A follow up video actually showing what methods you use to reach out to potential clients (call/inmail/candidate meetings etc) & examples or live settings of you doing this would be amazing & extremely valuable.
Hi Preston, big fan but I do not agree with your recommendations. 1. Companies as big as Uber will not work with agency recruiters. They have a team of several hundred recruiters so they are not motivated to pay a $30K agency fee. Focus on companies less than 100 employees and no larger than 250 employees. 2. Look at companies that just recently received funding. 3. Conducting a job board search for just a broad topic as Software Engineers is not helpful. Get more specialized. For example do a search for IOS developers. 4. Start with a highly marketable/motivated candidate and find great companies to send their resume to. Just because you sign a fee agreement with a company does not guarantee they will even review your candidates. 5. Pay a virtual assistant to create this list building for you. Your time is way too valuable to do this. 6. Be prepared to send all of your email and text communication through an automated follow-up system. You do not have the time or the bandwidth to conduct manual follow-ups.
Great video Preston! Would definitely love a follow up video on this and a series would be wonderful!. A quick question - how do you find quality candidates? bcz if it was easy only from job boards no one would use recruiters.
So much value being dropped in this video 💎 Preston, you’re sharing our trade secrets to the world! Haha, keep it up. Would love to see what templates you use in your industry.
I have been doing marketing aka trying to find clients for 6-7 months now and I've only had 1. Definitely takes repetitive effort to find a client. If you're a hot or attractive women on linkedin, getting clients is much easier.
Thanks Preston for the videos. I would love to see some videos on your reaching out. I solo recruited in 2011 then in 2017/18/22. My background HS been in IT and Medical/Surgical/Robotic sales and I am looking into making a transition to work 100% as a solo recruiter. Would love to chat some to get your input.
HI Preston many companies such as Uber have internal recruiters, HR and Talent acquisition managers. How do you navigate these people? Is it still possible to work with companies like these?
