Prayers to all of you ✝️ . I think if the defense and the jurors could have heard all of the victim statements and seen how the killer has no remorse they would have come back with a different verdict.

For those who are clowning on the glasses, she requires a special lens for the right eye. You see this with stroke patients or patients who have optic never damage due to diabetes or shingles. Her optic nerve has lost its ability to focus the lens so she needs everything amplified. Biology folks, not fashion. I think she looks regal and classy.
I thought her lenses were the same. It’s merely a choice of frame. Regardless of that, people commenting on speakers dress sense and eyewear seems a tad ridiculous considering the seriousness of the situation (my statement ISN’T aimed at you)
The are actually called Asymmetrical mismatched frames. Nothing to do with her lenses, you can buy frames like that from anywhere and have your own lens put in, even if lens strength is different for each eye

I must say it’s a sad state of affairs when supposed “empathetic” people comment on here about her designer glasses, which might I add have nothing to do with any eye condition, it’s the lenses that correct the eyesight, not the frames. These frames can be bought from anywhere, then you have your personal strength lens put in 🤦🏽♀️. This beautiful Mama has gone to hell & back. There are much more serious topics to reply about than her chosen eye frames. Bless her. All the parents are pure solicited, they’ve had to be. Especially when the judicial system fails them at every turn
There is no remorse on his side. He sit there with so much joy in him that he has successfully done his wish because he know now how many people he did hurt. That was his wish! The worst thing is for him to know all this

in my opinion the jurors failed the victims. no juror should compromised their decision , It should had been Hang Verdict. I served in several cases, there should be no compromise in the jury room after a debate. Hung Jury 👍

These parents had to relive the death of their own children day after day. I cannot fathom the pain that these strong individuals must have felt when the doctors took the stand to detail the reports of the autopsies. Detail after sickening detail. Day in, day out. The defense’s team went out of their way to be disrespectful at every turn, all while families were forced to sit in their grief, disgust and rage. This verdict was dragged on and on. All for this result? What a slap in the face. The jurors should be ashamed of themselves. The lack of justice that they all feel must add to the trauma.

Unfortunately, the references to, always being what seems to her and sounds to others, as too extreme. That she now has to feel always hypervigilant. Yet, in the ever, more, increasingly, violent, world we live in. That is exactly what everyone needs to teach themselves as their now normal way of survival living. Anything else is failing. Scan everywhere you go. Always looking for an alternative, emergency exit. Learn warning signs of body language that precludes violence. Whether it is one or a group of individuals. Some types dress, walk, talk in certain ways that give clues to their potential level of danger. Or are too silent for the occasion. Learn to sense changes in sound around you. Approaching sound. Lack of sound. Types of sound. Movement. Subtle changes in temperature. That hair that raises on the back of your neck. Learn to recognise possible signs that someone has a concealed gun or other weapons. Where are their hands. Are they tense for no apparent reason. Eyes scanning you, others, sizing up the situation and surroundings. Learn to automatically recognise any potential weapons around you to protect yourself from harm before anything ever happens. Reference everything all around you. Even though it was always safe every other time you were there. You have multiple senses that you need to cultivate to their highest potential. Some you may be unaware at this time that you possess. Teach yourself that your fear is not your enemy. If you recognise that it floods you with very powerful levels of adrenaline. That is unusual power that can be turned against the threat or help you escape. Or a combination of both. The perpetrator may have some level of adrenaline with just the excitement he feels with the employment of his assault. But he will not have the higher level that fear gives to the threatened individual. That gives you a higher capability of powerful strength. Teaching yourself to practice everywhere and observing everything. Even though it may seem extreme or paranoid. Will, with enough practice, become second nature. Eventually, automatic response. You must become Uncontrollable without showing on the outside until the moment you need it. Because control is what they seek. Practice using your imagination to do the most unexpected things that they would never think of. They think you are prey. You must learn to not be. You must out think the possible danger that hasn't taken place yet. Whether it's tomorrow, next week, six months five years from now. The percentage that you will be harmed is becoming greater as time advances.

Isn’t life in prison a better sentence ? Death is quick and easy. 60 + years of misery is a much harsher punishment.
@@SashaJane05 It probably is, but it takes an average of 20 years to give them the needle. So with a death sentence they get 20 years of prison, & then have the ending to look forward to! :-)
@@terryballard4674 I like the idea of nothing to look forward to. Death is too easy. Even 20 years later its something to look forward to. Plus, life w/o parole puts an end of the courtroom drama for the families. They will never have to go thru this nightmare again but with the Death Sentence they would.

Don't worry dear parents: your voices and your grieves are heard and shared worldwide. I hope that the Lord have mercy on all the survivors, their parents and the victims, who hopefully can rest in peace now. So many tears came out of me watching all available filmed material according to the history of monster Cruz and the court sessions. Justice will be done sooner or later by 'prison justice'. I wanna remind you on the fate of mass killer Jefferey Dahmer who also received a lifelong sentence and who was killed by a associated cellmate later on while spending the rest of his sick life in jail.
