The reason why shuri met killmonger in the astral plane is because the herb knew it's what she needed to be aggressive in that moment against Namor, Without that aggressive push she would have been passive and lost to him. Technically the advise given was positive , because it moved her anger and pushed her as a character

Nah it's more like what she was feeling in her heart it resonated with what Killmonger would also do in her situation and her other family members won't do, that's what she saw, and she was ashamed of it that to her what she felt was the right thing to kill Namor but then why was she seeing Killmonger, why when she is avenging her family, why aren't they there to support her. So this made her to question her decision, if what she wanted to do, made her see Killmonger in the first place the. decision right in the first

The opening logo with Chadwick Boseman felt a different type of quietness. It felt much more grand and emotional and you could feel the emotion around you even with it being quiet. I give all my respect to the people working on the film, I can’t imagine how hard it must’ve been to film the opening.

Definitely in my top 5 MCU villains. I also loved the lesson of this movie, which is dealing with grief. I almost cried at the beginning. And the way Shuri just cried 😭. Perfect acting. The ending did also set up a potential Namor movie where his people and possibly Attuma take the throne. Great movie! 9/10.

Killmonger being who Shuri saw in the ancestral plane was key. Going in, she was understandably consumed by revenge. She lost the last piece of her family, and she wanted revenge at any cost. Killmonger being there forced her to make a choice for herself in regards to which path to go down. That hits way harder than having Ramonda in the ancestral plane instead just telling her what to do.

It was the ancestral plane trying to show her what she thought she wanted by showing her the villain- then him telling her theyre the same! Oh, yeah, no, I absolutely loved this movie. The Chadwick thing is handled very tastefully, there wasn't actually a same v same final climax battle, which made it feel kinda off, but like, good off, and the Killmonger stuff, omg, I love it!!!! I think Letitia is awesome in this, I think Shuri was great, I think this happening how it has has made it feel more real than if there was a proper trilogy where Shuri ascends after 3, this feels more grounded, it feels more somber, more raw and emotional, it's truly a reflection of the world right outside the window. Death happens, and everything that comes with it, and I think the whole cast resembled that completely, but especially Shuri. I'd easily rate Wakanda Forever an 11/10

His words were "are you gonna be noble like your bother, or are you gonna get things done, like me." This isn't me being 100% but maybe that was just what she needed to hear especially since it came back in that final act.

I personally enjoyed Wakanda Forever. The performances were great, and I liked a lot of the ideas and scenes.
But, in my opinion, the story became muddled, causing potentially interesting and impactful plot points getting little to no development.
I just felt it needed to dive deeper into it's themes in order to be truly moving and powerful. I expected to cry more, honestly. They just didn't go far enough with the themes of grief and moving on. It hardly felt like a tribute.
I was just slightly disappointed. I expected so much more. However, I still like the film, and I hope we get a director's cut one day.

My 28th birthday is only one week away and it was fantastic!!!! It was one of my most highly anticipated movies of 2022 and it didn't disappoint me. You can tell a lot of time and effort was put into this film. It was a labor of love. It was visually stunning, the acting was stellar especially from Angela Bassett and Lupita. I really enjoyed the action sequences, the flashbacks, the story/plot, Nemar and his people's universe and motivation. This film is so emotional and therapeutic. It has elements of the original but it feels different too. I love the surprise mid-credit ending too. I definitely will watch this movie again my birthday weekend. This film gets a 7.5 out of 10 for me. It maybe the best Marvel film of Phase 4, it's in my top five favorite Marvel movies of all time and I may like it more than the original one. I think the whole Killmonger Sheri moment was more like where her heart was at. I mean she didn’t really believe in the spirits. So she didn’t find T challa and her father T Chaka her mind was else where. So instead of getting advice from her mother, brother or Father. It was her crazed Cousin. Which was a shock because he wanted her to be aggressive like him. But at the end she finally got the passive vision of seeing her mother as she wanted. I really was hoping to see T challa again some how. I hope we get to see him in the future.

The "growing up outside" point is an idea that didn't quite register upon first thought, but it does make sense (as well as draw from rhe canon in a real way too).
Only rub is that Toussaint/T'Challa of T'Challa was born outside of Wakanda, with the only people having firsthand of his progeny being King T'Challa (deceased), Nakia, and Queen Mother Ramonda (deceased).
Shuri believes what Nakia has told her, and maybe ToT will have held onto his great grandfather's ring (like N'Jadaka did), but there'd end up being a whole lot of convincing to let another Wakandan by blood, draw near to the thrown, after spending next to no time in Wakanda.
He gets to Wakanda before he's a teenager, maybe he breaks that unknownness (the River Tribe will know their child, The Council will be informed of his progeny and hopefully accept it, and King M'Baku will get a direct opportunity to know the son of the man who dragged him out into the world (and a viable regent for his behalf, assuming M'Baku doesn't get a family and produce an heir of his own).
    A fun thought exercise
