My husband is a wild food forager. There are so many plants that grow just on the side of the road. Most "weeds" can be eaten! His specialty is mushrooms, but that is something you've got to be so careful with! xx

I can relate to you on having no power. The entire State of South Australia was without power back in early October due to storms. We had no power for over 24 hours...totally off the grid. It was an eye opener to just how reliant we are on others. Those books are not silly to have at all. Self education is always a good thing. :)

Don't worry about people who give you crap for being sponsored. Everyone else would do it too, and they know it. I mean, we all HAVE to have money, and that's an awesome way to get it. I usually don't use this extremely cliched line, but they are just mad that they can't make a living this way. I couldn't care less if ALL of your videos were sponsored. Do what you want, girl, and everyone else just needs to appreciate all the FREE content you supply for us that greatly helps us all. You are the best ASMRtist out there and I know you put a lot of hard work into your videos, so I just will say thank you.

Your hard work really does show, in both the vlogs and the ASMR videos. They are very classy productions! I'm a low-level prepper like you, in that I like sustainable ways of living - growing some foods, reusing or recycling things, staying healthy through prevention and herbs and so on. Just endured a period with water problems at our house. It is amazing how much for granted we get to be about basics like heat and water, huh?

I love the books :) I think even if society doesn't crash, people should know these things anyway. It really doesn't matter how much else you know, if you don't know how to feed yourself and find clean water without a grocery store, everything else you know isn't worth much in the absence of that kind of security. I get so excited over plants as well!

It's not stupid to want to prepare for trying times. And as an old hand at being in power outages, there are somethings you should keep on hand. Go to redcross.ca and get some 50 hour emergency candles. No batteries needed. Also, get a good propane run camping stove. You can cook food and heat water for tea and wash water. On the Internet find out about the Terra cotta pot and candle heater.
Sigh. I would like to tell you to go to the Canadian Tire store to ask the staff to help you find gear to get through a power outage, but you don't have a Canadian Tire store. Hey!!! Road trip!!!!
By the way, I firmly believe that you have every right to have sponsors. You have worked too hard for too long not to get paid for what you do. Give Darryl a squeeze.
