      Hey brother
      Anyway that my elderly Mom can just press the minus and plus buttons to adjust the temperature? We live in Florida and she rarely uses the heat. Just got her a new AC unit yesterday but I haven’t been there to help with programming. Thanks

    • @DIYPinto
      @DIYPinto  2 месяца назад

      Absolutely! Most modern AC units have simple controls. If it's just the plus and minus buttons, she should be able to adjust the temperature easily. Just make sure to show her how it works next time you visit!

    • @DIYPinto

      @RevishaMartinez:
      If the heat isn’t turning on after trying those steps, double-check that the thermostat is set to “Heat” mode and that the temperature is set higher than the current room temperature. If it’s still not working, it might be an issue with the heating system itself.

    We just changed the batteries in ours and it won't even light up so I can do anything. It only heats my art studio but it is getting very cold in there. I don't want to pay for the plumbing/heating people to come and fix it for me. I know there has to be an explanation. It's only a few years old.

    • @DIYPinto
      @DIYPinto  2 месяца назад +1

      @Kandicookheller
      Sorry to hear that! If your thermostat won’t light up after changing the batteries, it could be an issue with the power connection or the device itself. You may want to try resetting it by removing the batteries again for a few minutes before reinstalling them. If that doesn't work, checking the wiring may help.

      @@DIYPinto Thank you so much. We noticed the original thermostat was corroded from having the cheap batteries in it that came with the original unit. I found the unit on Amazon much cheaper than our Plumbers were selling it for (by $25) and it came quickly and was easy to install. Now my art studio is nice and warm again. I so appreciate your advice. Best wishes! Kandi

    It's the worst piece of crap I've ever used. Even the instructions are no help at all. Why does it need all this crap? IT'S JUST A FRIGGIN' THERMOSTAT! This thing doesn't even have a backlight. I'm going to see if the installers can give me a manual thermostat. These are junk.
