One of the most underrated and touching moments is Nebula's reaction to hearing Rocket's voice over the comms.
That got me too 😢
Twig Groot was also on Rocket's person when the Guardian's shared the energy of the Power Stone. So Groot could have absorbed that energy as well.
Yeah I like that idea much more
This would be the much better example I think
Love this perspective! Never even thought of that!
Was he though? Pretty sure Rocket didn't grab anything until after the Galaxy was saved from Ronin.
@@TrickstersProductioneven if he didn’t grab it, it was still in the immediate vicinity
1:42 the shot is actually from the first movie when Groot wipes a tear from Rocket's eyes, i think it is before Groot sacrifices himself to protect the other
Yep
They used the wrong suicide squad picture when discussing the actors roles as well. In my opinion this channel is declining in the details.
yes, you can see Groot's twig wiping off Rocket's tears
Yeah I spotted that detail as well and got super confused
I thought for sure you were gonna mention that Rocket is referred to by his full name "Rocket Racoon" for the first time.
7:13 CCCP is actually Cyrillic script and translates as SSSR in Latin script (Sojuz Sovetskih Socialisticheskih Respublik), meaning Union of Soviet Socialist Republics.
You mean it doesn’t stand for Cold Craping Commie People?
I understand why Dave Bautista wants to leave the MCU, so I'm fine w/ this being Drax's last appearance, but I *really* hope we'll see Nebula & Mantis again.
Probably won't... this Guardian team has run it's course
Seeing a similar arc they gave him in the Guardians game would be really cool, so I hope he's not done...😢
@@isaiahwatkins1502run its course? This is Hollywood, whether it be 5 years or 10, or even 20, we will see them again.
I wanna see rocket again
He could decide to comeback. One of the bigger reasons he was wanting to leave even if it sounds odd but is totally understandable was his insecurity of how his body was begining to look since hes well into his 50s now and its hard to keep the physique he once had. Notice he never appears without a shirt on and he didnt like not being without shirt
Fun fact: The guard that falls in love with Drax is played by Benjamin Byron Davis who voiced Dutch van der Linde in both Red Dead Redemption 1&2
I thought he sounded familiar 😂
Nebula's arm looks much more like the Sentinals from Days of Future Past than the Thor bots. Just like the mutator in Secret Invasion was the same thing as the mutator from the original X-Men movie.
I recognised the Sentinels resemblance immediately. As of the mutator, I didn't think of that. Spot on.
Yes. Does very much look like the sentinel arms from Days of Future Past.
Wow..that mutator observation is great...took me back to when Magneto used Rogue to take his place and use it to mutate humans.
Swoll Groot is also a child of the radiation of the Power Stone when the Guardians used it against Ronin. Lots of good, powerful energy that could have been absorbed by him, even as a stick.
Groot died when that Happened
@@BaronVonEnder667 Baby Groot was right there with everyone when it happened, just a stick but still there.
I think this as well I think he was in rockets hand when they touched
1:41 The first image in yellow on the Marvel text is Rocket crying and saying, "No Goot. You can't. You'll die." and his tears getting wiped by Groot on the 1st Installment when he created a cocoon to save them from that spaceship on Xander.
The ‘50’ thing is interesting b/c Quill was around 34 in the 1st one; making him at least 43 in this one. So he IS nearly 50. I can say from experience 43 feels way closer to 50 than 30.
bc it is closer to 50, i guess?
How? Gotg vol 1&2 take place in 2014, infinity war takes place in 2018(making quill 38) then he was dead for 5 years, so assuming this movie takes place in 2024, quill is closer to 39-40
@@brrrman9803guardians 3 takes place a few years after their appearance in Thor 4
@@brrrman9803 that’s a great point. I must have been forgetting the blip in my math. Thinking was that it was ‘present’ day in the MCU which is about 2024 or 2025. But it could be 2020 as far as Quill’s age goes.
time doesnt work when he's off-earth, he might be living in some planet that moves super quick or just travels fast in the spacecraft in general
Nathan Fillion (T.D.K.) and Pom Klementieff were also in The Suicide Squad with Klementieff portraying the lead dancer in the club, La Gatita. I'm looking forward to Pom being in a more significant role in a later DCU film, though.
Didn't even take into consideration that the breaking of the guardians sign in half symbolizes the gaurdians actually (breaking apart) going their separate ways.
13:27 - In that flashback with the high evolutionary, Rocket is actually voiced by Sean Gunn. He isn't voiced by Bradley Cooper til he's a little bit older
The ONLY thing that kinda bothered me about this movie was how quickly Peter recovers from almost dying in vacuum. For a second I thought he was for sure dead (when his face got all bloated), then when Adam brought him in I thought maybe he'd survive with some long term (if not permanent) injuries... then suddenly he's just fine like nothing happened. Face fully healed and everything. I think getting stuck in vacuum for that long would cause a lot more damage than that... but eh, whatever, it's a superhero movie and they have crazy tech. And who knows, maybe Peter retained some toughness/healing powers from his dad, even though GOTG2 makes very clear that he isn't immortal.
Half celestial?
Space isn't instantly deadly. It takes you about two minutes to die in a vacuum, so him being out there for like ten seconds probably didn't do squat. Same with Yondu - even as Quill was weeping over his death, he could have been resuscitated, although he was surely fully dead by the time the other Guardians arrived.
@@roguebarbarian9133 and he doesnt have a button that stops him form using a medipack
I love so much about this movie, but what truly makes it stand out from even the rest of the Guardians saga is that there are no large stakes at all. Vol. 1: Ronin/Thanos want the Power Stone. Vol. 2: Ego starts a galactic expansion. Vol. 3: Rocket is dying and High Evolutionary wants his brain to make a better evolved planet.
Literally, no threat to the safety of the Galaxy at all. However, the stakes still feel just as high with how character-focused this finale is. I am truly blown away by everything in this film and wish I could thank everyone that worked on it beyond internet comments. This one will forever stand out among the rest of the MCU.
I disagree, although I would’ve liked the beat down of the HE to have been longer it shows he’s really not the focus of the story as much as rocket was… which was the whole point. Also would u want it less character focused?
I would argue that the stakes are subtly raised towards the end of the movie. When Quill confronts the high evolutionary, the HE says “I don’t want to conquer the galaxy; I want to perfect it,” implying that he will eventually try to expand his “utopia”. He just wants to perfect his experiments before he starts. In that regard he reminded me of Ronin from Vol. 1: he wasn’t actively threatening the entire galaxy _yet,_ but the writing was on the wall.
@williamdavis8508 I think you misunderstood what the original comment was saying
Having them split up at the end only means we'll be pleasantly surprised to see the characters pop-up again in some other series.
One of my favourite details is that the guardians sign rips of adams cape foreshadowing how the guardians will free him of the high evolutionary
I think rocket wants all the mechanical body parts because it reminds him of all his mechanical friends that he couldn’t save
😢
The changing of the animal in the container was an homage to The Fly, where Jeff Goldblum played the main role, who plays the Grand Master in the MCU.
I caught that too
I love the anti-animal cruelty message of this movie. And overall it was a beautiful way to end the trilogy.
EPIC 👏👏👏💎
@@haddonfieldradio666I hope you're not actually being serious 💀
Yeah, and it wasn’t done in a pretentious, attacking way. Makes it even better and impactful.
@@tomharding127hmm
@@tomharding127Agreed. It was masterfully done. Heartbreaking, but appropriate.
16:50 In the comics Mantis temporarily left the Marvel universe and crossed to the DC universe calling herself Willow then going to a Eclipse comic before returning to Marvel. It might be fun if Pom Klementieff played that character.
Lol.
That would be funny
as a Russian speaker, would like to correct 1 mistake here. #8 СССР is in fact a Russian abbreviation of a Soviet Union (USSR in English).
In that scene where Drax is carrying The High Revolutionary: I’m convinced that’s Eagley flying in the middle
7:15 a little mistake here, the logo on Cosmo's costume doesn't stand for Central Committee of the Communist Party, it's actually the name of the Soviet Union in Russian Language, in English it's USSR ( Union of Soviet Socialist Republics ) in Russian it's Союз Советских Социалистических Республик (CCCP). It's written in cyrillic letters.
I don't think that's actually Bucky's arm.
I think Nebula hit up Shuri for a replica Bucky Arm to give to Rocket
Wrong
@@michaelramirez4864 prove it!
@@michaelramirez4864 How so?
When Drax threw Adam into the sign it could be interpreted as the team breaking up but it is not over since the sign didn’t completely break
25:20 you can see it is Columbus, the C and O just fell off. You can still see the silhouette of those letters surrounded by the dirt.
When Rocket said "huurts", my tears dripped and after that I can't recover all throughout the movie. I just cried while watching what Rocket's been through. I didn't expect this is another movie that will break my heart after Marley and Me. I haven't watched movies with animals after marley and me coz of the trauma.
A Legendary Star Lord movie would be a perfect place to reduce the budget like they've been needing to. Peter has to face an alien threat in his hometown armed only with his element guns and whatever he can scrap together from the hardware store. The one number he has for the Avengers isn't working, it'd take too long to call for backup from space, and nobody believes him on social media. Set entirely within his hometown, small-scale, lower budget. It could work, absolutely.
one of the only downsides to this movie was that they had a composer change to the one who wrote the score for the suicide squad, and whilst they're very good it meant they couldn't use the guardians of the galaxy theme much or as fully as it was used in previous films
John Murphy still brought a great score though
@@xavierdexter9371 this is true, I liked the high evolutionary leitmotif
CCCP aren’t the Latin letters the West uses. They are the Cyrillic letters most of the the Eastern and Southern Slavic countries like Russia uses. CCCP when transliterated to the Latin letters are SSSR, which means Soyuz Sovetski Socialisticheski Respublik, or… Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, or USSR.
There is a Columbus, Missouri, which could be where the baby raccoons were taken from. What if The Ravengers took them for the High Evolutionary, which is how Yondu knew about what he had done to Rocket. They got the raccoons the same time they took Peter, from Missouri!
Hey guys. I love these videos, but you are mistaken regarding the meaning of CCCP. CCCP is simply the Cyrillic (the alphabet used to write Russian) abbreviation for Union of Soviet Socialist Republics. In Cyrillic, this is "Союз Советских Социалистических Республик." As such, CCCP just means USSR.
NONE I repeat, NONE of the GOTG movies have missed at all! This one was definitely my favorite, very heart wrenching!
Where you say "lumbus" on the crate could be "Columbus," you can see faded lettering with the "Co"
1:42 sorry if this sounds nit picky, but this is from volume 1, where groot wipes away rockets tear in the dark aster when he sacrificed himself
Rockets first word saying “hurts” will never not break me…
1:42 that wasn’t from Vol. 2 it was from Vol. 1 before Groot died shielding the Guardians.
I was teary-eyed through this whole movie.
CCCP was not for the central committee. It's Sojuz Sovetskih Socialisticheskih Respublik (Союз Советских Социалистических Республик)
The equivalent of USSR
When the High Evolutionary shows rocket batch 90 for the first time. he grabs some parts off the box before he follows. setting up his escape plan later on in the movie. which was a nice touch that i caught on too and made me think that he had a back up plan in case he wasnt given what he wanted for him and his friends.
On his backpack is the Nasa symbol and the ghosts from Pacman. Also, the turtle transformation is similar to TMNT transformations
At 7:14, CCCP does not stand for "Central Comittee of the Communist Party". It is the cyrillic translation of "USSR" (Union of Soviet Socialist Republics - the name of the country) - Сою́з Сове́тских Социалисти́ческих Респу́блик.
So fun fact one of the ravengers was played by Molly Quinn who played Nathan Fillions daughter in Castle. It’s so cool to see how James Gunn keeps it all connected.
Thor literally has a cape in Ragnarok, Infinity War and Endgame. It was TAKEN off of him in Ragnarok but restored in Infinity War with Stormvreaker
It's Magic
Glad to see people still talking about this movie, not enough people do!
18:24 I had a dream where the statue of liberty was replaced with a statue of thanos
25:16 as the camera pans down, you can see the outline of the faded C and O in "Columbus" more clearly, confirming it is the Columbus Wild Life Center
It would be a delight if Legendary Star-Lord turns out to be a series and we get to see him interact with other MCU characters. Imagine him and Ant-Man trying to steal something?
At 07:14 the "CCCP" are actually Cyrylic characters. It means Союз Советских Социалистических Республик (СССР) / Sojus Sowjetskich Sozialistitscheskich Respublik (SSSR) which is the Sowiet Union / Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR)
25:15 it is totally Columbus wildlife centre, you can just barely see the C and O outlines
CCCP is NOT Central committee comunist party. C in Cyrillic is equivalent to S, and P is equivalent to R. CCCP is actually SSSR. It stands for Union of Soviet Socialist Republic. Also the first really bad word in MCU was Yelena Belova’s ‘cyka’ to Kate Bishop on the elevator at Rockefeller Center
A common theme in Vin Deisel movies... you have to be family to really understand what he's saying
6:37 i think that’s actually “M21I”, not “M211”
Paul Bettany is the OG “MCU voice-over/live-action double roles”. Voice over for JARVIS, live action for Vision.
CCCP actually means USSR in the Russian alphabet. Союз Советских Социалистических Республик
1:46 actually this scene looks like just before Groot sacrificed himself in volume 1
CCCP is USSR in Russian. (Союз Советских Социалистических Республик, SSSR - Soyuz Sovetskih Socialisticheskih Respublik in our alphabet). It is not "Central Committee of the Communist Party," as the Soviet Union did not use English for ANYTHING. They used Russian.
isn't the yellow rocket crying scene from guardians 1, from when groom was sacrificing himself so the guardians could live??
Please make a Deep Dive video trying to uncover the secret Easter egg
Rocket’s afterlife scene reminds me so much of the one from Deadpool 2
I didn't dance until Drax said that.
Now I dance.
1:45 that scene of rocket crying is from volume 1 when groot sacrifices himself to save the guardians
This movie was sooooo good. This was how good I thought Thor love and thunder was going to be
Unfortunately, that movie had its flaws, but I still thought it was better than others are willing to admit.
7:17 - CCCP doesn't mean "Central Committee of the Communist Party". It's the country's acronym in its original cyrillic: Союз Советских Социалистических Республик (Soyuz Sovyetskikh Sotsialisticheskikh Respublik) or Union of Soviet Socialist Republics in english.
Oh I'm so happy they changed the thing about Floor's teeth. I was a wreck with these flashbacks, I could not take that
That Random Shiny encounter Theme at 5:17 caught me off-guard… Shout out to all the Pokemon Shiny Hunters over here
The transformation scene in the tank reminds me of the Tobey McGuire Spiderman 1 when Osborne tries his experiment on himself but comes out with anger issues, just as the turtle does in this movie.
25:14 yes its actually columbus, if you look closely the C and O were chipped off.
1:45 thats Volume 1 when Groot is sacrificing himself shielding the Guardians
7:15
Im not sure but I think the CCCP was cyrillic for SSSR, which was the russian name for USSR
22:46
An unmentioned cameo I caught, as I first saw this movie recently with its digital release, on the left side of this shot is Bzermikitokolok, the lead singer of the band in the Guardians Christmas special (played by Rhett Miller, lead singer of the Old 97s).
This film was a roller coaster ride of emotions. I cried like a baby great film overall.
14:23 It would've been cool if Sif ended up w/ a Destroyer arm after losing hers in Thor: Love & Thunder
I love how the description of teefs is “a walrus, pretty standard”
Yellow picture was rocket crying in Vol. 1 when Groot makes his sacrifice. You can see the shoulder pads from the Vol. 1 suit and the stick from Groot wiping it away. Not trying to be rude just wanna put it out there! :)
Remember Alf? Well now he's back! In Pog form.
25:15 of course it's Columbus Wildlife Center. You can see where the C and O were. Plus that would put the lettering all oriented on the left side.
CCCP means USSR, not the Central Committee of the Communist Party. The letters are in Cyrillic where the C is pronounced as "S" and the P is pronounced as "R".
1:47 that’s def the scene in vol 1 where groot is sacrificing himself to save the rest of the guardians. not vol 2.
CCCP means Soviet Union written in Russian Cyrillic (Союз Советских Социалистических Республик)
The car Peter drives in Counter-Earth is a 1980's Diplomat, it appears in every 80s and early 90s movies and TV shows, that model was used widely as a cop car and taxi but the thing is that the button in the door handle is not in any model so they added that for the scene!
Rocket crying is from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.1 when Groot sacrificed himself to save the others. You can even see one of his root things wiping away Rocket’s tears
that’s what i thought lol
when baby rocket said hurt it made my cry so head I had to leave the room
Tell me you googled CCCP without telling me you googled it...
I was playing Pokémon Legends: Arceus while listening to this video, then I was freaking out when a shiny note was played during the Flora Colossus segment. I looked for any shiny I thought was nearby only to realise that it came from RUclips.
1:46 I think that's the shot from vol.1, when Groot protects all the Gaurdians and says we are groot while looking at Rocket. You can literally see groot's twig wipe off Rocket's Tears.
I understand, going through so many details you might make a mistake here and there, no pressure, just wanted to share something I think I found
What if G'iah ends up joining the Annihilators, along with Phyla-Vell? That'd be pretty cool tbh, ngl.
Haven’t seen the movie in some weeks but I’m pretty sure in a parking lot on counter earth there say a green bronco ii. They were introduced in like 1984 or 86
I was thinking of the baby head thing in Sid's room in Toy Story, but now I realize that is inspired by The Thing
I've always wondered if Groot has the memories from all the previous Groots who died or if he has to relearn about the members of the team each time🤔
all the previous Groots? hasn't there only been 2 Groots in the guardians?
I believe a Flora Colossus carries the memories of its past forms when they regenerate.
I doubt he holds their memories. He knows them because they raised him from birth
@@selenarobertson3955that we've seen
Like genetic memory, that’s a cool idea!
07:16 Who told you that's what CCCP means? It's just USSR in Russian. Not what ever you said.
The PLA shiny sound was perfect 😹👌🏿
during that scene where starlord was floating in space, my girlfriend said "what if a debris hit him and stops his trajectory?", and it happend. I was like, "oh wow, you just killed Starlord."
CCCP does NOT mean "central committee of the communist party". It is the abbreviation for "Союз Советских Социалистических Республик". Or, in English, "The Union of Soviet Socialist Republics" (often abbreviated to "Soviet Union"). It's the name of the country.
@25:18. You can see the white faint outline of CO in Columbus and not just Lumbus
If you look on the panel that has the raccoons information, you can see a faint outline of a c and an o on “lumbus” showing they fell off and they’re actually from columbus
Am I the only one that sees a parallel between Lila/Teefs/Floor being in cages and Nebula/Drax/and Mantis being in a cage? Also, Rocket asks for Nebula right away after waking up from his scene in the afterlife... Maybe its just me...
Gemma Chan also played two roles in the MCU: Minn-Erva in Captain Marvel and Sersi in Eternals.
The list goes on even further
