  • This is a POV of the Lola side of Twisted Sisters, a dueling CCI creation which opened in 1998. Video was taken on the closing day of the '98 season where I marathoner with some other coaster enthusiasts where we ended up with riding 113 times between the two different sides. The Lola side was converted over to a steel coaster from RMC in 2016. The Stella side was scrapped.

      Indeed it is! It doesn't feel that way at all.

    I remember riding this back when the park was run by Six Flags. It's since been replaced by Stormchaser.

    You can tell this is the side that they converted to Storm Chaser. Thank god they did this ride looked like a rough POS

    • @SeanFlaharty
      @SeanFlaharty  2 года назад +1

      I didn't find the ride to be very rough. The day I recorded the POV, I ended up riding that over 110 times between the two sides. That was also the first wooden coaster to use the Gerstlauer trains. I know they sometimes aren't looked at all that great, however, I had no issues with them during all my rides on this coaster.

    I'm guessing this ride was pretty good when it originally opened? It seems like a lot of the steel structure CCIs got rough (and also ran Gerstlauers).

      It wasn’t too bad. I had stopped going to KK when it became SFKK so I can’t comment on how bad the rides had gotten. I had heard it was very rough. Technically speaking, I believe this was the first all-steel RMC coaster as it didn’t have wooden supports to use or replace.

      @CanobieCoaster 3 года назад +1

      @@SeanFlaharty I thought they used some wood in sections, but it was mostly steel since Twisted Twins had the steel supports? I know this one got rough per the latest Mitch Hawker poll.

      @@CanobieCoaster I don't remember wood supports at all, but I honestly didn't know every part of the ride like some folks did.

    Vintage chemtrail! When was this filmed, in 1998?

      Yep. I recorded this on closing day of the '98 season.

      @@SeanFlaharty This is the oldest recorded Chemtrail that I have seen!

      I don't know when the whole chemtrail interest came from in today's world but I grew up in Ohio and have seen those since I was old enough to remember anything. Are those not see everywhere?

    Despite this coaster being a CCI, it looks *R O U G H*
    That may be because of the old camera though which caused it to shake.

    • @SeanFlaharty
      @SeanFlaharty  2 года назад

      It wasn’t a super rough ride. The camera didn’t have the stabilization features like todays cameras have.

      CCIs can be very rough, the Villain at Geauga Lake was a CCI and it's one of the worst coasters I have ridden

    Is this from when they were with six flags before that tragic accident on superman

    • @SeanFlaharty

      The park built the coaster before the park became a Six Flags park. The park was only a Six Flags park for a few months before this video was taken. I recorded this on the closing day of the 1998 season.

    Unfortunately I didn't make it down to KK until the year after they closed. Would've been cool to have been able to experience the before and after of the Lola side when it became Storm Chaser eventually.

      This was shot in 1998 on a 8mm camera. The quality wasn't the greatest back then.
