Freddy, thank you very much for your amazing Beastx setup videos! I have come back to heli flying after 20 year break and couldn’t get my head around flybarless set up. I couldn’t understand what all the menu options were actually doing. I did get my Trex 500x flying but it wasn’t great. Then I found you! 2 weeks ago and OMG what an awesome heli I have now. Thank you so much. (66 year old UK heli nut )

Quick question: Did you put the first setting back to -32 ? or keep it at +32 +32 + 32 on gyro. Freddy you are brilliant...If I had a heli company or FBL unit maker.. I would hire you to do videos on the product... I have never understood why manufacturers produce manuals that are difficult to follow and assume the customer has a good knowledge of setting up the black art of Helicopters... You make it so easy and I am very grateful to other guys who have taken the time to show setting a Beast X up but you are by far the best.
Thank you so much for the very kind words buddy, and also yes once you have completed the programming I set everything to +32 for my first test flight. This makes sure that all flight modes have equal gain with no risk of accidentally flying in RATE mode. Then you just fine tune them from there.
I totally agree, the manuals are made for people who usually have a crystal ball, manuals in English mixed with Chinese, for me who do not read or speak English, I have to use the google translation. And the companies do not allow us to select one part of the manual to translate on google, or they block the translation, or put the Chinese together, and when we select a part, only strange characters come in. I think that’s why the Hobby of Helimodelos instead of growing is decreasing , and the Hobby of Drones has been growing. If the manufacturers do not change this concept of manuals, they will end up failing.
@@33forsaken i like the idea of having it set in rate mode on normal mode because it will center the tail then i will flip to headlock and take off. if the blades are set mechanically to hold the tail so there is no sudden turns if i do forget i will not be caught off guard. i have the gyro gains on a seperate switch. but what is your feelings about that. its a matter for me to have the tail on center then flip it to gyro gain. preference for me. i never forget it anyway because it is habit forming.
Great series of videos! Currently I am working on an old trex450 using the tgz380 which is a clone version of beastx v.3 for instructions. I have an old DX7 radio and I am just getting back into helicopters. The question I have for you is how do I go about getting gyro sense to show up in my functions list. My heli has been set up for years using the old reliable gy401 but going through the very similar instructions with the tgz380 I will need to get into the area of raté and heading hold in the radio. Hoping you might be able to point me in the right direction. Thanks for sharing.
If I can recall in the older DX7 radios, you have to do the thing where you hold down the button and power on the radio to enter model select and all of that. Then you have to actually go into the channel assign and set the gyro to on in the channel assign. Then if I am remembering right it should then active the Gyro menu when the radio is powered on like normal. I hope this helps, it has been a while since I have used the older radios and systems lol.
Thanks for the video, I have the T-rex470LM, and MicroBeast v4.2 came, as I am a beginner, I paid for the T-rex to be assembled, but I'm not happy, because the servants are making noise, I think there is a little shaking, and also the tail servo hits the end, which even for me who is a beginner I think is wrong. But, thanks again for posting.

Hey guys never ever ever add sub trims in the radio with the beast x or related systems. Thats what the FBL system is for, so you can go into the travel menus for the setup and lower your setting. For the tail you can change the tail travel limits. Its all done in the system NOT the radio, adding sub trims will give you less then desired results with the system and causes issues while in flight. Also please NOTE it is perfectly normal for your servos to be sitting stationary and be buzzing or making noise. It happens with all helis, and is usually caused by the wight and tight restriction from the links. Servo buzzing is perfectly normal, however servo binding is not. There is a big difference between the two.
