Wanda was terrifying in this movie, especially that scene chasing them through the tunnel! I really enjoyed it. Wong was great, the Illuminati section was great, horror elements were really good. There was literally no reason for her to be on her feet other than the movie needing that tension right there. It makes sense if she was corrupted by the Darkhold as well. I personally loved how she just wrecked the Illuminati. After the end of this, I would say that she is the most complex and sympathetic villain of the MCU. My heart still broke for her at the end, even after all she did. As a horror fan, I loved the Evil Dead vibes. My ONLY gripe is that Bruce Campbell didn’t give us an Ash Williams cameo. There are even Evil Dead Marvel comics. It would have been canon! Two parts that REALLY messed me up was when Wanda asked Mr. Fantastic "is your wife still alive?" and when he responded yes, her response to him saying "at least she'll be alive to watch your children," that literally made me scared and uncomfortable. The other part that was legit horrifying was some of the deaths scenes. I'm honestly surprised this got a PG-13 rating. When Captain Carter got cut in half, I almost left the theater and barfed, it was so unnerving... and I'm a horror fanatic, so that should tell you something.
Also the part that made my audience applaud like crazy was when Xavier entered the room and you heard a bit of the original X-Men Animated Series theme play. That was just amazing.

Yup. She should feel very upset that an alternate version of herself had taken over her body and forced her to kill people that she didn't even know before. I mean, that Wanda looked very beaten and bruised when evil Wanda came to her house. I want to see that Wanda and how she overcome her mental struggle as she suffers through the gruesome memories. I want her to be the much better Wanda Maximoff who is a benevolent Scarlet Witch.

I loved Wanda’s villain storyline. You can tell they really listened to comic fans on that one. It’s very true to that version in that aspect. Very House of M and I LOVED IT. I don’t think she’s dead. She’s not easy to kill in the comics, so I assume it’s that way here. Plus we didn’t SEE her die.

Perhaps the Infinity War in that reality played out differently. It appeared to me that it was the illuminati (loaded down with op characters
such as Black Bolt, Captain Marvel, Dr.Strange with the Darhkhold, and Professor X) that killed Thanos on Titan before the snap took place.
Thanos didn't win and head to Earth to turn the tide of the Wakanda battle to where Wanda had to shatter an infinity stone to keep it away
from him. Maybe in the 838 reality, Vison was killed by other means or Wanda killed him and Thanos wasn't alive to use the time stone
to restore him to life. Wanda could have then used some form of magic to create the boys or maybe she and Vison would conceive in
that reality before he died, and Wanda was able to live a life with their children.

  • @deadpoolnerd

Wanda here is Marvel's top villain for me. I loved this didn't just feel like a superhero movie. It had so many darker horror esque elements to it. Seeing Wanda covered in the blood of everyone she's killed reminded me of Carrie, her just becoming this juggernaut force killing whatever in front of her snapping necks and all reminded me of a Terminator or Jason or Michael myers. Wanda summoning demons monsters as henchmen to do hwr deeds, like Pinhead. And what's even more scary is the thought if she fully did steal America's powers. She could enslave the multiverse to suffer and feel her pain. She could kill every version of herself across the multiverse and take their Tommy and Billy, believing she's the only Wanda Maximoff who can protect and raise the boys safely. Just hoarding alternate universe versions of her sons, locking them away just in case anything happens to one set of them she can just pluck another. And to her it's all justified because she's a mother it's all out of love and for their good "I'm not a monster.. I'm a mother". Very fitting with mother's day coming up on Sunday.
Even the ending fits with it not really fitting the superhero movie vibe. Normally its a full 180 happy ending, bright sun a sigh of Ah we beat the villain que smiling happy ending montage. But this just kinda felt like ok it's done but it's not happy. Especially with the possible hint of Strange being corrupted with the third eye. But even that is confusing, because next end credit bit he seems fine and in control.
Also the way they handled the new characters in the post credit scene Clea. She's just there and it's a ok who tf is this? It's portrayed like this is a huge deal, but as far as I know she's never been shown or alluded to in the past. So that feels kinda pointless. Like if it's to setup Strange going throughout the multiverse solving things, then like maybe Uatu from the What if show is the one to do that instead? Just felt bit underwhelming and confusing.

I watched Doctor strange and the Multiverse of Madness last night and I've seen many mixed reactions in my opinion I absolutely LOVED the film, coming from a long time horror fan, the horror elements were spot on from Sam RaimI a lot of it inspired from his movie 'Evil Dead'. The cinematography, score and the acting surprised me a lot. The trailers did fool me a bit since I believed this movie would be inspired by the 'What If' episode with Doctor Strange fighting Supreme Strange. I've already seen people hating on the fact that they killed Wanda off (supposedly) but I actually liked it. She finally came to a conclusion that what she did was wrong and sacrifice herself, she harmed many people along the way only caring about herself. Sure, the poor woman suffered a lot but to me I like the way it end. My only complaint of the film is that I wanted to see more of the multiverse though the members of the Illuminati were made. I absolutely loved the other two Stevens we got to meet especially zombie Strange. I could go on and on about the movie but this is my opinion and I really really enjoyed the movie lot making it into my top 5 Marvel movies. I would give this movie a 9/10.

I personally think she either survived, or at least right before she destroyed the Darkhold, and "died" she somehow brought Mutants into the MCU.

Rumor from a couple years ago suggested that the MCU Fantastic Four would be based off the Ultimate Universe version (which was already done before with fan4stic and look how that turned out) because they wanted the Fantastic Four to fit the same age as the MCU's version of Spider-Man/Peter Parker, granted this was a John Watts (director of homecoming far from home and no way home) idea and he has recently stepped down as director due to creative differences with Marvel,

The Inhumans tv show is awful, but Anson Mount as Black Bolt was GREAT casting! It was amazing seeing him reprise his role! Hope he comes back again in the near future 🙏

The fan casting for John Krasinski for Mr Fantastic was superb even if he may not be the one from the main MCU version i'm still glad we got to see it. It was brilliant of Marvel to cast him in the role.

In my opinion Chris, I wouldn’t mind if this is the last time we see Wanda. If that fortress really did crush her, I think that would make it a really nice callback to Spider-Man 2, when Doc Ock saves the day and falls in the water with his machine. imo, it was the “I will not die a monster” moment for Wanda’s character.

Yess! Saw this yesterday and it was so good! Wasn’t my favorite marvel movie but top 5. I absolutely loved Elizabeth Olsen’s performance though as Wanda. Only problem I had was the pacing as I wish it would have been a bit longer as it felt rushed but besides that it was awesome. Was so happy to see Professor X back as well as John Krakinski as Professor X

I thought it was decent. But I wasn't a fan of how they handled Wanda's character arc. I personally feel that she turned to evil, to fast. And I hope she returns.

I honestly feel like Doctor strange 2 could of been alot better, they teased Deadpool in the poster and an animated world, that teases Deadpool in the MCU and Miles Morales becoming live action. And i dont like how wanda was "defeated', i Liked the movie it was good but it could have been better
