I'm from Myanmar going to college in the United States. Your video is very insightful, and above all, it makes me miss home. Thank you for visiting Myanmar. I'm really glad you enjoyed the food too. That part is what I miss most about home. Cheers!

I'm half burmese and its a shame I know nothing about the country. I'm trying to learn the language which is very difficult since it is very different from English and my first language Filpino/Tagalog. This video made my day. It made me feel like I'm there myself. I'm trying to fill half of my life but I still can't,hopefully someday.

Myanmar is a laidback country with adventurous street life, very friendly people, amazing street food and just chaotic street life. Yangon is the city I was born and I lived in the upper and middle town of 27-26-25-24 street. You definitely need to visit Artha street, it has a very busy wild and chaotic wild street life. I grew up buying ingredients my mum ordered from there everyday.

That's great. I've lived here in Myanmar for almost 9 years and i think only done 3. Those are the touristy places. Go outside of yangon to a remote place Luke Kalaw or Taungyi or go to a beach. I recommend Shwe Hin Tha on Ngwe Saung Beach. There, you can stay in bamboo huts or a concrete bungalow and it is just so beautiful. I would not recommend eating street food because if food poisoning and if you do want to try it, just check to see if it's clean because it would mess up your whole trip to get food poisoning, and a delicious meal isn't worth that. Myanmar is definitely a place to travel to and super beautiful. I've fallen in love with it, but most of the things he showed were downtown. Go outside of yangon to placed like Dala or Hlegu, where usually no other tourists go.

I live in Yangon and one of my favorite places and somewhere I would take people to Dala which is across the river. There are local markets (which seem more authentic then some Downtown), a village hit by the 2004 Tsunami that has been all but forgotten about, a recycle store that is amazing, fishing villages with boat rides and a snake pagoda which was impressive. If you go to Myanmar please visit Dala!

Burma and Cambodia is a very DANGEROUS place! There is currently a civil war there and the Evil government military is mass murdering many smaller minority groups!! There is also many Evil chinese gangs from china that are kidnapping people and selling their body organs. Yes, you heard me correctly murdering them and selling their body organs. Chinese gangs use many methods to make you OWE them money, with fake jobs prospects, gamblings, and they kidnapp you and sell your body organs. Don't go to Burma and Cambodia, the Chinese gangs from china are hunting for people to kidnapp. I wish you all would watch Asian news from Hong kong, Japan, Taiwan, Malaysia.

Yangon is a fascinating town. I've been there for several months a few years ago. And I believe that some years in the future Yangon and Myanmar could be a new emerging economic country in the region.

Yangon, especially downtown area has a lot of room to improve.
Most of the street foods have poor hygiene, rubbish pretty much everywhere, and the number of pick pocket is increased.
The positive side of Myanmar is people are nice.

To be fair, considering I just came a year ago, i dont see much differences compare to the video that was made 5 years ago.
I doubt i will see any significant amount of change at anytime soon, also the pandemic for sure slow most of the things down.
Eventho i had bad experience in yangon, as my wallet was stolen.
But it doesnt stop me to make fair opinion, the police and Burmese are quite helpful and friendly.
