Eric....the one thing I noticed about you during this trip was that no matter how sick you were you always managed to to find a smile and a chuckle. Way to hang in there. Kyde...you're a trooper for venturing out all alone. Kudos to you both. Loved the trip. Thank you.
+bolts “kgaf99” fan Haha, yea, at a certain point there isn't much else to do than laugh about it. I mean, my options were pretty limited. It can be rough though, that was pretty hardcore towards the end. -E
It was so painful to see Eric suffer so much. I'm glad you documented it, though, and counseled the need to be prepared for such eventualities whilst traveling.
I love how Kyde had such trouble describing the "selfie stick" as the term hadn't become part of modern vernacular.
Hahaha, that's pretty funny, actually. I wonder if she knows what it's called now though..... -E
Thank goodness! You guys made it back. What a relief. You don't know how much I enjoy these videos. Now, I could cancel my Netflix and just watch your videos all day long.
Haha, thanks so much! Glad you enjoy them! -Eric
Eric, when you were alone in the hotel trying to talk with us, i was legitimately worried about your life. You looked really, really bad. But then I remembered that this was filmed in January, and that you're fine. Thank goodness everything worked out!
I think Myanmar has been my favorite Kyde and Eric trip so far. It was nice to see how every problem got resolved by itself, and the arid scenery has a really cool flair too. Thanks for all the hard work editing the videos, they all turned out beautifully!.
Thank you so much! This is great to hear! -Eric
OMG, this series! I almost cried when you were doing a vlog at the hotel alone! The ending with you guys holding hands is class after the stuff you went through. The good and bad. Ha! My favourite yet... A close call though ... Kyde crying laughing at that mascot convention thing was 👍🏼😂
+Mikee's Drawings and Doodles Haha, yea, this was a pretty hardcore trip for me. Those last few days about took me out, hahahaha. Glad you enjoyed the drama! -E
Eric, Kyde being there for you when she's super exhausted, "is Iove"! ❤❤❤
Yay, it's here! Thank goodness! I sit in bed at night crying myself to sleep due to the thought you never making another video. You guys are awesome!
Haha, don't worry! We got a bunch lined up! Just need to find time to edit them! -Eric
I am from Myanmar. This is the best travel video about Myanmar by foreigners. I enjoyed it. I hope Eric got better and you both have another chance to visit Myanmar again without sickness nor trouble at the international airport. Thanks for sharing.
We loved our trip to Myanmar even with my getting sick. The people in Myanmar were incredible to us and the country was beautiful! We hope we get to revisit sometime in the future. -Eric
I am from Burma (Myanmar) too and , now , I live in Canada. I really enjoy watching your Burma trip because it reminds me a lot of things back then. I don't know your expectation from Burma. You might not get what you want from Burma if it is our culture or food because asian culture and food are very close to each other. Some people usually find interesting things when they set their focal point on what we do for our survival. For example, you saw how ferris wheel operated and how they built a Building.Almost every thing is hand made and it is good for Climate change. We don't really need to worry gas emission.By the way, It's so sad that you got sick. Again, I really enjoy watching your Burma trip , feels like watching X-Factor ,TV shows.
+Salaistephen San Glad our video reminded you of home! That's wonderful to hear. We did not have any expectations of Burma before we went, it was a very mysterious place to us, but we were very happy with the country we found. I still believe that the kindest people in the world all live in Burma. Such a loving country! -Eric
Yaaaay! Finally, part 7 has arrived. I've been patiently waiting for this. Thanks guys! :-)
You're welcome! -Eric
Wow guys! Stomach bugs are horrible. Eric you are a hell of a trooper! I loved the personal feelings and emotions that you BOTH shared in this video. You both clearly love each other very much. :) You have fantastic adventures. Please keep it up and keep sharing! Glad you are feeling better Eric!
Thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed this video as it was a bit different in tone than our usual videos. -Eric
So happy all turned out well in the end. You were both such good spots about all of it. Maybe being in a country with such amazing people helped out. What a feeling of comfort and relief to be back in your own home :)
Yea, being surrounded by such kind people did help a lot. I can't express how happy I was to be back in Japan though. -Eric
God blessed you guys greatly on this adventure.
Glad you were ok man, getting sick during travel or ever is never good. And thanks for sharing the video.
Poor Eric! This totally reminded me of the India leg of RTW. That struggle was so real. So glad this went up today! I love watching you guys!
Yea, I think this might have been harder than India. The sickness was much stronger....but in India we were both sick...it's hard to decide. Haha. Thanks! -Eric
Poor Eric! So glad to see Part 7 but omg, I actually cried when Eric was in the hotel room and Kyde was on the bus. I know you guys kept saying that you were mentioning the illness a lot, but honestly when you werent, I kept thinking omg what about Eric! lol Glad everything worked out in the end, definitely a memorable trip!
Haha, sorry to make you cry! You gotta remember I made it in the end! It was tough though, and watching the footage of myself so ill was a pretty weird out of body experience. -Eric
Pwee!! Finally finished it! After spend the whole night watching this series... I'm tired now :D !!! Incredibly great job guys!!
I looooooove your videos...thanks for the effort and time you are investing in order to make these beautiful pictures available for everybody else. :-)
You're very welcome! -Eric
We were from Myanmar and now live in NC. We just now came back from 5 weeks family vacation and the co-worker told us about your videos that you took in Myanmar.. We love your videos... Thanks for visiting to Myanmar and please visit again. By the way, I was in Yangon and Mandalay in Dec2013 too.
aunglin. jennifer Hi, glad you enjoyed the videos! It's really neat to us that people from Myanmar are enjoying them. I wonder if we passed each other during our time in Yangon in December! -Eric
Yes, we might had passed each other in Mandalay. my wife family live in Mandalay so we spend most of the time there.. I would like to ask your advise for where to stay in Japan if 4 of us choose to visit Japan. We heard JP is pretty expensive... I have two young kids so it's hard to do couchsurfing.. ..You two are really great couple and very natural. . Take care and enjoy traveling.
aunglin. jennifer
YEa, Japan can be a bit expensive for sure. At the moment the yen is pretty weak though so that helps a bit. What will get you is the transportation and hotels. Food is pretty affordable if you eat at the right places. -Eric
Thanks for the info.
So glad you made it home. Home sweet home.
Wow! I really liked the editing of your two separate video recordings. What a blessed finish to your trip. Kinda reminds me of your escape from India.
Best, Rick
Thanks! That separate timeline editing thing was the first time I've had to do that, glad it came out good. It did have a bit of an "India" vibe, didn't it? -Eric
You two are pretty amazing and I felt pretty terrible for both of you after Eric got sick. Also watching your other videos in Japan made me miss my trip to Japan and I hope to go back soon!
LancerJak Thanks! Getting sick was a bummer, but it made for good video! Haha. Hope you get back to Japan too, it's lovely here! -Eric
Wow!! I have had food poisoning that bad. I caught it the day I delivered my daughter and she ended up catching it too. I was in tears watching how sick you were and remembering what that is like. I am so glad you are better. I was treated like a leper as well. The hospital quarantined me and wouldn't let me come in contact with anyone that wasn't in full protective gear. I wasn't even allowed near my daughter for a week. At least I was in a hospital. I cannot imagine enduring what you had to in order to get back to Japan. You are both troopers. I am not sure I would ever travel to a third world country again after going through that.
+Christy Necaise Omg, your situation sounds much more hardcore! -Eric
I was in the hospital for a week and my daughter Morrigan was in the NICU for three weeks. The infectious disease doctor we had said the form of food poisoning we had was only found in third world countries. The meal that got me sick was from a Carl's Junior in California. It was pretty scary. I seriously felt your pain. You and Kyde are amazing. Thanks for sharing your journeys with us. ❤
+Christy Necaise Good lord, how scary. Being sick on my own is one thing, but to have a sick newborn, I don't think I could cope with that. Hope everything worked out for you guys! -Eric
I was waiting a long time for this thank you
You're welcome! -Eric
Kyde, you are brave to go on your own
Thanks for posting these videos, i recently had my tonsils removed and the videos helped me get through it easier.
Nice! Hope you got some ice cream too. -Eric
Thanks for showing us not just the fun aspects of travel, but also the undesirable aspect: illness. Both can occur during a trip. This episode will inspire me to be better prepared.
You're welcome. We try our hardest to show things are real as possible. -Eric
I like Kyde, she seems nice and Eric seems funny he has sense of humor
thanks for your videos I am leaving for myanmar in two weeks and I am so happy to have found your videos, you guys give a lot of information. I am now watching all your videos !!
AWESOME! Enjoy the wonderful locals! -E
Always best to stick together, finances be damned. Glad you made it back in one piece!
Besides Eric's sickness this is one the best series you guys have done, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Myanmar is a beautiful country and you guys are lucky that you got to see it in its natural form (mostly) before it gets spoiled by mass tourism.
Thanks! The funny part is that the only way to see a country before it's spoiled by tourism is to go there as a tourist. I have mixed feelings about it, to be honest. -Eric
Yay new video!!!
I'd definitely need a holiday after this holiday ❤
Awesome videos you made in Myanmar. I hope someday you'll both be coming back and see the changes.
We really hope to re-visit one day! -E
Thanks for the reminder of when I fell in love with you two! I had a snowday so I binged this series!
Oh nice! Hope it stood the test of time. -E
I had watched all 7 parts of Myanmar, I enjoyed it very much. I was born in Myanmar and I left there when I was 13 (1971) years old. I went back twice 1992 and 2014. I didn't get to do all the things you two did. By watching your You Tube I felt like I was on the trip with you and I enjoyed it very much, except the part Eric got sick. Sorry it happened to you.
Denna Wall Hi, thanks so much for your message. It thrills us that people from Myanmar are watching our videos and enjoying them. We loved it there despite my illness, I hope in the future we get the chance to return when the country is more open and stable. -Eric
glad you survived! I love the video and your channel, thanks for sharing.
I'm glad I survived too, dying sounds like a bummer. Thanks! -Eric
i love the holding hands shot at the end.
+Diana Frida Haha, yep! But the hand hold shot was actually shot really early in the series, so one of us could have died still. -E
enjoyed this is part 7 of 7 (burma) will be loking for your next adventure
+eugene glenn Check our channel, we have a bunch of playlists of different adventures we have been on! -E
That was so interesting ! Glad it all worked out !!
Thanks! We're glad too, haha. -Eric
I am surprised they didn't stop Eric due to medical reasons at the airport, but I'm glad you guys made it back all safe! Would have loved to see the emotional reunion :P
Yea, they tried to stop me actually. If we didn't live in Japan I don't think they would have let us get on the plane. -Eric
Cool . And love the way how to travel of u guys . I enjoyed from part 1 to 7.
Awesome to hear! Thanks! -Eric
little brook Excellent! -Kyde
great way to end the vid! i always get sad when a series of yours ends though lol. looking forward to more. keep em coming :)
Yea, we need to go on a new adventure! Pesky jobs are in the way! -Eric
awesome video and thank you for sharing you trip. glad everything turn out good at the end.
Thanks! -Eric
Great trip and the ending was perfect.
Yea, no one died! Thanks! -Eric
Great Video!
So Glad You Are Felling Better Eric... Wow You Went Through Some Pretty Scary Illness But Glad That You And Kyde Made It Home.. Ur Vids Are Great and Thanks For Sharing Ur Travels.. Stay Safe and God Bless You Guys.... Greetings From California usa.
Thanx for sharing your experience! Hopefully, I'll get to go there too! You guys are one tough couple, great driving!
Treborikki Pomegranates Thanks! I hope you make it there too, it's a great place to visit! -Eric
Treborikki Pomegranates Eric calls me Brussels! Makes me feel strong! -Kyde
Tough as nails you both are! Looking forward to more of your VIDs! Seasons Greetings and A Happy New Year!
I'm so glad you're doing well, I was really worried about you. I'm also very surprised at the cost of health care in Japan, wish it was the same here in the states. Thank you for showing me what an amazing country Myanmar is. Love watching your videos and please keep them coming.
Yea, the health care here is amazing! Will keep more videos coming for sure! -Eric
Glad you guys made it back ok, seems like half the trip wasn't so good due to health reasons, it's a huge service that you did mention that so other people can take precautions if they go on a long trip as well.
I wouldn't say the trip wasn't good, it was just though for obvious reasons. Next time we go I'm sure it'll be better! -Eric
I'm really glad everything turned out okay. The Beltar ride to Mandalay seemed pretty exhausted, both mentally and physically, even I was feeling it. Must have been some stressing times for Kyde. Besides that, Myanmar seemed to have been a good experience ! Thanks for sharing it.
Man, Eric, I totally sympathize with your sickness while traveling. Been there!
Hope Erics feeling 100% again very soon! Also I liked the part where Eric was like he misses Katie and she was saying she missed Beltar :)
Yea, she wasn't even thinking of me! Wtf?! -Eric
Great videos of Myanmar. What a long strange trip it been lol.
Hahaha, yea, tell me about it. -Eric
Wow! Glad you got better, that was tough!
+Ric May Yea, that one was a close call. -E
Aww that was sweet from the girls. Perhaps they wanted to show you kindness
Oh my goodness Eric you looked terrible! I am so glad you are okay.
Kyde: I LOVE the spend all your extra money left game! I play it as well :)

We've love to explore more of Myanmar. Unfortunately travel in lots of parts of the country is restricted at this time. Hopefully that will change soon, I'd love to try the foods of Southern Myanmar! -Eric
I see
Thanks for reply
hope the next time in your visit
you can go anywhere as freely as you wish :-)
Naung
Hello, Kyde and Eric, I loved your video about Myanmar but unfortunately you guys miss a lot of great food that Myanmar people can offer and of course you can get sick easily due to poor quality of water that they used. Anyways thanks for uploading a great video. Myanmar people is always smile, welcome and helpful. Thanks!!
glad you felt better at the end
Me too. Thanks! -Eric
Jay zu tin ba deh! uh huh.. love it
You are a trooper, Eric! Thank you guys for the great videos. I've really enjoyed your travels. Hope you're feeling better! Take a Break....:)
Haha, thanks so much! I feel much better now. -Eric
Awesome video. For part 6 it was rootbeer. For part 7 it was Jalapeno Doritos and Gatorade. Thanks again.
You guys are badasses. Glad you're both okay. Thanks for the vids!
Thanks! -Eric
can't wait. Yangon, Inle, Mandalay :)
Hope you are feeling better Eric!
I am! Thanks! -Eric
Wow, this video started out as kind of a downer and then it ended nice. Can't wait for more!
Genuinely felt sad seeing you so sick Eric... even though I knew you were fine because of the other videos but yeah :D really enjoyed this Myanmar series, can't wait to see whats next, by the way.. what were the other countries in Asia that you wanted to visit? ^^
Sorry you were sad watching my illness, but thanks for the compassion. Next up we are going to make some more Japan videos, they are long overdue. We have been to nearly every east Asian country, but we want to visit Vietnam, The Philippines and Brunei. Oh, I really want to go to Mongolia too. -Eric
Oh that was great!
So whats next i wonder???
Id love to see you guys do the Nordic thing
im not sure if thats on your list or not but id LOVE to see Eric
somewhere made for taller folks lol :)
keep it up you guys cant wait for more.....
We would LOVE to come to Europe. It's very strongly on our list, but it's all about funding it properly. It's going to be more expensive than SE Asia is, that's for sure. Gotta save up a bundle! -Eric
It's too bad that in the end you got sick, but you guys shown some cool clips. If like to go there some time and meet the nice people.
Yea! Go! Awesome country! -Eric
Beltar good luck! Wonderful trip and thanks for sharing. It's too bad that Eric was not 100%, but man you two looked like you had a blast.
We did love Myanmar. Next time I won't get sick! -Eric
Glad to catch the end of your trip. I am headed to Myanmar in October, will take some antibiotics and Imodium with me, even though I have never gotten sick before either while traveling. I think your trip home would have been a bit easier had you gotten some IV Fluids while in Yangon before you left, but I understand your reluctance.
Yea, the thing was by the time that I felt AWFUL it was too late to go find a decent doctor. Oh well, I made it. Enjoy your trip, it's an amazing place! -Eric
I envy the relationship the two of you share.
+JJ from Honolulu Haha, thanks! -Eric
The videos of this trip were awesome besides Eric getting sick, other than that well done.
So after this last chapter of 'sick Eric', did you take antibiotics and stuff to Vietnam this year or just hoped for the best again :)
SonnyViceR Yes! Lots of drugs! -Kyde
What a drama! So glad everything worked out for you both. Any thoughts on your next adventure? Have you guys ever been to Borneo?Thought we'd try it in 2015
We haven't been, but we'd like to go. We have a lot of places we want to go, but nothing planned. -Eric
I got sick like you did Eric when I was in Spain. It was Hepatitis A, and eating SALT and drinking liquids was a HUGH help. The salt was a big help with the dehydration.
+Ray Rothermel Yea, my issue was I would even throw up water. It was rough, this was not "normal" food sickness. traveling is fun! -E
great series guys, what bus service did Kyde take??
+Adrian F Oh man, no idea. Sorry! -Eric
Loved your Myanmar vids. My partner is from Myanmar but I haven't been there yet. We will probably get married there. Great eye opener. Being an old asia hand my favorite asian country is Cambodia because its relatively cheap compared to Myanmar but similar. every one I know who travels to Myanmar gets sick so that,s something I will be wary about. Again many thanks. Best wishes.
Jedward.
Yea, Mynmar does sort of have a Cambodia vibe to it, but to be honest the people in Myanmar were much kinder. Not that we had a bad experience with people in Cambodia, but the people in Myanmar are just SO nice. Not EVERYone gets sick, Kyde was fine! Haha. -Eric
closing shot = Best shot.
Thanks!
agreed =D they make an awesome couple =D
I can't believe she gave you an iv without putting on gloves, and of the course the iv line had at one point hit the floor. Crazy!
C Van Hah, yea, we didn't notice at the time but on retrospect that's pretty odd. -Eric
Registered nurse here. Nurses put on gloves when drawing blood or inserting an IV is NOT to keep it clean for the patients, it is to protect themselves from needle pricks ( although most times the gloves are too thin to prevent that from happening) and blood contact FROM the patient. So not donning gloves hurts the nurse, not the patient as long as the insertion area is sterilized and the IV needle is sterile. As for the line touching the floor, yes, the nurse should have been more careful to avoid that, it does have a cap at the end to keep it sterile, so it does the patient no harm.
I am glad Eric got some medical care. I really couldn't handle seeing him so sick. I can't imagine how miserable that must have been. And then with all that traveling, esp. on the motorbike! Yeesh, you guys are tough!
Anyway, glad you're safely back home. We may not know you personally, but we care about you both!
Haha, thanks. Yea, it was a pretty tough last couple of days there. I'm good now though! -Eric
Eric and kyde! Another great video, thanks for sharing. Im seriously so happy this video ended well after watching sick eric for 50 min straight i was really feeling your pain bro! Awesome to hear you got a sweet deal with your japanese insurance i bet that made your day aha! I love Kyde money stingeyness, and amazingly positive attitude. I think it relates to every tourist around the world.
Oh, and it Sucks about that extendo camera thing in security aswell, earlier on in the video i was like woahh thats cool! XD
ttrendxyz Thanks for watching some of the Myanmar footage! It was great fun to make despite being super sick. These things happen, I lived...and it made interesting video! Haha. -Eric
oh trust me i have watched every video of yours and i watch them as they come in. you two are the best reviewers of food on youtube hands down.
ttrendxyz Haha, as a person who literally knows as little as possible about food without starving to death, I find that to be a fascinating insight! -Eric
i guess its just the sheer variety of food that you two go and enjoy. like your latest Vietnam videos, its like you stop at every little shop and try new stuff. i wish the Americas had more street food like this and i dont understand why we cant. ive learned alot of tips from you guys for travelling thats another big reason why i watch. like a big brother and sister telling me about travel tips, customs, and even the kind of money they have in different countries. :) Kyde is so blunt too it just makes me laugh.
ttrendxyz Haha, awesome to hear. Thanks! -Eric
Thank you for sharing your great trip.
Going from tokyo to myanmar is real challenge may be start from thailand get some food poison and slowly move on to next place
I myself got food poison in thailand for 1 week ( even i had 4 different shot before going there) but after that none but i was very careful not to eat many things food and washroom plus mosquito is most annoying in that area.
Poor Eric! Poor Brother!! He was up on that Wheelchair. One of the great things about this episode I liked was that Eric was in some form of dilemma it was cool how you both shot both sides of your situation. I think this was the funniest, intense, episode of this week. Glad you made it home Eric.
tyronep22 Glad you enjoyed the video and that we didn't go crazy during this madness! -Kyde
I'm glad you both didn't go crazy either. Or we wouldn't have exciting new videos for all of us to watch. Keep your heads up, and keep life simple. I like what you both do, and I share a video to my friends daily of what you both have experienced. I can't wait to travel to japan. Def on my bucket list. #1
But thanks for the vids guys !!!!
Eric, you honestly were starting to scare me in this video and I know you're alive and well right now! Jeez, god forbid anything like this happen again.
lbonini1gaming Yea dude, I almost died. Whoops. -Eric
The bright side is that you can now say that and sound like a badass.
what a sweet ending
The feels damn that must suck to be sick for that many days and have to do the stuff you had to do. respect.
Hah, yea, it was rough. Thanks! -Eric
You guys have to be commended. You both have a lot of tenacity and perseverance. However, on your next trip my recommendation would be to stay together and never separate. Remember "TOP GUN!!" Never leave your wing man!"
Yea, we probably should have stayed together. Whoops. Oh well, we lived. -Eric
What did you eat on the 31st. and where? I've had the same problem in Fes and was bed ridden for 4 days and was sick about 3-4 days after that. Lost a bunch of weight. Glad that nothing really bad had happened. I'm going to Myanmar in July so I want to know where not to go. Thx.
Thanks for uploading! You guys are so perfect for each other! And agreed, the hospitals in Yangon are definitely not recommended... Maybe you guys could return to myanmar this january... haha... just a mere suggestion (ill be there) bye
I actually wouldn't mind going back, we loved it there despite having been ill. -Eric
Kyde and Eric whispers, january...
hi there, all of these video of you guys traveling the world is very awesome, I envy you guys. btw do you still need to have a re-entrance permit to leave japan for vacation and come back to the country later on?
xzibitgame Hi, thanks, glad you enjoy the videos. They finally got rid of that re-entry permission nonsense a year or two ago, thankfully. We can exit and re-enter with our gaijin cards now. Well, obviously we need our passports to get into and out of the destination country, but you get my drift. -Eric
Kyde and Eric
cool man.. yeah i agree with you thats re-entrance permit is kinda nonsense, glad they get rid of it. also I need to buy a plane ticket in japan, where do you guys buy your tickets? is there any website that sell cheap plane tickets that you guys could recommend?
xzibitgame Kyde keeps an eye on Jetstar and vanilla-air . -Eric
Kyde & Eric have you been to Guatemala, Central America yet???
Just Costa Rica. -E
Wow. Well, I'm not going to tell you what you should have or could have done, but I'm just glad you are okay. On the next trip be sure to take an antibiotics pack with you. Glad you made it home and are doing better. Looking forward to more videos.
Yea, we should have taken some with us. Oh well, I lived. -Eric
And probiotics.
Thanks! Woho
Any chance we may be getting some Japan videos soon?
Yea!
:)
As I'm looking at my own findings from my gastro doc, ask them for the video!
