I don’t ever cry during movies, but this movie broke me completely. Bawled my eyes out 3 times or more, i am so happy that the man who made this is now in control of DC
I only teared up a little with Rocket's backstory, what made me start sobbing was Drax playing with kids in the cage. All that was running through my mind is 'He gets to be a father again' Also the legendary starlord is a reference to a comic run titled 'Legendary Starlord'
yes! same! i was just telling my girlfriend which part made me cry and just trying to explain that Drax tried to cheer the kids up had me choking up. it’s so touching and i’m so glad that they reminded us one last time is that he’s a loving father
The scene with Rocket dying and seeing his friends in heaven until he's pulled back out of the Afterlife and he's alive and a crying Quill and Groot hug him made me cry. MY LITTLE RACCOON COULDN'T DIE!!! And also the scene where Rocket finds the cage he once got pulled from and he decides to help those cute little fella's escape, essentially his brothers and sisters...man the tears kept coming from behind my 3D-glasses...this movie is easy the best movie I've ever seen, and as a die-hard Spider-Man-fan, this movie easily surpasses Spider-Man: No Way Home. On a 5-star-rating, I'd give it a 6. On a 10-star-rating, I'd give it a 11. The best (Marvel) movie of all-time!
Just finished watching the movie today with my friends and I cannot express how *depressing, immense, action-packed and emotional* this final film was! Probably my favourite MCU film now!
I really felt satisfied. Not a lot of movie trilogies end the way you want or even positive. I know people will complain about the fact that none of the Guardians die but I really felt happy, it didn’t have to do that just to make you emotional. Speaking of the emotional parts, I did shed two tears (When the friends die and he just breaks down and slashes the High Evolutionary half to death and when he visited them in that Limbo state). Those scenes were so perfectly done and even though I cried, it was more of just an acknowledgment of the gravity of those scenes (if that makes sense). Overall, I loved it. Definitely was not expecting a lot of it and every character got their time to shine as the main character!
Seeing quill go back home had me in tears, i never wanted the guardians to split up, and I was upset when they did, but it’s good to know these amazing characters are safe from harm
The intro is so accurate. I’ve been listening to that song nonstop whilst crying in between. This is legitimately my new favorite movie Marvel has put out in the last three years. Heartbreaking, scary, and bittersweet, but still funny, happy, and fun. The perfect send off to Marvels best family.
God. My 2 friends and I almost started crying multiple times in the theater. When I heard Yondu say to Kraglin “Use your head, boy.” I nearly started full on crying.
They kept almost killing Drax, then thought that it might be over for Rocket because so many people kept saying they would die. The Quill one had me on edge, I think they did all that on purpose. Im glad they didnt die. And Nebula is now my favorite Guardian, I loved her in this movie.
This is and spider man no way are the best two movies since endgame. This is my favorite guardians of them all. The jokes were awesome, the action was great and the story was gut punching and beautiful. I teared up in so many moments in this movie. The love these characters have for each other is amazing to see and I love them all.
Chris Covello COULDN'T agree MORE! This Movie was a Cinematic MASTERPIECE and it had ABSOLUTELY everything!! SO sad, SO touching, SO beautiful, SO heartfelt, just the right amount of Humor and action mixed in for good measure, but they never overpower, or take away from the HEART and SOUL and scope of it!! 💔😭
I have to say for Nebula. I loved her in this movie. And like she made me cry when they're on the High Evolutionary's ship. And then when they hear Rocket is okay. And seeing her choke up in tears, actually got me. Like she really does care for the team now and sees them as her new family when her old family. Well, it is the reason why she's more robotic than organic. But man. I'm tearing up when typing this. Damn it James Gunn. You did it again. Where I can't discuss a scene without tearing up. This goes with the Yondu funeral and the beginning of Guardians 1 of making me cry just thinking about it.
I teared up 3 times during my this movie. This movie reminded me how much I love not only comic book movies but just storytelling in movies in general! I really loved it❤
I started to tear up like 5 times 1 the beginning scene 2 rocket getting hurt by Adam warlock 3 rocket 1st words it hurts 4 lyla death 5 Star lord almost died in space
I loved this movie so much, from the soundtrack, the visuals, the writing and the amazing cast & introduction of some characters. Adam Warlock was great though I wanted more. Rockets back story was so worth the wait I can’t believe how sad it was🥺 the High Evolutionary was a menacing villain who they didn’t try to make sympathetic he was just evil. Peter going back home was one of the things I really wanted from this movie I really hope we see him interact with more earth hero’s in the future. The music was so amazing I had the soundtrack stuck in my head for like a month, that dog days scene😭 and also I loved how they handled gamora they didn’t do too much
My only nitpick about the movie involving Rocket is that I wish they had showed how Rocket and Groot met, as well as have Groot be the catalyst to remind Rocket the most as to why he had to live despite his regrets. Because in a majority of the MCU, Rocket and Groot were seen as an inseparable duo, but this was the first guardians movie that seemed like they forgot that relationship, and it made me feel a bit that Groot wasn't as important to Rocket as he was from the beginning to Endgame. But again it's a nitpick. This movie was phenomenal, and while I still don't like James Gunn leading DC Films, but I do think this was James Gunn's best movie so far.
Good point. My only nitpick was starlord not wearing his signature helmet with his already comic accurate suit especially the epic climax part where the gangs fight together
I was ugly crying to the MAX during baby Rocket’s scenes especially when he was crying about the pain😭 This was a great balance of both action, heart, seriousness, drama and no real safety of the characters. This was a perfect trilogy and I definitely cannot wait to watch this again. I’ll be emotional regardless, but I want to experience it again!
The Guardians Trilogy is so special. And I was so happy they used THAT song during the mid credits scene, was waiting and waiting for them to bring it out again. James Gunn just gets it.
The movie was great idc what the critics said it had a perfect balance of dark and humor. I cried sm like 6 times and it’s been awhile since an mcu movie has gotten me to cry. I knew James Gunn was not gonna disappoint me. It was a 9/10 for me.
One of the parts of the movie that made me really like Nebula was when Rocket spoke and she realized he was alive and well and got emotional. Shows how much her character has changed and grew attached to the Guardians
The only considerable issue I had is that Star-Lord seemed kinda underdeveloped. He had some good moments, but that almost-death scene at the end kinda felt like it came out of nowhere because I never got the sense that he, of all people, was in danger throughout the movie. When that space freezing moment happened, I was just sitting there like “Oh, he’s dying? There wasn’t really anything that lead up to thi- oh nevermind, he’s fine.” Also, I could have sworn he was out there for longer than it took Yondu to die the same way.
I disagree I did, I thought he was going to die as soon as he went back for the Zune I thought oh no this is obviously how it has to happen. And then I'm thinking where is Warlock, where is his mask, as his face is getting all puffier and puffier, I'm like nah he's gone, than Warlock came and I'm like this is a passing the torch scene, than he woke up like, Did that look cool and I smiled and realized wow this is about to have an unexpected happy ending.
The movie was an emotional rollercoaster ride. I teared up when Rocket and his friends started giving themselves names. Then I teared up again when his friends died (especially Floor). But what broke me when Rocket asked Lyla if he can go with them into the Blue sky, especially when he saw Floor and Teeth waving to him. Damn his backstory was really sad. So I'm glad Starlord was so pissed off at the dude once he learned what Rocket had been through. I LOVED this movie and it was the perfect trilogy. 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
GOTG Vol. 3 is by far the best MCU movie. The movie really made me laugh and also cry. I’m surprised they actually went a little dark with this MCU movie, but I absolutely love it. I wish every MCU movie was like this. But it sucks that we probably wouldn’t be seeing Gamora, Mantis, Nebula, or Peter anymore. But I do hope they continue with this new team for GOTG. This is 10 out of 10 MCU movie.
this film really plays with your heart. Great ending to the guardians we were first introduced to. Whatever happens with the new guardians and old from now, I'm happy we can see this as the "ending"
Bro this movie had me crying so much. It was a wonderful conclusion to the trilogy. So many satisfying character moments. My theatre stood up and clapped when it was over. Easily an 8/10.
I broke down when rocket escaped the high evolutionary when he finally rode in a rocket and knowing damn well he wished he had Layla tooth and floor with him that was the final emotional punch
This is a small takeaway from this movie, but I thought the moment where Rocket drops his full name was so earned and badass. And that part where Drax addresses the children in the villain’s ship is so meme worthy.
This one is definitely one of my favorite mcu movies, it was funny, it was filled with action, and it was emotional, James Gunn is a genius, I LOVED Chukwudi Iwuji's performance as the high evolutionary, 10/10 movie imo
Rocket being sent back from heaven, and the group hug when he finally woke up almost made me shed a tear. He had to leave the family he had (Lyla, Teeth, etc) to be with the family he currently has (Guardians). It was similar to the scene in Deadpool 2 where Vanessa told Wade to leave heaven to be there for Cable, Domino, Russel, etc. My jaw dropped when Groot finally said something that wasn't "I am Groot." Just like a lot of people, I was expecting (kinda hoping) at least one of the Guardians to die. I'm not heartless or anything, but it would've made sense since the first two movies ended with a sacrifice. For instance, if Peter died, he could've been reunited with his mother. If Drax died, he could've been reunited with his family (which would've been a more satisfying ending for him). Or what if Rocket died saving the raccoons and all the other animals? That way he sacrificed himself to prevent them from ending up like him. I agree with you on the setting up part, I'm also glad this movie didn't rely on setting anything big up to get us excited for future movies, like Quantumania did. It was a self contained story and that's all it needed to be. Even though the Guardians are a part of a shared universe, I always thought of them as a standalone team.
I legitimately think that this movie was good. I definitely cried in certain scenes I'm not gonna deny that. There was a scene that made me get rage full which is where rocket and the main villain face off and he's gettin thrown all over the room. I legit had 2 keep my cool bc i was gettin angry in the cinema😂 that's how well they set em up
I've never cried more than once watching a marvel film until now, saw it last night and it is definitely in the top 5 for me. Loved every minute of this movie, I'm hoping we do see the newest guardian team on their adventures and could be titled 'the new guardians' but overall this film was a blast
The way Nebula reacts when she hears Rocket's voice is even more emotional when you remember that they were alone together for 5 whole years before Endgame.
I’m going to be 100%, i finally watched it yesterday and i have to say, this was an amazing marvel movie. In my eyes, making rocket the main focus and showing his backstory was the best thing they could’ve done, and the ending where rocket is captain of the guardians. i think everybody had their moment and executed perfectly. I actually believe that this is my top 3 mcu movie ever.
I was absolutely NOT expecting at the very end of the movie for it to say "The Legendary Star-Lord Will Return." To me, I thought once Star-Lord made it back to Earth, I thought that was the end of his journey, but a part of me is glad because, of the Guardians, I love Star-Lord! So seeing the emerge on-screen as I was just teary-eyed from that whole ending really made me smile, and I can't wait to see him come back in the future.
Im still traumatized Im a grown little man and Id be lying if I said I didnt cry multiple times during this movie Im an animal lover ESPECIALLY RACCOONS and those flashback scenes killed me I loved this movie and I cant wait to watch it again when it comes out at home
A little long. Other than that, it was flawless. I cried twice! What heart breaking yet dope origin story. “And that Academy Award goes to ROCKET RACCOON.” ✊🏽❤️
It was the bunny screaming in panik for me. And then seeing that they were all dead. That broke me. I've never cried so much in a movie. It was really heard to watch man.
I literally cried all the movie rocket's backstory was so good and sad but finally i can say that after 3 years "good job marvel"... When yondu was for like 2 seconds i literally started to get emotional, yondu is one of my favourites character in marvel and its so good to see that marvel did not forget about him... 10/10 movie, good job james gunn😢😢
I loved the movie. Also, a thought is that at the beginning of the Guardians movies its Star-Lord Legendary Outlaw. But Quill is no longer an outlaw but a hero by the end of the movies. So, they took the outlaw out of his "name" and made it the Legendary Star-Lord.
In my personal opinion, the guardians have the best trilogy out of anything else in the mcu, with the most satisfying ending to thier saga. Everything was left in such a way that not only leaves me hypes for the future, but, also happy foe those that are leaving us. Plus more Rocket, which is always awesome 👌
James Gunn did it again he is amazing just like Sam raimi both Sam raimi and James Gunn are my 2 favorite superhero directors along with the Russo brothers
SPOILERS: Rocket screaming in agony after Lylla's death and the High Evolutionary making fun of him for it while Floor keeps yelling at him to run was the most bone-chilling moment in the MCU since Green Goblin laughing while Spider-Man beat the shit out of him. (My opinion, feel free to disagree)
I legitimately started bawling from that scene. The flashbacks were already so tense throughout the run, but just sitting on the shot of him crying over lylla's death was what finally broke me (for the first of many teary moments, the whole run was a gut punch and a half)
That Keanu edit of him listening to Dog Days Are Over can't get anymore accurate holy shit that's me ever since I left the theatres, can't stop playing that song on repeat while waiting for my next viewing😭
Being a owner of cats, I cried so much with the flashbacks, but I’m happy that marvel took that route, I like it cause it pushes the boundaries on these marvel movie’s that to me I think we need, these reaches give personality to these movies, not every backstory need to be a redemption arc, sometimes these hero’s just know how cruel people can be and to me, that’s what makes rocket raccoon a “guardian of the galaxy”
It could just be the bias of me recently seeing the film. But this film is very likely my favorite mcu film. There hasn’t been a mcu film where I was so hooked and emotionally invested.
This movie was wonderful. Perfectly placed humor without throwing away stakes like thor l&t (god its so bad I hate thinking about it). Great hateable villan. Perfect setups and everyone has their moments. Warlock isnt perfect, but i dont mind the way they did it, he has room to grow. And besides, its the finale, make it about the og guardians. Give bradley cooper an award, that performance was wonderful from the start. I loved it and walked out feeling the love, the sadness, and the hope. Props to James Gunn, really captured that old MCU feel. Need more like this with good serious tones and stakes
I don’t think I’ve ever cried watching a marvel movie as much as I did this one. Maybe it’s cause I love animals and seeing everything happen to them was painful but it’s definitely the most emotional mcu movie to me. Don’t know if I can watch it again lol. I overall love the movie and I think it wrapped up everything nicely.
Adam warlock was so sick and I loved it in the first act and wow he showed it he broke a lot of bones and that got me just so freaking scared and disturbed

Same, Drax and Nebula with the kids, and them finally getting peace made me tear up. Great ending for all of them.
yes! same! i was just telling my girlfriend which part made me cry and just trying to explain that Drax tried to cheer the kids up had me choking up. it’s so touching and i’m so glad that they reminded us one last time is that he’s a loving father
Totally agree. Was fantastic.
I agree this is a new most favorite mcu of mine now I love this movie
@@Isaacthebiggestmoviefan57 Great to hear!
@@brandonfly4611 It truely was a cinematic masterpiece
Definitely gave me Deadpool 2 vibes, but I loved it regardless. It was great to see his friends at peace
I understood that “The Legendary Starlord” was just used for comedic effect, contrasting with the sounds of eating cereal in the background
Lol
baby rocket saying "hurts" completely broke me
Seeing quill go back home had me in tears, i never wanted the guardians to split up, and I was upset when they did, but it’s good to know these amazing characters are safe from harm
When I heard Yondu say to Kraglin “Use your head, boy.” I nearly started full on crying.
didn't he say heart?
@@svprcrm7189 Yeah, that's what I heard too.
They kept almost killing Drax, then thought that it might be over for Rocket because so many people kept saying they would die. The Quill one had me on edge, I think they did all that on purpose. Im glad they didnt die. And Nebula is now my favorite Guardian, I loved her in this movie.
The moment when nebula started tearing up after hearing that rocket is okay mann 🥺🥺
This is and spider man no way are the best two movies since endgame. This is my favorite guardians of them all. The jokes were awesome, the action was great and the story was gut punching and beautiful. I teared up in so many moments in this movie. The love these characters have for each other is amazing to see and I love them all.
This doctor strange in the multiverse of madness and spider man no way home are the best since. Avengers endgame
Chris Covello
COULDN'T agree MORE!
I really loved it❤
I started to tear up like 5 times
1 the beginning scene
2 rocket getting hurt by Adam warlock
3 rocket 1st words it hurts
4 lyla death
5 Star lord almost died in space
@@Isaacthebiggestmoviefan57 Rocket almost dying got me hard. Especially after Lyla says it’s not your time to go. Tears were real for that one 🥲
But remember, the Groot in the 1st movie is who Rocket spent time with, not Groot Jr..
Yeah I kinda felt that their was a bit of a disconnect from rocket and groot
I was ugly crying to the MAX during baby Rocket’s scenes especially when he was crying about the pain😭
This was a great balance of both action, heart, seriousness, drama and no real safety of the characters. This was a perfect trilogy and I definitely cannot wait to watch this again. I’ll be emotional regardless, but I want to experience it again!
YEP!!!
Normally I don't cry during movies but this made me tear up three times and the ending made me finally cry this hurt in such a good way 10/10😭
This is probably the first movie that made me cry multiple times in a long time
One of the parts of the movie that made me really like Nebula was when Rocket spoke and she realized he was alive and well and got emotional. Shows how much her character has changed and grew attached to the Guardians
That intro is literally beat-for-beat exactly how i was after watching this movie 😂
Vol. 3 was incredible! Went to the Marathon on Wednesday & watched again on Friday. Absolutely an astonishing trilogy and one of the best ever🤘🏼👏🏼👊🏼
Agree it is
this film really plays with your heart. Great ending to the guardians we were first introduced to. Whatever happens with the new guardians and old from now, I'm happy we can see this as the "ending"
The director confirmed that groot moment in the end was in fact the audience becoming part of the family and being able to understand.
I cried 4 times during the movie, and one of them were tears of joy and happiness. The movie was a roller coaster of emotions, such a fantastic film
This is a small takeaway from this movie, but I thought the moment where Rocket drops his full name was so earned and badass.
And that part where Drax addresses the children in the villain’s ship is so meme worthy.
Love that the groot theory was confirmed by James Gunn
My jaw dropped when Groot finally said something that wasn't "I am Groot."
Just like a lot of people, I was expecting (kinda hoping) at least one of the Guardians to die.
Never in my whole life did I think that an anthropomorphic raccoon would make me cry!!!
This movie made me cry two times. I love this movie.😢
I cried in rockets backstory and when he rescued the baby raccoon and finally accepting his animal species
When teefs floor and lylla died I cried and then I couldn’t forget that scene the whole movie. Then the ending song came on and my face lit up
STILL CRYING FROM THE THEATRE!
sending those daily positive vibes from Houston everyone!🙏🏽🌊
The way Nebula reacts when she hears Rocket's voice is even more emotional when you remember that they were alone together for 5 whole years before Endgame.
I’m going to be 100%, i finally watched it yesterday and i have to say, this was an amazing marvel movie. In my eyes, making rocket the main focus and showing his backstory was the best thing they could’ve done, and the ending where rocket is captain of the guardians. i think everybody had their moment and executed perfectly. I actually believe that this is my top 3 mcu movie ever.
I was absolutely NOT expecting at the very end of the movie for it to say "The Legendary Star-Lord Will Return."
To me, I thought once Star-Lord made it back to Earth, I thought that was the end of his journey, but a part of me is glad because, of the Guardians, I love Star-Lord! So seeing the emerge on-screen as I was just teary-eyed from that whole ending really made me smile, and I can't wait to see him come back in the future.
Kept crying. Best MCU movie sine End Game. Rocket’s past was depressing, but it needed to be. It game him such a beautiful arch.
I was stone face the whole time. Not one single emotion...... Until I went home and cried.
Savour the moment I suppose 😂
Same here 😭😭😭
I loved the movie. Also, a thought is that at the beginning of the Guardians movies its Star-Lord Legendary Outlaw. But Quill is no longer an outlaw but a hero by the end of the movies. So, they took the outlaw out of his "name" and made it the Legendary Star-Lord.
It looks like like there's a chance for Starlord, Rocket, and Groot to return. Which I'm happy about
In my personal opinion, the guardians have the best trilogy out of anything else in the mcu, with the most satisfying ending to thier saga. Everything was left in such a way that not only leaves me hypes for the future, but, also happy foe those that are leaving us.
Plus more Rocket, which is always awesome 👌
When gamora ripped the high evolutionarys face off, I did not think they would show his face afterwards cause of Disney rules. But god they did
I LOVED IT James Gunn definitely poured his heart and soul into this movie major props to him❤
James Gunn did it again he is amazing just like Sam raimi both Sam raimi and James Gunn are my 2 favorite superhero directors along with the Russo brothers
@@Isaacthebiggestmoviefan57 facts their approach to projects is always extremely precise
SPOILERS:
Rocket screaming in agony after Lylla's death and the High Evolutionary making fun of him for it while Floor keeps yelling at him to run was the most bone-chilling moment in the MCU since Green Goblin laughing while Spider-Man beat the shit out of him.
(My opinion, feel free to disagree)
I legitimately started bawling from that scene. The flashbacks were already so tense throughout the run, but just sitting on the shot of him crying over lylla's death was what finally broke me (for the first of many teary moments, the whole run was a gut punch and a half)
this trilogy ended with the best mcu story ever . soo good n I'd definitely watch it multiple times
Favorite guardians of the galaxy movie and I will admit I did cry a little bit
It could just be the bias of me recently seeing the film. But this film is very likely my favorite mcu film. There hasn’t been a mcu film where I was so hooked and emotionally invested.
FINALLY! The perfect species of video has been brought into my recommended feed!
I’ve loved nebula more and more and more each time I’ve seen her in the mcu dude, she’s basically my favorite gaurdian.
this movie almost broke me several times… but i prevailed without tears
This movie was wonderful. Perfectly placed humor without throwing away stakes like thor l&t (god its so bad I hate thinking about it). Great hateable villan. Perfect setups and everyone has their moments. Warlock isnt perfect, but i dont mind the way they did it, he has room to grow. And besides, its the finale, make it about the og guardians. Give bradley cooper an award, that performance was wonderful from the start. I loved it and walked out feeling the love, the sadness, and the hope. Props to James Gunn, really captured that old MCU feel. Need more like this with good serious tones and stakes
just by thinking back i sob. what a tearjerker
i haven’t watched the movie but i love chris’s content so i cant resist it
My only negative was at the end when Groot said ‘I love you guys’
I don’t think I’ve ever cried watching a marvel movie as much as I did this one. Maybe it’s cause I love animals and seeing everything happen to them was painful but it’s definitely the most emotional mcu movie to me. Don’t know if I can watch it again lol. I overall love the movie and I think it wrapped up everything nicely.
Adam warlock was so sick and I loved it in the first act and wow he showed it he broke a lot of bones and that got me just so freaking scared and disturbed
My favorite scene was the Dom Toretto cameo.
