Thanks Sterling! God this brings back memories! My brother Ty was 7 years older than me and I'd listen to him practice to Rush, Yes, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Thin Lizzy, Kiss and others growing up in the 70's. I'd read the song lyrics on the album while he'd play and this particular song hit me like a ton of bricks! I had read the Lord of The Rings trilogy but when I realized what the narrator was talking about in the opening about how the loss of freedom was worse than death, that just put the rest of my life into a new perspective. I was only like 12 years old but Neil's words ended up guiding me through the rest of my life with each and every new album! I couldn't play drums or any instrument but I could take the words to heart. Ty passed away in 2018 and then Neil passed away, but the music will live on and I'm happy for that because that means both of them will live on.
@CJ the Spicelord Mine too. Sterling Fuentes, I did some heavy weeping when I first heard that Neil had passed. BTW, I damn sure am not afraid to say so, either. I thought I had stopped... but with each song I listen to you cover, I start crying again. God, I'm going to miss that man for the rest of my life. But YOU...there are no words... to tell you how much I appreciate your talent. Unlike most, Caress of Steel is my personal favorite. It just makes me feel good. And watching/listening to you do "The Necromancer" ...😁😁😭🙏🙏🙏👏👏👏👏... JUST... THANK YOU! I'm going to be up all night watching/listening to you. I have found a new favorite RUclips channel. Take a wild guess who it is? God bless you 🙏 ❣️ RIP Professor 💔🇨🇦🥁
I can’t believe you have only 15 comments. Your drumming is as close to a perfect representation of Neil Peart as I’ve heard. The fact that I can watch you playing makes your video a tutorial. Flawless performance! Major 👍 Addendum: i’m listening for a second evening. I’m almost speechless. Such precision drumming, and so faithful to the original! There might be a few differences, but I can’t tell where, and earlier in my life I could do a pretty close rendition, given I only had a 5 piece set, a high hat, and three cymbals. I knew how it was played, even though I couldn’t play it perfectly. Thirty five years later, watching this, at 58, I’m inspired to give it another shot. On this set, I’ve got a double bass pedal, an additional tom, and one more cymbal!
This is outstanding!!!!! Stellar job of absolutely nailing this. Great groove on the final passage. Bravo, sir!!! Can't believe that this doesn't have a million views. 👍👍

Rush's music brings me so much peace. I've been a huge fan since about 1980. I'm still in awe of Peart's drumming
One of my favourite rush songs

Well done! Such a forgotten gem. The 3rd part is the soundtrack of my happy place.
Fukin great job!
Fantastic cover. Probably one of my favorite rush tunes. An absolute emotional journey from tension, fear to the euphoric close out.
Wow, that was an awesome job! Definitely one of my personal favorite Rush songs of all time, and you did it perfect!
Excellent! Killed it! Nice kit too! 🤘🤘
Cool mate. Again perfect drumming!
Excellent job. Best drum cover I ever heard, peart hard to cover
Man, you were SO STILL before part III, I thought youtube had frozen. Also, excellent job.
If Rush do ever reform - they know where to come and it would be a fitting match as you obviously respect the prof
It would never work. No member of Rush could be replaced without the band losing its identity (unless your name is John Rutsey).
Such Reverence on The Throne!!! \m/ \m/
amazing job dude, you should be proud
Excelente!! Parabéns 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
