these videos really calm me when i’m sad or angry or have a headache. It makes me feel very peaceful and I like the keyboards. I became very addicted to making keyboards too.
@@Thatoneperson-that-you-know on amazon GMMK is like $54 rn so that’s a pretty good deal get some plain keycaps if you don’t care about style and some akko switches and thats like an 80-90 dollar keyboard
The poron PCB switch pads are the best investment for anyone on a budget. I put them on all of the switches in a Tester68 and it completely changed the whole sound profile.
You should have bought 20 water and sold it for 2 dollars each then you have forty buy forty waters and sell for 2 each then you have 80 and keep doing that process until you get one grand then buy the stuff you need
Best keyboard channel, i watched one video and now i am hooked. Switches, Keycabs, sound dampening foam lubing, one week before i had no idea now thanks to her i know so much. Thanks to the Prime deals i bought me some k552 Kumara (red switches) so just to mod it.
I wonder why my keyboard keys randomly stop reading my inputs, I bought this online (tm680) and used a pre-lubed set of glorious lynx switches, it randomly does it every time i turn on my pc.
Gloves are wise for installing your car sound foam. That adhesive will take off your fingerprints off if not careful lol. Seriously though don’t get it stuck to anything on accident.
Keyboard mods kinda remind me of people making speaker enclosures trying to tune the sound. I wonder if adding ports, waveguide stuff or messing with air volumes would do much. In speaker world the foam is kinda just emulating more air space
I am cross-eyed right now trying to choose a keyboard for gaming. Maybe you have already done this, but can you give some recommendations for gamers on what you would buy for the long haul. Price ranging from really cheap to like $150. What would be your golden picks for those trying to get an edge in gaming, but don't want to break the bank?
How... did you lose this challenge?! This was one challenge that clearly you won, the space bar on his was not that great. Yours was way more thocc-ier overall, and the spacebar/enter/ctrls sounded awesome -as if theyre the highlights pieces of the kb you made here.
I think she preloaded the voting, because it meant hubby could paint her face. The viewers just wanted to see that part. I agree though, her finished keeb is the winner. Sounds very nice.
could you pls try havit keyboards there from amazon and i kinda wanna see you try one as im currently using one as my main keyboard and wanna see how i can mod it
You can use super lube, which you have before, I didn't see the video but I saw your Amazon review (it said Betty and I could tell from what you had bought it was you). I'm lazy and didn't want to lube them traditionally, so I just put some lube on top of the stem? Where you put the keycaps on, anyways, then I just pressed it multiple times and to me it sounds almost indistinguishable from a traditionally lubed switch. As long as you don't over lube, if you do it sounds like playing with wet slime. It's kind of like spray lubing but much less messy.
Protip: I highly suggest looking into IXPE switch pads if you're aiming for a marbly sound like a PE foam! From what I heard poron switch pads are better if you want a silent build
I also seemed pretty interested in the skillshare. I did also see marques brownlee on like the 7th of June at sfo airport! Surprising how I was in the same flight as him
For the switch pads, couldn't you have put them on the switches first then put the switches onto the board so they would align and stick at the same time?
Hi switch and click I'm building my very own keyboard for the first time what kind of keycaps would be good great for akko 3068b with Outemu grey quiet switches
Random RGB like wave/breathing/cycling is not very nice it doesn't really go with anything but if you program them to be specific coulours or have specific patterns then RGB is good, if it's locked to patterns that just cycle colours then I think that's pretty bad in a keyboard. I like to use reactive/ripple effect and I have a white and pink theme to my pc and accessories so base as close to cherry blossom pink as I can get and then if I can choose the ripple colour a complementary light (almost white) blueish tealy colour, if I can't get a ripple then that's disappointing but if I can't set a specific colour and just have preset options that's bad. AFAIK with customs you generally use custom firmware so I'd assume that would give you full control of colours but I don't really want to commit the time to making a custom so I just buy pre-built. I used a moonlander for a couple years initially with cherry browns but changed to kailh box white and split keyboard and the thumb cluster is so nice but it just took up too much mouse space for gaming and I was wanting to try smoother linear switches so now I have a razer huntsman mini with the linear optical and they're really nice.
The pink keyboard that "doesn't sound too good" sounds nice to me idk
Same
Same she does have to make it better stabs are bad too
Still better than mine
I mean it doesn’t sound the bad stock, but if she actually modded better the stabs, it could’ve sounded way better.
Ye
0:02 ''it doesn't sound so good'' that literally sounds like my favorite switches
I wish everything was “$Free.99” 😂 I never expected $20.01 to go as far as it did!

that pink keyboard sounds better than literally any board ive ever owned :c

I actually find it easier to put switch pads on without removing the plate, that way they can be a bit of a guide
Betty be like “this keyboard doesn’t sound so good.” Me “this keyboard sounds the best I can’t believe it.”

“I can only use 20$ to upgrade this keyboard” (holds up 2 one dollar bills) 😂
Could you do a review of the new K70 PRO MINI from Corsair? It is their first hot-swappable keyboard.
Lmao it sounded better before the mods 💀💀💀💀💀💀
2:25 I have lubed my keeb with a REALLY thin layer with it and it's seems normal imo but that's because I am somewhat new in the keyboard community.
the pink and the lights were burning my eyes

The pink keyboard sounds really good in my opinion.

Great content you've got yourself a new subscriber
She never lets us down on a great video
tbh to me the pink keyboard sounded really nice actually!
I liked the sound of the pink keyboard.
Your make over went quite well too 👍🏻
The pink one was actually my preference! I’m impressed how nice you made it sound especially with such a low budget

Jake didn't do a bad job at the make-up. 😛 And if you had different keycaps, you'd definitely won. 😜 Was fun doing this collab with you!

I can't believe you have less than 200 subs
You know that you can go to something like aliexpress or some chinesse store and buy from there, it will be 50% cheaper
Ali express sometimes it takes 4-6 weeks deliver or their plastic stinks like real penetrant cheap plastic.
@@ibobeko4309 yea sure but i mean she spent $3.50 on keycap remover but on Ali or something you can find that for $0.20

Had a thought, could of used cut up foam pads for the plaster mod on the stabilizers, but this is my noob thinking?
i have verry big noob thinking because i thought she could buy gatron milky yellows
Switches don’t really need my lubing imo they sound amazing either way but the stabs tho lol that’s a while different case

I love how she says 20$ while holding 2 1$ bills 😂

The time it takes to put the switch pads on the bottom of the switch is probably more than just sticking them on the pcb
"I only have TWENTY DOLLARS" holds up two singles. XD
Can you use something like Plastidip spray or rubber cement on the bottom?
Wut about the steelseries apex pro upgrade?
