I think I will just hold off for now and wait for this one to be released in the hot swappable version. I wouldn't have known that without watching this review. Thank you very much.
Awesome review! I've been watching a bunch of your videos while keyboard shopping the past couple of weeks and I appreciate the honest and thorough reviews! I just got the K2v2 with reds and I am loving my first mechanical keyboard :) Compact footprint, a professional looking design, and it works perfectly with my work Dell laptop and personal Macbook Air. I wanted something without a numpad, which I never use, but I had to have dedicated arrow keys and a function row for ease of use. The K2 meets all my needs and I am LOVING it! Thanks for the great content :)
I bought the K2 V2 a few months back as my first mechanical keyboard. I like it, though I admit I do not use it often as I was convinced to get one of those cheap wired keyboards for my work laptop. The K2 V2 would only be for gaming or streaming, which I don't often do nowadays. But after the cheap one had key problems after a couple of months, I fell in love again with the K2 V2 as I worked. This convinced me to switch to a mechanical keyboard for work moving forward. But I chose another, cheaper model so that I don't damage the K2 V2 because my typing gets really intense during stressful work situations. XD Keep up the great work!
I've been going back and forth between the Yunzii KC84 and this board for a while... still not sure which one to get but I'm leaning towards keychron, in part because of your reviews. Thank you!
And it comes in ISO! Was looking for a 75% in ISO and nearly ordered a DIY Kit from AliExpress and now I see this! Thank you for notifying me :) Order is placed.

This would have been a perfect keyboard if they did not mess with the classical 75% key layout. They put the light button in the top right corner instead of the delete button, like it should be. Also Home, Page Up/Down and End layout is also different than normal. Should be Home, Page Up, Page Down, End. Great review!

I just got the K2 v2, and been testing it out. I observed that it acts up when I change the backlight settings, such as trying to turn it off or dim it, and/or when I change the colors. After changing the settings, some keys wont work, or works but not as it should (i.e. some keys shift the cursor or work like alt or the space bar). Has anyone else had this experience with the K2 v2? Was thinking whether it needs to be replaced.

Looking forward to the K2/6/8 comparison! I am considering the K8 Also has anyone had any problems with bluetooth connectivity? I know Hardware Cannucks said the k2 had some trouble connecting to his PC
Just got my K2 and you were right idk why I got the Blue switches regret it now my fingers hurt all the time other than that the keyboard is just like you said.
Hey! Great review!!!!!!! You mentioned that keys usually get greasy and develop a shine after a while. Do you know where to buy replacement keys? Can you buy from basically anywhere or how does that work? :(
I just bought this with the white backlight after watching this, upgrading from a razer blackwidow that I’ve had since 2014. I’m hoping I don’t regret not getting RGB but I want the opposite of gamer aesthetic
I'm really late to the party on this keyboard. Have found that the transition from full size to 75% has actually been pretty easy, even for work purposes. My one (alum frame, RGB with Gateron Red) works flawlessly. Only issue I have is with the orange escape key: the "paint" finish has a bubble on one section which is noticeable when the backlight is on (considering contacting Keychron to see if I can get a new keycap set).
this is a great keyboard.satisfied.hard to find a mechanical keyboard for mac.however i found the keys to be a little small and when i type i have more errors as all keys are smooched together.specially the enter key and backspace. overall great keyboard with great typing satifaction.
I have a few questions like does it have macros and if we plan to change the keycaps, how to know which kind of sets will fit it...I have been looking through many youtube videos but do not seem to find a clear answer to what kind of keycaps will fit a 75% keyboard.
"I am really not sure what kind of person blues are for." I lost feeling in my left fingertips due to an unfortunate table saw accident 💀 and I don't have much feeling in them (as the nerves where severed). The blue keys help me to have a more tactile typing experience while giving me pressure and confirmation feedback with every keystroke. Reds are no doubt killer switches; however, I have far fewer missed and wrong key presses with the blue switches.
Hey! I have a bit of a peculiar question but I'm hoping you could help me out. Do you know if it's possible to mod the Keychron K2 in such a way that I would insert the stabilizers of the K3 into the plate of the K2, so that I could then use all the low-profile keycaps of the K3 on the K2 body?
I think Cherry profile is way too low, and SA is way too high. : ) Btw, have you ever tried Gateron clear/white? My understanding is that they are a 35g actuation linear switch and since I really like Reds, I was thinking about trying clears to see if I would like an even lighter/faster switch. I'll probably make more typos at first, but maybe I can learn to adapt. I'm desperately trying to increase my typing speed and it seems like my Gateron blues and browns slow me down.
@@SwitchandClickOfficial Dang. I was hoping they would be easier/faster. That's interesting that you type faster on heavier springs. I guess I just need to keep doing Type Racer and just practice my butt off. ; ) (Also I changed to the Colemak layout and that has been a big adjustment)
@@SwitchandClickOfficial I'm going to have to try to emulate you fast typers somehow because I tend to keep my wrists really still and my fingers are mostly what are moving. Also whenever I try to type fast I make a lot of errors and that just makes my speed worse.

the aluminum finish is nice (didnt notice a choice for that for whre i bought it from) ; cool, lovely -- sturdy.
feelin' lucky this came out (in view of v1 pitfalls).
You can turn off the auto-sleep too, which is awesome.
Looking forward to the K2/6/8 comparison! I am considering the K8
Also has anyone had any problems with bluetooth connectivity? I know Hardware Cannucks said the k2 had some trouble connecting to his PC
If I switch it to cable mode and use it wired will it mess up the battery over time
Just got my K2 and you were right idk why I got the Blue switches regret it now my fingers hurt all the time other than that the keyboard is just like you said.
I have trouble understanding the differences between all the Keychrons. Browsing them on Amazon is frustrating.
gateron browns are soo goooddddd
Hey! Great review!!!!!!! You mentioned that keys usually get greasy and develop a shine after a while. Do you know where to buy replacement keys? Can you buy from basically anywhere or how does that work? :(
Kbdfans has a nice selection of keycaps that fit 75%.
Hello! After all, the keying sound is different between plastic body products and aluminum products. Iwas very helpful.
I just purchased the K2 V2.0 RGB model with the aluminum frame.
I have a few questions like does it have macros and if we plan to change the keycaps, how to know which kind of sets will fit it...I have been looking through many youtube videos but do not seem to find a clear answer to what kind of keycaps will fit a 75% keyboard.
"I am really not sure what kind of person blues are for."
I lost feeling in my left fingertips due to an unfortunate table saw accident 💀 and I don't have much feeling in them (as the nerves where severed). The blue keys help me to have a more tactile typing experience while giving me pressure and confirmation feedback with every keystroke. Reds are no doubt killer switches; however, I have far fewer missed and wrong key presses with the blue switches.
is it recommended clip and add silicon grease to stabs on clicky switch boards?
@@SwitchandClickOfficial ok
Is it possible to have white-only back lighting in the RGB keyboard?
Yes
Are the stabs plate mounted?
When the battery gets low does the keyboard have an indicator to tell you the battery needs charging?
Hey I was just wondering if you would choose this over the Epomaker EP84 now?
Think they'll ever make a hotswappable version of these?
If you had to choose between the keychrone K2 or the Royal Kludge RK84
