OK, understood. I talked about being a dad too much in this video. I promise I won't go into it this much in every video. I'm sorry.
Please understand that I'm very much absorbed in this phase, getting less than 4 hours of sleep per night, and this movie's weird editing and emphasis on Arthur's fatherhood really triggered my fixation with the minutiae of parenting, feeding cycles, diaper changing, etc. I aimed my laser focus on something the vast majority of you are not interested in, and even those of you who DO have kids, probably have blocked out of your memory, or you're happy to have left in the past.
So, while fatherhood is now an inseparable part of my worldview, I have no plans on making this my "brand" on RUclips.

I actually loved this, I loved how much you were willing talk about your boy, don't apologize I've been watching this channel for about 8 years now and this was one of my favorite videos just because you shown a different view that I would never have ever saw watching this movie. Fun fact: at 21:00 when aquaman throws his trident splintering Kordaxs he actually says “‘O kēia kou hopena”(Hawaiian) which translated to English means “this is your end” Coming from being a kanaka and knowing the language I love when it is shown to the world 🤗
Jason Momoa thought he was gonna play Lobo while auditioning but was surprised to learn he will play Aquaman

I actually really liked how well they were able to tie this to the previous Aquaman film. That’s probably because I watched the first film right before leaving to see it in the theater

If you can enjoy the 60's silver age tone of the movie, its not a bad watch
Jason actually explains how he ended up with writing credits: he went in with a proposal, and they told him to go for it. Watch some of his interviews about the movie, he does explain it.
The beginning REALLY feels like his sense of humor but then there's a tight butthole joke too. For better or worse, this is HIS iteration of Aquaman like how there's many different versions of Thor but one popular film one

I think they’re just trying to emphasize the juxtaposition but if anything it’s that his son is super powered and has a large appetite.
A fun little detail, on Patrick wilson’s shirt when he eats the burger is a character named Jabber jaw! Which is a character from a Hanna Barbara cartoon and i believe that warner brothers owns the rights to jabber jaw! I just thought that was fun 😊

We've seen in other media that Aquaman has needed several gallons in order to rehydrate.
I think it's very feasible that an Atlantean baby, out of water, could drink all that in a day.
There are many parents who have to stop their children from drinking more than they should. It's just that this kid can handle excess liquids

@@ProcyonNite he doesn’t address anything he hand waves it away by saying “I don’t care if he’s part Atlantan” he should that’s a big reason yes he’s baby sized but his cells are denser than human cells and therefore need more sustenance to keep him alive. Same concept as the flash just existing is burning enough calories that a single bottle isn’t enough to survive off of

You honestly want to sit/stand and type crap about how this child can't drink that much milk in a day. Next you want to talk about the Flash and his eating habits right? Or how Superman's secret identity still is a secret?

No mention of the long take on the final fight scene? Such a rarity in movies, it's awesome to see more of it done well. I hope more movies are able to do long takes instead of all the rapid quick cuts of the past. I have no issues with an overall "less good" fight when it's done in a long take to make it so much more cohesive and let the watcher better track what is going on in the fights.

Jason Momoa came up with the story plot about exploring the 7 kingdoms as a sequel during the shooting of the first film. Vulko is on life support from the events of the prequel comic Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom Special #1. Also test audiences are stupid.

I actually had a great time with this movie
I gotta say I agree and was thinking the same thing when I first saw parts of this movie. The ending line was pretty over the top and just unexpected. I don't think it was a great move to be honest. This movie was very good I think but it did have a lot of those over the top moments like that ending line as well as "give me back my son" and all that.
Sad to see this current DCEU end because it did have some fantastic casting choices and some good moments but ultimately didn't succeed in the way everyone hoped.
Goodbye DCEU , atleast Aquaman saved his family

There was a lot of things wrong with the DCEU. That didn’t stop me from loving a lot of moments and movies that we got. I get a lot of hate for enjoying a lot of these movies, but they really did some things great. I can’t wait to see what Erik’s next videos on the DCEU bring!
DC really gotta switch up the parents names a little bit, Batman mother & Superman mother are both named Martha, Batman & Aquamans fathers are both named Thomas

“Milk” in the fridge could be formula. Not everyone breast milks their kids. Especially, and I’m just assuming here mind you, merpeople babies here might have a different substance they must drink. They aren’t mammals. Maybe it’s formula from the sea? Like chicken of the sea… 😂 but for babies.
It's crazy how bad the cgi is at times but it's a really funny movie tbh. Not what the serious/drama craving male audience want, but a tone that is needed to make Batman cooler

He went on a rant about the milk assuming its breast milk... right because every mother feeds through breast milk and no one uses formula😒🙄.. that whole aquaman drinking breast milk idea was goofy.
That’s not how baby formula is stored. It should only be refrigerated for up to 24 hours at most. Usually it’s prepared warm and immediately fed to the baby. I think that it is safe to assume that this is breast milk. Also, he is right in saying that body builders or people who lift have been known to drink breast milk for the gains.

The reason Jason got credited is because he pitched the global warming idea. The whole global warming plotline he was talking about adding for long time before the movie came out should be the reason
About the story credits to Jason Momoa, wasn't he the one who suggested the ending for the movie to be a whole UN meeting? Perhaps thats where he got the credits.
It was confirmed from the test screenings that they originally did kill baby Arthur.
A clever easter egg for the batman despute would be Jason Momoa playing with a Micheal Keaton Batman Figure, while Ben Afflecks Batman is fighting in the flashback.
