It is done in the device set up. You have to press menu for five seconds and then you have access to the temp stops, autochangeover, schedule options, etc. Be careful.
I just verified this, hold Menu 5 seconds, press Select when Device Setup is displayed, press right arrow 15 times (until it displays 430 at the top MIN COOL TEMPERATURE, press Edit, press - until your desired minimum is reached, press Done, press right arrow until FINISH SETUP is displayed, press Select (SAVING is displyed) press Back. Test setting the tempertature lower in Cool mode. You can change Maximum as well, etc. Careful not to change others settings under that Advanced Menu when doing this change! If you do make any other change, note what the current setting was first, and also the setting number at the top (such as 430) that way you can set it back later if the changes don't do what you want.
Camera red light on anything reflective *(or when using a flash in photos) can be avoided by angling the view, so offset the camera to the right/left/top/ bottom, any position that works best.
It depends where you live and what season. You can manually set back and fouth heat or cool and set the temp, but you can maybe set a schedule that cools during the hottest part or the day, but also heats *(if really needed) at night. Try that out. Also, if you have the App, you can set to heat, cool and any temp even if you're away from your home anytime.
Our builder installed a Honeywell T6 Pro non-wifi, we tried to replace it with a regular nest and the fan speed of the blower was significantly reduced for some reason. So we put the T6 back up and the fan speed returned to normal. My question is, will this T6 wifi work exactly the same without reducing the blower fan speed like the nest did? We have a Lennox system with a honeywell z311 two zones.
That can't really happen with proper wiring, these are low voltage thermostats, they control higher current relays and such to power the fan and other. Some thermostats have options, such as this model to set the number of cycles/hour. Also some systems have single-stage, some two-stage (a lower and higher speed) sounds like it was possibly miswired or not compatible with the Nest.
That's most likely a wiring issue.. Make sure green wire is connected to the G terminal on the thermostat.. The green wire being energized is what tell fan to ramp up when AC/heat is running or when fan option is set to On.. That's the first thing to check..
My havac guy just recommended Honeywell WiFi . We just installed nest 2 weeks ago and our control board broke maybe a coincidence maybe not but the furnace definitely ran differently after nest was installed
Hi . Good job on the video ! I don’t like the idea for the heating come up every 10 min and the heat stays on for 02 minutes and shuts off!! Is anyway to change it.. it’s a waste of energy!!! My electric bill is gonna go up tremendously with this thermostat!!!
Which app???? The manual say download either the Honeywell Home app or Resideo Pro app - Honeywell Home does not show up in the app store and Resideo Pro does not work. The company that installed this says to use “Total Connect Comfort”. none of these apps have any QA as they are beyond buggy but not even compatible and it even states so. Why is there no “Honeywell Home” like the T6 Pro Smart says there is? (Apple App store does not have it)
There's some contractor setup, you get there by pressing something many times in a row, someone might've used it before and disabled Wi-Fi if possible, but perhaps a PIN is set, not allowing you (as a user) to see Wi-Fi. I'd try to factory reset it.
I have same model pro series but I can't see wifi option in my thermostat. Can I connect to wifi through Z-WAVE SETUP? I tried tht too but it shows failed to include. How I can connect my thermostat to wifi?
You have to turn on wi-fi in the device settings. Look on the back of your thermostat. If it has a WF in the model number, it is for wi fi. If it has a WZ, it is a Z wave compatible. Thermostat model is in the equipment info section.
Kind of wish you would show how to unlock it if it's if you're new to it and you don't accidentally lock it and it asked to put the code in if someone don't know how to unlock it because it's wasn't there they just moved into the house you know it'd be nice if you could show someone how to reset the unlock
When heat or cool is functioning, it displays Heat or Cool to the left of the temp, somewhere there. If you want to change which one, click on Mode and select what you want.
Press Menu on the thermostat, then keep pressing left or right arrow, when you see Temp-Scale stop, press on Temp-Scale, then left or right arrow to change, press Done.
Are you sure it was off, not in the sleep/darker mode? My T6 doesn't have batteries as some do, so if the red furnace switch is turned off, it will power off the thermostat too.
@@johnf5122 yes it was off. My water pan was full and wasn’t draining properly. I had to drain it manually until maintenance repaired the drainage issue. It’s been fine ever since.
There's a pro youtube video on the T6 and other thermostats T1-T10 I think. It is very good, but goes into serious detail about wiring, etc. It sounds like a possible wiring problem or maybe scheduling. I could share the other link, after I find it.
Try pressing Menu, then arrow left or right to Reset or Recovery, try either and press Done. Look for a factory reset in a small deep hole on the rear, I thought mine had that. Didn't use it. Or search online factory reset Honeywell T6
This is the Fan setting, you need to set it it Auto. When in Auto, fan only runs when AC is being used. If that is set to Auto, you have a wiring problem.

That can only be done in the app from my understanding.
If you do make any other change, note what the current setting was first, and also the setting number at the top (such as 430) that way you can set it back later if the changes don't do what you want.
can it control humidity level?
Camera red light on anything reflective *(or when using a flash in photos) can be avoided by angling the view, so offset the camera to the right/left/top/ bottom, any position that works best.
I am locked out my husband messed with the thermostat and I don't know the pin?
I am so confused with this what should the fan be set at so it won’t run all day, also that it will cut off when it reaches the desired temperature?
I would talk to the company who installed them for you for more help.
Set the fan to “auto”.
@@KI-xf3vq thanks
When mine was first installed i saw hold...now i cant get it to show up at all?
Thanks for your video. It helped me understand it. I pushed the wrong button so, temp hold till 6pm is on. How can I get rid of it?
Seriously? Go back into the menu and reconfigure.
What will happen if i set the mode to "off" and set fan to "auto"? Which app i need to download on my iphone?
I don’t have a wifi section on mines and even when I press on it for 5secs no response I do have a WiFi symbol with a x on it on the corner
I got the same thermostat and it's missing the heat mode ,is there a way to activate it?
That’s 8 minutes of my life I’ll never get back!
Is it better to leave it on heat or cool? I’m confused by that.
If u want it cold then cool if u want it hot then heat, its common sense🤦♂️
Same I don't want it running all the time like it's been doing
It depends where you live and what season. You can manually set back and fouth heat or cool and set the temp, but you can maybe set a schedule that cools during the hottest part or the day, but also heats *(if really needed) at night. Try that out. Also, if you have the App, you can set to heat, cool and any temp even if you're away from your home anytime.
@@youngrios sounds as your fan is in On mode
I follow all the steps ans still appear 63° and it is really cold. How do I have to increase the temperature? Thank you.
Is this hard wired or batteries? My screen is off and I don’t see a power button
Is this unit powered by batteries? Thanks!🙏
My mobile app reads offline and I can't fix for my Honeywell T6
How do you take the lock off of you don’t know the password my kids lock me out
which honeywell home app is the right one
???
I have the same question
I have the t1 the tech just installed but AC wont shut off what can it be ??
Help!! I've got it on cool but the number on the main screen says 25 it won't move or blow cold air
You should call a local HVAC company for help.
How do you remove from
The wall?
Our builder installed a Honeywell T6 Pro non-wifi, we tried to replace it with a regular nest and the fan speed of the blower was significantly reduced for some reason. So we put the T6 back up and the fan speed returned to normal. My question is, will this T6 wifi work exactly the same without reducing the blower fan speed like the nest did? We have a Lennox system with a honeywell z311 two zones.
I would talk to an HVAC pro about that. I don't know what system you have and I'm not an expert on it.
I dont have heat on mine, whys that
I would contact the HVAC company who installed it.
Does that back cover plate come with the thermostat? Or is it built on it? If it's not built in..where do you find it at?
Mine came with it. I would look at the description of for the one you buy.
You find it in the description of the T6 product you want to purchase.
Shows in the manual as an optional part.
Which app???? The manual say download either the Honeywell Home app or Resideo Pro app -
Honeywell Home does not show up in the app store and Resideo Pro does not work. The company that installed this says to use “Total Connect Comfort”. none of these apps have any QA as they are beyond buggy but not even compatible and it even states so.
Why is there no “Honeywell Home” like the T6 Pro Smart says there is? (Apple App store does not have it)
They just renamed it to the Resident app last week.
Honeywell Home is now the Resideo App. I set mine up today, configuring it with that App.
I don’t know if it’s the thermostat or my actual electrical connection that sucks
Why, what problem are you experiencing?
I keep hearing my fan come on. But it’s off. How do I stop that?
Your in re-circulate mode…From the main screen touch fan until it cycles to auto then it will only run when cooling or heating is on
Newbie To This, What's The Right App? To Download From My IPhone
You failed to mention the Honeywell app thats needed.
Which one is it?
The app was mentioned, starting at around 3:30 in video. Also, again at 4:58, he shows it on camera.
They can't make you need an app or wifi for it to work I don't think.
To be a sniper, you’re terrible at paying attention to details…but its not called the honeywell home app anymore. It it now called “Resideo”
Is it NEEDED?
I have this same thermostat, why does mine not have the “wifi” menu? Is there something i did that removed the wifi setting?
I would talk to the company who installed it for you for more help. To make sure you have the right settings.
There's some contractor setup, you get there by pressing something many times in a row, someone might've used it before and disabled Wi-Fi if possible, but perhaps a PIN is set, not allowing you (as a user) to see Wi-Fi. I'd try to factory reset it.
The Honeywell T6 is made with Wi-Fi and one made without Wi-Fi. You may have purchased the one without Wi-Fi
I have same model pro series but I can't see wifi option in my thermostat. Can I connect to wifi through Z-WAVE SETUP? I tried tht too but it shows failed to include. How I can connect my thermostat to wifi?
I would contact the company who installed it for help.
You have to turn on wi-fi in the device settings. Look on the back of your thermostat. If it has a WF in the model number, it is for wi fi. If it has a WZ, it is a Z wave compatible. Thermostat model is in the equipment info section.
@@AngusMahm how do you set up with Z wave
does this thermostat have batteries
Kind of wish you would show how to unlock it if it's if you're new to it and you don't accidentally lock it and it asked to put the code in if someone don't know how to unlock it because it's wasn't there they just moved into the house you know it'd be nice if you could show someone how to reset the unlock
My daughter didn't know how to turn the heat down.
Now it has a cool down time and l don't know how to keep my temperature idle.
Require C wire ?
My app. Only sets vacation, I don’t see schedule on it? Any idea?
You need to create your own schedule.
Where is permanent hold on there ?
I tried to program mine to stay off from3pm to 6pm but it wont stay off
My Honeywell th6320zw2003 ProSeries don't appear WiFi in menu how can I get wifi
How can I reset the pin?
Mine says cool but there is no air any help would be appreciated
I would contact an HVAC company.
How do you know if its on cool or heat?
When heat or cool is functioning, it displays Heat or Cool to the left of the temp, somewhere there. If you want to change which one, click on Mode and select what you want.
Can you turn the fan off?
Yes, click on Fan
Just trying to figure out how to have it be 72 all the time. The video didn't help
Turn off your schedule and just set it to 72.
Circulate runs the thermostat 35% percent of each hour at minimum... roughly 20 minutes.
Thanks, mines runs still on off mode
Why doesn’t mine have schedule? A repairman came to my house and I think he programmed my Ac and I can’t reprogram it.
Mine is missing schedule as well. My house stays on 85. It's fricking hot outside and in uughhh
How do I change from Fahrenheit to Celsius.
Press Menu on the thermostat, then keep pressing left or right arrow, when you see Temp-Scale stop, press on Temp-Scale, then left or right arrow to change, press Done.
For the FAN mode, how do i turn it OFF ?
All I see Auto, On and Cir
Auto mode will only run when the heat or air conditioning is on.
@@TheBreakdownWithLuke thank you for the response - but i have both Heat and A/C "off" and the fan still runs intermittently in Auto mode
@@wchomes106 you possibly have a fresh air damper in your home. It will override the thermostat and run the blower to bring fresh air into the home.
@@AngusMahm wow, i guess that is a nice feature...so i assume there is no way to turn it off, correct? (thank you for the earlier reply)
What app is it
Mine just turned off overnight. Do you know how to turn it back on.
Typically means there is an issue with your system. Call somebody for a service call.
@@TheBreakdownWithLuke okay. Thank you.
Somehow my heat doesn't come on while on and only come on here and there during the auto cycle.
I would contact a HVAC company for help with that.
There's a pro youtube video on the T6 and other thermostats T1-T10 I think. It is very good, but goes into serious detail about wiring, etc. It sounds like a possible wiring problem or maybe scheduling. I could share the other link, after I find it.
How do you take off to find code to get pin
Try pressing Menu, then arrow left or right to Reset or Recovery, try either and press Done.
Look for a factory reset in a small deep hole on the rear, I thought mine had that. Didn't use it. Or search online factory reset Honeywell T6
Si el ac está apagado y el abanico sigue funcionando no tiene opción de apagar. Siento frío lo quiero apagar totalmente los dos ac y abanicó. Gracias
I would call a HVAC company for help.
This is the Fan setting, you need to set it it Auto. When in Auto, fan only runs when AC is being used. If that is set to Auto, you have a wiring problem.
