Just picked up our 2500 LT with the gasser.. I can't believe how strong it is with the Allison. Our gasser is 10850 GVW, 18400 max tow and 3540 Payload. I could not ask for anything more.
Just ordered a very similar truck today. Only difference is I got the leather package and kept the bench seat since we used it a lot in our old Tundra. Glad you’re happy with it!
You got the LT as well? I’m curious if that leather package is front seats only or are your rear seats leather too. The online build your truck makes it sound like it’s only the front seats with that option.
@@BlueCollar89 yes LT. I can confirm it’s leather front and back. Not the same leather as the LTZ and HC though. Those are perforated, mine is not. Ask anything else you want I’m happy to help.
Beauty of a truck & nice video. I've been looking for 4-5 months now. Have watched 4 different 2500s at 4 different dealerships all go within 2 weeks of finding them. I am completely amazed how quickly these HDs are selling at these insane prices AND especially these interest rates ! People are obviously ok with 1,000+ payments per month or paying for 7-8yrs I guess. Looking like I will order one eventually to get what I want.
You are right, it’s crazy how fast the GM and Chevy 2500 are moving. There is inventory of F250 and Ram 2500 out there. Yes I’m definitely happy with the purchase and ordering is always a good way to go. This truck just happened to have the exact options I was looking for. I wanted all the tow tech, big screen, cloth seats. I would love to have a diesel with leather int. But that’s not in the price range. This build hit all the options, price, and color I wanted. Tires are the only thing that will affect payload. This truck with the off road package still had one of the highest payload and towing out there. I know you can order the 2500 with a 1 ton frame. Seems popular with the camper crowd. You just have to watch your state laws for GVWR.
@@cabinviewventures Curious now you've had her a couple months more....what kind of mileage are you getting ? Mine is set to be built Feb 5th I believe. Hopefully it'll take a month + to get delivered so salt season is over & I can get it home dry. My 2016 will become the "beater" daily driver. It's a 1500 but has never seen the salt so it's really in great shape. I do worry tho about the 5.3 lifter issue. Any other thoughts/ideas on the 2500/6.6 gas would be appreciated.
Congratulations on your purchase. The wife and I were just looking at 3/4 tons last night. It is time for us to upgrade from our Ram 1500 into something more Heavy Duty. Thanks for sharing.
Same here, shopping for a 2500 silverado to replace my 2011 1500 Ram which by the way has been the best, most reliable and comfortable truck I've ever owned and I'll be dang sad to see it go. It only has 70000 miles and looks mint. Oh well, got my sights on the 2500 ZR2, yikes.
@@outfitr9703I too have a ram 1500 that has been bulletproof for me. That’s the only reason I’m looking at the ram 6.4 hemi 2500. But this Chevy sure looks good
Nice truck. I personally like the Ford F350 XLT Premium which is somewhat packaged like what you bought but then again Ford, GM and RAM all make nice trucks these days. I'm glad to see I'm not the only person that feels you have to spend $100k for coolness on a truck but is happy with just a well balanced package truck for a little more reasonable price (considering what everything cost these days).
If you build the truck on the Chevy website there are no options for axle ratio with the gas engine. 3.73 period! I have an 2024 LT and don't tow much so for fuel economy I would like a 3.42 BUT I bought an HD truck. Love it so far
Wondering why it says the interior is "Jet Black" ?? I think the interior you have is the "Gideon very dark"?? I'm not too sure but would like to hear what you think.truck looks awesome
@@cabinviewventuresone more question...does that center console come standard, regardless of the package chosen? I've seen another LT on a video, where it's missing. I'm trying to do my homework before I order lol
Was gonna buy one after selling my 2015 Silverado HD LT , but they wanted $14K more than my 15, so I bought a Tundra limited loaded for $62K, NO REGRETS
Curious if wheel size affects payload. Prefer 18" wheels & will add camper prep & max trailering pkgs to beef up payload. Do you wish you'd have just ordered your truck now or still happy you settled on this one ?
looking at the same truck in your color vs white? I want the LT as well. Can't pay $90K for a truck. What kind of MPG are you getting? Awesome choice you made in my opinion.
Thanks! This was a very unexpected purchase for me because I was really set on the F250. This truck was just much nicer in person. Fit and finish, materials and ride. Right now I’m at 600 miles. Averaging 12 mpg city and 14 highway. Not great but I have been towing and hauling light loads. I would expect 17 highway once it breaks in and hopefully 14-15 city.
That’s better than I was expecting. I’ve got the old 6.4 low up Ford diesel and am wanting to go back to a gas GM product. I just knew the 6.0 MPG was HORRIBLE.
My lifters in cylinder 1,2 went out at 3,854 miles. The Dealer is replacing all 16. Very disappointed. Hope it all comes out ok in the end. 2024 Chevy 2500 custom. Love the truck but not happy with the lifters going out already!
Is it possible to get a basic work truck these days? Is the LT the lowest trim level you can get, without the Z71 ? Nice truck Hope it serves you well for many years.
I only had about 500 miles but towed a light load, 2500 lbs. I think 1,000 miles is the magic number. I can’t imagine contractors of fleet buyers are doing a proper break in before towing.

That 10 speed Allison made a huge difference.
@@cabinviewventures I was saying this transmission needed to be in gas engine for the longest time and yet here we are finally GM doing it right.
Awesome Chevy thanks for this video
Glad you liked it!
You have a nice place and a good set - up for your family ! Well done - God bless America !
Thanks Bob we are always working on it!
Nice truck. I have a 2018 Chevy 1500 LT. This 2500 is my next truck hands down.
You won’t be disappointed. It’s a great truck!

Crazy how fast it changes. Now I can find 6500 in a 500 mile radius of me and they can be bought fairly easy at 10% under msrp.

There is a WT package, but you can also get the LT package WITHOUT the All Star package.
W/T, Custom, LT, LTZ, High Country. I think those are base to most loaded.
What brand of seat protector do you have for your car seats. Also have there cars seats.
Lusso gear car seat protector on Amazon. $29.95. They are thick and heavy duty. Thanks for watching and commenting!
yea i have a 2019 f150 xlt and that's the one thing i hate is the seat material. getting rdy to trade in for this same truck.
You’re going to love the new truck, congrats!
Nice truck

How do you adjusted bottom mirrors on this truck
They adjust manually. Kind of a pain trying to set the passenger side
That sucks I just bought a 2024 2500 I love something's and hate things like that
How long did you have to drive it before you could start towing with it
I only had about 500 miles but towed a light load, 2500 lbs. I think 1,000 miles is the magic number. I can’t imagine contractors of fleet buyers are doing a proper break in before towing.
It'd be a 3.42 rear axel ratio if you dropped below the 3.73.
Show me where you can choose an alternative axle ratio on a new GM truck…
If I get a Chevy/GMC I’m getting a diesel. If I go with Ford I’ll get the 7.3 gasser.
That 10 speed trans really woke up the 6.6L gasser but can argue against the duramax!
A 4WD with no rear lockers?
Chevy uses an auto locker
Halogen headlights and the hardest seats I have ever sat in are the 2 things Chevy failed BIG on .
The headlights are bad
Or if you bumped up for towing it'd be 4.10
No, no it wouldn’t.
Gas engine? wtf?! 😂😂😂
The 6.2 is a gas hog having to use 93 octane. Don’t know what octane the 6.6 uses most likely 93 octane. May as well go with diesel.
I think I read somewhere it takes regular 87
They are designed to run 87 octane and the 10 speed helps with fuel efficiency.
