I’ll never sell my 2020 GT350. Don’t even want an R. Had the 500. Last year of the GT350 was the bomb. Never selling it. I’ve had multiple Porsche 911s as well. Sold them all. The GT350 is amazing.

I have a 19 GT350 and love it. The stock cup 2’s are great tires for the track but not the best for the freeway. Tramlining like crazy. When my stock tires wore out I went with continental extreme contact sports and they eliminated the tramlining completely. Much better for daily driving and they wear better than the cup 2’s. I still smile every time I drive my car. Best of luck my dude!

I’ve had my ‘19 GT350 for 2.5 years now as a daily driver. I still love driving it as much as when I first got it. I changed the knob, did a resonator delete, as it’s just pure joy. I have Nitto’s on it and it drives very well (even in wet) with no tramlining. 28k miles and growing. I live in S Texas, so I can enjoy it all year long. The comfort seats are best for me. Not selling for a long long time. The 500 is certainly appealing, but I just can’t stomach the two pedal, dial on the console thing.

I bought a 2016 GT350 for 57k in September 2022 and only had 7,800 miles. I bought the ford ESP warranty so I’m good there. I bought a Billetzworks shift knob, I’d recommend that one. It’s nice and really weighted. I used to have a 2017 modded STi. Also a real driver’s car. But the Shelby Voodoo sound note is amazing that no other car in it’s price range compares. I also have a Mach E GT as the family suv.

For a start, take the 350 on the track! That will change your perspective. 350's do this thing called tramlining. You can get a bolt-on cross member to eliminate most of that front end issue. Also, I would have the alignment checked just to be sure. Personally, if I had both, the 350 would be the keeper.

There is no choosing between the two models. Remember this is America, Ben.

    • @BertShackleford
      @BertShackleford 11 месяцев назад

      @@tythegreatttg Shelby.
The only Saleen worth mentioning was the S7.
Fun Fact: When traveling at 160 mph or higher, the S7 will create downforce equal to its own weight, theoretically allowing it to drive upside down.
Saleen was/is a tuner company while Shelby will always be a builder. Furthermore, having met the legendary Carroll Shelby at Barrett-Jackson back in the day (another bucket list achievement); my heart will _always_ favor Shelby.
It's also worth mentioning that I drove an eleven second (11.71@121mph to be exact) 1968 Mustang Restomod back in the day. So I'm naturally inclined to prefer Shelby over a tuner company but I digress.
After all, one of my classic bucket list cars is the 1968 Shelby GT500KR in Acapulco Blue with white Shelby stripes. I have a diecast of all the cars that will inevitably end up in my garage including the aforementioned GT500.

I have a 22 GT500 and just got a 16 GT350, both regular models and both have heated and cooled comfort seats. It might be weird for me to say, but I actually think it’s easier to drive the 350, for some reason. It feels like the 350’s turn in is quicker than the 500, and the wheels actually turn more than the 500 as well. The turning radius on the 500 is horrible! I have to back up a little sometimes because it won’t make the turn. Besides looking very similar, both are pretty different cars. While in the 500 you’d think since it’s supercharged you have power at any RPM but I agree with you, it feels like you really have to get to high revs to feel the car moving. Weird feeling. Maybe they did it for fuel economy and to avoid using the supercharger at lower revs, but in the 350 I start feeling the torque at around 3k RPM. Both cars have awesome factory exhausts that you can hear inside the car in Track mode with music on (normal and sport exhaust modes in 500 are good at higher RPMs, but at lower RPMs you don’t hear it that much). Both cars have factory tires (PS4S in 500, and original PSS in 350 lol) and they both seem to tram line about the same. I can’t get used to the rev matching in the 350 so far, I’ve only had it for 3 days, I guess I let off the clutch too soon. Hopefully I’ll get used to it soon. DCT in 500 is awesome and I drive it in manual mode a lot. Can’t say which I like more, both are freaking awesome!

Congrats on your purchase! After driving the 350, I chose that over the 500. There is absolutely no way to beat the visceral driving experience of the 350. It’s just a pure, raw sports car. I may be old school in my thinking, but no legit sports car should be an automatic (flame suit on lol).

Yeah I was wondering why the commentary on the suspension. Since it is Magneride suspension it’s adjustable. The tramlining itself to take on road curvature is a different matter. That does make it squirrelly on straights. Great overview though. I’ve driven several and love them.

You need to learn the basics of the car before reviewing it. The "extension" as you call it on the rear spoiler is called the Gurney flap and is designed for downforce. What you call "all over the place" is a car tramlining. The tramlining on GT350 was caused by the front tires of Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2, which was designed for track driving not for street driving. I had these tires on my GT350 and when I switched to more street-driving tires Michelin Pilot Super Sport, the tramlining disappeared.

The front end could have been wrecked no reason not to handle well. Any damage under %25 of the value of vehicle has no need to inform owners. Only original owners get access to TSB and get replacement or fixed. Be careful with used

There will never be another Voodoo engine, and keep this one with you Ben. Sell the rest as you need to but the 350 needs to stay.
Edit: yea the Gurney Flap on the GT500 wing is cool, the Mach’s are gray and the Shelby’s are black. The only “downside” is one less MPG or something like that.
