If you didn’t know to when Jamie is fighting the agents in the tunnels to protect his sister he grabs one with his back spikes and yells get over here which could be a reference to scorpion from mortal Kombats iconic spear move
When Jaime meets his father in the sort of spirit realm, the imagery they used to depict this spirit realm is a reference to the movie MACARIO (1960) , which was the first mexican film to ever be nominated for the Oscars in the category of international film and one of the best mexican film of all time!
There was also a reference from Mortal Kombat with Jaime saying "come over here" at the fight sequence from pago island after reuniting with his sister. Another reference could be from Final Fantasy when Jaime created a sword that looked like Cloud Strife's iconic buster sword.

It was an amazing experience, hope this group of characters lives on because I would love to see them again!
There’s a scene when the scarab turns his hand into a gun and it looks like the same prop from the Fifth Element which is funny because it’s an alien weapon meaning that the scarab may have witnessed the weapons from that film even though it’s set in the future so maybe just reusing props like the power glove
