Can't remember where I read it, but his power is more then blast energy absorbed. In an comic his sister tells story of Bishop sitting under a constant dripping water. And uses the energy from it after hours, to charge one balsa so they could get away from the bad guy. Bishop is totally bad ass
Fitzroy's powers always seemed a bit odd to me. The fact that he was from Bishop's future timeline made him fascinating and he certainly spread chaos and embodied a particularly villainous persona.
