I have to say that the death scene with Jaime's Dad really hit me. Like I was silently sobbing in the theater when that happened. Like not trying to make this sad. But I, too, lost my dad to a heart attack. Though unlike Jaime, I was a 2 year old. But just seeing Jaime ripped away from his Father's final moments broke me. And then the scene that most definitely felt like it was heaven in a way had me cry too. Like even if Jaime didn't get to say goodbye to his dying father. In a way, he was able to in that moment.

Just got out of the theatre and wow I’m actually amazed as to how this movie turned out. George Lopez’s Character reminded my on my uncle that we call “Crazy Chuy” his dad reminded me of my grandfather and his grandma and mom both reminded me of both of my grandmothers. And the sister reminded me of all my Tia’s and little sister. His dads death scene had my balling my eyes out. But man, that scene where he walks into the living room and sees his dad sitting there with all of the candles illuminating the background, TOOK MY BREATH AWAY. It was so beautiful and emotional I cried so much. I laughed, cried, laughed again, cried some more and felt peace at the end.

I love and like the Blue Beetle because it has actions, good storytelling, etc. The actors, actresses who play the characters, are great and amazing. Great story arc. Xolo M came on Cobra Kai and kind of use his Cobra Kai skills. I would definitely rate the movie Infinity Beyond

@@Unk.B.but that voice sounds just like Jason. Since James Gunn approved this scene, there is a possibility he's coming back in either the booster gold series or another blue beetle movie.
The directors actually confirmed the green light in the beginning that hit the blue beetle scarab was supposed to be the green lanterns which would not only add the lord that you said but also the lore about the wars between the reach and the green lanterns
I honestly teared up at the conversation they had during the dinner because it just sounded like something my family would say "ahi le averigüemos" there was just so much relatability with the family that reminded me of my uncle's, my mom, my abuela, and my relationship with my siblings. I watched BB once it dropped and what made me so sad is that my theater was super empty like Everyone keeps saying that blue beetle is trash! LIKE NOOOOO this movie OMG I freaking love Blue Beetle I watched it with my family and they too also really enjoyed it this I'd definitely one my of my favorite DC movies to date. I'm also going to watch it in IMAX with my girlfriend because WOW I love this movie💙💙💙🪲
It was really cool seeing this movie with a huge smile when they referenced so many things my family did or have. When they were chanting Jaime's name before his job interview, it brought back many haunting memories of my family doing the same to me. Also, the Cronos reference was really cool, especially since the device in that movie works very similar to the scarab.
I loved the movie. I know a lot people are saying it's nothing special in regards to Jaime's hero journey but I loved the whole thing myself. I grew up with Ted Kord Post-Crisis and the JLI. I have family members who are nicknamed Beetle, although no one knows or remembers that it started with my cousin being a big Blue Beetle fan. I love all versions of BB but think Jaime has been the greatest additon to the franchise and is responsible for keeping it alive. I love the Latin representation. I'm Choctaw, not Mexican or any type of Latin, but think of Latin folk from the Americas as my Indigenous relatives. Would have loved to see Tye Longshadow in this as his best friend, like the version in Young Justice, maybe later. Hope we get more Blue Beetle projects and not just him in other projects but hope Ted is in the Booster show. Blue & Gold were the core of the JLI. Anyway, even if it's not the best superhero movie of the year, it's definitely one my favorites.
I Saw this movie yesterday and litarly the entire time my ❤ was beating so fast that I couldn't look away from the screen this movie was a ferkin masterpiece
The movie was amazing I thought it was a really funny movie and I would give it a 9.5/10 completely would recommended seeing. And personally being a marvel fan this movie gave me a better appreciation for the DC universe.
I really enjoyed watching this, I loved all the call backs to Latino shows and telenovelas. It was nice to see a latino family be the center of a superhero movie.
Ppl say the movie starts getting good after jaime gets the scarab but for me it got better after his father died because it genuinely broke me the way GOTG3 never could and that is saying something. The reason why it broke me was because everything escalated so fast and i was so flabbergasted that victoria was such a cold hearted asshole. I cried multiples time later on especially that last moment with his father. Last thing i really want to praise the movie for, that final fight with carapax as well as his backstory. His backstory was INSANE, can't believe they showed all that. Xolo portrayed his rage so incredibly well, i am genuinely such a sucker for superheroes getting aggressive when they're in rage. In the end, Blue Beetle was a solid movie in the sea of a very questionable dc slate in the last few years.
This movie is my favorite DC movie of all time. Even though I'm not of Hispanic heritage I found this movie So Lovable- This movie certainly gives me hope for the upcoming DC studios(Even though Mr.Gunn said that this ain't the first movie in the DC studio but Blue Beetle is Technically the first official character we know that's fully established in that universe). Everyone Is Good at what they do, Xolo Is perfect Playing Jamie...just incredible...Lopez Incredibly Funny ass hell Like ever...Every actor killed their roles.I really hope Xolo gets to doing more movies and can Get a second Blue beetle movie. LOVED THIS FLIM!!
Yea! I liked it!!! George Lopez won me over! Even the soundtrack was pretty good! Agree, that it was a lil’ cheesy with Abuela and the fart mist. 🤓 But… I was teary eyed twice! I really enjoyed it! ❤ And El Chapoli Colorado is the man!!! They should make a movie of him!! You can play him, Chris!! I will be el Señor Bariga! 😅
I loved the movie but for some weird reason Carapax reminded me of iron monger and whiplash . Also being Mexican this movie had a bunch of relatable scenes 😂
The Blue Beetle "transmission" post-credits scene was kept while a scene of Batfleck that was nearly identical was scrapped. It bodes well for the future of Blue Beetle. At the same time, James Gunn didn't interfere with the Shazam post-credits scene. So who knows?
I am really glad I gave Blue Beetle a chance after Cris' review. I really enjoyed it and there was also some stuff which I was not expecting at ALL ( escuela de las Americas) I really hope this film does well in the box office through word of mouth bc it really felt like a breath of fresh air
Definitely a sleeper hit! The Hispanic/Latino influence made it more than just a another superhero movie. There were many aspects that really stood out to me such as each family member having a memorable moment in the movie, especially the dad, that really hit home like many others. Xolo as Jaime was great casting and Im glad this man got to be the first live action latino/hispanic superhero! Dude even went super saiyan and pulled a Naruto at the end! Also, where do I get that BB shirt? Lol
I really had a fun time watching this movie, both as a superhero fan and as a Mexican (even though my family is not as inmersed in the music and cultural elements this film portrays, these are things I obviously I grew up around) my biggest issue being with it the villains, mostly because I found signs of something great. You could notice how they tried to portray Victoria Kord manipulating Carapax, and it reminded me of The Manchurian Candidate, where Raymond is actually controlled by his mother. I wish they had explored it a bit deeper, or at least shown Carapax being conflicted by his relationship with Kord throughout the movie, so it would better justify why he's constantly telling Jaime that his love for his family is a weakness
Big movies hitting the streaming service world a couple weeks after is what's messing it up. I often catch myself questions wether is I want to go watch it at the theaters or wait for it to stream. I have to go watch it after this review

I really liked the movie, and I think Ted cord could be in space since we know the scarab is of alien origins Ted cord could have gone into space to see If he could find a scarab for himself or to get away from everything and take a breather, or maybe aliens themselves insisted his help, there's alot they could do with the sequel and it's sad to know it may never happen
Cris missed that the antagonist had been a recruit of the escuela de las Americas, which was a very real thing that USA set up to train soldiers to fight communist insurgents in most (if not all) of LATAM
Finally a hispanic cultural depiction appears in a mainstream movie. Weve been here forever and always ignored like we dont exist. Though many americans knowsany latin fo they really know how iur lives are …somewhat different than non hispanic americans cant wait to see film show some love and support.
I think George Lopez meant Dan Garett was the first Blue Beetle in the 80s and eventually in the 90s Ted Kord took over. He probably didn't even realize it was two different guys
I'm not Mexican but being Hispanic a lot of these cultural references did hit home for me. I really enjoyed the Movie. Had low expectations but now after watching it I have to say it's tied for second with the Flash for my second favorite Dceu Film, After James Gunns suicide Squad. So much talk of Family in this film , I know Vin Diesel would approve.
I just got done with blue beetle movie oh my God, why do people hate this movie it one of the best movies of the year, xolo mariduena. As a blue beetle, his performance was so amazing I so happy for him. I want more blue beetle movies and teamwork movies, and blue beetle got some Rizz
I I loved the way blue beetle represents Latinos everywhere that Family is everything like fast and the furious and blue beetle Our family makes us stronger.
Saw it opening day. The very first movie I have seen opening day. Movie was an easy 8/10. I really hope the movie can do well at the box office, and I didn’t think it would be that good but I was surprised. The uncle was easily one of the best parts. Even my grandpa who doesn’t care about super hero’s like it. Solid super hero movie, not the best, but certainly one of the best DC films and one of the better movies of 2023

Yea! I liked it!!! George Lopez won me over!
Even the soundtrack was pretty good!
Agree, that it was a lil’ cheesy with Abuela and the fart mist. 🤓 But…
I was teary eyed twice!
I really enjoyed it! ❤
And El Chapoli Colorado is the man!!!
They should make a movie of him!!
You can play him, Chris!!
I will be el Señor Bariga! 😅
I didn't know Blue Beetle at all, but I really loved it!
James Gunn said that Affleck scene doesn’t or never existed
Best film ever I had my doubts but I saw it today and was blown away !
I am really glad I gave Blue Beetle a chance after Cris' review. I really enjoyed it and there was also some stuff which I was not expecting at ALL ( escuela de las Americas)
I really hope this film does well in the box office through word of mouth bc it really felt like a breath of fresh air
Mentioning the School of Americas immediately made me focus more, Hopefully Xolo gets to shine in Gunn's new DCU
I’m watching it right now! I’ll come back to this video in 2 hours and 7 minutes
I had a great time with this movie! Great vid as always Chris 🔥
Lol
i kept thinking, he should rob some banks or get a sponsor because the suit cooking his clothes up is wild.
3c films just wanna say really enjoying the content and I love how your channel is finally reaching a further a audience. It really is good to see how far you've come
:Edit: HE ACTUALLY READ MY COMMENT IVE LITTERALY TOLD EVERYONE IN MY BLOODLINE 😮😮😁😁
Genuinely liked this movie a lot. As a BB fan and dc fan, this movie was great. Sure it had flaws but flaws that u can just work with.
They confirmed that in the beginning of the movie that green light was a Green Lantern
So I just now got out of the theatre after seeing this movie. Dude, really good. Instantly one of my favorite super hero flicks.
Cris missed that the antagonist had been a recruit of the escuela de las Americas, which was a very real thing that USA set up to train soldiers to fight communist insurgents in most (if not all) of LATAM
I really hope that we get to see more of Blue Beetle
I really hope we get at least 1 more movie or tv show
This movie was so good I predict it’ll get a sequel cuz the budget was low and it’s easy to make a profit
I hope it makes a prof bro to shut down the haters
It was a good fun movie.. this movie should get more credit than it deserves..
Finally a hispanic cultural depiction appears in a mainstream movie.
Weve been here forever and always ignored like we dont exist.
Though many americans knowsany latin fo they really know how iur lives are …somewhat different than non hispanic americans cant wait to see film show some love and support.
Funniest part of the movie to me is that Jaimes family were killing people with the Beatle vehicle 💀
New crush unlocked: Bruna Marquezine
I think George Lopez meant Dan Garett was the first Blue Beetle in the 80s and eventually in the 90s Ted Kord took over. He probably didn't even realize it was two different guys
I'm not Mexican but being Hispanic a lot of these cultural references did hit home for me. I really enjoyed the Movie. Had low expectations but now after watching it I have to say it's tied for second with the Flash for my second favorite Dceu Film, After James Gunns suicide Squad. So much talk of Family in this film , I know Vin Diesel would approve.
Saw the movie yesterday loved it.
Same 😁
I just got done with blue beetle movie oh my God, why do people hate this movie it one of the best movies of the year, xolo mariduena. As a blue beetle, his performance was so amazing I so happy for him. I want more blue beetle movies and teamwork movies, and blue beetle got some Rizz
Need to see flashbacks to Nana's revolutionary past if they do a sequel 😅
I I loved the way blue beetle represents Latinos everywhere that Family is everything like fast and the furious and blue beetle Our family makes us stronger.
Saw it opening day. The very first movie I have seen opening day. Movie was an easy 8/10. I really hope the movie can do well at the box office, and I didn’t think it would be that good but I was surprised. The uncle was easily one of the best parts. Even my grandpa who doesn’t care about super hero’s like it. Solid super hero movie, not the best, but certainly one of the best DC films and one of the better movies of 2023
i really enjoyed it.. this movie had me in tears at some parts.
I loved every minute. It was refreshing seeing a good movie in general when it comes to the hero Genre
If James Pistolas doesn't add Chapulin Colorado in his DC universe, I ain't buying it
