I finally figured it out. Thanks to this video. If you use the + button to turn up heat it won't stay permanently unless you hit the hold button. No wonder I was cold again in the morning. Got it.
For those who want a simple thermostat (just -/+, no programming) here is what you do: Hold the "Menu" and "+" buttons together for about 5 seconds. A hidden menu will appear called "ISU". "Select" and "Back" control the top number, -/+ control the bottom number. You want to set it so that it reads 120 over 0. Press "Home" to save. Your T4 is now the simple version. You can select Cool/Heat, Fan On/Off, and -/+ only. No programming. To set it back, follow the steps to get to the ISU menu, and set it to 120 over 2, and you'll have a programmable thermostat again.

I hate this thing. I don't feel that the "auto" feature is truly auto. Mine never turns off unless I manually turn it off. Once it gets to the desired temperature, it starts blowing cold air instead of just turning off. The customer service number & my HVAC guy have been useless. Did I say that I hate this thing????😫😫😫

To anyone who wants to change the minimum temperature set point!!! Your Honeywell T4 Pro series has a total of 5 buttons. A + and - button and 3 gray buttons in between. 1. Press the + button and the middle gray button at the same time and hold. You will see ISU come up. Before you hit select this is VERY important!!! There is a series of numbers that will appear. Consider them Codes. They all mean something. For example 120 might mean what type of heating do you have. Then the number underneath it is the setting selection. So DO NOT CHANGE THE NUMBER THAT APPEARS UNDER THE CODE. To change the minimum temperature you want to look for the code 430!! To do this continuously click select *making sure you do not change the number underneath the code!!* you will completely mess up your thermostat if you do so go slow! Once you’ve reached the number 430 you want to hit the Minus number to your preferred temperature minimum and then continue clicking select until the end. Once finished it will tell you click home and it well save! You’re welcome 😇
We have this in our home. It's a new construction. But we get little heat downstairs and gets very hot upstairs (68degrees) how can we fix so we can get heat downstairs too?
I am having the same issue. Sometimes if u live in apartments they have them set where you cant turn them any lower than 70 and I liked mine on 69 it makes a difference in my house for some reason

I set the thermostat to 60°. It is showing that it's 86° currently. It's been stuck on that same number and the temperature is getting hot outside and it's getting even hotter inside. Installed this stat & all works well except when fan is set to the on mode the A/C will not cut off when desired temp is reached, keeps running but works great in the fan auto, whats wrong ?
Thats how it should be working when its on "On position" it will stay on no matter what , but if u put it on "auto" it will shutoff at the design temperature

Just moved into a new home. I have this thermostat. The unit is new. It doesn't go below 79. Its doesn't get cold at all. And the fan won't turn the hell off. I'm going to reset it and see what it does. If that doesn't work. I have a year warranty on anything on the house. So I'll either have them get a different thermostat or fix it. I don't like it.
Two days ago my old died! While I was work my sister told me that the maintenance finally show up and replace a new one when I got home! The new t4 pro doesn't give a cooling air and I'm very disappointed! I have trouble sleeping while sweating! My dad wanted me to call again to see what's up! This is a struggle!

How do you get the thermostat lighting to turn on. I have to use a flashlight to read the temperature inside the casing

Me too, they charge me $100 for both thermostat so that's why I didn't want to change it.

My ac guy installed one a few months ago and my programming mode is not working. When pressing mode it doesn’t say PROG.
How do you unlock it? I locked it, now it wants a password to get in. My shop is freezing and I can't change any of the thermostats.

That's probably not your thermostat. It sounds like your AC unit may be frozen.
Im in the same boat. The top number says 50 , but the bottom number says 81. It is burning in my house with no way to fix it.
