This tank with these gorgeous fish was a show stopper for sure! I am so happy I saw it in person and I am sure this video is appreciated by many fishkeepers.
I saw a tank once with about 100 platinum green tiger barbs and it was absolutely beautiful. There were so many and swam in unisome through the tank. In between the driftwood, over and behind the rocks. It was really cool....
Ive been keeping several types of barbs and the Green Tiger barbs have been really cool. They are very very active but havent been quite as aggressive as other barbs. Ive kept them in a group of 15 with a slightly smaller group of longfin rosy barbs and they all just worked. Was worried they go after the longfins but them being in a larger group they just stick to themselves.
I consider the color to be a dark teal which is my favorite color, it does have a shimmer of green over it though. I just bought 11 for my 125gallon. 125 stock consist of pictus cat(very small) albino bristle pleco, syndontis cat(small) green sevrum, 4 clown loaches. quick tip: increasing water current with these guys stops them from having extra energy for bullying. I'll be buying 4 more soon.
Thanks so much for this information! I saw one in a barb tank at my LFS, it was very blue, I fell in love and brought it home to my 60 tall community tank. He has doubled in size, and is still so very blue. Now I am on the hunt for more!
Hi, Thank you for all you video content I power watched and rewatched. I was able to purchased my 1st tank a couple months ago. It’s a 29 gallon and stock with glo fish, neon tetras, lamp eyes tetras and mystery snails total 20 fish and 3 snails these guys are so happy and awesome. Then we set up my wife’s Fish tank now #2 purchased 20 gallon with a single male Betta he is all kinds of happy. I’m going out today to add some female Bettas and neon tetras and guppies. Thank you guys so much for your videos. Awesome!
I was so excited to see your gunna be speaking at the keystone clash this year! Can’t wait to meet you there possibly! I’ll be a vendor there this year!!! Look for Just One More Fish there! Thank you for all you do man!
I couldn't buy more than 6 tiger barbs from the store due to low stock so I added melon barbs. They're more peaceful and seem to hang out with the tiger barbs. I haven't lost any fish in six months so far.
I have a few different kinds of tiger barbs and the green ones are definitely my favorite I also keep them with a couple of golden wondering killifish a opaline gourami and a couple of Pearl guorami and a clown pleco and they all do great together
really beautiful tank to watch. and around 5:27 i forget this lil guy's name. he might be a kribensis. but looks very cool in here. i'm not a tiger barb fan but i've always loved the green ones.
honestly, I've been keeping green tiger barbs for a year or so now in a community tank with smaller and long finned fish and haven't really had any issues with fin nipping and aggression. Any aggression I see is usually intraspecies, and as long as the group is large enough they don't seem to sustain any damage.
Beautiful fish. I saw some of these at one of the local big box stores not long ago. I really wanted to get them, but I didn’t have a place to put them.
Giant Danios are a good tankmate for Tiger Barbs. Giant Danios aren't aggressive, but they're more than capable of defending themselves, since they're bigger, stronger and faster than Tiger Barbs.
I'm considering redoing my 40-gallon tank with Tiger Barbs in mind, but probably not if I decide to get Pearl Gourami there. I'm not sure it would be large enough volume to avoid fin-nipping. In large tank it shouldn't be an issue actually. On the other hand I had one swordtail, which was serious fin-nipper and my Rainbow Sharkminnow was supposed to ignore SAE. Nope, it always drives them away (they are in much larger tank now, so it looks like a grotesque, but nothing serious).
I have a small group of these with my red eye tetras, neon tetras, 1 blue gourami, and one German blue ram... Plus some corydoras, I have never had any problems with them being aggressive except towards each other, at first I only had two and all they ever did was fight each other so I added six more and they've been great, also no matter what this guy says you are fine with 4 to 6... But more is better
That fish looks great, except being serious loner. I have 1 Rainbow Sharkminnow in my largest tank, it always drives SAE away like in a grotesque. These Labeos are great fish, good algae eaters, but they need their space.
I had them in a 150 and it wasn’t big enough for them. If I ever kept them again it would be in an 8ft tank with a group of 6 or more. They will eat anything you throw in the tank! Very active ruclips.net/video/wAn0eKDxbjw/видео.html
@@PrimeTimeAquatics I didn't even know them and they look awesome! By the way is there a reason why so many (different) species of Asian fish have a tiger pattern? Pangio, tiger barbs, snakeskin barbs, clown loaches and even the female Ruby barbs?
i would not recommend the red tail shark with barbs. i just had to drain 90% of my tank to get the shark out. not sure if the shark is just playing, but he chases the small barbs around way too often. but my fully grown glo tiger barbs actually seem to intimidate him.
i also have a few longfin glofish tetras and the barbs couldnt care about them at all. i was a bit worried about my peppered cory catfish for a second, but my purple tiger "hendrix" lost interest quick enough.
Barbs are aggressive since they are juveniles, in November I brought 42 juvenile green glow barbs now I only have like 18 or 20 barbs they kill each other 😓
@@grahamdorrell8976 I'd recommend Blackskirt Tetra or something similar. I have my Angelfish with Blackskirt Tetras, some Flame Tetras, swordtails and group of algae eaters: SAE, Rinnelocaria, 1 Rainbow Sharkminnow. Except Flame Tetras there's no issue.

Please don't add the female.
That’s so cool! Have fun
Beautiful fish! My LFS used to have a tank with these, rosey barbs (short finned) and Odessa barbs and it was gorgeous!
I have platinum green tiger barbs. Are those different? Mine are not this green. Yours are gorgeous!
Might have just been the strain?
Great profile. I’m one of the many that thought these looked stunning!!
Always preferred the wild type but these guys are stunners!

Thank you. Love these little fishes!!
Hello, I have 10 tiger barbs in my mbuna 75 gallon tank, they fit right in.
Yep - that combo often works too!
I'm considering redoing my 40-gallon tank with Tiger Barbs in mind, but probably not if I decide to get Pearl Gourami there. I'm not sure it would be large enough volume to avoid fin-nipping. In large tank it shouldn't be an issue actually.

These are beautiful, very different at least to me
I have eight tiger bobs in a 10 gallon tank. They’re doing well.

I had 35 Tiger Barbs in a 55. They began to die off after 4 years and now I have left. 😢 They are sooooo cool!!!!!
They are cool!
Red tail sharks are awesome. Don't have those yet

Very beautiful fishes and amazing tanks cool 😎 video
Red and green tiger barbs would look awesome together
Awesome info thanks listen to RUclips several times. How do you take care of tinfoil barbs?
I had them in a 150 and it wasn’t big enough for them. If I ever kept them again it would be in an 8ft tank with a group of 6 or more. They will eat anything you throw in the tank! Very active ruclips.net/video/wAn0eKDxbjw/видео.html
could you do a video on the longfin tiger barbs?
Wow cool colours for sure.
Beautiful footage
I have those emerald green tiger barbs awesome 😊👍
Yes they are!
Hello, another good advice about keeping barbs is try to keep more females than males.
What do you think about the odessa barb? I think they are the most beautiful barbs I have ever seen!!
I like them too, but my favorite are the snakeskin!
@@PrimeTimeAquatics I didn't even know them and they look awesome! By the way is there a reason why so many (different) species of Asian fish have a tiger pattern? Pangio, tiger barbs, snakeskin barbs, clown loaches and even the female Ruby barbs?
I like the red ruby bard. The variety that look super red at the head and super black at the tail.
My smallest/ youngest of my 9 tigers is starting to catch up in size and he's killed 2 of the regular there's already.. they are insane barbs
They sure are!
Could you keep 6 of reg Tiger and 6 of the green or do you need to keep it 12 of the same species? Or do they commingle well?
You could split them.
Very pretty tiger barbs!! Gina Hetlage
I also have this fish with another colour and another spesies any Tiger barb 🎈,Tiger barb slayer and Tiger barb 🎈 slayer
My jack dempsey culled my tiger barb squad from 10 down to 6, before I got to separate them.
They can do that :-)
are they naturally occuring or are they gmo fishes also?
They are line bred, but not gmo.
i would not recommend the red tail shark with barbs. i just had to drain 90% of my tank to get the shark out. not sure if the shark is just playing, but he chases the small barbs around way too often. but my fully grown glo tiger barbs actually seem to intimidate him.

Red color glofish tiger barbs are the most beautiful
Are these regular Greens...which are mostly black in color or are they Platinum Greens?
They were just labeled as green tiger barbs.
Can they be kept with a Gymnogeophagus Balzanii???
I don’t see why not?
Hey! Is there any chance you could do a video on 37 gallon stocking ideas?
Barbs are aggressive since they are juveniles, in November I brought 42 juvenile green glow barbs now I only have like 18 or 20 barbs they kill each other 😓
I’m sorry that happened.
Just wondering if they’re fin Nippers? Would they co exist with a fully grown blue acara and a pair of large angels? Thanks
@@grahamdorrell8976 They're one of the worst fin nippers.
@@matthewzito6130 Thanks for the heads up 👍🏻

My cousin had 6 Tiger Barb's for 4 years in a 20 gallon!!
how many green sumatra barb in 20 gallon ?
I wouldn’t put them in anything less than a 55 gallon. Too aggressive and need to be kept in groups of 15 or more to really be safe.
Nice
👍bristle nose go with everything 😂!
Pretty much 😀
niiiice!
Would a mixed community of green tigers with Odessa barbs work? Thanks
Sure!
Big-Like :)
Also known as Green Sumatra barb
What can you keep with green tiger barbs???
There should be a list in the video
He makes look breeding these fish easy to do lol
💚💙💛
I keep 2 tiger barbs in a community tank and they do quite fine.
Mine love hiding in the live plants
Thanks for the info. Definitely not the fish for me!!
