Who wants 4 schedules? I want a thermostat, if it is hot, I want to press the down button to make it cooler now. If I am cold, I wan to press the up button to make it hotter. Why would you need anything other than that? I am so hot in this house right now, and it isn't even summer trying to figure this out.

These instructions are great so I was puzzled when my heat still didn’t come on. I called Honeywell and spoke with Alex. He had me remove the cover. A white and red wire were coming from my wall which needed to be inserted in the W and R slot on the unit. My white wire was in the RC slot and it needed to go onto the W slot. Once I did that, the heater came right on. So I had two heroes who helped me keep my sanity. Thanks to you both.

*THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS* ‼️
It's actually very easy to set up once you get into the rhythm of it-- it's just that the damn thing JUST DOESN'T WORK even though I've put brand new batteries in it!
First of all, when I went to set the time as shown in the beginning of the video, it was stuck on AM and wouldn't turn to PM until I scrolled past 12:00AM about 8 times.
I've learned from this video how to override the "Set" temperature, but the problem is that mine is stuck on 81° and when I put in the lower temporary temperature it goes right back to 81° or 82° as the "Hold" temperature.
There's no way that all of these people just don't know what they're doing.
The problem is with the appliance not the users.

I moved and bought this house five years ago. I never had a thermostat with pre-defined settings already programmed that you could change anyways, I found this video and I used it and I’ve been using it and everything‘s been going good and then something happened I had to change the batteries and I couldn’t remember, I came back to this video and it reminded me because I never really had to deal with it. I was so glad that this video was still here. Thank you very much very helpful. I’m on the east coast too. I’m freezing right now.

I just read your comment to my husband. He said, "That sounds like You!!"
Everyday I accuse him of changing the air from 74 to 78. And he says "I haven't touched the darn thing!" And I say, "well, I guess it just changes all by itself."
And now to find out I'm not alone! And I'm not crazy! The thermostat is possessed! Lol
I even taped this up on the wall beside the thermostat:
DEAR HUBBY, PLEASE STOP PUTTING THE AIR ON 78. I CANT BREATHE!!!

To Ashley: No, no, don't ever think that way. Do not question nor doubt your intelligence. Back in the 1980s, there were advertisements on the telly that judges, lawyers, and other professionals couldn't program their VCR to record television shows. Now we have babies bopping with computer coding, building, and gaming. Things can be gleaned and accomplished, just relax and get into it, get the know-how, then ease will prevail upon you.
