- Found T6 Pro Honeywell thermostat working perfect, however the homeowner didn’t realize there is an option for Scheduling, which requires either the run schedule setting or Temporary hold setting. There is also a way to set thermostat to NO PROGRAM.
THANK YOU SIR. GOOD JOB 👍
Thank you
I really like how you made it so simple and to the point .I wasted no time setting my thermostat, but while watching the video what stood out to me the most was that you corrected the man by not letting him speak negative about himself that was powerful! the holy spirit told me to acknowledge that. YOU THE MAN!
GOD Bless you my brother. Thank you.
I need help with my Honeywell. It’s stuck on temporary and I have no hold button. Honeywell 5-2 DAY PROGRAMMABLE THERMOSTAT model
Go into menu and select schedule and set to off.
Thank you! We just had our thermostat installed and it did just what you said!
Thank you It’s a nice thermostat too.
Quick question I did as you did but on mine it didn’t show temporary hold or anything so I turned it off and held those two buttons and it showed it was already on zero so we saved it and then turned the temperature down but the only difference is that ours said cool fan at the top and in this video the old man didn’t have his saying that at the right top corner my grandpa touched the thermostat and we don’t understand how to do it
Call me 2034602378
Remember when all thermostats weren’t pieces of trash. Fuckin launch codes and mystic messages just to make it do something it should already be built to do
True.
It took more than an hour and it turns out that it was easier than I thought without a doubt my hero without a cape
This thermostat sucks. It's way too unnecessarily complicated. Not user friendly whatsoever.
You need help?
@@hvacotj No. Thank you anyway. I'm changing it back to a non programmable thermostat for heat pumps.
Yes for heat pump you have to go through the ISU setting in manual. Take care.
i like you sir. @@hvacotj
Where r you located I heard you say NY
I’m in Westchester county Really from western Ct to NYC and everything in beu
Thank you so much. Solved the issue we had with the thermostat changing temperatures. It's solved now.
Step by step instructions please
Hit menu and plus sign together. Wait for ISU menu. Bring to zero. Then hit home. It will save
@@hvacotj i noticed you didn’t change everything to 0. Any preference I should be keeping for the different #’s
Thanks a lot buddy for this useful video. I had the same problem with my T6 Honeywell Thermostat and now I got what´s going on. Thanks again 👍👍👌😊
Awesome. Thank you.
I have a T5 WiFi thermostat it will
Reach it’s temperature but will not shut off when reached and it seems like the temperature is erratic. Anyway in the hidden features of the thermostat to calibrate because I do not see anyway to calibrate it.
I found the advance features by searching, but it is missing menu 1420 ISU to set temperature offset. Just bought this yesterday because my Honeywell RTH9585WF would reach its temperature setting of 70 would get real hot in the house so I thought it was the thermostat sensor has gone bad. I’m not liking the T5. It reminds me of the Amazon thermostat.
Set offset to 0. T6 has option
@@hvacotj The T5 has no option to do that offset menu in the advance settings in ISU
@petelopez5826 I know. Grab a t6
@@hvacotj Let me see if I can find it locally. Thanks
I did exactly what you did in the video, thank you so much !!!!!!!!!! hope this works for us now !
Since we moved in , every night after midnight the cold a/c air stopped( just normal air coming out all night ……. )
So after I followed your video , does that mean everything is reset . If I turn it ON cool . It will stay cool utill it hit the temperature I want ? No more fan air all night ? Just A/C ?
I really appreciated this video. Thank you again
If you hit fan to auto then the fan will only operate when the system is needed to cool. Hit fan until you see auto.
Thank you so much. It was that answer to my problem. Very valuable. You are a lifesaver
It would usually happen to me as well I remember last time I would put it at 68 and then 5-10 minutes later it would randomly go to 70 or 71 winter time
Thanks, Simple Solution if you know which buttons to push. I did not till you showed me!
I’m glad it helped.
Exactly what i was looking for
I’m glad it helps.
That helped tremendously I was having the same issue 👏👏👏 thank you so kindly
Anytime. I’m glad it helped.
Great job, the older you get (I resemble that remark) the harder tech is to get a grasp on, as long as nobody changes it he will never have another problem with it !
Exactly. I like to ask If they want the program option on and as you said, the older they are the less they want it. Usually like it simple
Oh man I just asked the super for the manual because I actually want to have the scheduling set, couldn't find one so I'm glad I was able to get some info from this video!
Thank you
Thank you, worked like a charm!
Great
Ur a good guy, helped me a lot I was trying to figure it out for the past 2 weeks god bless you man , you are a good guy .🙏
Thank you. You too.
Life saver 🙌🏾
Why my Honeywell ProSeries is not reaching the right temperature it stuck sometime is 75 or 78 summertime
Maybe it’s not the thermostat but something wrong with actual system if temp isn’t cooling.
My AC was cold when I left the house , when I came back 4 hours later it was hot , the big number is at 86 and the small ones at the top are at 76 which is what I want , do you have any idea why did it got hot all of the sudden and taking long to cool ?
You may have another issue like the outside condenser may not be properly working. Could be a few things. Refrigerant. Dirty filter, dirty coil, capacitor etc.
Thanks for the tip, i was having the same problem 🤝
Anytime. I’m glad it helped.
How do you put this thermostat on auto mode? So that If you want the house to always be 70 degrees, then the thermostat automatically adjusts
I’m not sure this thermostat (T6) has the option. Unless you just set to 70 on cool in summer and 70 for heat in winter.
Thanks a lot, system was going crazy and this helped me perfectly. 🙏🏽
I’m glad it helped bro. Appreciate the comment
@@hvacotj no doubt bro, keep being Great
Thank you so much sir. Now that I clear all of the extra temporary hold, can I still program it for day and night?
If you want to be able to schedule than set it back to 3 instead of 0. Then when you use schedule it will just read following schedule, but it will be the schedule the you set up so it shouldn’t be a problem.
Thanks bro that helped
Best video on RUclips!!!
Thanks!!!
This actually helped so much
Great
Thank you this helped me
Life Saver video
Ok
Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!🙏🏽
Hi, I try that but the isu doesn’t show up and now when I turn it down it work after a while it stop and the temperature when up, the landlord I have he doesn’t really do anything, is there any other way you can help? Thank you.
Can you change the batteries
I don’t know how to change it lol
exactly what I needed... great video tutorial,,,, simple straight with no fancy technical stuff.
someone pressed a series of buttons and my thermostat was set on the one you set for this home.
So I am glad that it is an accepted setting and can be set on it forever...
the dear at the end was great and brings good fortune.....
thanks
I’m glad it helped
on mine the temporty hold and permant hold is missing what do i do
If you want to see the temp hold and permanent hold then follow the same steps except set it to number 3 instead of zero
You the man! straight to the point!
Thanks Josh thats real cool I appreciate you brother
Mine was just installed no manual was given. I do not have the schedule option now I know the technician overrode it to simply it. My AC won’t let me lower the temp below 70 degrees. Is this why I can’t adjust my ac lower because the technician set it for that specific temp? The heat lets me raise and lower temp . Will overriding to add the schedule option back give me the option to lower AC to 68?
Yes. There is a low set point from the manufacturer of 50 and a high heat of 90. The tech must have set it to a minimum set point of 70.
No. You will have to go in to the ISU again and find the option that reads 70 and then lower it to 68.
ISU number 430 is the selection you can scroll to. When you get to selection 430, you can lower it there. Then hit the home button and it will save.

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!
Thank you too.
Does this work for most of these honeywell thermostats?
Yes. You can always download for model in question.
I got so excited when I saw this but then realized I have the Pro series (touch screen). How would you do this same procedure on a touch screen?
On the touchscreen, hit Menu and the select Schedule to off. 🙏
*then
Thanks made it simple so we can understand 👍🏿
I’m glad it helped. Thanks for watching.
Excellent job, ty very much
I’m glad it helped.
Thank u! This was driving me crazy!
I’m glad it helped.
Thanks 🙏 it’s 2 am and -30 and our furnace is freezing us out! Thanks to this new thermostat ugh!
This video really saved us - although it took me 20 tries to guess the unlock code was 1234 - Finally and I set to up and down only - done ✅
Whenever I set those up, I make it so there is no lock code, but I’m glad it worked out for you.
Thank you it really help me today
I’m glad it helped. Anytime.
So its supposed to be on auto fan???
I may have set it auto. But the video is really showing how to take the schedule option off for people who find it confusing. This way it can be set just by up and down instead of worrying about temporary hold and permanent hold.
Thanks bro
No problem
Nice video man
Thank you
Ive got 3 of these in my house. Wicked frustrating. Thanks for the help i just did this to all 3! The living room is getting so hot for some reason. Fingers crossed!!! The living room doesnt say fan or auto fan ever.
You may have hit the wrong settings. This video only is to show how to take away the schedule option. You should be able to see fan setting. If you need to you can probably reset settings to factory if you look in booklet.
@@hvacotj i had to turn my thermostats to off it wasnt coming down (temp)
Do you have a boiler or furnace?
@@hvacotj furnace
Ok. Make sure you don’t have two wires touching at any one of your thermostats at the backplate. That can cause your furnace to run nonstop of the R and W wires are touching.
Estoy desesperado no puedo configurarlo el mío es un Honeywell home T4.
La programe para que todo esté en 72 F y me aparece 82 F y por más que le cambio jamás puedo cambiarla no se que hacer
Ok.
It is probably an issue with the actual air conditioning. Make sure the outside unit is running. If it isn’t it’s a different problem. Same for the inside unit. Call an hvac tech.
@@hvacotj The machine is new, it is barely a year old, it cools inside but only a while later it returns to high temperature, I will have to consult with a specialist, thank you in advance for taking the time to answer me, I am going to subscribe to your channel as a thank you, greetings
Thanks bro. So please check your filter. The system may freezing up. Could be due to low refrigerant or filter. What may be happening is at first few hours it cools until system ices up and then it cannot move any more heat from the home.
Great video!
Thank you very much
Thanks brother. Help a lot
Thank you
I’m glad it helped
You.a.good.man
Thanks brother.
Jeez, at least point the camera at the thermostat when you’re talking about it.
Thanks fella
Hello sir , will this help for the heat? The thermostat didn’t let us move the number high for the heat so the heat is not on that’s why our house is cold
No. Thermostat may be broken.
I have a Filtrete thermostat, and when I set the heat to turn on at 65, a little bit later, I wake up roasting to death and it's set at like 73. Sometimes it'll happen a couple minutes after I set the temp. Whyyyy??? How do I fix this?
(Also, this isn't my house, our house was ruined in Hurricane Ian and is unliveable for the time being, so we're staying in a family member's temporarily-empty house, so this isn't my thermostat, so I don't have the booklet or anything.)
Try just pressing the hold button. I’m not sure of the Filtrete tstat. Maybe Google the exact thermostat you have.
hello how do i get the hold option
it disappeared
Set it back to 3. So do the same thing you did, but instead of selecting zero, select three.
Then you will able to have the hold option again.
