- Happy Friday, everyone! Welcome back to Azeroth. Today, I start to document my journey from 1-60 by questing ONLY in the Eastern Kingdoms! Just a dwarf and his boar companion in a wide world of adventure. My knowledge of the game was sure put to the test...

I love these creative ideas you come up with! What about leveling a class who’s been cursed to wear weaker armor? A warrior who can only wear mail/leather, or a rogue who can only wear cloth? Not sure how that’d fit into one of your stories, maybe you can come up with something.
This is definitely intriguing, although there's a wild range of possibilities: on the easy end a beast mastery hunter wearing leather, on the other end a combat rogue wearing cloth; I might be wrong but I don't recall many cloth items with the right stats for the job. To make it spicy I'd try something in between though!
Could also just take inspiration from the challenges on the Hardcore addon, which is where I thought his idea of doing 1 continent came from.

@therealdoc I actually was halfway through the challenge when I heard about that "Homebound" challenge on the real hardcore addon! Total coincidence XD
A sort of inverted version of this is to peioritize any quest that sends you out of your current zone. You can go back, but have to follow the pingpongs at least.

For the Kalimdor only challenge, an orc or troll warlock would be a good bet when you get to the point of having to do quest several levels above your own level. You wouldn't be able to get all of your demons but really all you need is a voidwalker for leveling. Honestly though any class would be interesting.
I was thinking about that too... warlock and hunter sure make elite mobs easier to deal with! ;)
I’ve done the Homebound hardcore challenge on Kalimdor as a Night Elf. A lot of grinding, but one of the best experiences I’ve had in the game! You really get to experience every nook and cranny of the continent
I'm glad to hear it! :) I had fun too... I didn't even realize Homebound was a real challenge until halfway through my own run XD
The only thing I didn't like about this video was how short it is ;-; I'd watch the hell out of some long-form challenge run vids from you!

Great video! I think doing this as a night elf on kalimdor would be super fun, I always enjoyed the forest/national park aspect that the continent had. Makes solo adventures feel more alone and explore-y, whereas eastern kingdoms feels more like modern townships If that makes sense
You're reading my mind haha, I actually thought of extending my "Seven Wonders" series to include some type of "National Parks"! XD ...thanks for the comment. :)

One question I always have in mind with this kind of challenge is "what do you consider as farming?". Because my experience learned me to fear the lack of quests, so I can't stop myself to kill ennemies when they are well packed when I see them (if they give XP). It's like a calculation of cost of time for how much XP : if it's above the average and your CD are up it will be sad to waste an XP opportunity, right? But if I think about how much I do this in one day, and how much I do this in one month, I don't know the difference about my "instinctive FOMO" and an opportunity to kill mobs in loop. Some people are just used to do something : I never killed mobs in loop but some people did so in their minds, it can as well be a XP opportunity to not miss. So : what do you consider as farming?
Great point! That rule was definitely a bit loose for me, but I thought of it as not going for mobs that were A) not required for a quest, or B) not directly in my way. So naturally I would sometimes have to take out a bear or wolf that was on my way to an actual quest objective, but I tried to be direct and not intentionally take "the long way" to farm unnecessary mobs if that makes sense. Probably hard to judge in some cases but I tried my best XD
Not sure if it has ever been done before but how about only leveling in water from 1-60. There are a few quests in the water and along the shores which can be done I think while still swimming.

Lol thats been my leveling experience for almost my entire wow tenure of nearly 15 years. I was never much of a fan of kalimdor and always stayed in eastern kingdoms until 58.

Do you think the one continent challenge would be easier or harder on Kalimdor? Would things be switched if you were playing as a Horde character?
I think Eastern Kingdoms as Horde will be the hardest possible combination.
1.) I am curious to find out! Kalimdor has Un'Goro, Silithus, and Winterspring as 50-60 zones instead of the Plaguelands and Blasted Lands (which hardly has anything), so I am thinking the final push to 60 might be easier! We shall see...
2.) I think I will go Horde for Kalimdor but I may change my mind on that! EK Horde would definitely have hurdles at 20-30 and again at 50-60, so EK Alliance is easier since you are pretty much set from 1-45. :)

Haha, there are definitely some cool spots in it! As a kid I would always get frustrated there so it kind of leaves a bad taste in my mouth to this day, but I will definitely give it another chance soon XD

During BFA I got to 100 without leaving eastern kingdoms by stacking exp buffs and doing cooking and fishing dailes. Mostly just because my internet was causing content to bug out at the time.

Now do the level 1 northrend explorer by exploring the whole continent on a level 1 character. This means:
- no help from others
- no heirlooms
- no leveling (besides getting xp from exploration in northrend)
- (optional) disable xp in Orgrimmar/Stormwind
I did it on my troll priest within about 12 hours. It was a lot of fun to figure out how to get the harder places (especially in Icecrown and Storm Peaks)

I agree with others: it's something I wouldn't have thought of. But while watching I was figuring out the how in my head, full of doubts. You proved it possible, I was wrong 😀
Since the no farming is an assumption you made, maybe if the other constraint were not "the other continent does not exist" and instead it's like a foreign land where you can't start questlines (you are a stranger?) however you can carry on the ones from your "homeland" as an envoy of sorts ..maybe it's easier, maybe you can't get all the way to 60 but be closer
..or maybe there's some 1 continent rule I don't know and I've just wasted electrons 😀
That's a very cool idea! Like having to follow the breadcrumb quests but you can't intentionally go there without an objective... I love it! :D

Yeah, I am kinda trying something different.
Even though I am playing in a private server, I'm trying to get Loremaster Achievement in Wrath of the Lich King Expansion, and bro, it's a hell to get that achievement!
(Mind thst later I will transfer my character to another Legion private realm just for then I get the Loremaster in Legion 💀)

Very interesting. For Kalimdor i would assume a horde toons though i like the allied path for Nelfs that leads you up to Ashenvale and though they have some low level stuff around ratchet im not sure if its enough to push you though into Stone Talon and Desolace quest wise . As for race and class a Tauran Shammy or druid would be pretty good but some of their class quests may be undoable as u have to go across the world for some parts . I think Trolls can be mages and they are pretty good for solo stuff

Awesome vid man! Though out of curiosity what server did you do this on? I’m always wondering to myself whenever I watch stuff like this. Also you should try out Turtlewow if you’re looking to do some vanilla+ stuff, I’ve been having a blast there recently with the new content
I play on a Wrath private server that's run by a friend of mine... super small and low-key which is how I like it. I've heard TurtleWow is awesome... maybe I will try sometime! :D

Whatever race/class you play, I'd go horde. Horde ha sway more options on Kalimdor than Ally
I think I would definitely go Horde just for the variety... but yes, the quest options on Kalimdor would be better as well!

Its really interesting seeing the different self enforced challenges people come up with, though people who make their channels out of constantly doing these kinds of challenges in pokemon, wow, fallout/skyrim, etc seem like they're just professionally kicking themselves in the dick constantly suffering for youtube content. I'm curious what other people view it as
Haha, this is the first time I've done a challenge like this so it hasn't been too bad for me personally... I definitely respect those who can go all the time in Hardcore and play all sorts of extra challenges :o
For Kalimdor I suggest a Tauren, the one peaceful race of the Horde, and would almost for the theme if they voluntarily choose to stay in their continent or would not dare cross the sea by boat or zeppelin. As for the class, I would say druid, but I know some class specific quests will ask to travel to the other continent so sadly, that's a no-go. I would say Shaman, but again not sure if they suffer the same issue of having class specifics sending you to Kalimdor. If not, that could be a good option.

@@Jediwarlock believe all classes have you sent to the opposite continent at one point or the other. It's a matter of fact if you are willing to sacrifice not gaining that ability or spell. If not just go plain white bread as an Orc Warrior. But thematically I think a Tauren would make sense that voluntary would rather stay in Kalimdor. And the Lore reason of it getting sea sick both on boat or zeppelin is funny and reasonable realistic.
@@Jediwarlock oh! Before I forget!! Since its Horde, "the baddies", it makes sense that this time you wait until Hallows End for the extra exp across all inns (in Kalimdor) keep that in mind.
Looking at Varian made me notice you're playing on a Wrath Server? That nerfs a lot of the content and makes it easier.
Yes, you are right.. I play on a Wrath private server to film most of my videos. However, since I'm pretty much alone I wasn't able to do a lot of the group/dungeon content which gives a lot of XP so I think it kinda balances out. :)

I actually play on WotLK Classic! :) So mounts at level 20... I sometimes just refer to it as Classic in general so sorry for the confusion!
