Hey, just got my K8 and wanted a setup tutorial, this is literally the first thing I'm typing with it. Ended up watching the whole video, super informative and even relaxing. Thanks!
I think the reason why the Keychron wrist rest is a little bit wider than the actual keyboard is because they made it with the aluminum version in mind. The aluminum version got pieces of aluminum slapped onto its side which make it a little bit wider than the default version and when paired with the wrist rest it would be a perfect fit.
Thank you so much for the review. I got one from a friend second hand and with no instructions. I really like it and so far haven’t needed a wrist rest.
Hey thanks this was super helpful, really well done on the video! Just got my K2 in after shopping around for a while, and couldn’t be happier with my decision. Definitely gonna pick up that Glorious wrist rest to go with it too!
Great video... Strange that the number of views and subs are so less. Your video's quality and presentation style is top notch. I see a bright future for this channel.
Thanks Caleb! The video was very informative and helpful as I have been looking at this brand of keyboards in the last week. Especially appreciate the advice/opinion on the wrist rest!
Good morning, I watched your video, it’s really fantastic! I had a question what is the length of the cable for the connection. Thank you for answering me. Sincerely,
The funny thing is that it's really frustrating to binge-watch yt videos about techs you want especially when you already know you won't be able to afford them any time soon.
Beware, they may use different wood from what they show online. I ordered from them specifically because of the dark brown walnut coloured wood they use, but low and behold, what I got was way lighter and exactly the kind of wood I wanted to avoid (it’s kind of a gross yellow; I’d post a picture if I could). Their response was that this is due to natural colour variations but I disagree, this is a completely different wood that’s being used. Or they used the wrong stain. Either way, it’s nothing like what they show online so expect huge variations in colour. I posted a review of this on their website but since I gave it 1-star, they deleted it. Their website reviews aren’t as honest as they appear because it’s curated for a certain outcome.
Thank you for the review. I haven't bought a palm rest since I've had the keyboard for a year, but I'm going through the ergonomics at my desk now and this is definitely a concern. I'm going to go with the keychron one!
yo Caleb, how do you do the customisation with home, end, pgup, pgdown? those are such helpful shortcuts would be keen to see how to set that up with the K2v2
I haven’t really had any issues with Bluetooth connecting to multiple computers quickly. And I run it wirelessly all the time. Just use the cord to charge it.
Just ordered the k2 v2 cant wait to get rid of this giant wired keyboard(Razer black widow) and gotta say when it comes to mice the mx master is the best imo I have 4 of them lol
I have the K2 V2 (Gateron Brown) and I get a slight ping on some of the keys. One other thing that I noticed is that the keys aren't perfeclty lubed, so some of them are a little squeaky. The stabilizers are okay.
This keyboard looks so aesthetically pleasing, but the Bluetooth is a mix bag especially when gaming I would often experience lag. Other than that, is a great keyboard.
The brown still looks solid and isn’t as “shiny” as the Glorious Gaming black one I have. I’ve gotten used to the smaller footprint and just keep it further back from my keyboard like I described.
Anyone know how to remove the feet? One of my keyboard's feet is placed in the wrong direction (the silicon pad is not facing down, and cannot use the smaller foot). I need to fix it. I've got this one for years, only notice this problem recently because it was a gift to me (I didn't research before buying), and didn't need to use these feet until now.
Hey, loved the video. I just got me K2 in the mail. So far I love using it on my Mac. I was wondering how you remapped the page up, down, home, and end keys to do window management? I think this is would be great for my workflow with this keyboard. keep up the great work!
I mean you can try any MX style keycap sets on Amazon granted that they have a 1.75u shift and a 1u control and alt. You can pretty much get those keycaps from some more higher end sets (>$60).
Is anyone facing any issue with this keyboard like usually people get with mechanical keyboards after using some time? Like - double click registering when clicked once or anything?
to anyone wondering if the logo on the wrist rest/palm rest stabs into the skin... it doesn't. the finish is smooth and friendly
I was just wondering that! Thank you.
Just ordered one so naturally I have to watch every video about it. Your video is very informative! Thank you😊
As a new user who just bought my first mechanical keyboard I find your video very much informative and it helps me. Thanks!
Glad it helped! This is the only mechanical keyboard I've owned or really even used.

Makes total sense.
Thank you! I got the K6, but you're the only video in English I could find that briefly goes over the set up:)
Thank you so much for the review. I got one from a friend second hand and with no instructions. I really like it and so far haven’t needed a wrist rest.
Thanks! Mine is coming Saturday. Hopefully I am happy with it.

Oh Lawd, I LOVE the click of those keys!
So satisfying.
got mine today with aluminim case with red switches its so nice now my 10 year old razer keyboard can restt
Thank you! You were the only one to go that detailed in the wrist rests and that saved me 30 dollars!
Glad I could help!

You’re welcome! Glad it was timely and helpful.
Got the brown switch version of the V2 for $50 on Amazon. Killer deal!
love the review! im looking for options and your vid just made me consider the k2 than the other 65%/75% on the market.
Glad it was helpful!
This is an awesome video, you have earned a subscriber! Excellent quality and talking points

super good vid! you my friend just gained a sub
The best review I have found! I'm looking to buy my first mechanical keyboard. How do you remap the Page Up/Down keys to manage your window sizes?
Within my window resizing app for Mac: BetterSnapTool.
Thank you for all the information.
Thanks for the video man .. exactly what I was looking for to buy k2v2
One question though ...what should be the height of wrist rest for this keyboard ? 2-3 cm?
Yeah. Whatever the dimensions of the two wooden ones I showed were work great for me.
Grats on your 50k subs man.
Thanks!
Excellent video, very clear and so helpfull, you has cleared my doubts, thanks.

On Mac I use “BetterSnapTool” and have those programmed through there.
@@CalebWojcik thanks bro why not Karabiner which is the recommended from Keychron?
@@skeche ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Just been using BetterSnapTool for years and does the trick.
Nice review!
Thank u sooo much! Love this keyboard to death but the Bluetooth is finicky. I also need a clean setup and prefer wireless

Great review.
great review
Are key presses any better or quieter? How are the stabilizers and ping noise?
I have the K2 V2 (Gateron Brown) and I get a slight ping on some of the keys. One other thing that I noticed is that the keys aren't perfeclty lubed, so some of them are a little squeaky. The stabilizers are okay.

I haven't had any lag issues to date.
,@@CalebWojcik Unfortunately I have but only when using it via Bluetooth.
Nice review Lex Luthor
Hey Caleb, how’s the Keychron Palm Rest holding out? Is the varnish on the wood fading?
The brown still looks solid and isn’t as “shiny” as the Glorious Gaming black one I have. I’ve gotten used to the smaller footprint and just keep it further back from my keyboard like I described.
@@CalebWojcik Perfect! Thanks.

I love keyboard videos.
One question. If my PC doesn't have built in Bluetooth, which Bluetooth adapter should I buy? Please help me
thanks for the intro

I used BetterSnapTool for my personalized window management shortcuts.
Is this the Hot-Swappable version?
I wanted to ask if the Keychron metal logo get's in the way at all? I would hate for my hand to rest on it. I wish they just left it plain.
Not at all. It is actually kind of "soft" as far as metal goes and it is way in the corner.
Just saw this. What happens if I already assign all 3 bluetooth devices to the keyboard and want to change one? Do I need to hard reset?
I think you just press and hold fn and the number for a while and it will reset that input.
@@CalebWojcik I'll check. Thank you for your response :)
This a non-hotswap?
I’m looking for custom key caps for my K2 any suggestions? Happy

I only subbed because we’re the same height
How much additional numeric keypad is needed to work in the video editor?
I don't use a standard number pad for video editing ever.
@@CalebWojcik In Adobe products very much shortcuts in numeric keypad.
I buy Logitech G915 (CLICKY) and think about Logitech Craft.
What you think?
"This one slides all over the place..." (as he slides it all over the place)
thx
if i have no bluetooth on computer can i plug a keyboard with charging cabel?
Yes
ty@@CalebWojcik
got one with red switchers
this guy thumbs are very cute.. very smol
Is this compatible with Linux? I am not a gamer. I am just looking for a keyboard that helps me with typing fast (let me add that I'm a programmer).
I’m not sure as I don’t use Linux. I’d check Keychron’s website or ask their support.
the k1 v4 worked perfectly with ubuntu 20.04 in a dell notebook
Would anyone know if the keychron k2 is compatible with a PS4?
Is anyone facing any issue with this keyboard like usually people get with mechanical keyboards after using some time? Like - double click registering when clicked once or anything?
I own 2 of them and haven't ever had that issue.
I cant for the life of me get the bluetooth to work right
9:30 if you're 6 foot 4 you can't tell people you have average sized hands. The average height of a person is 5 foot 6 you're no where near average.
Height maybe not, but I have regular sized hands.
When did you go bald?
I started shaving my head around 8 years ago.
@@CalebWojcik why are you even answering this ? xD
@@Rohan-qc8wo Because I saw it and like to interact with my audience/viewers. :)
