Welcome to Australia...Things may seem a bit expensive but you have to remember that $1 Aud = 65c Usd also you don't have to tip...Enjoy the rest of your time in Aus.
YES, we definitely figured that out after a few days, Australia is actually very affordable and can't wait to get back again 👍 Thanks for the comment and watching we really appreciate it!!
It was AMAZING! We will be back to spend a lot more time enjoying your beautiful country ✌️ thanks for the comment and watching we really appreciate it 🩵💚🧡
Let me know when you do and I'll run you around some amazing places you didn't get to. Drop me a line here when you arrive and I'll give you my email. @@JohnAndTeriJustGo
you two are cool as... But we don't call it the Subway!!! You were in Central Station!!! I used to ride a dirt bike opposite the Blue Mountais view you had.. I know all the tracks out there!!.. rode them for 20 years... YHA. that freaked me out.. as I will be in Bondi the week after next and Melbourne this weekend... not alone.. but with 2 Yanks as well.. 2 ladies... gonna be fun!!! I know Sydney like the back of my hand and I know Melbourne and have one brother living there and 2 others outside in Vic... They have never met an Aussie before... and I'm a Kiwi as well! I have dual citizenship... Will be a rip snorter as we say!!!
Dude, sounds amazing!! We learned that Aussies called things by different names after a few days! Can't wait to get back again to both Australia & NZ✌️Thanks for the comment and watching we really appreciate it..
LOL - I see you met our Sydney thunderstorms. Usually we'll get them after a hot day or after a couple of hot days and then they'll roll in in the afternoon to cool things down.
Now you know why Sydney is the Best spot to be on New years eve. Its the pefect venue for firework shows. 2000 Sydney Olympics was just as good and i was lucky enough i was driving over the harbour bridge just as the fireworks came down the harbour and tbe bridge started going off. Glad you like the lucky country. 😎
It was a bucket lister that will be impossible to top on NYE, anywhere!!! We absolutely love Sydney & all of Australia 💚 Thanks for the comment and watching we really appreciate it 👍
1000% agree. After a couple weeks we started to see that between the value of the USD, no tipping & very high quality service, AU turned out to actually be a value! Thanks for the comment and watching we really appreciate it 👍
Its great to see all the places you have lined up for your visit, but as usual, most tourists seek the sun and the beaches of Mainland Australia, so they overlook the most temperate and diverse beauty of Tasmania, where one 1/4 of the state, or 1.5 million hectares is UNESCO listed World Heritage Wilderness Forest, and we also have the best seafood in Australia. Most tourists think it's just a little island, but it's the same size as West Virginia, with a population of only 550,000. Oh well, next time. Happy and safe travels.
We will be back to Melbourne and DEFINITELY spend time in Tasmania 🤘 we didn't plan enough time that trip, but it's on the list... Thanks for the comment and watching we really appreciate it!
Hello!!! YES, we have it on our bucket list for next year. We will spend another month in Australia and see some smaller towns 🇦🇺 Tha k you for the comment & watching, we really appreciate it 👍
To say the price of something in Australia is expensive you are forgetting there is no tax added at the cash register and there is no tip required as the service staff are paid $21 an hour.
That is 1000% correct, and we realized that along with the US dollar being strong!! Australia was vert affordable in the end 💪 Thanks for watching & subscribing we really appreciate it!
@@JohnAndTeriJustGo if you can try a beer from my neck of the woods , James Boag’s Draught, Tasmanians finest originated from Scotland, usually 4.6 % ABV 👍
@@JohnAndTeriJustGo I've recommended your vlogs to my niece from Grand Rapids as she is moving here for a working holiday and I felt you guys showed the essence of Australia brilliantly
Not bad, after weeks in Australia we realized with the USD conversion, no tipping, it was actually very reasonable for food in AU 👍 Thanks for the comment and watching we really appreciate it!

Don't get caught up in the dollar for dollar thing as the USD is worth way more. Also most people don't tip and the price shown is the price you pay.

2 drinks and 2 mains for $65 seems reasonable for a grown adult to deal with.
