    • @SheenaRM
      @SheenaRM 2 года назад +6

@Craig M No. The two are VERY different. If you just eat fewer calories throughout the day, you will still NEVER see the benefits of fasting.
You can eat 1500 calories a day at 300 lbs and see a huge difference in your body when comparing fasting vs just a calorie deficit. Eating 3-6 small meals at 1500 calories doesn't give you enough time to fast. If you fast you would be eating that 1500 calories within a 1-8 hour window and be in a fasted state the remaining 16-23 hours. Giving your body a heck of a lot more time to not be digesting food but to heal itself and burn fat.
But if you just eat 1500 calories throughout the day as the normal American eats you never truely go into a long enough fast to see the benefits. 8 hours while you sleep is NOT enough....I would even go as far as to say that nothing is really good enough at less than 16 hours of fasting. So again.....NO.....sleep is NOT enough of a fast. 16 - 72hrs and up, is a beneficial fast.

That second one hits home. My wife developed that belly. She was a slim woman. She had a blood transfusion due to septicemia before AIDS when blood wasn't screened as much. She got hep C, which shows no symptoms. When her belly first showed, 30 years later, we went to a doc. Less than two months later she was dead from liver cancer. Get tested, people. She could have been saved if she had just had simple tests.

Yes but he isnt entirely 100% correct. I have a male friend with a large beer belly but his liver is functioning well somehow. Also I supposedly am supposed to have tons of visceral fat according to this video, I have very little-I know, I've had numerous MRIs around there for years.
It is always best to try to seek multiple doctors if you have concerns, 2cd opinions don't hurt but they can save lives. (I'd be dead if I had listened to 1st opinions a few times now actually.)

I am not an alcoholic, but was drinking very regularly, I have this sagging belly and seem to bloat everytime I eat. I’m 5 weeks sober I’m fasting and eating almost zero carbs plus lifting weight. My starting weight was 227ibs I’m now down to 217ibs. It’s a very slow process, but the weight is starting to fall. Thankfully I’m 6`2” and big boned so carrying 22ibs of extra weight is easily hidden, but this nasty fat has to go.
It’s sad that at 47 I’ve only just woken up and made this change, but with these great videos and some lifestyle changes progress is being made. My one saving grace in all this, I don’t like sweets, candy, cake or chocolate. I’ve never drank soda and hate fast food. So dietary changes have been really easy. I feel for people that like these kinds of foods, giving them up must be tough.

Even if you look like you're an any category unless a doctor confirms you might actually be OK internally. I have a good amount of belly fat but very little visceral/internal fat. This might be due to my hormone issues vs unhealthy lifestyle thou so it is a symptom of something wrong and has been since childhood.
But I also have a male friend who science says his liver is prolly fatty and not working well-but somehow his liver is FINE, it's not even stressed despite his severe obesity and it amazes me. Didn't believe it till I read the lab work.

The only way youll see results is a calorie deficite. While some diets are healthier for you, at the end of the day in order to burn fat anywhere on your body needs to consume less calories than it needs to maintain itself. Good work on the resistance training. I’d focus more on that as it has the added benefit of building muscle which leads to less fat, more strength, etc. of course keep your protein intake high as to maximize that muscle growth while in a deficite you’d want to have more protein in your meals

Please discuss the coffee (caffeine) = high cortisol connection. I had been on Keto for a while and was not seeing the results I wanted. I heard about this: Coffee = Caffeine = High Cortisol = High Insulin - Insulin resistance. I stopped all caffeine! Today is day 100 and I have lost 45 lbs and over 22 inches overall. This was a game changer for me.i do exercise. I don't have any sagging skin left behind. My lab tests all were very good. Cholesterol down 15 points.

Dr Berg really does give helpful info and backs it up.

I stopped all sugars, fast foods and processed foods that day, started losing weight big time but was still getting pains and throwing up so started doing longer fast. I just finished doing a WF for 25 days in Nov and now since Aug 30th I am down 74 lbs and will continue to eat healthy along with adding in more fasting. There are other similar herbs (St. John’s Wart), but I haven't tried those. Can't say enough about Ashwagandha, though! It is seen in decompensated liver cyrrhosis, heart failure, kidney failure, cancer....most people do not have fluid buid up in their abdomen. Thank you for explaining this so well. I will say years ago when my children were born I had my second child and was cut in essence the opposite way from the original bikini line cut. It has made the sagging belly I have not helped by a normal diet and exercise. Currently I am doing a new treadmill exercise routine which is sending me in the right direction for weight loss. Your videos have some really good information and have helped so thank you again.

Dr. Berg’s skin is sensational. I love keto but my skin dried up and wrinkely but will never quit keto. I just wish I can have a skin like Dr. Berg

Something that helped me was to make large glasses of ACV water with lemon, stevia and drink several throughout the day. Does wonders.

I am a 44 year old male, 5'10 245lbs I think I am the 1st type of belly fat on your list. But I need some help to determine what I need to do about my belly fat. Several years ago I did something stupid to lose a lot of weight fast but then I gained it back after not eating right. I tried the protein shake, the one where you substitute 1 meal with the shake, but being desperate and people calling me a pregnant man and laughing at me all the time. I replaced all my meals with this shake and about 2-4 months I lost 40lbs of weight getting down to 201, my ideal weight is 175-180, this is what I weighed when I was in my late teen's and early 20's. I've been walking for an hour everyday for going on 6-7 years now, even when there is snow and ice on the road. I only eat about 2-3 times per day. The only sweeter I use is stevia ( I researched the correct version) and I was almost a diabetic a few years ago until I switched from table sugar to stevia. I just need to know what type of liver detox ( I watched your video on the shake to make) and what type of eating plan to use. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Thank you for this! I realize now my belly fat is most likely from estrogen dominance so I'm going to try certain foods and supplements to try to help combat it. In addition to diet and exercise 🙂

My problem is that all the girth was under the ribs to the now surgically removed umbilical scar. Fortunately, my liver is doing much better these days. That lifestyle change was enforced by being nauseated, until I stopped eating. I am grateful that I no longer feel like my gut is going to explode. I appreciate so much that people no longer ask when the baby is due as much as I don't feel like I'm walking around with a fish tank attached. Thank you for this video.

You are a game changer, thank you so much. I've been really depressed about my stomach since 5th grade I've had this protruding belly although I was skinny and now that I'm getting older, it's only gotten worse. If I drink water or if I put anything into my stomach it makes the effects more drastic and now I'm on a weight loss Journey, in efforts to lose my stomach. However, I seem to be losing weight faster everywhere else. I have the protruding basketball stomach type. I remember going to the doctor and them asking me if I drink and I say no I don't drink at all, I follow a strict healthy diet, and they said that's weird because you're liver levels are high and I didn't know what that could indicate but now that makes sense what you said about the protruding stomach and liver damage. Now I have some basis to find a final solution. Thank you so much Dr. Berg. APTTMH!
